However, one person was a little too on the nose with her idea and what was meant to be a joke resulted in some strong reactions. Haleigh Conner , a biology and neuroscience student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, decided to dress up as “commitment” for Halloween — and when we say dress up, we mean she put on a shirt with the word “commitment” on it. Anyways, she posted the picture on Instagram and even tweeted it out with all her exes tagged. This is when people took notice and Haleigh got a wave of reactions. K-Mart also revealed that his joke that Lin wants to be black caused some trolls to call him “nigger,” while others messaged his son. Martin said, “I recently erased the post off my page. People were sending messages to my son. Like, no. Say whatever to me and about me. I have thick skin. I know what my intentions were. But then those are the things that are coming across. It was thought of as what would’ve been done in our locker room. It would’ve been jokes. We would’ve been making jokes. It’s far from racist. I guess saying “Wanting to be black” made it racial. But I despise people that look down because of race. It was meant to be a “Ha Ha Ha” moment. If you watch, I was laughing in the statements. It got taken too far. I wanted to clear the air. I don’t know Jeremy. He’s had a few crazy hairstyles before and I had the same thought process: ‘WTF.’ But I wasn’t trying to be racist. I didn’t even know he did the Players Tribune thing. RN: So to be clear, what was your intention? KM: If you listen to it, I was saying he wouldn’t have made it in our locker room. We would’ve made jokes every single day. He is a grown man. He can rock whatever hairstyle he wants to rock. People missed all of that. Just like I’m a grown man. I can say whatever I want. RN: Anything else you want to get off your chest? The Bachelor's 2017 season came to a close with Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi engaged and totally, utterly, blissfully in love. Or something. Judging by the reaction of fans and Bachelor Nation members, their breakup would be immediate if not sooner. They turned out to be correct. Nick and Vanessa broke up Friday, August 25, after just five months. It turns out he was more into fame and didn't want to move to Canada. We know, who would've EVER seen that coming. At least Nick's latest breakup gave us The Bachelorette season starring Rachel Lindsay. This summer, Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo got engaged , and while fans aren't hugely enthralled with him, they too seem in love. Will they be the new golden couple for the franchise, a la Trista and Ryan, Ashley and J.P., Jason and Molly and Desiree and Chris? Or another Juan Pablo and Nikki Ferrell, Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray, Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff? Or … Nick and Vanessa? Sorry, too soon. The point is, we can't help but wonder as we ponder the future: Who is living happily ever after? Who is not? You don't need The Bachelor spoilers to tell you that the “made it” list is a lot shorter than the other, though there are exceptions. A final rose does not a future make. Perhaps Bryan and Rachel will surprise, but with this track record, and human nature in general? We're not betting on it. Just saying. If Bryan didn’t watch the finale, which centered primarily on Peter waffling over his willingness to propose and Rachel being hung up on him? Then they might be alright. 2. Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi Look … we wished Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi all the best. That was just the least inspiring public debut from a Bachelor couple since Juan Pablo and Nikki, and it never got much better before they eventually broke up. Come on, people. We were talking about Nick Viall, who was clearly bitten hard by the fame bug, and fell for a girl who didn’t want to be in the “business” or leave Canada, where he had no interest in moving. Just saying. The odds made them a definite underdog from the start, and their five-month relationship proved skeptics correct. 3. JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers are an interesting case, both seemingly over the moon in love and behind the proverbial eight ball since day one. They certainly seem to have weathered whatever storms have been in their path thus far, but it’s still in the “honeymoon” phase, and we can’t shake the feeling that there’s more to Aaron’s little brother than we know – or that JoJo does at this point. Chances they’ll make it to the altar? 50-50. 4. Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell It was a good year, closer to a year and a half actually, which is a long time for any relationship, and Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell recently called out what they deemed as “fake news” that said they had broken up … but they canceled their wedding and just admitted that they broke up. #realnews 5. Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth have looked the part of the happy couple ever since they got engaged in August 2015. But will their engagement actually last and stand the test of time? The show’s track record suggests otherwise … but here we are a year and a half later, so the joke’s on us? 6. Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff just got engaged on The Bachelor season finale in March 2015 … only to break up in May 2015! Last month, reports that Tyler Baltierra was cheating on Catelynn Lowell began to circulate on social media. Sometimes, it’s difficult to determine the starting point of such rumors, but in this case it all started with Tyler himself. Baltierra joked that he and Catelynn cheat on each other , but since sarcasm goes over on the Internet about as well as climate science at a Trump rally, the remark was not well received. Fans either missed the joke or accused him of being insensitive for making it. The former group apparently thought that Baltierra actually chose to first come clean about his own infidelity and then accuse his wife of cheating – all on Twitter. The latter group understands that Tyler is joking, but thinks it’s insensitive, considering Catelynn recently left rehab after being treated for various emotional and psychological issues. Yes, they’re actually telling him what sort of jokes he’s allowed to make with his wife. Anyway, both groups are now scrutinizing the couple’s every move in search of signs of trouble, and they believe they’ve found one in this Instagram photo uploaded today by Amber Portwood: As you can see, the Baltierras aren’t posed quite as affectionately as the other couples. Naturally, the Dr. Phil/Sherlock Holmes hybrids of the Internet took it upon themselves to offer some unsolicited couples counseling based on this single image: “Weird Tyler doesn’t touch his wife,” one fan commented . “It’s sad really. He seems like, ‘I’m stuck with her’ attitude lately,” wrote another. Some fans claimed their beliefe that Tyler and Catelynn are headed for divorce was based not only on this photo, but also on their recent social media interactions. Again, we can’t stress enough that the exchanged fans went nuts over were clearly made in jest. Here’s a sample quote from Tyler: “Well it goes both ways. Yesterday, we learned that some Teen Mom 2 fans aren’t great at understanding sarcasm, and a mini-scandal erupted on social media as a result. It all started when Tyler Baltierra took to Twitter to “confirm” the rumors that he had been caught cheating on Catelynn Lowell . Here’s what Tyler had to say: “Damn it! We really tried keeping that a secret too! Well I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist her/him… idk it was dark and I was drunk.” He and Catelynn proceeded to kid each other back and forth, as fans who got the joke praised them as #CoupleGoalsAF, while those who didn’t bemoaned the demise of TM2’s most beloved couple. We guess you can add Javi Marroquin and Amber Portwood to the list of folks who aren’t quite sure if Tyler was joking or making the most bizarre confession in the history of reality stars being way too candid on Twitter. “I doubt it’s true, those two are madly in love,” Marroquin told Radar Online. “I hope it’s not, I love those two together!” No stranger to this sort of controversy, Marroquin has been accused of cheating on Kailyn Lowry on more than one occasion. He played it a lot more straight than Baltierra, issuing sternly-worded denials a la Bill Clinton. Amber Portwood seemed more incredulous about the rumors, but still didn’t seem to quite understand that Tyler was joking. “It’s absolutely not true! That would never happen,” Portwood tweeted. Of course, despite the fact that Tyler and Catelynn were both able to laugh off the cheating, there is reason to believe the couple might be having legitimate problems. According to Radar Online, the couple hasn’t been photographed together in three months. Last year Lowell checked into rehab to be treated for various emotional issues, and many now believe that she’s back in treatment. That may not sound like a bad thing, but Tyler has expressed his frustrations with her ongoing mental health issues in the past: “You know what Cate? You better figure something out soon,” he told her on an episode of TM2. “Listen, if you go into this thing again I got to check out. I’ll get hardened. I’ll close everyone off. It’s safe that way.” So is Tyler cheating on Catelynn? Almost certainly not. Is all well in the Lowell household? Well, it’s too soon to go quite that far.
