Bill O’Reilly Calls Out Donald Trump for Obama Birth Certificate Claims

It’s come to this: Bill O’Reilly is the voice of reason. On that host’s Fox News talk show last night, the journalist called out Donald Trump for pushing the absurd notion that Barack Obama was born outside the United States. Referring to multiple announcements in Honolulu papers that documented Obama’s birth, O’Reilly quipped to his guest: “What is he, the Baby Jesus? There was a sophisticated conspiracy to smuggle this baby back into the country?” O’Reilly went on to doubt that Trump could possibly believe such nonsense, challenging the supposed Presidential candidate for just trying to be “provocative” and remain in the news. Following Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, around the same time a few of his followers were littering Esperanza Spalding’s Wikipedia page with threats and insults , Bieber sat down for an interview with the Best New Artist winner. He said he was happy for Spalding, as the pair bonded over each other’s hair, relationship with their mothers and overall Grammy experience. A particularly exciting exchange went down at a Golden Globes afterparty hosted by the Weinsteins, where MTV News looked on as A-list actors Bruce Willis and Ryan Gosling met for the first time. We were lucky enough to chat with Gosling moments after the big introduction so, of course, we had to ask what he and Willis had discussed, whether the seasoned action star imparted any wisdom to Gosling and so forth. “I can’t talk about it,” Gosling quipped. Sensing that the “Blue Valentine” star was holding back but secretly wanted to share some exciting tidbit with us, we pressed further, asking whether he was able to secure a part in “Die Hard 5” during their brief conversation. “No comment,” Gosling responded with a smile. Fair enough. We ceased our probing and instead asked Gosling if it was in fact the first time he’d ever met the veteran actor. “[That was the] first time I ever met Bruce Willis,” Gosling confirmed. “I know, it’s nice. I haven’t had time to process it because I’m trying to talk about him. I don’t know how I feel about it.” In spite of making introductions with numerous photographers and TV crews present, Gosling said he thought the exchange, though short, went well. “I do feel good [about it],” he said. “I wanted it to be more private. Olivia Munn Maxim Cover Labeled Disgusting, Pornographic

In a break from its typical cover shots, Maxim has placed a gorgeous woman at the center of its latest issue, one wearing very little clothing. The beauty in question is actress Olivia Munn, who stars on the new NBC sitcom Perfect Couples . She poses for the publication in a cleavage-baring top and skimpy underwear that pretty much resembles every other cover the magazine has ever ran. But try telling that to Dan Gainor, the vice president of Business and Culture at the Media Research Center. He says of this image: “It’s disgusting. Maxim has moved their magazine from tawdry to full-on pornography.” Hmmm… let’s hope Gainor never looks at these photos of Munn . What do you think of this Maxim cover? Does it cross a line?

Camille Grammer has taken her feud with Kesley Grammer to an especially immature, hilarious level. Appearing on The Howard Stern Show today, the reality star implied that her soon-to-be-ex-husband likes to wear women’s clothing. Speaking on Kesley’s role in the Broadway play La Cage aux Folles , Camille said the father of her children enjoyed that gig for “another reason.” Because he’s gay? No, Grammer said. Because he likes to dress up like a woman, Stern asked? “I’m not saying it,” replied Camille, who may be exiting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . Engel Falsely Accuses Fleischer Of Alleging Osama-Iraq Ties

NBC’s Richard Engel has done some good reporting from Iraq.  But scratch the reporter’s surface, and you find a political partisan eager to echo the anti-Bush party line.   Witness his exchange with Ari Fleischer on Morning Joe today.  Engel twisted the former Bush press secretary’s words, accusing him of alleging an Osama Bin Laden connection with Iraq.  Fleischer had palpably said no such thing. The springboard was Fleischer’s citation of a 1998 OBL interview in which the terrorist boss said America was weak because it is unable to see through long wars.  Fleischer went on to argue that America’s resolve will be tested should things go badly wrong in Iraq or Afghanistan, thus putting under pressure the arbitrary dates that have been set for US withdrawal from those countries. Engel jumped in to claim that Fleischer was claiming an OBL tie with Iraq.  Even after Fleischer made explicitly clear he was alleging no such connection, Engel obdurately pressed his point. I’ll be back with a transcript, but in the meantime, view the video and observe as Engel does his best Olbermann-Maddow impression.

On Farts and Nudity: Eclipse Stars Talk Tent Scene

It’s the most famous scene in Eclipse , perhaps even in the entire Twilight Saga: Bella, Edward and Jacob all end up in a single tent, as the former snuggles up to the latter and… … we don’t wanna ruin it for anyone that hasn’t read the book. But Robert Pattinson , Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart sat down with the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly and discussed putting these words on screen. Shooting the scene took two days, Lautner said, referring to it as “my favorite, because it’s the first time Edward and Jacob are actually able to connect and understand each other.” Pattinson describes the final outcome as “erotic,” with Stewart explaining why: “In the book there’s a serious sexual tension. As I’m sleeping, Jacob is staring over my vulnerable body, and he’s naked in this f- - -ing sleeping bag because you heat up faster that way, and Jacob and Edward are leveling with each other. From there, the pair exhibited the kind of chemistry that has helped make the Twilight Saga so huge – and, let’s face it, has made Rob and Kristen a couple, even if they won’t admit it. This is the exchange that concluded this excerpt from the interview: Pattinson : I can’t really get over the fact that the word thought sounds like fart . Stewart : The word thought does not sound like fart. Pattinson : It does. Stewart : Maybe because you are an English person. Pattinson : The opening line of that scene is “Can you at least keep your farts to yourself?” I couldn’t quite get over that. Sigh . We just love this pair, don’t you?
