However, Tomblin got out of prison in 2014 after being convicted of robbery with a dangerous weapon (conspiracy) and breaking and entering, according to state records obtained by BOSSIP. The North Carolina native was convicted the year before for the crimes, which he allegedly committed within days of each other, public records show. He later served fifteen months – the minimum – for the two convictions, which ran concurrently, as well as probation. It’s unclear how Tomblin got on Williams ’ radar, or if the talk show host is aware of her new beau’s criminal past. But we’re told that even though it’s still early days, there are concerns about Tomblin’s motives for being with Williams – and whether her estimated $60 million fortune may be the reason. Mama June Shannon: Inside Her Failed Intervention…

It’s been clear for multiple months now that June Shannon is in need of help. The long-time reality star is seemingly unwilling to ditch horrible boyfriend Geno Doak and, even more disturbingly, was arrested in March for crack cocaine possession . But we had no idea just how serious Shannon’s issues truly were until we watched Friday night’s season finale of From Not to Hot. As previously teased, the emotional finale centered around an intervention staged for June by her concerned family members. Upon entering her sister Doe Doe’s house, Shannon found daughters Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and Jessica – along with niece Amber – waiting to speak with her about all that’s been going on in her life. June was extremely wary as soon as she walked into the room. “If this intervention doesn’t work, she’s mentally going to have an actual breakdown,” said Pumpkin. The 19-year old then put on a brave face and opened way up to her mother. “Physically, it’s like you don’t care about your health,” she said. “I’m concerned about you. We care about you. Alana cares about you, Jessica cares about you, Doe Doe cares about you and it’s like everybody’s trying to get you back healthy and you have tunnel vision and the only person you see is Geno.” Pumpkin even brought up the credible cheating allegations against Geno , but Mama June was in total denial. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she simply replied. The floor was then turned over to Honey Boo Boo. At just 13 years old, she stood there and explained to her mother that her decision to live with Pumpkin was “not by choice.” Tearfully, Honey Boo Boo added: “I swear to God mama it’s not by choice.” June Shannon Begged by Daughter to Seek Help: Do You Want to DIE?!? Continued the former child beauty pageant competitor, whose “career” in that field is what caused her family to land a reality show in the first place, way back in the day: “I would love to come home and stay with you, tell you about my day, but I can’t do that because I’m scared. I’m scared to stay at your house.” You would think that such an emotional plea from her young daughter would have an impact on June — but it merely caused her to exit the scene. She left the house and went off on therapist Dr. Ish, executive producer Adam Freeman and executive producer Moriah, admitting that she wasn’t the same person she used to be. “Just ask Geno how many times I sit there and cry to him and be like, ‘I hate my f-cking self. I want to f-cking kill the person that I am now,'” she cried. “Because I don’t know who I am. I don’t know if I want to ‘kill myself’ kill myself or I want to kill the person that has took over my body.” Heartbreaking stuff, right? Eventually, the group did actually convince Shannon to enter an in-patient treatment facility. That night, they drove her to the center, which was hours away in North Carolina, and watched with hope as June checked into the facility. But then this hope was quickly dashed. “After only 12 hours, June checks herself out,” the show revealed on the episode. “Geno picks her up. Their whereabouts are unknown.” Two days later, in Alabama, Shannon and Doak were arrested on the aforementioned drug possession charges. At the same time, Doak was arrested alongside Shannon on a charge of domestic violence. “As soon as Geno got Mama from the treatment center, I knew it was over from there. Mama just got charged with a possession of crack cocaine, which is a felony,” Pumpkin said on the finale “Since Mama June got arrested in Alabama, she has to stay there until she goes to court,” added Doe Doe. The series then revealed that Shannon appeared in court and “faces felony charges for drug possession” while “Geno faces felony charges for drug possession and additional domestic assault charges. According to June, she’s not allowed to leave the state until after her hearing,” the show stated. “She could face several years of jail time.” For the time being, Honey Boo Boo is still living with her sister… but praying that her mother bounces back at some point. “So I really hope this is rock bottom for mama because once you hit rock bottom, there’s no more going deeper – you can only go up,” the 13-year old said in a confessional. “I really hope mama’s just thinking I just got arrested. I need to get it together. I need to get my sh-t together. If this isn’t her wake-up call. I could possibly lose her forever.” “As of right now, my hopes for mama is honestly for her to get it together and her to leave Geno and just all-in-all get herself back to where she once was,” concluded Pumpkin. Source: Netflix / Netflix Ava Duvernay was just a teenager when five young Black boys, from Harlem, were arrested and convicted for the rape of a white woman in Central Park on the night of April 19, 1989. So when Raymond Santana, one of the “Central Park 5” sent her a wishful tweet about bringing the Central Park 5 story to the screen, “it meant a lot” to her, she revealed to NPR . Ava and Netflix’s When They See Us chronicles the events of the Central Park Five case that captivated the nation. The four-part series will span 25 years, taking on the wrongful conviction of the boys, as well as highlight their exoneration in 2002 and the settlement reached with the city of New York in 2014. Antron McCray, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, Jr., Kevin Richardson and Korey Wise were beaten upon arrest, forced into making false confessions and convicted of a crime they did not commit. They served seven years in prison and were later exonerated only to have a convicted murderer, who was serving a life sentence, eventually confess to the crime. Their story is perfectly aligned with Duvernay’s mission to raise awareness around the injustices of the prison industrial system, which she explored in her critically acclaimed documentary the 13th. When They See Us stars a stellar cast Michael K. Williams, John Leguizamo, Niecy Nash and Blair Underwood, who opened up to us about this role in the series. “My character’s name is Robert Burns and I play the defense attorney to one of the, no longer Central Park 5, the Exonerated 5,” he says making a clear distinction. Burns comes into action in the second hour of the four-hour series. According to Underwood, his character isn’t necessarily “a huge part” of the limited series. Albiet small, the emotional toll of a role like this can’t be underestimated. “Ava did something I’ve never seen on any project I’ve done. She made a grief counselor available to everyone on the set,” Underwood revealed in a candid conversation. “They were up and running by the time I came to set and I’d get e-mails from production that would say this is a very tough  material. It’s emotional and it dredges up so much in all of us. Especially the young boys recreating these emotions. To be able to say here’s the person to contact if you need any grief counseling is amazing. It’s apart of what we do. It’s our job as actors to bring those emotions to the forefront and let it manifest. People deal with it different ways.” Underwood said he took several walks to connect with nature after filming. “It’s very deep themes. The thing with this story is there is no distance from history to separate then and now. There’s 30 years logistically but emotionally, how far we’ve come? The company that Jobs built announced it will be updating the device which hasn’t seen any improvements since 2015. The new iPod Touch still looks like its predecessor with a 4-inch display, a home button and comes in multiple colors but will be sporting a new A10 Fusion system-on-a-chip under the hood. The updated iPod Touch runs on iOS 12 like the latest iPhone models and will allow owners to launch ARkit apps and even start group FaceTime conversations. Unlike the latest generation of iPhones, the new iPod Touch does not feature Touch ID or Face ID so to unlock the device you will need a passcode. Also, it will feature a headphone jack, something we wished Apple would put back on its iPhones again. This latest move by Apple comes as a surprise, but we can definitely see the potential for Apple to pull in coins. The updated iPod Touch is cheaper than Apple’s latest handsets, $199 will get you a 32GB, $299 128GB device and if you got some extra money laying around for $399 you can purchase a touch with 256GB of storage. It’s gonna take you a while to fill that bad boy up. Now if you’re wondering who would be in the market for an iPod Touch, there are plenty of potential customers.  This device would be perfect for the person who would rather have their music on a separate device, making more room for your photos on your phone. We can also see kids jumping to get the new iPod Touch because of it coming in six new colors space gray, white, gold, blue, pink and (PRODUCT)RED. Jeannie Mai Details Sexual Abuse by a Family Member

Jeannie Mai has opened up about the most personal and difficult of topics. In footage from The Real co-host’s YouTube series, Hello Hunnay , Mai sits down alongside her mother and talks about the reason why the two didn’t talk for many years. While explaining this past rift in their relationship, Mai reveals she was sexually abused by a male family member starting at the age of 9. “We’ve talked before that we had a major falling out when I was about 16 until I was 24,” Mai says in the clip below, adding: “I’ve never actually talked about that incident with my mom since then. We’re talking for the first time about how that affected us.” From there, the 40-year old explains that this abuse began shortly after her second brother was born — and her mother was forced to take on a second job in order to help pay the bills. “We needed to find a babysitter, so we called upon a family member,” Mai says. “He came over every single day and stayed with me after school.” Mai never names her abuser. She simply says he was “16 or 17″ at the time he committed this actor and that she really looked up to him at the time. That is, of course, the following took place. “I just remember one day this person sitting very close to me, we were playing video games, and he started to touch my thigh,” Mai details in the chat with her mom below. Just truly awful stuff. Jeannie goes on to say she rationalized this experience by convincing herself that because he was a family member, it was okay. “I was also just stunned because I had never been intimately touched like that so I couldn’t tell if it was wrong, I just knew I was noticing it.” As the days progressed, however, Mai says the touching progressed into him taking off her clothes, exposing himself to her and instructing her on how to touch him. Like we said: just awful stuff. “I remember him pulling me into that shower and it was the first time I have a seen a grown man and what he looked like,” she says here. “I remember him telling me to touch him in certain ways.” Mai continues: “This happened every day for a few weeks, and then it turned into months and I remember one year going by. I didn’t say anything because I was afraid.” Around the age of 13, Mai finally told her mom what had been going on. She pleaded for a new babysitter. But her mother didn’t understand what her daughter was saying or refused to believe it — even years later when the abuse became even more “aggressive,” according to Mai … and she once again tried to speak to her parent about it. “I began to get angry because now I’m telling my mom that he’s taking off my clothes and you said, ‘I don’t believe you,’” she says. Her mother admits in this video that she was in denial about the relative. Jeannie Mai, The Real Host, Discusses Abusive Past “I felt by myself,” Mai explains, adding that she left home at the age of 16 and didn’t talk to her mom for nine years. “All I can say is I’m really sorry,” her mom says in response, telling Mai for the first time that she finally confronted the abuser many years later and he begged her not to turn him in to the police. “That right there is all I needed to know,” Mai says through tears. “That you believed me and you listened and that you would go and try and do something about it. “I just needed your support. I feel like you just set something free inside of me because you believed me.” Mai and her mom have repaired their relationship and the former concludes that she has shared her story in order to help or inspire others. “We hope that this can help you connect more with your mom, grow better and closer to your family and help your heal however you need to inside,” she says.

Source: C.Smith/ WENN.com / WENN Aretha Franklin’s Handwritten Wills Discovered By Her Niece Aretha Franklin’s niece, Sabrina Owens–who is also the personal representative of Franklin’s estate–has reportedly found the late singer’s handwritten wills, according to reports via the Associated Press . These newly discovered wills were filed in probate court in Oakland County, Michigan on Monday. The three wills were discovered by Owens after she came across a key for a locked cabinet. Two of the wills, from 2010, were found in said cabinet while the third will, from March 2014, was uncovered under the cushions of a couch. It was previously thought that Franklin left no will behind, until Owens found all three of thesewills in the same day at Franklin’s home. The documents from 2014 detail which assets should be left to Franklin’s family members. A statement from Owens says, “she remains neutral and wishes that all parties involved make wise choices on behalf of their mother, her rich legacy, the family and the Aretha Franklin estate…” “If it’s clear and convincing evidence of your intentions, it’s a perfectly valid document,” Patrick Simasko, an estate specialist, told AP. “The court wants to do everything in its power to fulfill the wishes of the person who passed away.” In the documents, Franklin requests that her son, Kecalf Franklin, be the personal representative of the estate. Franklin’s sons previously agreed to Owens overseeing the estate. A hearing to confirm the validity of the wills is scheduled to happen on June 12.

I am a big fan of Eugenie Bouchard’s transition into a social media influencer…because she’s put in the work….thanks to her dad, who she’s here working out with, and his investment into her tennis career when he was present enough to see she had an ability to make it very far with her tennis….pretty much making it to all the top tennis events in the world…not necessarily winning them…but being an official tennis star, with sponsors getting fucking paid…a nice level of credibility that isn’t needed to make it as a social media influencer, but that helps when selling brand deals…cuz she’s more than just a girl in a bikini on instagram…she’s a legit athlete…an accomplished athlete….so it is all less shameless even if it can sometimes be shameless as people love the bikini selfies…from the person getting great feedback posting it…to the person looking at it…bikinis really make te internet a bettr place. A Pennsylvania woman reportedly stabbed her boyfriend with a box cutter before threatening to kill him because he failed to get her a birthday gift, according to the New York Post on Friday. A woman by the name of Georgia Zowacki had been drinking vodka on her 55th birthday on Wednesday when she is said to have stormed into her live-in boyfriend David Rea’s room in West Newton, allegedly proceeding to slash his arm and hold the weapon to his throat, police told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette . Rea, who met Zowacki two months ago, didn’t completely forget his girlfriend’s birthday–He had taken her out for a meal earlier in the day, but didn’t buy her a gift, a card or any cake, according to cops. Zowacki was also furious that nobody else had gotten her a gift, according to the paper. “She stabs me four times. Then she went to my neck and said, ‘I’m going to kill you,’ ” Rea told cops following the incident. “She got very belligerent.” During the attack, the birthday girl allegedly trashed her boyfriend’s room, smashed his television, and bolted, according to the paper. Georgia Zowacki was charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.
