Source: Jason LaVeris / Getty The premiere of TV One’s Bobbi Kristina movie left many fans questioning the final months of Bobbi Kristina’s life, namely if her then-boyfriend Nick Gordon killed her following a domestic violence incident in the hours before she was found unconscious in a bathtub. According to reports , she took Nick in because his mother couldn’t take care of him anymore and allegedly “put him out.” According to Michael Houston, Gordon was “like a son to her.” However, Gordon was not in Whitney’s will and she left her full estate to Bobbi Kristina, who would have inherited it at 30-years-old. 2. What Is The Significance Of Britt’s Character In The Movie? Bobbi Kristina’s real life friend Alex Reid played a significant role in her life and in her budding music careee. The pop singer played herself in the film, under the character name Britt, and provided insight into Bobbi K’s tumultuous relationship with Nick Gordon. 3. How Did TV One Come Up With The Script? Did Nick Gordon Physically Beat Bobbi Kristina Before Her Death? In an exclusive interview with E! News, Alex Reid revealed Nick Gordon was physically abusive to Bobbi Kristina. “He was known to choke her, definitely,” Reid explained. “Throw her into walls. Punch her in the jaw. Just, like, unbelievable stuff.” She added, “She would FaceTime me whenever she was distraught. When something had just happened or show me a bruise.” 9. How Did Bobbi Kristina Die? Source: Jason LaVeris / Getty On January 31, 2015 Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her Georgia home by her boyfriend,  Nick Gordon ,  face down in their bathtub. It is believed she was without oxygen for quite some time.  Sources say Bobbi was revived and rushed to North Fulton Hospital where she was stabilized, but was able to breathe only with the help of a ventilator with very little brain activity. But things took a turn for the worse when Bobbi was placed in a medically-induced coma. Her condition was described as “significantly diminished,” and tragically, only worsened from there. In April, Cissy Houston told the press that her granddaughter had “ global and irreversible brain damage .” On June 24, 2015 Pat Houston said the family would be moving her to hospice care. “Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate,” Houston said in a statement to the press. “As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God’s hands now.” A source close to the family later said that she had also been taken off her meds and the family was told she would pass at any moment. Bobbi Kristina’s eerie and untimely death came months after the third anniversary of Whitney’s death on Feb. 11, 2012 (which was ruled an accidental drowning). Source: Peopleimages / Getty A Banana Republic manager has been accused of threatening to cut a Black employee’s hours for wearing box braids to work, calling her popular hairstyle “urban and unkempt.” According to a recent Facebook post, Destiny Tompkins laid out the whole incident, explaining that her manager at the Westchester, New York branch pulled her aside to warn her about her hair after the company’s District Manager complained about it. Both mangers are white. READ ALSO:  Appeals Court: Employees Don’t Have A Right To Wear Dreadlocks “I came in and he questioned me about the dress code and immediately, I thought there was something wrong with my outfit but he sat me down and questioned my hair instead,” the college sophomore wrote on social media. “He told me that my braids were not Banana Republic appropriate and that they were too “urban” and “unkempt” for their image. He said that if I didn’t take them out then he couldn’t schedule me for shifts until I did.” Tompkins, who has only been working at the clothing store for a month, added: “I have never been so humiliated and degraded in my life by a white person.” She also tried to explain to her boss about protective styling, but it seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. “Box braids are not a matter of unprofessionalism, they are protective styles black women have used for their hair and to be discriminated against because of it is truly disgusting and unacceptable,” she wrote. “There’s no reason why a white person should feel allowed to tell me that I can’t wear my hair the way that I want bc it’s too black for their store image. #boycottbanana Banana Republic.” READ ALSO:  Meet The Woman Suing Her Job For Firing Her Over Menstrual Leaks A spokesperson from Banana Republic stated that “as a company, we have zero tolerance for discrimination. We are committed to upholding an inclusive environment where our customers and our employees feel respected.” As the New York Daily News  points out, despite the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission considering  treating someone differently based on hair texture race  discrimination, many judges have not ruled in favor of plaintiffs suing employers for that kind of discrimination. Just last year we reported that an appeals court ruled that banning employees from wearing their hair in dreadlocks is not a form of racial discrimination. The lawsuit was brought to the court of appeals by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which charged that an Alabama insurance claims processing company had discriminated against Chastity Jones in 2010. They offered her employment [but stated] that she needed to get rid of her dreadlocks because of their grooming standards. When Jones refused, the company withdrew its offer of employment. Why can’t the world just let Black women and our hair be great? Ohio Teacher Fired After Racist Remarks To Student On Being President Remember this guy??? According to Cincinnati Enquirer: The Fairfield teacher accused of slurring an African -American student lost his job Thursday in the wake of a labor hearing that concluded with that recommendation. Freshman science teacher Gil Voigt has been on unpaid leave since December. After the Fairfield Board of Education received a state referee’s decision that “there is good and just cause to terminate the teaching contract,” the board voted 4-0 Thursday evening, with one board member absent, to end his employment with the Butler County school system. Voigt has declined to comment but told The Enquirer on Friday he plans to appeal the referee’s ruling with the Butler County Court of Appeals. Fairfield Superintendent Paul Otten also recommended the board discontinue the veteran teacher’s employment contract. “The district felt that the evidence was sufficient to support the termination of Mr. Voigt’s employment. The referee recommended such termination, and the board has concurred,” said Otten in a statement released Thursday evening. Voigt is alleged to have told an African-American student at Fairfield Freshman School, who had professed his desire to follow Barack Obama as president, that “we do not need another black president.” Voigt has previously said he was misquoted by the student, whom he described as troublesome. His suspension has drawn national attention and the condemnation of officials in the Butler County school system as well as area NAACP officials. He later told Fairfield officials that what he said to the teen was, “I think we can’t afford another president like Obama, whether he’s black or white.” Voigt now has the option of appealing the referee’s decision to Butler County Common Pleas Court within 30 days. Teresa Giudice Faces New Fraud Charges

Make that 41 fraud charges for Teresa Giudice. With The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her husband already facing up to 30 years in prison as the result of allegations over forged bankruptcy documents, U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman now says two new counts have been tacked on. They result from a $361,250 mortgage that Teresa took out in 2005. “In the course of obtaining the loan, she and Giuseppe Giudice prepared a loan application which falsely stated that Teresa Giudice was employed as a realtor and that she had a monthly salary of $15,000,” Fishman said. “Teresa Giudice was not employed outside the home at the time.” Teresa and Joe will answer this latest charge in a Newark court Wednesday. They pleaded not guilty in August to the 39 other charges. The federal indictment accuses the Giudices of exaggerating their income by faking her employment history while applying for various loans. The couple supposedly failed to disclose rental and business income after filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2009. They are free on $500,000 bond, but has to give up their passports and will face a trial some time in 2014. If convicted, the Giudices face up to three decades years in jail and a $1 million fine.

Paula Deen Fires Legal Team, Hires "Scandal" Inspiration

The drama around Paula Deen continues today as reports say she has fired her legal team, led by the firm of Oliver Maner. Deen also fired her agent last week. Maner was defending her against a civil lawsuit filed by Lisa Jackson , a former manager of Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House that Deen co-owns. A source close to Deen says “she and her team decided the previous attorneys were out of their depth,” so she hired a replacement, Grace Speights. The Washington, D.C.-based partner in Morgan Lewis’s Labor and Employment practice brings “one of the top labor firms in the country,” says the source. Her new legal team also consists of Patricia Glaser, whom The Hollywood Reporter calls one of America’s top entertainment power lawyers this year. Deen is continuing to work with the PR firm The Rose Group and has also hired Judy Smith, the inspiration for the main character, Olivia Pope, on Scandal . In all, she hopes to rebound from her dramatic downfall, in which she lost a multitude of business deals, following her admission to using racial slurs . Deen made that revelation during a legal deposition in connection with Lisa Jackson’s civil suit, which she denies the basis for and wants thrown out.
