Kim Kardashian Sex Tape: Version 2.0 on the Way?

Kim Kardashian recently promised to snap nude selfies for as long as she lives. But what about making nude amateur adult movies? As in: might another Kim Kardashian sex tape be on the way?!? The chances seem remote, considering Kim is already rich and famous and not in need of making a name for herself via this extreme measure again. But The National Enquirer is claiming Kim actually starred in a new sex tape opposite Kanye West WITHOUT BEING AWARE OF IT while the couple vacationed in Cuba earlier this month. According to the rarely-reliable tabloid, it has “exclusively learned of another sex-packed Kim Kardashian home video.” The tabloid explains Kardashian was unknowingly “caught on film” having a “romp with Kanye” in Havana, a dubious assertion that is detailed as follows: “The steamy skin flick takes place in Cuba, where the communist government is known to secretly bug and videotape high-profile visitors in their hotel rooms.” Kim and her sisters were recently in that country to film an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians . So that part is at least true. But were she and West really “caught enjoying their hot Havana nights,” as the newspaper alleges? View Slideshow: Kim Kardashian Nude Selfies: A Birthday Suit Breakdown The Enquirer goes on to get all official, quoting Cuban-American author Humberto Fontova, who says it is “modus operandi” for the island nation’s government to “videotape famous visitors for the purpose of blackmail.” Adds the sketchy publication: “The Cuban regime has the goods on just about every celebrity who has visited the island since Fidel Castro took over in 1959,” adds the publication.” If Cuba is really going to blackmail Kim Kardashian with a sex tape, this will quickly become our favorite story ever. It’s even better the Iranian government believing Kardashian is a secret agent . Sadly, we somehow doubt the veracity of this report, even if The National Enquirer has occasionally proven to be correct. We’ll be the first to admit we’re mistaken and to celebrate if there really is another Kim Kardashian sex tape out there. But don’t get your hopes, or any body parts, up for it, fellas. Was Black Former CIA Officer Convicted Of Leaking Classified Intel To Reporter Angry Over Workplace Discrimination?

Prosecutor Claims Former Black CIA Officer Convicted Of Espionage Was Disgruntled Over Racial Discrimination Is this guy a black Edward Snowden , or is that too much of a stretch? One big difference in this case is that Sterling claims he did nothing wrong. According to NY Times reports : Jeffrey A. Sterling, a former Central Intelligence Agency officer, was convicted of espionage Monday on charges that he told a reporter for The New York Times about a secret operation to disrupt Iran’s nuclear program. The conviction is a significant victory for the Obama administration, which has conducted an unprecedented crackdown on officials who speak to journalists about security matters without the administration’s approval. Prosecutors prevailed after a yearslong fight in which the reporter, James Risen, refused to identify his sources. The case revolved around a C.I.A. operation in which a former Russian scientist provided Iran with intentionally flawed nuclear component schematics. Mr. Risen revealed the operation in his 2006 book, “State of War,” describing it as a mismanaged, potentially reckless mission that may have inadvertently aided the Iranian nuclear program. On the third day of deliberations, the jury in federal court in Alexandria, Va., convicted Mr. Sterling on nine felony counts. Mr. Sterling, who worked for the C.I.A. from 1993 to 2002 and now lives in O’Fallon, Mo., faces a maximum possible sentence of decades in prison, though the actual sentence is likely to be far shorter. Judge Leonie M. Brinkema of Federal District Court, who presided over the weeklong trial, allowed Mr. Sterling to remain free on bond and set sentencing for April 24. “This is a just and appropriate outcome,” Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said. “The defendant’s unauthorized disclosures of classified information compromised operations undertaken in defense of America’s national security. The disclosures placed lives at risk. And they constituted an egregious breach of the public trust by someone who had sworn to uphold it. As this verdict proves, it is possible to fully prosecute unauthorized disclosures that inflict harm upon our national security without interfering with journalists’ ability to do their jobs. While it might seem like this is a case where race wasn’t a factor, it turns out that it did play a role. The prosecution argued that Sterling was disgruntled over workplace discrimination. Liberal advocacy groups have hailed Mr. Sterling as a whistle-blower for taking his concerns about the program to the Senate Intelligence Committee in early 2003, a time when dissenting voices in the C.I.A. were hushed as the country prepared for war in Iraq. The Justice Department and C.I.A., however, deny that characterization. They said that the Iran operation had not been mismanaged and that Mr. Sterling had gone to Congress and then the news media as a way to settle personal grievances. The Justice Department had no direct proof that Mr. Sterling, who managed the Iranian operation, provided the information to Mr. Risen, but prosecutors stitched together a strong circumstantial case. They described Mr. Sterling, who is black, as bitter and frustrated about what he believed was workplace discrimination. Telephone records and emails showed that Mr. Sterling and Mr. Risen had talked frequently, and prosecutors argued that only Mr. Sterling had the information, the motive and the opportunity to leak it. We’re a little torn over this one because we’d hate to be tied up in court for not divulging the identities of our government sources — if we had any. But at the same time, if dude snitched, isn’t he risking public safety and national security? What do you think? Also, it’s worth noting that Sterling is the one of eight people the Obama administration has charged with discussing national security matters with reporters. Under all previous presidents combined, only three people had faced such prosecutions! APImages

That’s Not Sweet: Oregon Bakery Refuses Order For Gay Wedding Cake

Guess that’s the way the cake crumbles? Yet another bakery is turning down business for faith based reasons, specifically when it comes to gay matrimony-dom. Via Salon reports : Oregon baker Aaron Klein could face legal action after refusing to do business with a same sex couple who sought a cake for their upcoming wedding. As reported by KATU, the woman who filed the complaint says she had previously purchased a wedding cake from Sweet Cakes Bakery for her mother without incident, but was denied service after she told Klein the cake she wanted to buy was for her same-sex wedding. Klein admitted he refused the bride-to-be, telling NBC, “I believe that marriage is a religious institution ordained by God. A man should leave his mother and father and cling to his wife… that to me is the beginning of marriage.” While he won’t bless the union of a gay couple with a too-thick layer of buttercream frosting and overly dry white cake, he is not anti-gay, Klein says. “I’ll sell [gay people] stuff… I’ll talk to them, it’s fine,” he told NBC. This isn’t the first time a bakery has become an unlikely battleground in the gay marriage debate. In 2011, Iowa baker Victoria Childress came under fire for refusing service to a same sex couple at their pre-wedding tasting. Again, Childress cited her religious beliefs and freedom of speech as a justification for the denial. And again, she didn’t see it as discrimination. “I didn’t do the cake because of my convictions for their lifestyle. It is my right as a business owner. It is my right, and it’s not to discriminate against them. It’s not so much to do with them, it’s to do with me and my walk with God and what I will answer [to] him for,” she told KCCI. In 2012, Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, found that refusing to bake for a gay couple’s wedding was a boon to his business. After the incident, “We had about twice as much business as normal” Phillips told KDVR. “There are people coming in to support us.” While many states have laws banning discrimination based on sexual orientation in employment and housing, the law is less clear when it comes to things like selling cakes. In Oregon, the question for the Attorney General’s civil enforcement officers is whether or not Klein’s religious beliefs defend him against the Oregon Equality Act of 2007, which prohibits discrimination against people based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. Last year, the New Hampshire legislature introduced a bill that would allow businesses to refuse business to gay and lesbian customers seeking wedding-related services through a conscience clause. As reported by the Eagle Tribune, the proposed bill could enshrine discrimination in state law, enabling more than just bakeries to refuse services to their customers: Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no person, including a business owner or employee thereof, shall be required to provide services, accommodations, advantages, facilities, goods, or privileges to an individual if the request is related to the solemnization, celebration, or promotion of a marriage and providing such services, accommodations, advantages, facilities, goods, or privileges would be a violation of the person’s conscience or religious faith. A person’s refusal to provide services, accommodations, advantages, facilities, goods, or privileges in accordance with this section shall not create any civil claim or cause of action or result in any state action to penalize or withhold benefits from such person. That New Hampshire bill sounds like some pure hater isht… Do you think these business owners should have a right to refuse certain services — or is it just like back in the day when Woolworth’s could opt not to have blacks at their lunch counters? In Old Racist GOP White Folks News: John McCain Compares Iranian Leader To Monkey

John McCain Compares Iranian Leader To Monkey Thank goodness this douchelord never actually became President… Via NBC News: Always one to speak — or Tweet — his mind, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) Monday made a joke comparing Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to a monkey, something one Republican congressman charged was “racist.” “So Ahmadinejad wants to be first Iranian in space – wasn’t he just there last week?” McCain said in a tweet that also linked to a story about Iran launching a monkey into space. Some didn’t take so kindly to the not-so-diplomatic quip, prompting McCain, 76, to respond: “Re: Iran space tweet – lighten up folks, can’t everyone take a joke?” Seeing that, Michigan congressman Rep. Justin Amash, 32, shot back. “Maybe you should wisen up & not make racist jokes,” Amash tweeted. It’s not the first time McCain’s made a joke about Iran that landed him in some hot water. During his run for president in 2007, McCain sang about bombing the country. As if we didn’t already know John McCain wasn’t isht, he goes and says stuff like this. SMH. WENN

Timeline: The Long, Tortured History of Orson Welles’ Lost Film The Other Side of the Wind

Word hit this week that Orson Welles’ famous lost, unseen film The Other Side of the Wind might finally see the light of day soon. It sounds like great news; people close to the production and who have seen footage say that Welles’ final film, which stars John Huston as a controlling director, is a potential masterpiece. Now, however, Welles’ former partner (and current rights-holder) Oja Kodar has

Iran Paying Taliban for Dead US Soldiers

At least five Iranian companies stationed in Afghanistan are covertly funding Taliban militants, paying them salaries of $233 a month with a $1,000 bonus for killing an American soldier, according to the Sunday Times of London. Blowing up a US military vehicle is worth $6,000, making insurgents better paid than any Afghan police officer or soldier. “Iran will never stop funding us, because Americans are dangerous for them as well,” said a Taliban treasurer, who travels from the mountainous Wardak province to an Iranian construction company that operates out of Kabul to pick up the cash. “The money we get is not dirty. It is for jihad,” he said. The treasurer said he has picked up almost $79,000 in the past six months. Afghan intelligence and Taliban sources told the Times that the firms — set up with foreign aid money within the past six months — provide cash for a network of district Taliban treasurers to pay battlefield expenses and bonuses for killing the enemy and destroying their vehicles. The Iranian companies win contracts to supply materials and logistics to Afghans involved in reconstruction. The money often comes in the form of aid from foreign donors. Profits are transferred through poorly regulated Afghan banks — including Kabul Bank, which is partly owned by President Hamid Karzai's brother Mahmood — to Tehran and Dubai. From there, the money returns to Afghanistan through the informal Islamic banking system known as hawala. “This means the companies involved in funding the insurgency can cover their tracks easily. It makes it harder for us to trace the cash flow,” a senior Afghan intelligence official said. He said the Iranian companies had been formed with the intention of winning contracts funded by foreign aid so that donors' cash could be channeled into the insurgency. The Iranian embassy in Kabul refused to respond to the allegations. U.S. Peace Corps volunteer Killed in Lesotho

CNN: An American aid worker died from a gunshot wound suffered in the southern African nation of Lesotho, the Peace Corps said in a statement. Peace Corps volunteer Thomas Maresco, 24, died in the country's capital, Maseru, on Friday. “The deceased was attending a farewell function at the Maseru Sun Cabanas Hotel … he and a female friend decided to return to the center on foot even though their vehicles were waiting outside the Hotel,” Inspector Lekhotla Mojete, of the Lesotho police, told CNN in a phone interview from Maseru. “The area the hotel is in is very safe — with not much crime, but we think they were observed leaving the hotel on foot and when they were returning, (an) assailant was waiting outside the Hotel,” Mojete said. “The stranger started making demands of them, which they didn't fully understand and (the assailant) then shot the deceased.” He said the woman accompanying Maresco rushed back into the hotel to get help, but police were unable to find the gunman when the arrived on scene. “We believe this was a robbery,” Mojete said. A description of the attacker was provided to law enforcement officials by the woman. No arrests have been made yet and an autopsy was scheduled. “Tom was an exceptional volunteer, leader, teacher and coach — he was an integral part of his host community where he shared his passion for teaching, music and sports,” said Aaron S. Williams, the Peace Corps' global director. Maresco's work also involved HIV awareness in the communities he served, according to the Peace Corps. “We are deeply saddened by this tragic event, and I ask that you keep Tom's family, and our volunteers and staff in Lesotho in your thoughts and prayers.” The statement said that Maresco is from Port St. Lucie, Florida. He taught secondary education in the highlands district of Thaba-Tseka since November 2009. Maresco was scheduled to serve until January 2012. Peace Corps has 91 volunteers in Lesotho. More than 2,100 Americans have served as Peace Corps volunteers in the nation since 1967. Thomas Maresco Facebook story told a slightly different story: “Thomas Carmine Maresco's cousin Bobby has asked that we all pass this statement around: CNN HAS UPDATED TOM'S STORY WITH INACCURATE INFORMATION! CNN IS REPORTING THAT TOM AND ONE OTHER FEMALE FRIEND LEFT THE HOTEL WHERE THEY WERE CELEBRATING TO RETURN TO THEIR OWN HOTEL ON FOOT. THIS IS NOT TRUE, THERE WERE EYEWITNESSES THAT REPORT THAT TOM LEFT WITH ALL THE OTHER PCV'S IN HIS CAMP. AS BOBBY HAS SAID, TOM HAD BEEN OVER THERE ALMOST A YEAR AND WAS VERY STREET SMART, LET'S GET THE CORRECT STORY OUT THERE AND NOT LET THE LESOTHO POLICE PROTECT THEMSELVES RATHER THAN BEING GRATEFUL FOR THE WORK THAT THE PEACE CORPS HAVE DONE FOR THEIR COUNTRY!!!” I want to personally thank Thomas Maresco for all he has done and what he would have done in the future. I hope to get a great chance like this and join the Peace Corps and get stationed in Africa. Thank You Thomas Maresco. http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/africa/09/05/lesotho.peace.corps.death/index.html?… http://www.peacecorps.gov/index.cfm?shell=resources.media.press.view&news_id… added by: angelaguayo
