Justin Bieber 911 Call: Paparazzi on My Tail!

Justin Bieber was pulled over on Friday and cited for excessive speeding . It’s not exactly his first traffic violation , either. But there is another side to the reckless story, as witnesses confirm Bieber was being trailed by multiple members of the paparazzi at the time of his ticket. In an attempt to curtail the chase, he even dialed 911 not long after receiving his punishment. “I have like five cars following me,” Bieber told the operator. “”They’re the ones that are driving recklessly now, I’m just trying to like not have them be on my tail right now.” The funniest part of the exchange? When Bieber tries explain the kind of car he’s driving (“Ummm… a Fisker”), which actually invokes a giggle from the woman on the other end. If only she knew to whom she was actually speaking, huh? Terrell Owens Denies Trying to Off Himself

On the Terrell Owens 911 call released yesterday, the NFL star’s assistant told the operator that she thought he had tried to commit suicide on October 6. T.O.’s rep now says that’s just untrue. Diana Bianchini stated emphatically that “Terrell Owens absolutely did not attempt suicide nor did he attempt to overdose on pills on October 6, 2011.” Of reports of a drug overdose , she says, “[T.O.’s assistant] arrived at his home that evening after he had already taken a sleeping aid to fall asleep.” “He was unresponsive because of this. Unaware he had taken a sleeping aid prior to her arrival, his assistant was concerned and decided to call 911.” “When the ambulance and police arrived, Owens was responsive and not held in the hospital. The reports released with the 911 call are misleading.” So, that’s that. Probably. You never know with T.O., who has been accused of trying to leave this cruel world via painkiller overdose once before. [Photo: WENN.com]

Kate Major 911 Call: Scared of Michael Lohan!

The 911 call placed by Michael Lohan’s girlfriend Kate Major after he allegedly lost it and threatened to kill her in a dispute over oral relief has been released. On the call, Major does not sound happy. You can hear a panicked Kate, who has been down this road before with MiLo, telling the operator, “I’m afraid of him. He’s gonna come in here and hit me.” She then hesitates to give out her address for some reason (as the dispatcher says, that’s what 911 is for), then appears to lie when Mike asks who she’s calling. The father of Lindsay Lohan got popped on suspicion of domestic violence early this morning in Tampa, Fla. Here’s the 911 call that led to his arrest … Michael Lohan 911 Call

Gary Coleman 911 Call From Ex-Wife Gives Glimpse Of Actor’s End

Coleman and Shannon Price divorced in 2008, though she was with him when he fell. By Gil Kaufman Gary Coleman Photo: Michael Loccisano/Getty Images It’s still unknown what happened in the moments before former child actor Gary Coleman suffered a fatal head injury , but the details of the frantic 911 call from his ex-wife Shannon Price are providing a brief glimpse into the chaotic final days of the “Diff’rent Strokes” star. Coleman, 42, died on Friday of a brain hemorrhage after being rushed to a Utah hospital two days earlier following a fall at home. According to People magazine, Price, 24, who, it has since been revealed, divorced Coleman in 2008, initially resisting helping her estranged spouse. In the call, Price tells a 911 operator that Coleman fell while preparing her dinner on the evening of May 26 in their Santaquin, Utah, home. “He just got home, I heard this big bang, I went downstairs. Blood everywhere,” she said in the call. “I don’t know if he’s OK. I’m not down there right now because I have seizures, if I get stressed out I’m going to seize.” Price then described the scene, saying Coleman’s head was bloody and that there was blood all over the floor. “I don’t know what happened,” she said, prompting the operator to ask if Price could go down and check on Coleman. “I’ll try, I don’t know, I mean.” The operator asked if someone else could go check on Coleman and Price said there wasn’t. “I’ve just been kind of sick,” she said. “I don’t want to be traumatized right now.” She then yelled down to Coleman, asking if he was OK and telling him not to move. When the operator asked Price to tell Coleman to put pressure on his wound, Price reported back that the actor was lethargic. “I can’t really help him,” she said. “I just need help quick. … I just can’t be here with the blood. … I’m sorry, I can’t do it. I can’t. … There’s blood all over and I can’t do anything.” Later in the call, Price added that she wasn’t able to drive Coleman to the hospital because she’d been sick and feared having a seizure. As her panicked state increased, Price followed the operator’s advice and handed Coleman a towel to put pressure on the wound, telling the 911 staffer that the situation was stressing her out. “Yeah, I’m just panicked,” she said. “I don’t know what to do … I just don’t want him to die. I’m freaking out.” A short time later, she shouted for Coleman to sit down while applying the pressure to his head. An official cause of death has not yet been determined, but Coleman was taken off life support two days later after doctors determined that he’d suffered a critical brain hemorrhage. A funeral is expected to take place this weekend in Utah , though details about the service have not yet been released. In the meantime, a controversy has arisen over the actor’s final hours, after Coleman’s lawyer, Randy Kester, told UsMagazine.com that he questioned whether Price had the authority to make the decision to remove Coleman from life support since the couple were not longer married. “We had no indication that the information Shannon gave us was false,” a rep for Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where Coleman was treated, told “Entertainment Tonight.” “She portrayed herself as his wife.” Kester said he was the attorney for the August 12, 2008, divorce proceedings, which were kept secret until the papers were dug up this week by “ET.” If they were remarried — which would entitle Price to make such medical decisions — Kester said he was not aware of it. According to TMZ , Coleman had signed an “Advanced Health Care Directive” that authorized Price to make medical decisions on his behalf. The couple met on the 2006 set of the movie “Church Ball” and married in 2007. Kester described their recent relationship as “on-again, off-again.” At press time, there didn’t appear to be a valid will for Coleman, setting up a potentially ugly battle between Price and Coleman’s estranged adoptive parents, Sue and Willie Coleman. Gary Coleman 911 Call Released, His Death Is Under Investigation

I believe there’s more to Gary Coleman ‘s death than simply falling and hitting his head. Gary’s wife Shannon Price was the person who called 911 but she doesn’t sound too upset and at one point refuses to give him the help that the operator is asking her to perform. Gary Coleman Accident 911 Call Shannon says she “doesn’t know what happened. I had my husband go make me some food downstairs, he just got home and I heard this big bang. His head is bloody. There’s blood all over the floor. Send someone quick because I don’t know if he’s going to, like, be alive.” At one point, she says Gary’s lethargic, and she can’t really help him, “I just can’t be here with the blood. I can’t.” She also says she couldn’t drive him to the hospital because she has seizures, and she’s been sick. I think she had no problem just letting him lay there and bleed out. I’ve never heard someone so calm on a 911 call when they have walked in to find their loved one bleeding all over the floor and ‘bubbling at the mouth’. I also thought it was interesting she would have them pull the plug when he had been in a coma for only 2 days, unless the doctor told her there was absolutely no hope for him to survive. They have been divorced since August of 2008, so she may not have had the authority to take him off life support. According to Radar Online , his death is currently under investigation.

BP’s Atlantis: Another Catastrophic Accident Waiting to Happen? Facts on Atlantis, BP and the Administration

May 17th, 2010 BP’s Atlantis: Another Catastrophic Accident Waiting to Happen? The Gulf of Mexico is currently reeling from the human and environmental tragedy unfolding after the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon, an offshore oil platform. The Horizon, operated by BP, exploded on April 20, 2010, killing 11 workers, injuring many others and spilling millions of gallons of oil into the ocean. While the cause of the Horizon explosion is being investigated, it is important to note that BP has a devastating history of accidents and evading government oversight. Worse yet, an even bigger tragedy in the Gulf could be looming. An internal BP email admits that a “catastrophic” accident is possible at another one of its platforms, the BP Atlantis. An accident at this platform could result in a spill that is many times larger than the one currently unfolding from the Deepwater Horizon. BP Atlantis poses a serious, immediate and potentially irreparable threat to the Gulf of Mexico’s marine environment, oil workers and communities. BP’s Atlantis platform became active during the Bush administration in October of 2007. Located in “Hurricane Alley,” more than 150 miles from New Orleans at a water depth of more than 7,000 feet, it is one of the deepest moored semisubmersible oil and gas platforms in the world. In August of 2008, a BP contractor made a startling discovery about Atlantis: The company was operating the massive Atlantis platform without proper up-to-date and engineer-approved documentation. Some of the problems included: * More than 6,000 critical documents — including those for pipelines, flowlines, wellheads and other important systems — did not have the required engineering documentation. * Over 85 percent of the project’s subsea piping and instrument diagrams, critical documents for operating the platform, were not approved by engineers. * Many of its safety shutdown system logic diagrams were not up to date. * Over 95 percent of its subsea welding documents had no final engineering approval, calling into question the safety of the welds. Workers clean oil from the Horizon spill from a beach in South Pass, Louisiana. Photo by the U.S. Coast Guard. Atlantis is no small threat. An internal BP email characterized the situation as having the potential for “catastrophic operator errors.” Worse yet, Atlantis is operating in deeper water than the Deepwater Horizon. A worst-case scenario oil spill from Atlantis would exceed the Exxon Valdez spill in only two days, and be many times larger than the spill from the Horizon explosion. BP’s Big Oil Profits The BP group is the largest oil and gas producer and one of the largest gasoline retailers in the United States, and in 2008 was the fourth-biggest company in the world. In 2009, BP was the largest producer in the Gulf of Mexico and had pre-tax profits of $25.1 billion. BP Evades Compliance and the Federal Government Fails to Take Action Despite questions from Food & Water Watch and Members of Congress, BP has chosen to deny the problems at Atlantis. The company went so far as to send a letter to Congress saying that it only learned of the allegations recently and claimed they were unsubstantiated. However, BP’s own documents show that BP has known about these problems for years. Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Interior’s Minerals Management Service (MMS), the primary federal agency responsible for ensuring that all aspects of oil, gas, leasing, exploration, development and production activities are conducted safely, hasn’t been doing its job. The agency did almost nothing when the whistleblower and Food & Water Watch first reported the problems at BP Atlantis and alerted members of Congress. An aerial view of the progress of the Horizon oil spill off the coast of Louisiana as of May 9, 2010. Photo by NASA. It was only after 19 members of Congress requested an investigation that MMS said it would conduct an investigation starting in March 2010. By May 2010, however, according to an agency response to a Food & Water Watch Freedom of Information Act request, the agency admitted that it had not and would not take any steps to investigate. Take Action to Shut Down BP Atlantis Tell President Obama to shut down Atlantis. Given the seriousness of the situation, production at the Atlantis platform must be immediately suspended until it can be proven safe. In addition, President Obama needs to order a review of all deepwater platforms in operation and overhaul offshore drilling regulations to reflect public interests, not private profits. Take action today by going to spillthetruth.org. Visit www.foodandwaterwatch.org/press/atlantis for more information. The agency, along with a former BP document controls subcontractor, maintains the Department of the Interior has allowed BP Atlantis to operate without documented, approved final engineering drawings considered critical to safe operation.
