However this time, it’s for a seemingly abusive altercation with her own daughter. According to WSB , Tommie, whose real name is Atasha Chizaah Jefferson, was taken in by Cobb County Police and charged with felony aggravated assault, simple battery, first-degree child cruelty and disruption of public schools after reportedly shoving her daughter’s head into a locker among other violent acts at Griffin Middle School in Smyrna, GA. She reportedly posted $27,000 bond on Wednesday morning and is back home awaiting her hearing now. SMH. Tommie notably has a short temper, which is likely why she’s been arrested nearly 40 times at this point. * Now how can you be mad at her, I ask you? As the saying goes, “When life gives you lemons, doggone it! Make lemonade!!” That’s exactly what Shia Yearwood did when she seized the moment and used her mugshot photo as an opportunity to promote her hair business. Arrested and charged with violating a domestic protective order in Mecklenburg County on Wednesday, Yearwood started receiving compliments on her braids after the facility published her picture. Twitter account @CharlotteMugs shared her mugshot, and the responses came pouring in. “Okay but who did her hair?” Twitter user @daleeshish asked. “Me,” Yearwood replied. Yearwood retweeted the mugshot on Thursday, promoting her hairstyling business with the hashtag #BraidsByShia. In the Inside Edition video below (scroll down) the 24-year-old says it all stated as a joke for her friends. “I tweeted it just being funny saying #BraidsbyShia.” They flash on her mugshot photo and, it’s not bad at all — as mugshots go. It’s no wonder she wasn’t embarrassed to flaunt it! And the risk she took paid off ! By Sunday, her tweet had more than 4,000 retweets and 8,000 likes. Business, she says, is booming! “I would just like to say I do appreciate the internet for the laughs and the new clients,” she tweeted on Saturday. “Lol turn negatives into positives all 2018.” Now of course everyone is wondering why she was in jail in the first place? A dash cam video has emerged of a police officer making racially charged remarks in reference to police violence. The video shows Lt. Greg Abbott of the Cobb County (Georgia) Police Department asking a woman to pick up her phone during a DUI stop. The woman said she’s afraid to put her hands down because she’s “seen too many videos of cops.” “But you’re not Black,” Abbott says on video . “Remember we only shoot Black people. Yeah. We kill Black people right?” An internal investigation was opened on Aug. 25 and Abbott has been assigned to administrative duties pending the outcome of the investigation. Cobb County police chief Mike Register denounced the incident, saying that “no matter what context it was said, it shouldn’t have been said.” “We’re not making any excuses,” Register added. “We’re meeting this head-on and we’re going to deal with it.” As expected, Abbott’s attorney issued a statement via WSB-TV Atlanta that was dismissive of the response to his client’s words: “Lt. Greg Abbott is a highly respected 28-year veteran of the Cobb County Police Department. He is cooperating with the department’s internal investigation and will continue to do so. His comments will be observed in their totality to understand their context. He was attempting to de-escalate a situation involving an uncooperative passenger. In context, his comments were clearly aimed at attempting to gain compliance by using the passenger’s own statements and reasoning to avoid making an arrest.” Those in positions of power, like Register’s, know these racist, violent systems exist as much as we do. Many of them wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for the blood shed by Black and brown bodies. It’s only when someone says it out loud that it then becomes a problem. You can watch the video below. Baby Fight Club Workers Convicted A 26-year-old d aycare worker who allowed children under the age of 1 to fight under her supervision, was finally convicted today, after being arrested back in 2013. Kierra Spriggs is now finally under the same duress her colleague Sarah Jordan faces, who was convicted of similar charges last month. The two were found guilty of child cruelty and assault. The two women organized the fights to entertain themselves. Witnesses at Spriggs child said she stepped on the children’s feet, dunked them in cold water and fed them spicy foods on purpose according to People . All of this for self amusement. The two workers have not been sentenced yet, sentencing for Jordans happens in May. There are no details yet on Sarah Spriggs’ sentencing date. SMH. Prince Edward County Police

Thieves Steal $1 Million In Luxury Goods From Texas Home After National News Appearance As the old saying goes, “a fool and his money are soon parted.” A former Texas beauty queen learned this the hard way after flexing her luxury items all over national news and attracting thirsty thieves to her home. Via MailOnline : Just weeks after her luxurious ‘she cave’ became national news, someone has robbed former Mrs. Texas United America of nearly $1 million in jewelry, bags, and valuables. Theresa Roemer said she and her husband were only gone 90 minutes for dinner at a country club just two blocks away, but they came home to broken glass and empty shelves. The robbery bears all the markings of being perpetrated by a professional thief. It appears the robber gained entrance by using a glass cutter to get into the bathroom. The intruder was likely small, based on the size of the hole. ‘I have 16 cameras on this house and there’s no footage of him anywhere around the house – nowhere,’ Roemer told the Montgomery County Police Reporter. ‘It had to be out that dark back corner of the house and out the back gate to the golf course.’ Surveillance footage recorded a small man dressed entirely in white and wearing gloves in the house, taking four trips to move all the goods outside. The Roemers did not turn on their security system since they were only going a short distance, but did lock the house. Theresa Roemer told police she saw an unfamiliar Hispanic man in his late teens outside her gate earlier, but assumed he lived in the neighborhood. ‘They took everything,’ Roemer said. ‘They took all my jewelry, all my watch collections, my husband’s watch collections, my Birkin collection. They literally walked out with between $800,000 and a million dollars’ worth of stuff.’ Well whose fault is that? Flexing goes wrong far more often than it goes well. If she had kept her business to herself, she’d still have all her Rolies and Birkins sitting right where she left them. SMH.

Just because you post pics of yourself doesn’t mean it’s not still illegal Teen Charged With Child Porn After Posting Unclothed Selfies To Twitter Via Wavy James City County Police say a teenager is facing child pornography charges after allegedly tweeting nude pictures of herself. According to Stephanie Williams-Ortery with the James City County Police Department, officers received an anonymous tip about nude pictures posted on Twitter by the 16-year-old girl. It is unclear how many pictures were involved, but police say they were posted either on or around Jan. 30. Williams-Ortery said photos were also sent to some boys. A school resource officer was notified, and spoke with the teen and her mother. “It’s not just friends that see what they post but also strangers and everyone else out there,” said Williams-Ortery. “You have no idea who’s out there watching. You never know who’s going to see what you post.” The teen’s phone was confiscated for evidence, and she was charged with one count of distribution of child pornography. Williams-Ortery said other teens should be aware that they stand to get in trouble for pictures of this nature too, even if they aren’t the one’s who took the photo. “I would hope that they would not then forward it on to their friends because then they become guilty also of distribution of child pornography, whether they know that or not,” Williams-Ortery said. Man Charged For Smashing Girlfriend’s Baby To Death R.I.P. to little Jamir…. Via WJLA: A 26-year-old Suitland man killed a 2-year-old boy this past May after he climbed onto a piece of furniture, then “disrespected him” with a facial expression, prosecutors say. In charging documents released Thursday, officials say that Clifton Bernard grabbed 2-year-old Jamir Shipe and shoved him to the floor on May 22, then grabbed him by the face and forced his head through a wall. Prince George’s County Police say that Bernard admitted to killing Jamir, the son of the woman he was in a relationship with, in an interview shortly after the boy was discovered. At some point, authorities say that Bernard became enraged with Jamir after he climbed onto some furniture inside the home. At that point, he is accused of grabbing the boy by the midsection and throwing him to the floor. Bernard then admitted to grabbing Jamir by the face and pushing his head into a wall. However, when he called 911, Bernard told dispatchers that the boy was choking on food. Jamir was suffering from multiple severe injuries, including broken bones in his face and head and total respiratory failure. He died the next day. We hope this monster gets locked up FOREVER. Long hair don’t care… But how bad is it that many folks assume that being mixed is a recipe for “good hair” ? The reason we ask is that we read a lengthy interview with our boo thang Elle Varner from the November issue of Sister2Sister magazine where publisher Jamie Foster Brown grills Elle about where she got her thick natural hair and starts quizzing her about her gene pool. Via the print edition of S2S : Jamie: Okay, what about that hair? Where did you get that hair from? Elle: My hair is my hair, you know? I’m Cape Verdean and Black. Jamie: But who in the family has hair like that? Does your mom have a lot of hair? Elle: My dad’s hair is thick and long, and, like, longer than mine. It’s crazy. My dad has so much hair. Jamie: He’s got long hair too? Is he mixed or anything? Elle: Yeah, he’s half Black, half Swedish. Did that offend you at all? Or did it sound like perfectly normal questions? The reason we ask is that Melanie Fiona was reamed this summer for remarks she made in an interview she did this June/July with a “black hair” magazine. Here’s the troublesome quote from the Sophisticate’s Black Hair Styles and Care Guide interview via Longing4Length.com : SBH:What’s the secret to your gorgeous long hair? Melanie Fiona: I was born with a full head of hair, and my mom wouldn’t let me cut it until I was 12! I’m mixed – my mom is Black and Portuguese and my dad is Indian so I have a good mix for growth . Elle’s answer isn’t much different from Melanie’s — the response is that their hair texture is a gene pool thing. But many folks took offense to what Melanie had to say because she chose the words “good mix for growth” but Elle’s answer implies almost the same thing. So what’s really the difference? And does it even matter? Let’s be honest, you don’t have to be “mixed” to have good hair. There are plenty of full black women with healthy heads of thick, long, natural hair. So do we all need to be re-educated about this topic? Regardless, the “exotic” girls seem to always have the most success in the entertainment business, so is this just a touchy topic for black women? Please discuss! WENN

They had an affair and homeboy put her azz on blast via twitter…SMH. What’s up with all these female teachers being attracted to high school boys ?? According to The Grio: A substitute teacher at Cosby High School in Midlothian, Virginia, has been fired for allegedly having intimate relations with a former student. WRIC-TV reported that Anna Michelle Walters, was fired on Friday when school authorities first learned of the allegations. Justin Fosters, now a college student at West Virginia University, took to Twitter on Tuesday to give a detailed account of an affair with substitute teacher, Walters, while he was a student at Cosby High School with picture proof. Chesterfield County Police are investigating how old Fosters was when the affair took place, and are also looking into claims that Walters might have been involved with other students. Fosters tweeted: “Everyone be on twitter tonight lmfao,” and then followed with “oh man s**** going down tonight please if you attend Cosby or used to please be on twitter it’ll be a treat.” Fosters then proceeded to post a naked picture of Walters, along with screenshots of text messages that were exchanged between the two. His action generated mixed reactions on the social media, as one person tweeted praises at Fosters saying: “No matter what people say @DubVeeU is a f****** boss. #BossStatus” And another person rebuked him for his antics, saying, “Hey, just want you to know That you’re a big thing in Sweden…and we all think you’re a very sad person.” It is unclear what the motivation was, that led Fosters to reveal his exploits with the substitute teacher, but some are speculating that it was part of a fraternity initiation.
