Cee-Lo Green’s Cell Phone Explodes In His Faceing While He’s Talking On It There have been a lot of jokes made about the exploding Samsung phones and the subsequent recalls, but this is no laughing matter. Footage has hit the internet of Cee-lo Green in the studio talking on his cell phone. Just a few short moments into the call, the phone explodes and Cee-lo collapses from his chair and falls to the floor, motionless. The rapper-singer lays there for several seconds and no one appears to provide immediate aid… First and foremost, we want to send prayers up that Cee-lo’s injuries aren’t too severe and that he can make a recovery. It hasn’t been confirmed exactly what type of phone he was talking on, but if it WAS a Samsung… …we’d like to introduce the new owner of Samsung as a staff, tech manufacturer and a muthaf**kin crew…Cee-lo Green. Regardless of the recalls there is gonna be a BIG lawsuit behind this. SMFH. Image via YouTube
Finally, Robin is making the money she deserves. Robin Roberts Signs Lucrative ABC Contract With all the health problems Robin has had to deal with, it is nice to see her win. According to Page Six reports: “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts has quietly closed a long-term contract with ABC, multiple sources tell Page Six, and speculate that it’s worth between $13 million and $14 million a year. ABC reps declined to discuss the value of the deal — or even if one has been signed. However, a source close to the network insisted the pact is only in the “high-seven figures,” or just less than $10 million. “Over a month ago, they quietly inked a new, long-term, very high seven-figure deal with Robin that will keep [her] at the company for years to come . . . it was a friendly negotiation,” said an insider. “Robin’s been [at ABC News] for over 20 years . . . and will be a leader there for a very long time to come.” The source said that Roberts — who was on leave for six months after a bone marrow transplant — “was extremely grateful for the kindness and love shown by everyone while she was sick. “She made it clear to her reps that she wanted them to drive a fair deal but didn’t want to create any kind of bidding war,” our source said. Congrats Robin! This raise is well deserved.
Usher and Shakira are ready to turn up again. Shakira And Usher Replacing Cee Lo And Christina Any time a show replaces you twice, it can’t be good. Plus, Cee Lo needs that gwap to pay his lawyer fees. According to Rolling Out reports: This week “The Voice” wrapped up season five by crowning their winner, Tessanne Chin. Just days after crowning their victor, “The Voice” announced that they will be bringing back Usher and Shakira, who will join Adam Levine and Blake Shelton starting Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, when “The Voice” returns to NBC. When Shakira announced that she was leaving after her short stay during season five, she attributed it to her busy schedule … “It was a hard decision for me to make, because I’m really fond of the coaches, the people in production and everybody around me,” she told E! News. ” I really enjoyed The Voice, but I also have a musical career and I’m a mother now and my poor baby’s so tired flying such long distances. He already has more miles than any pilot. So I think I have to give him a little break, and we’ll see what happens in the future.” There has been no word from either Green or Aguilera’s camp on how they are taking their replacement … again. “The Voice” returns early 2014, with a two-night premiere on Monday, Feb. 24 and Tuesday, Feb. 25 on NBC. Things aren’t looking good for Cee Lo Green. D.A. To Expose Full Story On Cee Lo Green’s Sexual Assault Allegations Cee Lo thought he was off the hook … isht just keeps biting him in the azz. According to TMZ: Crap is about to hit the fan in CeeLo Green’s felony drug case — at least according to the L.A. County D.A., which just hinted it’s on the brink of exposing the FULL story surrounding the singer pushing ex pills, a story that involves allegations of forced sex. CeeLo was back in court yesterday — when the judge set a date for a preliminary hearing in January — and prosecutors said they expected the prelim hearing to last several hours. The reason … prosecutors said there’s a lot more to the drug charge than meets the eye, insinuating they were preparing to delve into the nitty-gritty of the case … i.e. the sexual assault aspect. You’ll recall, this whole thing started last year … when a woman accused CeeLo of spiking her drink with ex pills at a Downtown L.A. sushi joint. She claimed the next thing she remembered was waking up in a bed nekkid with CeeLo in the room. CeeLo was eventually cleared of sexual assault due to insufficient evidence, but got hit with a felony drug charge instead. But the funniest part of yesterday’s hearing — CeeLo spent the entire time standing behind his lawyer Blair Berk, who was blocking him from the cameras. As we reported, Blair objected to cams in the courtroom because she felt they put CeeLo in the spotlight too much. Overall, CeeLo didn’t appear concerned — he shrugged the whole thing off on his way out of court. When will these ninjas learn to watch who they lay down with? WENN
Cee Lo and Chris brown keep catching breaks. Cee Lo Green Could Escape Prison Sentence With Plea Deal We thought isht was bout to get real for Cee Lo , but dude has good lawyers on deck. According to Radar Online: CeeLo Green, the singer and star of The Voice, will escape a four-year prison sentence if he accepts a plea deal being thrashed out between his legal team and prosecutors, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. The 38-year-old has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of giving ex pills to a woman who had also accused him of sexually assaulting her after a night out in Los Angeles last year. “But if CeeLo decides to plead out, he will not face any jail time and the charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor,” a source with knowledge of the negotiations told RadarOnline.com. “It would require him to attend drug education classes and narcotics anonymous meetings. It’s a deal that’s on the table. It’s likely the case will never go to trial.” Added the source, “From the outset, CeeLo has been very cooperative with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and he does not have a criminal record, which would help him in the event of any plea deal.” Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, appeared in court Oct. 21 to be arraigned on the sole charge of furnishing a controlled substance. At the hearing, prosecutors’ recommended to the judge to set his bond at $30,000 — a move that was agreed to and he was ordered to return to court on November 20. According to the district attorney, reality star Green slipped the drug to a 33-year-old woman while they were having dinner on July 13 or July 14, 2012. They later went back to her hotel, prosecutors have alleged. A Los Angeles Police Department statement, obtained by KTLA, detailed how the woman told police Green sexually assaulted her at the Luxe Hotel after the dinner. The Los Angeles Times reported the woman said she woke up nekkid in bed with Green in her room. However, prosecutors concluded there wasn’t enough evidence to take the forced sex accusation to court. Take the deal Cee Lo. WENN Continue reading →
The final night of The Voice Season 5 battle round saw Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton pair off their few remaining contestants. With Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder, Miguel and Cher joining in as guest mentors, who would emerge victorious and move on? Who would head home crushed? Let’s break down the final duels of the fall below … Olivia Henken vs. Stephanie Anne Johnson: “Done” – The Voice Battle Round Olivia Henken vs. Stephanie Anne Johnson (Team Christina): “Done” The Band Perry’s wordy track proved a challenge, but the two brought their best to this terrific battle, resulting in a split decision among the judges. Green and Levine loved Johnson’s grit, while Shelton opted for Henken for powering the country song. Aguilera awarded Henken for her consistency. Cee Lo them quickly swooped in and stole her rival. WINNER: Olivia STEAL: Stephanie by Cee Lo Jonny Gray vs. Shawn Smith: “Refugee” – The Voice Battle Round Jonny Gray vs. Shawn Smith (Team Cee Lo): “Refugee” The two military veterans faced off on a Tom Petty classic that challenged their rhythm and phrasing, but still fit both of their genres’ natural sensibilities. They did well, and it became a matter of preference more than a clear victory on talent, with the judges split down the middle. Cee Lo took Gray. WINNER: Jonny Preston Pohl vs. Barry Black: “I Wish It Would Rain” – The Voice Battle Round Barry Black and Preston Pohl (Team Adam): “I Wish It Would Rain” Before this tandem effort, Levine cautioned that Black tended to hide behind his runs, while Pohl had to learn to control his rasp and improve his falsettos. The creative musician Black pulled out his gimmick in the battle anyway, while Aguilera, Green and most importantly Levine praised Pohl’s soulful tone. WINNER: Preston Cilla Chan vs. Holly Henry, Brandon Chase vs. Emily Randolph and Keaira LaShae vs. Tamara Chauniece (The Voice Battle Round) There was also Team Blake’s Holly Henry (winner) vs. Cilla Chan, Team Blake’s Emily Randolph vs. Brandon Chase (winner), and Team Cee Lo’s Tamara Chauniece (winner) vs. Keaira LaShae. The Voice coach Cee Lo Green has been charged with one felony count of furnishing a controlled substance, the L.A. County D.A.’s Office confirms. Cee Lo pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stemmed from a sexual assault allegation. A woman accused Green of taking advantage of her while on ecstasy. Cee Lo Green Pleads Not Guilty Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, “allegedly slipped ecstacy to a 33-year-old female” on a date last summer, according to the D.A. Green, 39, and the woman later went back to her hotel room, but the prosecutors declined to file sexual assault charges , “citing insufficient evidence.” The woman had previously accused Green of spiking her drink, which the singer denied. He cooperated with and even encouraged a police investigation. Among the problems with her claim that Cee Lo behaved shadily that night? The fact that the two had dated for several months and been intimate before. Whatever happened, officials determined there wasn’t evidence of wrongdoing on his part, except for having the drug, which he apparently admitted on tape. If convicted, Green faces up to four years in prison, although more likely, he won’t do any time as a first offender. He is due back in court November 20.
Just when you thought you’d heard everything, wrap your brain around this: Jenelle Evans has apparently decided to cash in on her MTV quasi-fame by educating the masses about teen pregnancy prevention. Seriously. To that end, she’s already lined up a gig in Chicago. For reals. Jenelle Evans ‘ story of teen pregnancy and its consequences is a cautionary tale. Or maybe that’s just her life. She doesn’t do much with the kid, honestly. If you want someone to relay the dangers of rampant weed and heroin use, getting arrested a lot or beating the crap out of people, she’s your girl! In all seriousness, this speaking engagement is like a thing. “Chicago coming yr way in November! Details will be coming soon for all my events,” Jenelle tweeted last week , to which Kailyn Lowry responded: “Ummmm take me with after baby is born!” Every speaking tour needs a co-headliner. One can only imagine Jenelle filling an hour musing about life, love, weed, Olive Garden, Kieffah, more weed, Gary, Courtland, Nathan … whatever. Oh, right, and Jace. Cute little guy. Him too. Jenelle Evans Mug Shot Gallery You have to wonder. It’s one thing to watch Teen Mom 2, but paying to see Jenelle in person? How boring can one’s life be that one would consider that?! A Barbara Evans speaking tour? Now that would be worth it.
Night four of The Voice blind auditions proved that sometimes, the second time is the charm, while even a gifted talent doesn’t guarantee a spot on NBC. Who blew away Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton last night after failing to turn a single chair one season ago? Who else landed spots with the fab four of The Voice? Here’s a look at the singers who successfully gained entry into the next round last night … James Irwin – Losing My Religion (The Voice Blind Audition) James Irwin didn’t do much for the coaches last season. This time, with is performance of the R.E.M. classic “Losing My Religion,” it was a different story. Returning with newfound confidence and much more stage presence, Irwin had his pick of coaches, but went with the only one to point out weaknesses: Adam. Will Champlin – Not Over You (The Voice Blind Audition) Will Champlin, with a stirring performance of “Not Over You,” had all three male coaches pining for him. He went with Adam as well, a coup for the singer. Stephanie Anne Johnson – Black Horse and the Cherry Tree (The Voice Blind Audition) Stephanie Anne Johnson, with a performance of “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” landed on Team Christina. But Cee Lo is already looking to steal. Sam Cerniglia – It’s a Beautiful Day (The Voice Blind Audition) Sam Cerniglia sang “It’s a Beautiful Day” and the Michael Buble song was a hit with Blake, whose team he joined. Cee Lo also turned around for Sam. Olivia Henken – Two Black Cadillacs (The Voice Blind Audition) Olivia Henken had Cee Lo and Christina vying for her services with a strong spin on “Two Black Cadillacs,” and Aguilera eventually won her over. R. Anthony – Hall of Fame (The Voice Blind Audition) R. Anthony would love to be standing in the “Hall of Fame” himself one day, and took the first step last night, opting for Cee Lo over Christina Aguilera. Justin Chain – She’s Country (The Voice) Justin Chain only got one chair to turn around on “She’s Country,” but one is all it takes, as Blake clearly liked his take on the Jason Aldean song. Ashley DuBose – Diamonds (The Voice Blind Audition) Ashley DuBose turned all four chairs with “Diamonds,” channeling Rihanna in tremendous fashion and picking Levine despite near unanimous begging. Amber Nicole, Emily Randolph & Keaira LaShae – The Voice Blind Auditions Keaira LaShae also landed with Green, while Aguilera recruited Amber Nicole, and Shelton seized Emily Randolph to finish off night four of Season 5. That leaves Levine and Aguilera with 10 singers each, while Shelton and Green both have nine. Which contestants picked the right or wrong coaches? Who’s got the best team so far, and who’s been your favorite singer throughout the blind auditions this season? Sound off in the comments below.
