Hate It Or Love It?! Tiffany Haddish Is Working On An Album Called ‘The She Ready Experience’

Source: Joe Pepler/PinPep/WENN.com / WENN Tiffany Haddish Has An Album In The Works Tiffany Haddish is trying to expand her portfolio and in a recent interview with Glamour , the comedian revealed that she’s working on an album. The Girls Trip actress might already have a leg-up in the music game–she was up for a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for her  The Last Black Unicorn  audiobook last year. She also sings a song in her upcoming film Lego Movie 2 , where she plays Queen Watevra Wa’Nab. Although Haddish ended up losing her shot at a Grammy to former President Jimmy Carter for his audiobook, she said that the Grammy nomination gave her the confidence she needed in order to give singing a serious shot. “It really inspired me. Like, ‘Wow if I can [get] nominated for a Grammy for telling my truth, what can I get if I really just apply myself and my vocal skills?’” she explained. As far as titles go, the comedian is thinking of going with something that pays tribute to her current stand up tour, She Ready . She revealed, “It will probably be the ‘She Ready’ album or ‘The She Ready Experience’ or ‘The We Ready Album.’” When it comes to features, the up-and-coming singer ahas hopes of Cardi B being featured on her new album. “I’m trying to get her on a couple of tracks,” she said before doing an impression of the rapper’s famous sound effects. “I’m like ‘She ready, brrrrrrr!” Haddish assures both herself and those who might listen to the album that she’s just determined to have a good time. “I’m going to see what happens. It might be really great, it might not. But who cares, right? You’ve got to give it a shot.” You can check out Tiffany’s full interview with Glamour down below for yourself:

Play Your Part: Andre 3K Talks Role In Hendrix Biopic, Leaving Performing Behind, And New Album

Andre 3000 Speaks On Hendrix Biopic And What’s Next The New York Times caught up with the artsier half of Outkast for a sitdown about the state of his music career and his plans once the tour is over. On becoming his idol Jimi Hendrix in the new biopic: “I wanted André for the role, beyond the music, because of where he was psychologically — his curiosity about the world was a lot like Jimi,” said John Ridley, the film’s writer and director, who also wrote the screenplay for “12 Years a Slave.” Given that playing Hendrix had been discussed for so long, were you reluctant? I may have said it to John [Ridley]: “Man, I’m old. I have gray hair. Get some young unknown kid to play Hendrix.” I turned it down. They kept at it. I actually asked my son, [Seven]. He said, “Yeah, man.” Honestly, I needed it in my life, too. Hendrix kind of saved me. I was in a not-so-great space, just in a dark place every day. I needed something to focus on to get me out of my depression and rut. Sometimes, when you’re alone, you can let yourself go. I knew if I got on a train with a lot of different people, then I couldn’t let them down. On aging in Hip Hop: I’ve heard you say that you didn’t want to become an old rapper. I remember, at like 25, saying, “I don’t want to be a 40-year-old rapper.” I’m 39 now, and I’m still standing by that. I’m such a fan that I don’t want to infiltrate it with old blood. But over the last five years, you’ve recorded maybe three or four guest appearances a year, and those verses are always really strong. I struggle with the verses. I don’t sit around and write raps, I just don’t. Now the only time I’m really inspired to write raps is if an artist that I enjoy invites me to their party. So if Future calls and says, “Hey man, I want you to do this,” I don’t want to let Future down. I don’t want to let Lil Wayne or Drake down, because I love them. But when you show up to the party, do you believe that you have something to contribute? My son, he’s 16. Him and his buddies, they’ll be in the car, and I’ll say, “Hey, what do you think about this verse?” That’s my gauge at this point. I don’t have the pulse. Part of art is knowing when not to put paint on. And when to change your medium. Why the tour now, then? Honestly, I never planned to go onstage again in that way. If I feel like I’m getting to a place where it’s mimicking or a caricature, I just want to move on. But I felt like: Let me do it now ’cause these kids [in the audience], it feels good to know that they’re happy. I really don’t actually get anything from performing. On if we’ll EVER hear a new 3 stacks project: So no plans to put out an album, but we might get a gallery show? No, I’d love to put out an album. Sung or rapped? It’s hard to say. [Laughs.] I’m just going to call it honest. I know this may sound morbid, but I was like, if I were to die today, I have all these half-songs on my hard drive, and I don’t want that. But you don’t have a time window. When you feel it, it’s right. If you don’t feel it, then why? Honestly, think about it. Why do it? Why? We won’t hold our breath on that album release date…but super excited for the Hendrix film! Will you be watching?

Farah Holt in a Bikini of the Day

I am a huge fan of Farah Holt … Sure, I have not followed her on social media, even after posting her nipple back in 2013, and not because I am playing hard to get, but because I wasn’t really inspired to remember who she is… But that doesn’t mean this love isn’t real…even if I don’t know she really exists, because these bikini pics are real…and when bikini pics of her or any girl for some bullshit campaign drop, I feel nothing but romance… Maybe it’s got nothing to do with her tall, skinny, UK model body, and everything to do with bikini pics…no matter how boring the shots are…but who’s asking questions when all I am thinking about is the snorkel I’ll need to use to breath when I bury my face in her ass…

By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber visits a 6-year-old fan battling cancer Photo: MSNBC Justin Bieber spent the day before Valentine’s Day with a special girl. Hey Nas… How Ya Doin’? Hope You Are Not Taking That Number

“Yeah, so what I was sayin’ was… your lyrics really inspired me…” “You know especially that one song… what was it called? Oochie Wally!?! Yeah that was my sh*t!” At least that’s how we imagine this conversation going between hip-hop man banger Nas and uh… his athletic apparel and embellished nail rockin’ companion. Nas was spotted waiting for his car at the valet station in front of Urth Cafe in West Hollywood. We thought maybe she might be his trainer or workout partner or something but based on the footwork, we’re gonna say naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Nas if that’s your cousin or something, we apologize — but if so maybe it’s time to advise shorty to handle them crusty toes. WENN

The Black Eyed Peas Define Innovation Before O Music Awards Debate

Most Innovative Music Video award will be handed out live Monday at 4 p.m. ET during online roundtable. By MTV News staff will.i.am Photo: MTV News On Monday, in a roundtable debate , the first-ever O Music Award will be handed out: Most Innovative Music Video. For weeks, fans have been voting for their favorite boundary-pushing, genre-expanding clip over at the O Music Awards site , and come Monday (at 4 p.m. ET on OMusicAwards.com and MTV.com), they can watch as a winner is crowned — after some spirited debate from producer/ Global14.com creator Jermaine Dupri, acclaimed video director Wayne Isham, Mashable’s Brenna Ehrlich and MTV News’ James Montgomery. We’ll also be hearing from a host of acts who know a thing or two about innovation — including the Black Eyed Peas, who have melded hip-hop, pop and dance music into a sound that is uniquely theirs and have pushed the boundaries of music videos at the same time. So we decided to ask them to describe what innovation means to them. And, not surprisingly, they went all the way back to the early days of MTV — during the first reign of the King of Pop. “There would be no MTV if it wasn’t for Michael Jackson,” will.i.am said. “If you think about it, ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘Thriller’ &#8212 all those songs &#8212 it was right around the time the video, it boomed. It was the first Internet, right? The idea of a visual, coupled with audio, and it was the first time you would see your favorite artist who was played all over the radio that told you to go see the concert. “So the video amplified concerts, it amplified the song on the radio, it created a business to where we were given MTV songs to play our video,” he continued. “It was a great business. ‘Check this out: I’m going to play the stuff you pay to make.’ … That is the best thing in the world.” And from Michael Jackson to today, the Peas see a clear line of inspiration — one that pushes the medium of the music video forward, through nothing more than sheer innovation alone. “It makes you really inspired to see people like Missy Elliott. She always had amazing videos. Ludacris, Busta Rhymes … Marilyn Manson is one of my favorite video stars; I’m always stuck like glue to the screen when he presents a video, because it’s just interesting, and it’s creative, and it’s really showing a peephole into his world,” Fergie said. “And I think that’s what it is with a video: You’re getting a peephole into a moment of an artist’s life, to present the visual with what you do sonically.” The O Music Awards debate for the Most Innovative Music Video, presented by Fuze, will stream live on OMusicAwards.com and MTV.com at 4 p.m. ET on Monday. The inaugural O Music Awards will stream live from Las Vegas at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT on OMusicAwards.com . Tune in to see who will reign supreme in categories like Most Viral Dance, Funniest Music Short and NSFW Music Video! Related Videos What Makes An Innovative Music Video? Justin Bieber Fans Take Hollywood By Storm

The city got a bad case of Bieber fever on Tuesday. Hundreds of Justin Bieber fans – along with his famous friends Miley Cyrus, Will Smith, Usher and Selena Gomez – filled the L.A. Live complex for the premiere of the teen pop star’s first movie, “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.” The mostly ‘tween and teen crowd, many in homemade T-shirts proclaiming themselves to be Bieber’s No. 1 fan, packed the LA Live plaza hours ahead of the screening, hoping for a star sighting. “We just wanted to see if we could get a glimpse of Justin,” said 15-year-old Hanna Hamersley, who wore a purple hand-painted T-shirt, a homemade Justin Bieber headband and purple “Never Say Never” 3-D glasses. Part concert film and part biopic, “Never Say Never” tells the story of Bieber’s rise from a small-town street performer to a bona fide pop sensation with hit songs, a best-selling book and more than seven million followers on Twitter. It shows a young Bieber pounding away on the drums and busking on the streets of Ontario, Canada, before rising to fame through YouTube and Twitter, and eventually performing at Madison Square Garden. “It was the greatest movie ever,” said 13-year-old Hanna Zeile. “I would watch it over and over.” Indeed, Hanna and her two friends said they planned to see the movie again on Wednesday and on Friday, when it opens nationwide. Twelve-year-old Bella Garcia said she planned to see the movie at least twice more. “I loved all the baby videos and footage of him as a kid,” Bella said. “He had no music lessons as a kid. That really inspired me.” Sisters Megan and Emily Bratta also appreciated seeing Bieber’s childhood home videos and deep musical roots. Their mom, Gayla, said she was unexpectedly taken with the young musician. “I was very impressed,” she said. “I didn’t know he had such raw, true talent.” Bieber’s fans – who call themselves “Beliebers” – play a big role in “Never Say Never.” They’re shown throughout the film in their T-shirts, singing along with his songs and crying from sheer joy at seeing him in person. Fans in the theater screamed and waved glow sticks during the 3-D concert footage, just like fans at his actual concerts. (Movie-bound parents: Bring earplugs.) “I’m so happy I have such amazing fans,” Bieber said as he introduced the film. “Tonight isn’t even about me. It’s about spreading the message that anything is possible.”

Ke$ha Says She May Go Country ‘One Day’

‘My mom wrote songs for Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton,’ the Nashville-born pop singer reveals to MTV News. By James Montgomery Ke$ha Photo: MTV News Last month, Ke$ha made headlines ( as she is wont to do these days) when she told Paper magazine that she was considering a move to country music , saying she was “really inspired” by the songs of Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton. On one hand, it did sort of make sense … after all, Ke$ha is from Nashville, and her mom wrote songs for some of the greatest country singers of all time. But on the other, you know, it’s Ke$ha. So, when MTV News caught up with her backstage at the Casio “Shock the World” party on Monday night, we decided to ask her about her future plans, and whether they included a countrified makeover. “I do love country music … [so] one day maybe, who knows. I don’t think I’ll stop singing until I’m dead,” she said. “I’m from Nashville and my mom wrote songs for Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Merle Haggard and I just love old-school country music, especially. I relate to it. And I also really like how most country songs tell a story, there’s a lot of storytelling and honesty involved, so I’ve taken a lot of my writing tips from country music … I mean, I’m definitely not done being a rowdy f—ing crazy bitch, but when I’m done doing that, who knows?” And, the way she sees it, the songs she wrote for her Animal album aren’t really all that far from country to begin with. At least when it comes to the whole “honesty” part of things. “The whole record is painfully, brutally honest,” she said. “Like talking about my ex-boyfriend, how he cheated on me. Idiot.” Should Ke$ha go country? Tell us what you think in the comments! Google’s CEO Demanded His Mistress Take Down Her Blog: Source

Eric Schmidt might advocate for making information ” even more open and accessible ,” but not when it comes to his mistresses. We’re told the Google CEO’s aggressive lawyers brought down ex-girlfriend Kate Bohner ‘s online recovery diary this weekend. We flagged the blog on Friday , reporting that Bohner had repeatedly mentioned Schmidt in a blog tied to a planned book about her recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, and predicting Schmidt, who is married, wouldn’t be thrilled. Now the site has been removed from Google’s Blogspot , where it was hosted. Bohner removed the site after threats from Schmidt’s lawyers this weekend, according to a source close to the situation. “When a billionaire threatens you, you get in line,” this person said. It made for a frightening weekend for Bohner, and no wonder: Not only is the former CNBC and Forbes journalist trying to come to terms with her sobriety and past addiction, she doesn’t appear to be swimming in the money it would take to mount a plausible legal challenge to a powerful and well-connected tech executive worth $4 billion . A public records search indicates her four-month-old pad in Delray Beach, Florida is the latest in a series of apartments and, according to a sign visible on Google Maps Street View, located in a tidy complex of smallish one- and two-bedroom units. The nuking of the blog seems especially extreme because Schmidt played such a small part in it. The executive did appear in three different posts ( see quotes here ), across maybe five paragraphs of text. But Bohner’s entries were long ; the three most recent averaged more than 30 paragraphs each, which was typical. Yes, there was the tidbit about Schmidt (aka “Dr. Strangelove”) giving Bohner an prototype iPhone, and being a “genuinely caring, concerned boyfriend.” But almost everything else was about Bohner’s yoga, time in a Buddhist temple in Thailand, friends in recovery and past addictive escapades. If Schmidt is so concerned about his privacy, why not just ask Bohner to stop mentioning him? His extramarital dalliances, including with Bohner , are hardly fresh news any more ; the Google chief is rumored either separated, as we’ve reported previously, or in an open marriage, as our Bohner-blog source insists. The Google CEO should be more concerned about the release of any fresh details about his sex life. Concerned, that is, assuming he won’t take his own advice and avoid having embarrassing secrets in the first place . Bohner’s blog and book project seemed to have really inspired the ex-addict. Her entries were long, but also formed a potential lifeline for other addicts. In other words, they had merit aside from the bits on Eric “Not the Center of the World” Schmidt. So it’s too bad they’ll be gone. You can read them for a bit longer; they’re here, on a Web caching server provided, as fate would have it, by Schmidt’s company.
