According to the Daily Mail reports , Jennifer St. Clair, 33 went on a date with Miles McChesney, 34, after meeting him on the Tinder dating app. Reportedly the date was riding a 2001 black Harley Davidson and St. Clair was his passenger for the night of December 6. She fell off the motorcycle and her body was run over by as many as nine vehicles after her date did NOTHING to help her, her family’s lawyer Todd Falzone told a news conference on Friday. Her date left her on the road and over a day later, she was finally helped by passing cars. St. Clair was found dead on Interstate 95 in Pompano Beach at 3.00 am on December 7. SMH. St. Clair’s family is not filing a lawsuit against the Tinder date, claiming he was drunk when the incident occurred. According to the lawsuit, the pair met with two other couples and visited a few bars in the area. The suit claims that McChesney ‘drank alcohol to the point where he became impaired’. McChesney is accused of ‘carelessly and negligently’ operating the motorcycle, causing St. Clair ‘to be expelled from said motorcycle into oncoming traffic’ on Interstate 95. Falzone said that McChesney did not call police and did nothing to help her. The lawsuit is seeking $15,000 in damages from McChesney. So far, no criminal charges have been file, the victims family is citing lack of witnesses as a reason. So sad.
Source: Nigel Carse / Getty $150 Million In Student Loan Debt To Be Wiped Away The Education Department is wiping a whopping $150 million in federal student loans off the books, and has already begun the process of informing thousands of borrowers that they no longer owe the government money because the schools they attended shut their doors. The loan forgiveness, which was announced earlier this week , applies to about 15,000 borrowers as federal education officials begin to carry out new rules that they fought in court for more than a year over. The department said it began notifying some of the borrowers by email on Friday that their loans would be discharged within the next few months. Any payments that the borrowers made toward a loan will also be refunded, it said. About half the borrowers attended Corinthian Colleges, a large for-profit chain that went bankrupt in 2015 after a deluge of lawsuits accusing it of predatory recruiting practices and false marketing. The rest attended one of the more than 1,000 other schools that shut down between November 2013, the start date for the automatic-discharge rules, and November 2015. The new rules require the department to automatically forgive the loans of eligible borrowers three years after their school closed, but students can apply before then. Under the Education Department’s closed school forgiveness program, federal student loan borrowers can apply to have their loans wiped away if they attended a school that closed while they were enrolled, or soon after, and they do not transfer their credits elsewhere. The program is based on the principle that lenders bear responsibility for ensuring that a loan is sound, and that borrowers shouldn’t be responsible for loans taken out for an education that turned out to be worthless. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has said that she intends to rewrite the rules for some of the agency’s debt-forgiveness programs; The soonest those changes could take effect is July 2020. “The federal government must become a more responsible lender,” Ms. DeVos said, adding that students “need to understand the implications of their decisions.”

In addition to starring in Teen Mom 2 , Kail hosts a podcast in which she offers even more details about her personal life, and she’s a popular presence on Twitter. You might say Kail is something of an open book — an apt description, given that Lowry is also a bestselling author . Kail recently published her fourth book, A Letter of Love , and in keeping with her devotion to her fans, she’s been offering autographed copies at a reasonable rate. Unfortunately, it seems some fans who ordered these personalized copies have yet to receive them. Apparently, the problem was that the distributor delivered a shipment to Kail’s house in order for her to sign them, and she was unable to bring the box inside right away. As a result, the books were damaged by the weather, and Kail was unable to ship them out. She explained the situation on Twitter today: “Update on “A Letter Of Love”, I am working with my attorneys to obtain rights to my book so I can have new books printed and sent to those of you who have yet to receive your copies,” Lowry tweeted. “At this time, the publisher does not seem to be issuing refunds or sending out new copies.” She added: “If you are looking to receive a refund from them, I would recommend to dispute the charge with whatever payment method was used to pay. “Contact with the publisher has been very sporadic and I am working as quickly as possible to get this rectified with my attorneys.” For the most part, fans were forgiving, but a few remained upset following Kail’s explanation: “The publisher said they had the books sent to YOU to sign and YOU LEFT THEM OUTSIDE! That’s your fault,” wrote one fan. “YOU said you left them outside How come your not refunding us or having them print more for you? It’s a tough situation, and while the fans anger is understandable, it seems there’s not much Kail can do at the moment. It also seems that she’s deeply upset about the situation. “I think I’m gona eat my feelings & go to sleep,” Lowry tweeted today. Sometimes that’s the only option. Erica Mena has been placed under arrest. The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast member was taken into custody on Friday after police arrived on the scene in response to a domestic dispute. According to TMZ, Mena and her boyfriend, Clifford Dixon, were both taken away by the cops after an argument got out of hand inside their Johns Creek, Georgia apartment. Witnesses near the scene told authorities that Mena and Dixon had not only been arguing, but that the latter had kicked in a bedroom door in order to get to the former. One of Erica and Cliff’s roommates even told police that she/he heard someone get slapped upstairs, although no one actually saw any physical abuse take place. Cops did not report any signs of an altercation on either party, either. This is to say, neither Mena nor Dixon had any marks on their bodies at the time of the arrest. Dixon was arrested for criminal trespass because Mena told cops the property was in her name. Meanwhile, Erica was arrested for possession of marijuana, despite having less than one ounce of her at the time of the arrest. She has since made bail. Mena returned to Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta last season. Prior to coming on board, she was a staple on Love & Hip Hop: New York. Other professional ventures for Mena include having written the books “Chronicles of a Confirmed Bachelorette” and “Underneath It All.” In August of 2017, it was announced that Mena would compete in the first season of VH1’s Scared Famous, which premiered on October 23, 2017. Mena was previously engaged to Bow Wow and wrote the following upon leaving the New York version of this Love & Hip Hop franchise: I have fan base that now become my family! One of the big things people don’t like about Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard is that despite being on a big TV show for years, they still beg their fans for money. That and all the bigotry, those are the two big things. It’s just always been so bizarre, because you’d think that the money they made from the show would be more than enough to support them and all their endeavors, at least for a little while longer. If nothing else, Jim Bob owns a fleet of private planes , it seems like he could give them a hand if they were struggling that much. But regardless of what you’d think or how things seem, the fact remains that there have been several occasions when the Dillards reached out to their supporters for some cash assistance. And that’s weird. After getting lots and lots of criticism for all their GoFundMe stunts over the years , and after failing to convince people that they’re just regular missionaries and that’s how things are done, they’ve given up with the fundraisers, for now, anyway. However, Derick did get the family fired from reality television , so you have to make ends somehow, you know? Well, it looks like they’ve come up with a new plan! There’s this foundation called The Tuttle Twins, and they release books for children about things like politics and history — books that the Duggars would enjoy. As the foundation explains on its website, “Each year, hundreds of millions of children are spoon-fed false history, bad economics, and logical fallacies. Your child is not immune.” They say their books are a way for parents to “inoculate their children against this trend to help them really grasp the importance of freedom and free markets.” So we’re sure the books are fine and correct and not at all terrifying. Anyway, The Tuttle Twins is holding this contest on their Facebook page where you share a picture of your kid with one of their books, and if your picture gets the most likes and shares, you win a cash prize of $350. You can see where this is going, right? Jill, who had to know that she has a massively unfair advantage with this kind of thing, entered the contest with this picture of Israel, and just to make sure she gets all those likes, she made sure she was in the photo, too. So far, Jill has far more likes than anyone else in the contest, and there’s really no way that she won’t win. It’s really a shame. There are plenty of families who could legitimately use $350, and for Jill to take that opportunity away from those people is just sad. And lots of people seem to agree. “Completely unfair that this picture was allowed,” one person commented on the photo. “Until recently Jill Duggar Dillard has appeared on TLC for many years. Now that Siggy is out of the cast, we can breathe a huge sigh of relief until the producers cast the next unstable person to try and cut the women down. Then, it all switched up and gave us a Dolores Catania and Danielle Staub argument for the ages. Dolores admitted that something was “off” with Danielle and that she did not have any evidence to back up the claims that she was on drugs. “I get it.
