Gillian Jacobs is about to make a splash on the big screen. Sort of literally! The Community star has landed her biggest movie role to date, signing on as the female lead in Hot Tub Time Machine 2 , a sequel to the 2010 comedy that starred John Cusack, Craig Robinson and Rob Corddry. Adam Scott will also appear in the sequel, with Steve Pink returning to direct. No word yet on any plot details, but we’re guessing that involve a hot tub and time travel of some kind. We’re also hoping Jacobs shares a bikini scene with Community colleague Alison Brie . Please? Pretty please? How, exactly, can we make this happen?

Facebook’s botched IPO might be the least of its problems. Surveys say that while it remains the undisputed king of social media, a significant number of users are bored and tuning out the site these days. According to a new poll by Reuters and research firm Ipsos, roughly a third of Facebook users, and climbing, are feeling increasingly “meh” about it. The poll of 1,000 Americans also showed that 80 percent of Facebook users have never purchased a product or service because of an ad on there. Whatever advertising techniques companies are currently using to grab your cash simply isn’t working, in other words … not good news for Zuck. Unsurprisingly, the survey found that users between the ages of 18-34 were the most active, while just 29 percent of people over 55 are on it. People who spend a great deal of time on the network are more frequently becoming victims of what the researchers call “Facebook fatigue.” This leads them to spend less and less time checking in with friends and browsing the profiles of their peers, instead turning their attention elsewhere. John Travolta briefly surfaced Thursday night to honor his friend Shirley MacLaine at the American Film Institute, appearing in public for the first time in awhile. He has kept a very low profile amid a series of lawsuits involving male-on-male sexual misconduct and allegations of a gay affair (with pilot Doug Gotterba ). There was no discussion of that last night, just a tribute to MacLaine. Travolta spoke on stage , alongside Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts. The 58-year-old actor said, “Several years ago, Warren Beatty was talking about a young actress. And I said to him, ‘What was she like?’ And he said, ‘She filled the room with presence like I’ve never seen before.'” “And I said, “You know your sister, Shirley? She fills the room with presence.'” Travolta then added, “She fills the world with presence like no one I’ve ever seen before.” “And that’s my Shirley. And I love you.” “Shirley MacLaine is first a dancer, and when you move from Broadway to film to television to writing to directing, you have to move with the grace of a dancer. To train and push harder than you ever thought you could.” Well said.

But Charlize Theron is focused on the small screen. In a recent interview , the Oscar winner copped to being a MAJOR Game of Thrones fan, saying: “I am absolutely foaming at the mouth over Game of Thrones . I cannot get enough of that. When my son came in my life, that was a bottle feed because I couldn’t watch television; I used to watch so little. That was my TiVo feed every two hours – watching Game of Thrones . My mom was like, “Do you think it’s fine that you’re feeding your son while there’s like sword fights?” I was like, “It’s fine, Mom. It’s fine.” Would she guest star on the HBO epic? “I’d be totally open to it.” Game of Thrones , of course, is notorious for its sex and nude scenes. So, in other words series casting directors: Give Theron a call. NOW!

Chris Hemsworth may be a key part of the biggest movie on the planet , but his wife truly gave him a reason to celebrate yesterday in London: she gave birth to a baby girl! Multiple sources confirm that Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky welcomed their first child together yesterday afternoon, a daughter named India. Said Pataky in January, not long after going public with the announcement of her pregnancy: “Having the person that you love by your side, and starting a family with them, is the best thing that can happen to you in this life. Lindsay Lohan isn’t taking any more chances with her freedom. After another bout with trouble last week, during which LiLo was accused of a hit-and-run on some schmoe, she is following the advice of her closest friends and keeping things VERY low key until her probation is up in two weeks. TMZ reports that Lohan is basically on lockdown until the 29th. She claims she did nothing wrong, and at least one eyewitness agreed , the train wreck once again found herself in the news for all the wrong reasons. A club-goer claimed LiLo hit him with her car in Hollywood early Thursday, then drove off, something that could violate her probation if is were true. It doesn’t look like it is, but the latest incident prompted people close to Lindsay to flat out beg her to stop going out at night until her probation ends. Lindsay agreed and will now only leave her house when she really has to, like for her counseling or court ordered community service at the morgue.
