Source: VW Pics / Getty Bronx Woman Claims NYPD Wouldn’t Un-Handcuff Her While She Was Giving Birth According to the NY Post , a lawsuit is claiming the NYPD forced a woman to give birth while shackled in handcuffs. The Bronx woman(identified as Jane Doe) claims she went into labor while being detained in a police holding cell. She says police reportedly took her to Montefiore Medical Center where the incident occurred. They allegedly handcuffed her wrists to the bed and shackled her ankles. The lawsuit details doctors warning the officers the “constraints were illegal under state law”. The woman says the experience “humiliated and traumatized her”. The woman is seeking an unspecified amount for damages for violation of her civil rights and demands immediate changes to police department policy.

Lex McAllister, Former Bachelor Contestant, Dead of Apparent Suicide

Lex McAllister, a contestant on season 14 of The Bachelor – has been found dead. According to TMZ, authorities believe that McAllister took her own life by overdosing on prescription medications. Lex’s family says she suffered from bipolar disorder and depression throughout her life. Early reports indicate that a 911 call was received on Saturday afternoon after McAllister was found unconscious in her home. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where her condition quickly stabilized. Sadly, McAllister reportedly took an unexpected turn for the worse on Sunday, when her organs began to shut down. On Monday, her family made the difficult decision to remove her from life support, and she passed away on Tuesday afternoon. McAllister was featured on one of the show’s most popular seasons, in which Jake Pavelka  served in the title role. Shockingly, she is not the first season 14 cast member to take her own life, as fellow contestant  Gia Allemand committed suicide  in 2013. Following Allemand’s death, Pavelka spoke openly of his shock and grief. There’s no word on whether or not he’s been informed of McAllister’s passing. A successful career woman, McAllister’s Twitter page describes her as a “business development expert, franchise consultant and entrepreneur.” Her family has requested privacy during this difficult time. Just three months into their surprising romance, is Scarlett Johansson already moving into the Malibu home of actor beau Sean Penn? Us says yes . Relocating from temporary digs at a West Hollywood hotel, the recently separated 26-year-old “has essentially moved in over the last few weeks.” Scarlett and Sean Penn , 50, now share the same roof after months of furtive sightings in Hollywood, Mexico and beyond. Sources say it’s serious … The pair “just stay home” whenever they can, says a source. That means eating in and hanging with Penn’s kids with ex-wife Robin Wright, who aren’t much younger than she: daughter Dylan, 20, and son Hopper, 17. While it was surprising enough that Johansson rebounded from her December split from Ryan Reynolds with Penn, no one expected it to move this fast. Tired of long-distance love, Kim Kardashian plans to move to NYC “by October” to be closer to her beau of five months, NBA star Kris Humphries. “Kim wants to live in NYC when Kris’ season starts again,” an insider says, making this the second such report about Kim we’ve seen in a week. Of kourse, it’s not all about Kris. “She and Kourtney are probably going to film another season of their E! show [ Kourtney & Kim Take New York ] anyway, so it just makes sense.” Things have gotten SO serious for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, says a pal, that, “This is it for her. I’m certain of an engagement this summer.” Kardashian won’t go that far , but did say this: “It’s the next normal step! Either Star Magazine really likes being sued, or they’re just trying to be the Onion of celebrity gossip these days, because these stories are getting absurd. Give them credit for at least being topical this time, though, rather than recycling Brangelina nonsense again (he’s putting it to Bella Heathcote , allegedly). With the Royal Wedding just weeks away, Star cites TOTALLY RELIABLE intel from a “palace tattletale” in breaking a bombshell: Kate Middleton is pregnant! OMG!! There’s going to be a big announcement about this after the honeymoon, the tabloid claims. Somehow we won’t be holding our breath for that. Meanwhile, Khloe and Lamar’s honeymoon is reportedly over. For Khlomar, only tears, meddling exes and appointments for sex are the norm these days. This isn’t exactly news, as it happens in any marriage. Finally, Taylor Armstrong is allegedly anorexic. Now that we can believe. Not bad, Star , batting .333 for the week. BTW, your lawyer’s on Line 1.

Jennifer Lawrence cannot WAIT to star in The Hunger Games . The actress says that while she may not look much like the way Katniss Everdeen is described in the book series, she was a big fan long before she was cast as the character in the film adaptation and can’t wait to bring her to life. She hopes her own Hunger Games fanhood will help , as well. “The cool thing about Katniss is that every fan has such a personal relationship with her, they know and understand her in a singular way,” she says. “I’m a massive fan, so I get it.” Director Gary Ross and author Suzanne Collins have spoken out in defense of casting Lawrence as Katniss , despite the perceived physical differences. “She’s incredibly powerful, brave, and tough, and yet she has great tenderness and complexity,” says Jennifer, who earned an Oscar nod for Winter’s Bone . “It was very humbling hearing that Suzanne and Gary feel I embody those traits.” Other traits she says she embodies? Grittiness and toughness: “I was a cheerleader for six years, but I have a totally competitive side. I’ll wrestle anyone at any time. I was the manliest cheerleader.
