Justin Bieber: Arrest Warrant Issued in Argentina!

Justin Bieber may be trying to clean up his act these days, but the Swag Master still has plenty of old legal issues that need to be dealt with. And we’re talking about crimes a lot more serious than egging his neighbor’s house . You may recall that the Biebs took a disastrous trip to Argentina in 2013. In addition to a bizarre incident in which Justin tossed an Argentine flag off stage , he was also accused of sending his bodyguards to beat up a photographer. Bieber was summoned to Argentina to answer for his crimes last year, but he ignored the request, because who wouldn’t? Now, one Buenos Aires judge is pissed, and he’s sent the word out that the Biebs is to be tossed in prison if he ever dares to set foot in South America’s second-largest country. (Thank you, Wikipedia!) TMZ is reporting that a court order has been issued stating that the judge in Bieber’s case considers it “pertinent to order the immediate detention of the accused.” “The accused” in this case, of course, is Justin. The order sounds harsh, but if you’re wondering what sort of authority Argentine police have to pursue Bieber outside of their country, the answer is absolutely none. In other words, Justin is completely safe as long as he doesn’t go back to Argentina. If this were the old Justin, he would probably fly down this weekend just to see what would happen, but the new Justin is probably smart enough to keep his distance. Cute, Low Impact Wool Felt Christmas Tree Ornaments by Planar

Photos: Planar. I have to admit I’m a bit the green grinch of the family: I really can’t stand all the mindless consumption over the holidays, and I’m always pushing the buy nothing concept. I don’t even have a Christmas tree. If I did, however, these cute, biodegradable wool felt figures would probably be the ornaments hanging from it instead of plastic shinny balls. More on them and Planar inside…. Read the full story on TreeHugger

Greenpeace Argentina Makes Procter & Gamble Take Charge For Tons Of Used Batteries

Photo: Courtesy of Greenpeace Argentina. Some may argue that Greenpeace has its twisted ways, but sometimes they just nail it. In Argentina, last year there was a huge controversy over a used batteries recycling program by the Buenos Aires government: essentially they were collecting them without a clear plan on what to do with this highly toxic waste, and when a province from the interior of the country said they were not taking them into their landfills, well, they were left with tons … Read the full story on TreeHugger

Private Parking Lots Forced To Offer Space For Bikes In Buenos Aires

Image copyright: McClellanParkTMA.org . In a city where bike theft is a very good reason to make you doubt about riding somewhere, providing parking facilities is almost as important as creating new bike paths . This is the case in Buenos Aires (and many cities around the world), and the reason why it’s so good to hear that the government has pushed a new law to provide several bike-parking facilities, including spaces inside pri… Read the full story on TreeHugger
