We all got our name from a woman and our game from a woman. But for some reason, we wait for commemorated days like Mother’s Day to honor the special ladies in our lives. Women’s History Month is one of those observed months when we’re supposed to acknowledge all the ways women are great. Women have always been strong and capable of any and everything — but we weren’t always allowed to show and prove it. We’re afforded a lot of privileges today that even our grandmothers weren’t allowed to do, and that was only 40-50 years ago. From alleged scammy beat downs to terrible Oscar winners to nooses on high fashion. We just wanted to have the end of our month in peace. Vice Media wouldn’t let us have that. They decided to put together a Black movies vs. TV bracket – presumably because they couldn’t think of more than eight black movies or TV shows. It’s all a mess. First, they had Martin vs. Fresh Prince IN THE FIRST ROUND. They even have Love & Basketball in the damn TV side. Spike Lee had himself quite the eventful Sunday night. First, the veteran director won Best Adapted Screenplay at the 2019 Academy Awards for helping to write BlacKKKlansmen. Incredibly, this was Lee’s first-ever Oscars victory and it was most definitely overdue, according to most viewers. But not according to one rather powerful viewer. A few hours after Lee delivered a passionate acceptance speech that touched on American history and slavery, President Donald Trump Tweeted his disapproval of Lee’s words. Let’s take a look at Lee’s full speech before trying to deciper which parts the President took issue with, shall we? Here it is: The word today is “irony.” The date, the 24th. The month, February, which also happens to be the shortest month of the year, which also happens to be Black History month. The year, 2019. The year, 1619. History. Her story. 1619. 2019. 400 years. Four hundred years. Our ancestors were stolen from Mother Africa and bought to Jamestown, Virginia, enslaved. Our ancestors worked the land from can’t see in the morning to can’t see at night. My grandmother, [inaudible], who lived to be 100 years young, who was a Spelman College graduate even though her mother was a slave. My grandmother who saved 50 years of Social Security checks to put her first grandchild — she called me Spikie-poo — she put me through Morehouse College and N.Y.U. grad film. N.Y.U.! Before the world tonight, I give praise to our ancestors who have built this country into what it is today along with the genocide of its native people. We all connect with our ancestors. We will have love and wisdom regained, we will regain our humanity. It will be a powerful moment. The 2020 presidential election is around the corner. Let’s all mobilize. According to multiple witnesses, Lee got out of his seat and walked to the back of the auditorium after Green Book won the evening’s top prize, and he later explained why. “I thought it was courtside at the Garden, and the ref made a bad call. Courtside,” the die-hard New York Knicks fan said, prior to pivoting and joking: “The world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. The movie centers on Dr. Don Shirley (Oscar winner Mahershala Ali), a world-class African-American pianist who embarks on a concert tour of the Deep South in 1962 along with his driver and bodyguard, Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen). The film was co-written by a member of Lip’s family and has come under fire for essentially white-washing history. Dr. Shirley’s brother, Maurice, has called the flick a “symphony of lies.” Moreover, Mortensen used the N-Word while doing press for Green Book and director Pete Farrelly apologized for having exposed himself years ago while on the set of his 1998 romantic comedy There’s Something About Mary.

According to Adrienne Bailon , there has to be something wrong with Tristan for his history of alleged serial cheating. She also shared that she spoke to a source who confirmed that the rumor’s 100% true. Mind you Adrienne previously dated Rob Kardashian, so maybe he’s her “source.” “I just have a hard time understanding this. I think the blame should be placed on both parties but I think Tristan has a problem. […] I spoke to somebody who confirmed to me that it’s absolutely true.” We’d have to agree with Loni here, there’s nothing “wrong” with Tristan other than the fact that he has “money and wants b***s.”

We really should not be surprised. We really should have seen this coming. What else did we expect from someone who’s been so open about their behavior and attitude? We speak, of course, about the strong rumor that Tristan Thompson has once again cheated on Khloe Kardashian, this time prompting the reality star to end their relationship. However, we do NOT speak about Tristan Thompson. Yes, naturally we expected him to step out once more on Khloe because he did it so carelessly and so frequently back in 2017 — and he did it while she was pregnant. What, we were supposed to think he’d somehow learned from his mistake despite the fact that he didn’t really suffer any repercussions the first time around? Still, though, our focus for the purposes of this update is on the woman with whom the power forward allegedly played tonsil hockey: Jordyn Woods. And we return to what we wrote about when it comes to Ms. Woods: We should have known she would do something like this. Granted, Woods is famous solely because she is best friends with Kylie Jenner . That’s what makes this scandal so shocking and so hurtful. But one look at Jordyn’s Twitter page makes it apparent that she may have just been using Kylie this whole time for fame and fortune; heck, she may have been using Kylie this whole time just to get close to Tristan. Consider what she wrote on February 17, the same day she reportedly spent all night at Tristan’s home, very likely getting boxed out by the rebounding force, if you know what we mean: I could love you and still cut you [the f-ck] off. There you have it, right? Woods is openly telling the social media world that she would not hesitate to screw over even those very close to her — which is exactly what she’s appeared to have done here. According to a report by The Hollywood Unlocked, and later confirmed by other better-known celebrity gossip outlets, Thompson hosted a gathering at his house this past weekend. Woods was on the exclusive guest list and witnesses say she made out with Tristan at various points during the evening. They also say she didn’t leave until 7 a.m. Shortly after the report went public, Tristan Tweeted that it was “FAKE NEWS,” prior to deleting this very lame defense. One of Khloe’s best pals, Malika Haqq, wrote on Instagram that the report actually contained “STRONG FACTS,” while Larsa Pippen echoed this sentiment with an “Amen.” Thompson previously made headlines in April of 2018 after he was caught cheating on Kardashian with numerous women days before she gave birth to their daughter. Actual surveillance footage from months prior revealed Tristan cozying up to females in Washington D.C. and New York. That won’t be happening this time, not after Thompson broke his vow to keep his penis in one place and not after he got it on with Jordyn Woods of all people. Just days ago, Khloe wrote “Baby girl” as a sweet response to selfies Woods posted on Instagram. Jordyn had also posed a model for Khloe’s Good American clothing band; the two were totally tight, you guys. But not as tight as Jordyn was to Kylie. When you consider their history, it’s almost as if Kylie’s own wife cheated on her with her own brother-in-law. In 2017, on an episode of Life of Kylie , Woods and Jenner took part in a “committment ceremony,” which was very dumb but also very interesting, considering what has transpired since. “I vow to always be there for you, through thick and thin. In this life and after,” Woods said, in front of friends and family. Said Kylie in return: “I promise to encourage you, inspire you, love you, through all the good and bad times.” “I actually feel like I’m in a full relationship with Kylie,” Woods later said, adding: “There are different types of relationships – we’re definitely in one. Not necessarily sexual, but definitely emotional. It’s draining sometimes.” Especially now, yes. Let’s just hope Khloe takes her own advice. Let’s hope she really did mean what she wrote on Instagram back on January 23: There will be some things you won’t get over. Some things that will sting you so hard they will set you back to where you started. And you will hurt and hurt and hurt, but you will also rise from it. You will learn from the past. You will adapt and survive no matter how hard it gets. You will shape your own reality and accept how you should never settle for anything less than you deserve. And let’s hope she never talks to Thompson ever again.
