Rumors that Kate Middleton is pregnant with her fourth child have been circulating pretty much since the time the duchess gave birth to her third child. But so far, all of them have proven to be inaccurate. Whether they were based on questionable tips or simply the inventions of bored British tabloid columnists, none of the predictions have panned out yet. But this time might be different. This time, the “insider” reports come on the heels of Kate’s public admission that she’d very much like to have another kid. Yes, during a public appearance in Northern Ireland last month, Kate confessed to feeling “broody.” On this side of the pond, that word conjures images of a depressed Hot Topic aficionado, but in the UK it refers to the desire for a larger brood. So we’re a bit more inclined to believe the latest round of Kate pregnancy rumors. According to a new report from the print edition of In Touch Weekly, Kate already knew she was knocked up when she made the comment. “Kate is about three months pregnant,” an insider tells the tabloid. The source claims that Will and Kate made the conscious decision to get pregnant, but they thought the process would take longer. “William was hesitant about trying for another baby — he thinks it’s hard enough looking after three kids who are five years and under,” says the insider. “They just didn’t expect to get pregnant so quickly!” The source says Kate is holding off on making an announcement until after Meghan Markle welcomes her first child. “She’s concerned that Meghan will feel like she’s stealing her baby thunder,” says the source. “There’s already enough competition between the two couples, and Kate doesn’t want to stir the pot even more.” And it seems Kate has her heart set on bringing another little princess into the world. “She’s always wanted two boys and two girls,” the insider claims. “Kate and William are both close in age to their siblings, and they want the same family dynamics for their own brood” “She’s been hinting that she thinks it’s a girl because she’s suffering from similar cravings to Charlotte — curry and pizza. “The most important thing is that the baby is healthy,” says the informant. “They’re both just so excited.” And if these reports are accurate, we’re sure the rest of the world will soon be joining in their excitement, too. Following his arrest last summer, Ryan Edwards checked into a rehab facility for a stint of 90 days. The time away cost the former Teen Mom star significantly, considering he missed the birth of his second son. But it was for a worthwhile cause, right? If it meant the ex-MTV personality would get clean and sober and be there for his family for the rest of his life? If it had worked out that way, yes. Absolutely. But a source now tells Radar Online that Edwards relapsed almost as soon as he left the aforementioned facility, a claim that does jibe with what we heard in early December: That Edwards was spotted out and about , drinking heavily. “He was good for about a week [and] then went back to hanging out with the same people that do drugs and go out in all the bars,” an insider alleges to this website, adding: “He wasn’t any better since he got out of rehab.” Earlier this month, Edwards was arrested on charges of theft and heroin possession . It marked the third time he’s been taken into custody due to drug use or ownership. According to the police report, Ryan skipped out on a bar tab of $36 after consuming six drinks, only to be tracked down by local authorities in Tennessee. He was placed behind bars and will now be stuck in county jail until April . Radar writes that Edwards “fell right back” into alcohol use once he was free from rehab last fall,” explaining: “The sad thing about our town is that you can go to rehab, but those same people are still here doing the same stuff.” It can be difficult to move on from your past when surrounded by reminders of it, this is so very true. Ryan’s wife, Mackenzie, has shared multiple photos (above and below, for example) of Edwards and their new son, Jagger, on Instagram, trying to pretend as if everything went back to normal as soon as he returned home. But it’s clear now this was a facade. Does this mean Mackenzie will leave Ryan at last? Is the marriage in jeopardy? Has she come to her senses? No, no and no, sources say. “She’s going to get over it,” this informant says. “She doesn’t care at this point. She’s all in with him.” That’s pretty sad, huh? Mackenzie may think she’s doing what’s best for her child, but is forgiving Ryan every time he messes up really what’s best for the family? Sad news from our favorite crew of tanning bed enthusiasts today. As you may have heard, Jersey Shore star Jenni Farley has separated from Roger Mathews after three years of marriage. The split is particularly heartbreaking, as Mathews has made it clear that he has no intention of giving up on the relationship. In a series of videos and social media posts, Mathews has pleaded with Farley to take him back . Alas, the famously hard-hearted JWoww seems to have no interest in a reconciliation. Sources close to the mother of two claim Farley has stated unequivocally that she’ll never get back together with Mathews . So fans were more than a little confused when Jenni posted pics of a Halloween photoshoot in which she posed alongside Roger and the couple’s two children. In fact, in the comments section of Farley’s Instagram post, many of her followers congratulated her on reconciling with Mathews: “JWoww is over Roger and as far as she is concerned, they aren’t getting back together,” a source close to the situation tells Hollywood Life. “Jenni arranged a Halloween family photo shoot for daughter Meilani over the weekend because she’s obsessed with Disney and Moana, but that’s the only reason she did it.” The insider says Jenni and Roger are both committed to ensuring that the split is as painless as possible for their children. And so they’ll continue to participate in family functions together, but Farley has apparently made up her mind and plans to proceed with a divorce. “She’ll continue to put together family functions and it gives Roger hope, but there’s really no chance she will get back together with him,” the source adds. “It’s really important to Jenni to keep the kids lives as normal as possible,” the informant continues. “She and Roger are completely amicable and there’s no bad blood whatsoever, but for Jenni, they’ve grown apart. Roger wants her back, but it’s not going to happen. “They both love and respect one another, but Jenni feels they’ve kind of grown apart. Everything she’s doing right now is strictly for the kids and what’s in their best interest.” Both parties have confirmed that there was no infidelity or abusive behavior in their marriage, and Jenni’s decision to end the relationship was simply a result of a slow deterioration of affection. According to a site called Hip-Hop Overload , a reliable source employed at the jail says Williams was sexually assaulted in a jail shower and friends of Kodak Black are behind it (no pun intended). Here’s the quoted story from their site. Per someone we know that works in the Dade county jail system, XXXTentacion’s murderer Dedrick Williams was assaulted in Broward County jail. Word we got from our informant is that he was told Dedrick was getting a shower when he was ambushed with an attempted rape, which in jail is the ultimate sign of disrespect. We are told that Kodak Black people may have had something to do with it. This makes total sense because XXXTentacion and Kodak Black are extremely tight friends like brothers. One has to think if the assault was calculated to happen the day of XXXTentacion’s memorial which was held at the BB&T Center in Broward County today. We are currently trying to get pictures of the assault once we do we will be sure to share them all. As you see we are told Dedrick was beaten down pretty bad. They use the word “attempted” but the texts from the source say “rape”. Previously, we showed you footage of who people assume is Dedrick confessing and mocking XXXTentacion’s final moments. This is him in during his first court appearance. Hey, everybody wanna be a murderer. But, they don’t think about what happens later when your azz gets caught.
It’s been two months since Tristan Thompson was caught cheating on Khloe Kardashian , but remarkably, he has yet to be kicked to the curb. Yes, by all accounts, Tristan and Khloe have really committed themselves to making this relationship work — or at least Khloe has, anyway. According to a new report from Radar Online, Tristan hasn’t learned his lesson about sleeping around behind Khloe’s back. And it seems there’s one mistress in particular that Thompson just can’t get off his mind. Tristan allegedly hooked up with Lani Blair while he was in D.C. with the Cleveland Cavs. We know that Thompson has been in contact with Blair recently, but we assumed he was smart enough to at least keep the relationship platonic. Turns out, we were wrong. “Tristan’s so sneaky,” says one insider . “He wants Khloe to have a break from motherhood and go back to LA for a week or two to be with her family. He’s telling her she deserves some girl time with her sisters, cocktails in the sun and the warm LA weather.” First of all — warm LA weather?! C’mon, source! Last we checked, it’s June everywhere, and Lake Erie isn’t north of the Wall! Anyway, what really matters here is not the insider’s knowledge of meteorology, but their claims about Tristan’s ulterior motives: “The truth is, Tristan wants some time away from Khloe so he can be with Lani,” the informant says. “He told Khloe he’ll take care of all her expenses and take care of baby True in Cleveland and wants to put Khloe on the next private jet to L.A.” Yes, apparently Tristan still has “serious feelings” for Blair, and he just doesn’t know how to quit his stripper side-piece. “He misses those fun times and Lani makes him feels so good. Wow… So he’s a snitch who takes bribes!? If we didn’t already think Al Sharpton was shady enough, the NY Post dropped a detailed report over the weekend that explains how he gets money for NOT throwing cororations under the bust for racism: For more than a decade, corporations have shelled out thousands of dollars in donations and consulting fees to Sharpton’s National Action Network. What they get in return is the reverend’s supposed sway in the black community or, more often, his silence. Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal met with the activist preacher after leaked emails showed her making racially charged comments about President Obama. Pascal was under siege after a suspected North Korean cyberattack pressured the studio to cancel its release of “The Interview,” which depicts the assassination of dictator Kim Jong-un. No payments to NAN have been announced, but Sharpton and Pascal agreed to form a “working group” to focus on racial bias in Hollywood. Sharpton notably did not publicly assert his support for Pascal after the meeting — what observers say seems like a typical Sharpton “shakedown” in the making. Pay him in cash or power, critics say, and you buy his support or silence. “Al Sharpton has enriched himself and NAN for years by threatening companies with bad publicity if they didn’t come to terms with him. Put simply, Sharpton specializes in shakedowns,” said Ken Boehm, chairman of the National Legal & Policy Center, a Virginia-based watchdog group that has produced a book on Sharpton. And Sharpton, who now boasts a close relationship with Obama and Mayor Bill de Blasio, is in a stronger negotiating position than ever. “Once Sharpton’s on board, he plays the race card all the way through,” said a source who has worked with the Harlem preacher. “He just keeps asking for more and more money.” We figured he was up to something but this just seems so greedy and unjust. We just hope some of that fortune being funneled into Nationa Action Network actually goes toward helping the companies that need and want them. Here’s more details: Sharpton raised $1 million for NAN at his 60th birthday bash in October, with donations rolling in from unions and a corporate roster of contributors including AT&T, McDonald’s, Verizon and Walmart. Companies have long gotten in line to pay Sharpton. Macy’s and Pfizer have forked over thousands to NAN, as have General Motors, American Honda and Chrysler. NAN had repeatedly and without success asked GM for donations for six years beginning in August 2000, a GM spokesman told The Post. Then, in 2006, Sharpton threatened a boycott of GM over the planned closing of an African-American-owned dealership in The Bronx. He picketed outside GM’s Fifth Avenue headquarters. GM wrote checks to NAN for $5,000 in 2007 and another $5,000 in 2008. Sharpton targeted American Honda in 2003 for not hiring enough African-Americans in management positions. “We support those that support us,” Sharpton wrote to the company. “We cannot be silent while African-Americans spend hard-earned dollars with a company that does not hire, promote or do business with us in a statistically significant manner.” Two months later, car company leaders met with Sharpton, and Honda began to sponsor NAN’s events. The protests stopped. Sharpton landed a gig as a $25,000-a-year adviser to Pepsi after he threatened a consumer boycott of the soda company in 1998, saying its ads did not portray African-Americans. What begins as a barbed satire of our pill-popping, self-medicating society morphs into something intriguingly different in Side Effects . Steven Soderbergh’s elegantly coiled puzzler spins a tale of clinical depression and psychiatric malpractice into an absorbing, cunningly unpredictable entertainment that, like much of his recent work, closely observes how a particular subset of American society operates in a needy, greedy, paranoid and duplicitous age. Discriminating arthouse audiences not turned off by the antidepressant-heavy subject matter should be held shrink-rapt by what Soderbergh, after years of flirting with retirement, has said will be his last picture “for a long time.” Establishing a mood of grim foreboding with a brief glimpse of a blood-spattered domestic scene, the film rewinds three months to the incident that sets things in motion. Emily Taylor ( Rooney Mara ), a New Yorker in her mid-20s, awaits the prison release of her husband, Martin ( Channing Tatum ), a former business exec who has just finished serving four years for his involvement in an insider-trading scheme. But the couple’s happy reunion is complicated not only by Martin’s period of readjustment and unemployment, but also by Emily’s ongoing struggles with anxiety and depression. The story is thus immediately rooted in an easily recognizable and, for some, relatable world of financial difficulty and pharmaceutical overreliance. After Emily’s condition declines to the point of attempting self-harm, she sees a psychiatrist, Dr. Jonathan Banks ( Jude Law) , who puts her on a try-this-try-that regimen of drugs that include Prozac, Zoloft and Ablixa. The names of these antidepressants and their assorted side effects are rattled off with cheeky proficiency in the well-researched script by Scott Z. Burns (“Contagion,” “The Informant!”), and soon Emily starts to manifest the byproducts of so much medication, including nausea, a heightened libido and a disturbing habit of sleepwalking. Soderbergh’s sinuous HD camerawork (done under his usual pseudonym, Peter Andrews) maintains an unnervingly intimate focus on Emily in these early passages, dominated by breakdowns and consulting sessions. Yet even in intense closeups that enable Mara to vividly register Emily’s panic, fear and vaguely suicidal impulses, the direction has a certain cool-toned detachment that keeps the film from becoming a wholly subjective portrait of mental instability. That distanced quality persists even when Emily’s behavior, under the influence of Ablixa, takes a shocking turn for the worst. At this point, the dramatic perspective shifts to Banks, who suddenly finds himself professionally compromised as a provocative question comes to the fore: If a patient is not responsible for actions taken under the influence of a powerful drug, does the liability shift to the doctor who prescribed it? But as Banks launches himself into an increasingly obsessive quest to clear his name, leading him into private conversations with Emily’s former therapist, Dr. Victoria Siebel ( Catherine Zeta-Jones ), the peculiar feeling persists that not everything about the case may be what it seems. The very title of Side Effects — a suggestion of unintended, undesired consequences that distract from the matter at hand — provides a clue as to the level of narrative misdirection Soderbergh and Burns are up to. Suffice to say that what the film is actually about, and the specific social malaise being diagnosed, suddenly seem to shift beneath the characters’ feet, as the story turns its attention from chemical dependencies and shaky medical ethics to the dark recesses of the human mind. The rapid-fire twists, reversals and flashbacks that crowd the third act may strain plausibility to the breaking point, but by the end, viewers are likely to feel as though they’ve been craftily but not unfairly manipulated. The casting of Soderbergh alums Law, Zeta-Jones and Tatum lends the picture a somewhat valedictory feel, and if Side Effects is indeed the final chapter of at least one phase of the director’s career, it gets the job done in modest but assured fashion. Thematically, this efficient genre piece feels entirely of a piece with Soderbergh’s prior work; no less than Magic Mike and The Girlfriend Experience , it’s keenly invested in the material question of how individuals operate in an economy that leaves them with fewer and fewer honest options. The film’s careful attention to the details of its psychiatric milieu compels fascination above and beyond the characters, and indeed, Soderbergh’s typical disinterest in conventional audience identification has rarely been more pronounced. Mara’s chilly yet vulnerable quality, exploited so effectively in her films with David Fincher, keeps the viewer at a sympathetic distance; Law makes Banks seem weaselly and pompous even when he assumes the role of protagonist; and Zeta-Jones, as usual, plays her part with a slyly seductive allure. Of all the actors, Ann Dowd ( Compliance ) rings the sole notes of earnest emotion in a small role as Emily’s mother-in-law. Editing is sharp and precise, and Thomas Newman’s churning score amps up the story’s intensity. Expertly chosen locations and Howard Cummings’ production design create an offhandedly diverse snapshot of New York, ranging from a high-security mental institution to a table at Le Cirque where Dr. Banks and his colleagues talk shop. Matt Damon says Michael Douglas is a “wonderful” kisser. He also tells Playboy magazine that he and the veteran actor strategized their onscreen make-out sessions for Steven Soderbergh’ s Liberace movie for HBO, Behind The Candelabra , “like a football plan,” which scarily brings to mind John Madden and Al Michaels cavorting in Speedos while diagramming a play-action pass. The Promised Land actor tells interviewer Stephen Rebello that he usually says no to nude scenes, “but I just did a lot of it playing the long-term partner of Liberace, Scott Thorson in Behind the Candelabra .” He took the plunge, he explains, because Soderbergh, who directed Damon on the Oceans films and The Informant! was behind the camera and the scenes in question were “tastefully done.” And, really, who could resist being held firmly in the masculine arms of the silver-maned actor who played Gordon Gekko ? Damon, who plays the much younger lover of the flamboyant piano showman — the Norman Jean Roy photograph above, which appeared in Vanity Fair, shows them in character — says the movie will make some people uncomfortable because “you’re witnessing something really intimate you would normally see with a man and a woman, but instead it’s two men”. He, on the other hand, found the dynamic “thrilling” even though some of the more intimate scenes weren’t “the most natural thing in the world to do, though. Like, for one scene, I had to come out of a pool, go over to Michael, straddle him on a chaise longue and start kissing him. And throughout the script, it’s not like I kiss him just once. We drew it up like a football plan.” At least he didn’t make a pitcher/catcher reference. Damon goes on to say that he once asked the late Heath Ledger how he managed the scene with Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Mountain where to two men hungrily suck face. Ledger’s response: “Well, mate, I drank half a case of beer in my trailer.” Damon add that when he laughed at that response, Ledger told him: “No, I’m serious. I needed to just go for it. If you can’t do that, you’re not making the movie.” The conversation leads Rebello to ask Damon what it was like “when you and Ben Affleck were constantly asked if you were gay, back when you were starting your careers” “I never denied those rumors because I was offended and didn’t want to offend my friends who were gay—as if being gay were some kind of fucking disease,” Damon responds. “It put me in a weird position in that sense. Rihanna And Karrueche Are Rumored To Be Competing To Chris Brown’s Baby Via Star (print version) He’s abusive and unfaithful, but apparently he’s also irresistible! In the latest sad development in the Chris Brown/Rihanna/Karrueche Tran love triangle, Star leasrns that the two women are still competing for the “Turn Up the Music” singer, 23, and are now using their wombs as leverage. “Both Rihanna and Karrueche are trying to get pregnant because they think it’s the only way to make Chris commit to one of them for good,” a source tells Star, adding that the ladies believe “the woman who has his baby will be calling the shots.” But why fight over a guy like Chris? For Karrueche, 24, it’s plain old desperation: “Karrueche has no carreer and no money, and she is desperate to hand on to Chris,” says the source. “Without him, she’s a broke nobody. The recent – and somewhat surprising – beef between Brooklyn rap diva Foxy Brown and radio vet Tom Joyner may go deeper than what fans have seen so far. According to our source, as Foxy herself stated via Twitter , the very notion that Tom Joyner’s staff had to kick the rapper off of his Fantastic Voyage cruise is a fabrication. “Foxy was never contracted to be on the ship for the duration of the cruise,” the source tells BOSSIP. “She was scheduled to leave the cruise on Friday morning, having performed on Thursday night.” The source reveals that what lies behind Tom Joyner’s allegations that Foxy became too difficult to deal with is what the rapper saw as she made her way back to her cabin around 4am Friday morning. Foxy allegedly spotted Joyner in the hallway, embroiled in a very private conversation with a man who looked “suspect,” shall we say. Foxy, who had some remaining tension with Tom from their recent interview, made her presence known by bursting into laughter. Foxy left the ship at 7am, and that afternoon, Tom was on air saying that the the known drama queen had to be put off the ship. But as our informant points out, Joyner has yet to reveal exactly how Foxy was “acting a fool”? Was this a preemptive strike on Tom’s part to discredit anything Foxy might have to say?
