Julie Chen: Will She Leave Big Brother, Too?

At this point, Julie Chen is as synonymous with Big Brother as racism, homophobia and stunning evictions. And yet fans of this long-running reality show are now refreshing their browsers every other minute in order to learn the answer to the following question: Is Chen about to say goodbye as host? Questions about Chen’s future on CBS in general are understandably prominent at the moment, considering she just left The Talk . The veteran panelist did so amidst a sexual misconduct scandal surrounding husband Les Moonves, who just lost his job as CBS President due to allegations that he forced himself upon multiple women a couple decades ago. In a video message that aired on Tuesday’s edition of The Talk ( is that not the dumbest name ever for a program?!? ), Chen told viewers that she simply needs to be around her family as much as possible these days. “Right now, I need to spend more time at home with my husband and young son,” she said rather simply. We wonder if the intense criticism that came Chen’s way last week also played a role in this decision. Upon signing off from Big Brother a few days ago, Chen showed obvious support for Moonves by attaching his last name to hers for the first time ever on air. Social media blew up over this move. Is it shocking that Chen is standing by her man? Not really. But many viewers were still aghast over such a public display because Moonves is accused of some pretty heinous stuff . And he hasn’t exactly denied it, either . View Slideshow: Julie Chen Shows Subtle Support for Husband, Gets Destroyed on Twitter So, this all brings us back to Big Brother. Chen is expected to stay on as host through the Season 20 finale on September 26. According to Us Weekly, no decision has been made beyond this episode, with various network executives thinking it’s best if she just goes away. They figure the less association CBS has overall with Moonves or anyone in his family, the better. If Chen does leave – and this remains a big IF – season 2 winner Dr. Will Kirby would reportedly be under consideration as her replacement. The same can be said, according to this tabloid’s sources, of Celebrity Big Brother runner-up Ross Mathews and Big Brother Canada host Arisa Cox. TMZ, meanwhile, claims that Chen wants to return to Big Brother and that the current plan is for her to do so… … IF Big Brother is renewed, that is. Forget Chen’s future on the show, this website writes . The future of the actual show is in question. So that’s where things stand at the moment. Many unanswered questions are out there. Would YOU want to see Chen return as host? And would YOU want to see Big Brother return for Season 21?

Big Brother Recap: Who Is The Villain?

Big Brother Season 19 has been the worst season of the CBS ratings juggernaut, and part of the blame has got to go on the inclusion of Paul Abrahamian.  But then there is the sheer stupidity of some of the other housemates. Alex and Jason are a strong duo, so it was obvious they were going to be targeted sooner rather than later.  We picked up with the Head of Household competition, and it quickly became apparent that something was different about the dynamic. We then got to see flashbacks of Paul, Josh, and Christmas realizing it was time to attack.  They wanted everyone to throw the competition so that one of them could win and take a shot at Jason or Alex. Paul then basically threatened Kevin to throw the competition.  That would then allow Alex to drop out and in return, Raven would do the same thing. Paul stressed to Kevin that he was safe, while Alex was under the impression Kevin would be put up as the replacement nominee.  For some reason, Alex hates Kevin and wants nothing more than to see him going out of the game while she sits with a smug look on her face. The CBS edits make Alex look like an angel.  Over on the feeds, it is an entirely different story. She says some outlandish things about her fellow houseguests, and it’s pretty sad.  In the end, Josh let Christmas win the HOH competition, which was pretty crazy when you consider her ailment and that it was a running contest.  Somehow, the houseguests are intent on breaking the rules this season.  Christmas questioned whether it would be a good idea to draw a line in the sand quickly as opposed to having back and forth all week. That way, they would respect her honesty.  The Tree of Temptation returned, and nobody took anything from it. Jason and Alex are going to be so pissed when they watch the season back.  Christmas went with nominating Jason and Alex, and it seemed like Jason had a sudden realization that he is the target. Alex continued to act dumb by saying she trusted Christmas and felt that there was a bigger plan at play.  Sigh.  Just hand Paul the money and let it be over. This is just getting more and more tiring to watch. It’s time to stop bringing the veterans back. This will mark two seasons in a row that a veteran has won.  What do you think about all of this? Melania Trump Nude Pics: Actually Published by New York Post!

Over the course of his Presidential campaign, Donald Trump has insulted Mexicans. And Muslims.  And women. And pretty much anyone who isn’t Donald Trump.  He even went after Khizr Khan over this weekend, following the moving speech that “Patriotic Muslim” gave about his dead soldier of a son at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night. Based on all of these wide-ranging insults, it’s hard to say anything is off limits when it comes to firing back at Donald Trump. Except, perhaps, for what The New York Post just did. The newspaper has run a front page that features the headline “THE OGLE OFFICE” and which also features a photo of Melania Trump… nude. Here. Click below to see an uncensored version for yourself: The front page said it has “exclusive photos” and that “you’ve never seen a potential First Lady like this,” adding: Steamy photos of Melania Trump emerged as husband Donald ratchets up his race for President. The nude pictures were snapped in Manhattan in 1995, revealing the potential First Lady’s life as a model known then as Melania K. Now, look: Melania Trump signed a modeling contract at the age of 18. Her past in this industry is not a secret. Prior to becoming Donald Trump’s third wife, Melania worked as a model for fashion houses in Milan and Paris, France, before relocating to New York City in 1996. She has appeared on the covers of such publications as Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue and Vanity Fair. So one could argue that Donald Trump knew who he was marrying and that any photo Melania willfully posed for in a professional context is fair game. But this does seem unnecessarily sleazy and shameful, doesn’t it? Melania Trump RNC Speech: Ganked from Michelle Obama? There’s plenty to mock about Donald Trump. There are plenty of negative things you can write about the man himself. Why drag his wife into it, especially his NAKED wife? Yes, any outlet and any individual with a public platform and conscious ought to be coming out against Donald Trump, doing all they can to ensure this ignorant bully and bigot does not become President of the United States. But they should be able to accomplish that goal without dragging his family members through the mud. Do you agree? Or do you think Melania Trump’s nude past is fair game? Dave Schwartz Dies; Weather Channel Meteorologist Was 63

Dave Schwartz has lost his battle with cancer. The Weather Channel meteorologist, who has defeated that horrible disease two times in the past, was 63 years old. “It is with a heavy heart and great sadness to let you know that Dave Schwartz has passed away,” the Weather Channel said in a statement on Facebook. “He was a fan and staff favorite because he so obviously loved what he did and had a unique ability to draw viewers into the fascinating world of weather.” Concluded the emotional message: “His passion for weather was contagious and inspired many to enter the field of meteorology. His passion and love of weather will never be forgotten, he will be greatly missed.” About a decade ago, Schwartz was given just a year to live after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. According to the station, he then suffered through an unsuccessful procedure to remove a tumor. However, after radiation and chemotherapy treatments and another procedure, he was deemed cancer free. Months later, though, his pancreatic cancer had returned… yet he found a treatment and became cancer free once more.  Last year, the beloved weatherman was diagnosed for a third time. After taking some time off and after receiving comments and messages of support from viewers, he addressed his battle with the illness on air. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Passed Away in 2016: Gone, But Not Forgotten “I want to let you know the reason why I have lost 35 pounds in the last five months is that I am being treated for cancer,” he said on World Cancer Day in February. “Stomach cancer, of all things for a foodie.” Schwartz went on to discuss his experience in detail, aiming to give fellow cancer fighters hope. His co-workers at the Weather Channel remember him as “the most creative personality to ever appear on The Weather Channel.” Here is what Jim Cantore had to say upon his passing: “Everything was genuine about this wonderful man. He was everybody’s friend and that’s what he really wanted to be. “He made so many of us laugh, smile, and wish we were like him. He was so genuine and trustworthy – things that come from the soul and cannot be taught … “I’m so thankful he was on our team doing what he loved till the end of his time.”

Karlie Hay Crowned Miss Teen USA, Disparaged for N-Word Use

Another week, another beauty pageant scandal… On Saturday night, Karlie Hay was crowned Miss Teen USA, representing the state of Texas and taking home the crown over four other finalists (who were all blonde-haired and blue-eyed). But it didn’t take long afterward for a few comments from Hay’s past to come back and haunt her. An astute Twitter user has tracked down a number of Tweets Hay sent in 2013 in which she dropped the N-Word on multiple occasions. It’s difficult to make out the context of this racial epithet use based on the following messages… … but what context could there really be for white woman to use this word that would make it remotely acceptable? Former Miss Teen USA Kamie Crawford read about the scandal and decided to speak out on Twitter regarding Hay’s controversial past. “I can take the #missteenusa top 5 being an all white, all blonde top 5. What I can’t take is – why didn’t the winner clean up her page?” Crawford wrote on social media. “If u win any pageant – first things first. Clean up ur page. Cus if ur under 21 u shouldn’t b drinking&if ur WHITE the n word ain’t yo word!” We may have phrased it differently, but she makes some good points. Once Hay’s Tweets went viral, Karlie issued a public Mea Culpa that reads as follows: “Several years ago, I had many personal struggles and found myself in a place that is not representative of who I am as a person. I admit that I have used language publicly in the past which I am not proud of and that there is no excuse for,” she wrote on Instagram. She went on: “Through hard work, education and thanks in large part to the sisterhood that I have come to know through pageants, I am proud to say that I am today a better person. “I am honored to hold this title and I will use this platform to promote the values of The Miss Universe Organization, and my own, that recognize the confidence, beauty and perseverance of all women.” View Slideshow: 19 Ugly Beauty Pageant Scandals Soon afterward, The Miss Universe Organization issued a statement to E! News. “The language Karlie Hay used is unacceptable at any age and in no way reflects the values of The Miss Universe Organization. As Karlie stated, she was in a different place in her life and made a serious mistake she regrets and for which she sincerely apologizes,” the statement read. “Karlie learned many lessons through those personal struggles that reshaped her life and values. We as an organization are committed to supporting her continued growth.” Hay is only 18 years old. She’s young and we all make mistakes. But we say this after every beauty pageant, even the ones that lack scandals, because the year is 2016 and everything. So here we go: HOW ARE BEAUTY PAGEANTS STILL A THING?!? Big Brother Recap: Who Got the First Care Package?

Sometimes, a little advantage is all you need in the Big Brother house to change things up, but does it come with a price? Natalie won the first care package and it shocked the other houseguests.  You really can’t blame them. She’s not playing the game at all. She’s won zero competitions and has previously made it clear that she’s only in the house for a vacation.  Why sign up for Big Brother if you’re not going to play the game? Moreover, why would someone want to willing float on through the game? It’s clear she has fans, but they’re probably only fans because of her relationship with James.  At the HOH competition, James seemed to be coaching her for the win and he didn’t even seem quiet about it. Everyone else knew what he was doing.  They’re flaunting their showmance and it almost resulted in Natalie winning the HOH. I shudder to imagine what crazy decisions she would make with some power.  Are they purposefully trying to stick out as targets? James seems to forget that he’s played the game before.  Paul managed to hit the perfect shot first and secured his first HOH win of the summer. This meant that his alliance members were all safe.  He was also pretty vocal about his plan to take out Bridgette. The thing that’s good about Paul is that once he has a plan, he wants to stick to it.  It’s just a shame that his alliance members didn’t want to. Paulie seems to be getting the other houseguests to do his dirty work and that’s something that other houseguests will pick up on soon enough. Paul needed one of his own to sit pretty with Bridgette on the block, but trying to get someone was super awkward.  The fairest way to do it would have been to put all the names in a hat and draw one out.  Nicole was silly to even entertain the idea of going on the block. No one should willingly volunteer. At this rate, she’ll be out of the game by next week.  Paulie’s decision to go on the block was a surprising one, but it showed his loyalty to Paul.  Da’vonne is the target, but she seems to think that Nicole could be the one to go.  Paul nominated Paulie and Bridgette for eviction. The plan is for Paulie to win the veto and for Da’vonne to go up as the replacement nominee.  Will it work out that way? Hit the comments! So I guess Selena Gomez must’ve heard that I’d already picked out her replacement (that’d be  Becky G ), because she just released the music video for her new single “Hands to Myself.” And it has everything I’d ever want in a video: Selena touching herself in lingerie, Selena touching herself in a bathtub, and the ability to watch it on mute.
