Is A ‘Game of Thrones’ Romance In The Air?

‘I’d hope for them to live happily ever after, but it’s ‘Game of Thrones,’ right?’ Richard Madden says of Robb Stark’s romantic interest, Talisa. By Kara Warner Richard Madden in “Game of Thrones” Photo: HBO Another week, another gripping, wholly enjoyable episode of HBO’s hit “Game of Thrones.” Forgetting for a moment the frustrating continued existence of one Joffrey Baratheon and all the rather gruesome scenes in Sunday’s episode entitled “Garden of Bones,” let’s take a moment to appreciate one easy-to-watch scene: the meet-cute between would-be King Robb Stark and feisty nurse Talisa (Oona Chaplin). In the midst of all the blood, battles and complicated politics, might there be room for a real romance between two characters? MTV News was lucky enough to sit down with Robb Stark himself, Richard Madden, to get the scoop on this intriguing new story line. “Robb’s in a place where it’s the first time he’s met a woman, it’s the first time he’s had his head turned. It’s the first time he’s been in this position as this boy-King and the first time someone doesn’t bow down to him, doesn’t treat him like a King, doesn’t cater to all that,” Madden explained of his character’s interest in Talisa. “She asks him real questions, she challenges everything and makes him ask questions of himself, he’s kind of blown away by that, this kind of light in the darkness. He’s surrounded by all these men and by all this violence and hate and blood, and he’s got this woman there who kind of looks him in the eye and talks to him in a way he’s not used to and he can’t help but be intrigued by that. I think in the beginning he doesn’t even know his head’s been turned until we’re right into it.” So now we know there will at least be major head-turning, but no telling how long that will last in the twisted and dangerous world of “Thrones.” When asked for his thoughts on Robb and Talisa’s future as a couple, the Scot wasn’t at liberty to divulge gritty details, but did mention a hope for happily ever after, however unlikely that may be. “I’d hope for them to live happily ever after, but it’s ‘Game of Thrones,’ right? That doesn’t really happen often with anyone,” Madden said with a smile. “We’re going to see a lot of changes with Robb’s character this year and this woman is the first big influence that takes him away from following his head, usually his heart and his head are on the same page when it comes to decision-making and this woman takes him in a different direction and influences over the decisions that he makes and sets things on a different course with his mother as well that’s a huge kind of fracture between them,” he continued. “So I’m keen to see how that plays out on screen.” Do you think “Game of Thrones” is going to get romantic? TRAILER: Simon Pegg Is Paranoid in Adorable-Looking Fantastic Fear of Everything

Even laundromats are scary to children’s author-turned-crime novelist Simon Pegg in the intriguing British indie A Fantastic Fear of Everything , which is just about the most promising new trailer I’ve seen all week , and delightful to boot. Enjoy Pegg’s litany of neuroses (and a stop-motion hedgehog!) in this first look at the film, directed by Kula Shaker frontman Crispian Mills. A Fantastic Fear of Flying is written and directed by Mills with music video veteran Chris Hopewell co-directing, and puts Pegg front and center as a paranoid author obsessed with murder — rather, obsessed with a fear of being murdered. The film also stars British veteran actor Paul Freeman as his doctor (Dr. René Belloq himself!) and Amara Karan ( The Darjeeling Limited ) and is slated for release stateside via Indomina, though no U.S. date has been set. Pegg Tweeted the trailer today (hat tip, Film School Rejects ):

During E3, NaviFairy had the chance to interview Jordon Thomas , and among the topics brought up was Dr. Weir, who will join your team in XCOM . Among the intriguing things about Dr. Weir is that 2K Marin is not at all concerned about talking about his sexuality. ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ Will ‘Exceed’ Fans’ Expectations

Director Jon Favreau tells MTV News there’s much more to the movie than the ‘silly’ title may suggest. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jon Favreau Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images When news broke that “Iron Man” director Jon Favreau had wrangled two of the biggest names in the action-movie business — Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig — to star in his intriguing genre mash-up “Cowboys & Aliens,” that and a compelling premise proved to be enough to send scores of fanboys online seeking advanced tickets. But though there’s lots of early buzz from the marquee names associated with “Aliens” (mega-watt producers Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard are also onboard), Favreau recently admitted to MTV News that he felt pressure to deliver something extraordinary for fans. “Of course, with Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg [producing], I’m in real good hands,” Favreau said about overcoming the challenges of establishing just the right tone for the movie. “I learned a tremendous amount from them, and I think when you cast Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig — with ‘Bond’ and ‘Indy,’ those are two franchises that are fun but not silly,” he added about Craig’s 007 and Ford’s “Indiana Jones” series. “And I think that if people take a clue from who I cast in the film as to how it’s going to play, it’s a good indicator,” he explained. Favreau went on to say that there’s far more to the film than what the title suggests. “I think [moviegoers] hear the name ‘Cowboys and Aliens,’ it sounds kind of silly, but it also sounds compelling and interesting,” he said. “So if they give it a chance, they’ll see it’s a fun movie, it’s an exciting movie, and I think it’s going to exceed their expectations.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Cowboys & Aliens.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . Could Leaked Sex Photos Suddenly Make Breaking Dawn More Appealing to Non-Twilight Fans?

Believe it or not, there is still a subset of moviegoers who have no interest in seeing anything Twilight -related. These audience members stayed strong in spite of societal pressure to see sequels New Moon and Eclipse , suffocating media coverage of its stars’ real-life romance and even the intriguing revelation that Pattinson will deliver a baby with his own teeth in a future installment. But can the strongest Twilight hater resist Bill Condon’s Breaking Dawn after seeing the sexy leaked photos of Bella and Edward consummating their illicit relationship, one thrust at a time?

Please ponder this plea from Pleas: A continuing story of corruption in Kentucky – Lexington courts | examiner_preview

I make my return to writing here with some rather intriguing news of criminal harassment by the Lexington Police on several levels. My 'vacation' was not by choice but rather by cyber-attack. After my campaign bringing up implications of murder committed by Lexington Police officers and the coincidental death of an officer on the job during that time I was sent a virus. The virus and a key-logger attack were done to my computer by way of a Facebook invite by a member of the slain officer's family and the key-logger attack came straight from the Lexington Police Department forensics department. More recently, my articles here bringing attention to racism and corruption in the local court system invited more cyber-attacks. I will continue to fight against corruption in government and to bring you all of the information; the truth no matter where that leads. Recently, I received a letter I had requested from Pleas Lucian Kavanaugh describing the police corruption and harassment he has gone through in Lexington. His story is identical to mine and others. The stories just take place with different people in different places but the patterns are the same. Lexington has a fraternity type of police force that has gotten away with too much for too long and now believes it can do as it pleases to anyone it chooses. Please listen to this plea from Pleas Lucian Kavanaugh and do what you can to help him. Feel free to contact me with any information you might have to help his case, my past cases or the murder of Deborah Wardlaw. Confidentiality, as always, is assured. Pleas Lucian Kavanaugh: While it might be beyond my ability to convey a respectable version of my dilemma in this small allotment, I wish to emphasize from the onset that the affects of what has happened to me cannot be understated and that if this account is somewhat beyond the standard length, it is so for the depth of the actions taken against me by a power well beyond my capacity to contend with. As such, I would implore that my circumstance be given attentive and thorough consideration as I am, quite literally, under the most oppressive and sweltering attack at the hands of the Lexington Police Department; an attack which I fear will not end until either I have been unjustly incarcerated, murdered or until such time as responsible parties are held accountable for a most egregious affront to liberty, justice and all things idealized by civilized humanity. Let the facts be submitted to an impartial eye. Please continue reading at the link: Christopher Hignite Lexington Courts Examiner Monkey Films on Current TV added by: Monkey_Films
