It’s Murrrrrdaaaa: Convicted Drug “Czar” Jimmy Henchmen Has Been Officially Indicted For The Murder Of 50 Cent’s Partner!

Is there a crime that this ninja HASN’T committed??? James “Jimmy Henchmen” Rosemond Indicted For Murder They called him Jimmy Henchman — the man with the Teflon reputation, tied for years to the feud that led to the murders of two legends of the hip-hop world. But on Friday, officials in Manhattan said the man, James Rosemond, was being charged with arranging the murder of an associate of the rapper 50 Cent. The news came less than three weeks after Mr. Rosemond was convicted of running a multimillion-dollar cocaine ring. In an indictment announced on Friday, Mr. Rosemond, 47, was charged with conspiring with five other men to kill the associate, Lowell Fletcher, in 2009. “This has not been a good month for Jimmy the Henchman,” Raymond W. Kelly, the New York police commissioner, said in a statement. He said the murder of Mr. Fletcher had been retaliation for an assault on Mr. Rosemond’s son. Messages left for Mr. Rosemond’s lawyer were not returned. Mr. Rosemond, who ran a management company, Czar Entertainment, is perhaps best known for accusations that have trailed him since the killings of the rap music luminaries Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace, better known as the Notorious B.I.G., in the mid-1990s. Mr. Rosemond has denied involvement in the bitter feud that led to their shootings. Preet Bharara, the United States attorney in Manhattan, said Mr. Rosemond and the five other defendants had “operated like a mini-gang, allegedly committing a revenge killing, and a host of drug and firearms offenses.” A seventh man was also charged with firearms and narcotics offenses but not murder. For those that are unaware of the circumstances surrounding Mr. Fletcher’s death… Mr. Fletcher was shot to death on the evening of Sept. 27, 2009, near Jerome and Mount Eden Avenues in the Mount Eden neighborhood of the Bronx. Mr. Rosemond and another man hired at least two of the defendants to kill Mr. Fletcher in exchange for drugs, according to the indictment in United States District Court in Manhattan. Jimmy, you’re down for the count. We’re sure that 50 is somewhere poppin’ bottles to your demise. Source

James ‘Jimmy Henchman’ Rosemond Enters Not Guilty Plea

Hip-hop manager vows to fight federal drug charges after his arrest on Tuesday. By Rob Markman James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond (file) Photo: Soul Brother/FilmMagic James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond is not backing down from the federal drug charges he’s facing. After his arrest on Tuesday, the hip-hop manager, who once counted Game as a client, pleaded not guilty to witness tampering, obstruction of justice and intentionally conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, The Wall Street Journal reported. The not guilty plea came as expected. In an interview with MTV News on Tuesday, Rosemond’s attorney, Jeffery Lichtman, said his client was ready to take on the Feds. “These charges obviously aren’t surprising, we’ve been anticipating them for years now,” he said. “But they’re built on the backs of people that have lied and cheated, have been threatened, have been bribed by the government. Anything to get Jimmy Rosemond, but all of this is going to be exposed. We’ve been waiting a long time for our day in court — we finally have it.” Rosemond has been on the lam since warrants were issued for his arrest on May 17. On Tuesday afternoon, Henchman was arrested after he led US Marshals and DEA agents on a foot chase across several Manhattan blocks before he was apprehended on 21st Street and Park Avenue South. A complaint obtained by MTV News from the DEA revealed detailed accounts of a bi-coastal drug-trafficking operation that the government alleges Rosemond headed. The complaint was built with the help of incarcerated members of Rosemond’s supposed drug-ring who are now cooperating with the government in hopes of receiving a reduced sentence. The complaint also suggests that Henchman ran the operation, shipping cocaine and cash through express mail couriers, using his company Czar Entertainment as a front. The document is filled with transcripts of recorded phone conversations, intercepted emails and informant accounts charging that Rosemond converted drug proceeds into postal money orders in an intricate scheme to legitimize the funds. Last week, Henchman’s name came up in connection with two other crimes. Dexter Isaac, an inmate who is also believed to be cooperating with the government against Rosemond, admitted to his involvement in the 1994 Quad Studio robbery and shooting of Tupac Shakur . Isaac claims that he was paid $2,500 by Henchman to undertake the heist. As that news broke, the Smoking Gun reported that two men tied to Rosemond have been charged with the 2009 murder of known G-Unit associate Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher. Through it all, Lichtman maintains his client’s innocence, pointing out that much of the government’s evidence is centered on the accounts of known criminals looking to get a break. “When you got witnesses like that against you, it can make anybody paranoid and believe that they won’t be getting a fair trial,” Lichtman said. “When the case starts, we’ll be ready to go.” Check back with MTV News for updates as this story continues to develop.

James ‘Jimmy Henchman’ Rosemond Arrested By Feds

DEA confirms to MTV News that Czar Entertainment honcho was apprehended and arraigned on drug charges in New York City. By Rob Markman Jimmy Henchman Photo: Soul Brother/FilmMagic The manhunt for hip-hop music executive James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond ended Tuesday afternoon (June 21), the DEA confirmed to MTV News. Henchman, who ran the Czar Entertainment management company overseeing the careers of artists like the Game, was arrested in New York City and charged with heading a cocaine trafficking ring. Rosemond has been on the lam since warrants were issued for his arrest on May 17. On Tuesday afternoon, the onetime music manager noticed federal agents as he walked out of the W Hotel in Union Square, according to the New York Post. Henchman tried to evade US Marshals and DEA agents by taking off on foot, but was apprehended and arrested on 21st Street and Park Avenue South. Rosemond was then arraigned in Brooklyn on conspiracy to distribute in excess of five kilograms of cocaine; he is being held without bail, a DEA representative told MTV News. According to Rosemond’s lawyer, Jeffery Lichtman, Henchman and his defense team are ready. “These charges obviously aren’t surprising, we’ve been anticipating them for years now,” Lichtman told MTV News on Tuesday. “But they’re built on the backs of people that have lied and cheated, have been threatened, have been bribed by the government,” he added. “Anything to get Jimmy Rosemond, but all of this is going to be exposed. We’ve been waiting a long time for our day in court — we finally have it.” Through the DEA, MTV News has obtained a copy of the complaint and affidavit stemming from Rosemond’s arrest warrant. In it, there are details of Henchman’s alleged drug ring, which is said to have shipped cocaine under accounts belonging to Czar Entertainment from California to New York in “road cases” typically used to transport musical equipment. Vacuum-sealed bags and mustard were also used to conceal the smell from drug-sniffing dogs. Two “high-ranking members” of Rosemond’s alleged organization (referred to in the complaint as “CW-1” and “CW-2”) helped the DEA in their investigation. The document does confirm that both men agreed to cooperate with the government after their respective arrests in the “hope of receiving a reduced sentence.” It is also noted in the complaint that while on the run, Henchman avoided the use of cell phones and suggested to one of the members of his organization that he should go into hiding. “N—-r stay low, move like you on the run right now ’cause that is what I’m doing n—-r, trying to get some ID, some new paperwork, all that sh– right now,” Rosemond said during a telephone conversation recorded by agents. Dexter Isaac, who is believed to be cooperating with the government in its case against Henchman, told AllHipHop.com that he was paid $2,500 by Rosemond to rob Tupac Shakur at Quad Studios in a November 1994 incident that resulted in the near-fatal shooting of the rapper, two years before his death in 1996. Lichtman told the New York Daily News that Isaac’s claim was a “flat-out lie.” “When you got witnesses like that against you, it can make anybody paranoid and believe that they won’t be getting a fair trial,” Lichtman said about his client. “When the case starts, we’ll be ready to go.” Check back with MTV News for updates as this story continues to develop.

Selena Gomez Does Her Best Britney On ‘Whiplash’

Teen star channels the pop titan as Spears-penned dance tune from Gomez’s album leaks to the Net. By James Dinh Selena Gomez Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/ WireImage It’s a good thing Selena Gomez is feeling much better after her hospitalization last week because the Disney starlet has a string of gigs lined up to promote her soon-to-be-released album, When the Sun Goes Down. And while the LP doesn’t hit stores until June 28, some of the tracks have already surfaced on the Internet, including “Whiplash,” which MTV News has confirmed was co-written by Britney Spears . Gomez, who has gushed to us about her Spears fandom, shows off her best impersonation of the pop princess on “Whiplash.” The dance number begins with sonic flares and effects as the teen songstress sings about a blossoming romance. Gomez then adds a twist to the song by saying a number of phrases in a thick British accent before the pulsating chorus kicks in. “Come on and take me to the other side/ I’m gonna wait, when I look into your eyes,” she croons. “I’m so in love, I think I’m going to crash/ And get whiplash, whiplash, whiplash.” “Whiplash” was reportedly a track that failed to make the cut on Spears’ comeback album, Circus. Among the other songs leaked from When the Sun Goes Down are “That’s More Like It” and “We Own the Night.” Fans will get to see Selena doing more Britney when she tackles some of the pop star’s classic hits on her upcoming tour. Earlier this year, Gomez told MTV News that she was thinking about paying tribute to the singer with “a mash-up of some of her songs.” The Disney starlet and hard-core Britney fan revealed that she looked at Spears’ entire discography in decided what tunes to cover. “We’re gonna do a little tribute. We’re gonna do her hits, ‘ … Baby One More Time,’ and then I think we’re going to try to incorporate ‘Toxic’ and that phase,” she said. “And then we might do some of her recent, new stuff.” Have you heard “Whiplash”? Tupac ‘Shooter’ Claims Are A ‘Flat-Out Lie’

Jimmy ‘Henchman’ Rosemond’s lawyer fires back at Dexter Isaac’s charges that he was paid by the industry exec to shoot ‘Pac in 1994. By Rob Markman Tupac Photo: Chi Modu Instead of celebration, what would have been Tupac’s 40th birthday has been marred by controversy as new allegations emerge about the November 1994 Quad Studios robbery and shooting of the rapper. While fans celebrated ‘Pac’s life and legacy on Thursday (June 16), remembering the fallen icon with two trending topics on Twitter (#tupac and THUG LIFE), many of them were also debating the contents of a letter written by Dexter Isaac and posted to AllHipHop.com on Wednesday. In a note to the site, Isaac claimed to be the triggerman in the now-infamous robbery that left Shakur shot five times, two years before he was killed in a still-unsolved murder. Moreover, Isaac (who is serving a life sentence for murder, robbery, fraud and witness intimidation), now charges that it was ‘Pac’s former associate, Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond , who set the whole thing up, paying him $2,500 to do the job. Rosemond’s lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, fired back, refuting Isaac’s story. “It’s a flat-out lie,” he told the New York Daily News. “Dexter Isaac is not claiming this 17 years later to clear his conscience. He’s doing it because he’s told anybody who will listen he doesn’t want to die in prison. He has kids and wants to work off his sentence. He can’t be trusted.” “I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman],” Isaac told AllHipHop.com from prison. “I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac’s and Biggie’s] mothers some closure.” Henchman and his defense team, however, are not buying it. On May 17, news broke that federal authorities issued an arrest warrant for Jimmy Henchman in connection with a drug case. Rosemond, who as head of Czar Entertainment has had ties to numerous rappers, believes that the government is using incarcerated informants to build a case against him. He attacked Isaac’s credibility in a statement first issued to XXLMag.com. “If the government is relying on informants like Winston ‘Winnie’ Harris, a convicted drug dealer and Jamaican deportee, who came to me and motioned via hand signal that he was forced to wear a wire and begged me to skip town, or Dexter Isaac, who is serving life in prison plus 30 years, then I’m sure I will not be offered a fair trial.” The late Tupac’s onetime prot
