Kardashian scores a pair of the Nike Air Yeezy 2s after buying her beau a $750,000 birthday Lamborghini. By Jocelyn Vena Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s his and hers Air Yeezys Photo: Kim Kardashian’s Instagram Ever since Kanye West ‘s limited edition Nike Air Yeezy 2s hit shelves Saturday, they have been nearly impossible to find. Though the high-end sneakers sell at retail for $245, fans have been buying them online for prices far above their retail value (as much as $89,000). But luckily for Kim Kardashian, she’s dating the designer. Yeezy’s girlfriend tweeted out a photo of her new pair, which just happen to match her rapper beau’s solid black sneaks with hot pink and neon blue detailing. Her message simply reads, “His & Hers! #AirYeezys.” Kanye’s gift to his reality star girlfriend comes just days after she gave the rapper a $750,000 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 for his 35th birthday . Kimye has certainly been making headlines since the pair started dating earlier this spring. The pair has been spotted all over the globe, hitting up the Cannes Film Festival in May , where the MC premiered his “Cruel Summer” film. TMZ reported that both Kanye and Kim put their Los Angeles-area homes up for sale, leaving some to wonder if it means that the reality star and the rapper will soon be cohabitating. Considering that “Cruel Summer” actor Aziz Ansari recently shared that Yeezy plans to premiere the artsy 30-minute short all over the U.S. in the near future, we imagine there will be more Kimye sightings soon. Dear Bossip: I Prayed Before Plunging Further With Him & I Learned He Is A Con Man With Multiple Felonies

Dear Bossip , I’m going to get right to the point, Hun! I met this guy while at work a couple of weeks ago. After helping him with his retail related needs, we began to chat. He told me he was married for 11 years and divorced for one year, had a successful auto wholesale business, three children, etc. He eventually asked me out. I thought he was handsome, well-spoken, well-mannered, and well-dressed so I allowed him to take me to dinner. After a few dates we really seemed to hit it off. So, instead of plunging in head first I prayed and asked the Lord to show me what purpose this person would serve in my life. After my prayer, I got the urge to ‘Google’ him. During my search I found out that was actually married twice, there were several complaints listed online from customers he swindled or tried to swindle in various ways! On top of that, this knee-grow has accumulated 15 various misdemeanors AND felonies from 1997 to 2010!!! I immediately hit him with the, “I’m not over my ex,” line and told him that I could no longer see him. My line was clearly ineffective as he will not stop calling and texting me! When I ignore his attempts at communication he shows up at my job! My friends say that I should just tell him that I know he’s a crook, but I’m kinda scared! What should I do to get him to leave me alone? P.S.- For the record, I have not given him even the slightest whiff of the cookie! I’m a lady! – Doesn’t Want To Be His Next Felony Dear Ms. Doesn’t Want To Be His Next Felony , Girl, I’m over here shouting and doing the praise dance to Souled Out by Hezekiah Walker. You deserve the You Ain’t Gon’ Fool Me And Have Me In A Trick Bag Award . I love the fact that before you went any further with this man, you got on your knees and sought the Lord for guidance about your next move with him and what purpose this man would serve in your life. If only half the people who write in seeking advice would do the same before they jump in the bed with someone and end up pregnant, broke, with bad credit, emotionally drained, mentally stressed, and cluster f***ed, then they wouldn’t have the problem, stress, aggravation, and woe is me attitude. But, lo and behold, we have a woman who used the common sense God gave her, and she used her brain to actually think before she made a move, and look what we have BOOM! BAM! POW! She was saved and spared a life of heartache, misery, and pain. You say you got the ‘urge,’ and I’m going to say, “You were instructed by that small little voice of God telling you to ‘Google him!’” You see, ladies, gentlemen, chickens, roosters, birds, and donkeys, this is how you do it!!! Before you go any further with anyone, and jump in the bed, spread your legs, get on your back, and let your emotions run your life, you should seek some type of spiritual counsel or higher consciousness of understanding to give you guidance, a sign, a word, or a smack upside the head letting you know, “No you don’t! Pump your brakes and take it slow. THIS PERSON IS NOT THE ONE!” And, you see what she discovered; He was actually married twice, and there were several complaints listed online from customers he swindled or tried to swindle in various ways. He also has 15, not 1 or 2, but 15 misdemeanors AND felonies from 1997 to 2010! Girl, he is a career criminal. One or two things could have happened: He would have gotten hold of your bank statements, social security number, and the next thing you know you would have had several businesses, cars, and other types of –ish in your name without your knowledge. Or, once you started sexing him, and he would have blown your back out, he would have came to you with some sorry ass lame line talkin’ ‘bout he wants you to invest in his next new business venture and you would have been handing over your life savings. SMDH! I really do commend you on doing the right thing and deciding not to be involved with this master criminal, but, I’m like your friends. I would put his ass on blast! Freak that, “I’m not over my ex,” line. He doesn’t understand that type of ‘leave me alone’ tactic. He is a swindler and hustler. So, unfortunately, you’ve got to put on your ‘Knee-Grow-Be-Gone-Swindling-Ass Fighting Gloves’ and give him a quick one two punch. BOOP! BOOP! So, print out all the documentation you discovered online about him. Laminate it, and put it in a nice binder and then make three sections with color coded tabs: Yellow color tab for married twice instead of once. Have all the information under this section. Blue color tab for all the complaints filed against him from customers he swindled or tried to swindle. Have the dates, names, and complaints highlighted in yellow marker. Red color tab for all the misdemeanors and felonies he’s been charged with. I would get all the court documentations and highlight them in yellow marker. The next time he arrives at your job, you say, “Oh, hey, ______________. I’m so glad you’re here.” This is when you reach under the counter and pull out the binder. “I want to show you some things.” And, then proceed to flip through the binder and review each section with him. After you finish, you say, “Shhhhh, there is no need to respond. I don’t want to hear it. But, based on this information do you honestly think a woman like me would be remotely interested in a man like you?” Then slowly move toward your purse and pull out your glock, and if you don’t have a CCW license, then pull out your mace, and proceed to let him know, “I have a restraining order of protection. You have 10 seconds to leave and never harass, call, text, hand gesture, glance, or even drive in the same lane as me.” Then look up at the clock and then back at him, and then say, “You now have 2 seconds before the cops will have to pull me off your ass.” And, trust me, that will put an end to it all. LMBAO! But, for real, you do need to let him know what you know about him so that he will stop thinking his behavior of showing up at your job, calling, texting, and harassing you is cute. He thinks you’re playing hard to get. Let him know you’re not playing hard to get. You’re just not playing! So, don’t be scared. Remember, God has not given you a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind. Check out the video below and get your praise dance on!! – Terrance Dean Hey Bossip Fam, what do you think? Jadakiss Supports Irv Gotti For Def Jam President

‘He said a lot of stuff that doesn’t get said,’ Jada tells MTV News of Irv’s ‘RapFix Live’ appearance last month. By Alvin Blanco Jadakiss Photo: Alberto E. Rodriguez/ Getty Images Irv Gotti has another endorsement in his quasi-campaign to become president of Def Jam: Jadakiss thinks the producer and executive would be a good fit at the storied record label. The Yonkers rapper “loved” Gotti’s early October appearance on MTV News’ “RapFix Live,” when he insisted he was the “best man” for Def Jam’s currently vacant presidency. “It was one of the best ‘RapFix’ [interviews] ever,” Jada told MTV News. “He said a lot of stuff that doesn’t get said. He was able to [vent] without hating on the record labels or channeling any hate. … Everything he said — me being on the inside looking out and him being on the inside looking out but now on the outside looking in — I think he nailed every point. I think everything he said was excellent, and almost everything was true.” ‘Kiss is signed to Def Jam — releasing his latest album, The Last Kiss, in 2009, as well as the retail mixtape I Love You (A Dedication to My Fans) in May 2011 — on the label. The “We Gonna Make It” rapper hasn’t spoken to anyone at the label about his support for the Murder Inc. founder, but he did mention agreeing with Irv’s point that suits at any record label need to better relate to artists in order to earn their trust when it comes to making career decisions. “Def Jam and every other label, it ain’t that they’re bad record labels; it’s just sometimes they don’t understand the artists that they have,” Jada explained. “It’s hard for somebody … when you not coming where I’m from every day. … You live a whole totally different life than me, but you telling me this ain’t the record. That ain’t really what’s up, and that sometimes happens. It doesn’t always happen, but sometimes that’s what happens, and that be the conflict of interest.” When it comes to label drama, ‘Kiss has had more than his fair share. Upon entering the rap game as a member of the LOX, with Styles P and Sheek Louch, the group was signed to Bad Boy Records. But after discontent, the trio managed to leave Bad Boy and sign to Ruff Ryders via Interscope Records in 1999. ‘Kiss would release a pair of solo albums (2001’s Kiss the Game Goodbye, 2004’s Kiss of Death ) on Interscope before Jay-Z, then Def Jam’s president , inked him to Roc-A-Fella in 2007. That said, he’s learned a thing or two about navigating record-business politics. “I have a problem sometimes, but I’m always able to work it out, ’cause I understand that it’s a business first,” ‘Kiss said of any creative friction that may arise between him and Def Jam. “That word ‘business’ is very strong. You can’t take that personal. You can’t let that intertwine with your feelings, and you gotta just come to some agreeance. There’s always a way to work it out without running to the Internet or badmouthing the employees or something. For the most part, they show me love, so I just show the same love and respect back. Even if I disagree with something, if I bring it to them and we’re not able to work it out, I just try to work it out myself, opposed to flipping — unless it’s something that pissed me off to the point of no return,” he laughed. Jani Lane Recalls ‘Cherry Pie’ Criticism In Vintage Video

‘We thought it was a pop-art video,’ singer said of sexy clip featuring model Bobbie Brown. By Jocelyn Vena Warrant’s Jani Lane in 1991 Photo: MTV News In 2011, Warrant ‘s video for “Cherry Pie” hardly seems very controversial. But when it was released in 1990, the kitschy clip, featuring model Bobbie Brown dancing around in super-short cutoffs and a red halter as the bandmembers drool after her, earned them a bit of flak. Following the death of frontman Jani Lane on Thursday, as fans remember Warrant’s biggest hit, MTV News looked back into the archives to find Lane’s defense of the clip and song, whose lyrics aren’t exactly talking about baked goods. “We put out the ‘Cherry Pie video [and] we had a girl in it, she wasn’t completely [naked but] she didn’t have a parka on, so right away we got labeled as a sexist bunch of kids,” he said in 1991. “But we did it because we thought it was a fun video. We thought it was a pop-art video. It was a fun song. Click for photos of the life and career of Jani Lane. “I don’t think all music has to have any political significance or a deep religious meaning,” he noted. “You can have fun rock and roll. That’s the roots of rock and roll. Chuck Berry wrote about cruising around in the car, in the back seat with a girl, so that’s what ‘Cherry Pie’ was, and you can take it for what it’s worth.” Lane and Brown later married and had a daughter together before divorcing in 1993. Lane was found dead in his hotel room in California on Thursday. He was 47. Share your memories of Warrant’s Jani Lane in the comments below. Jay-Z, Kanye West Open Watch The Throne Pop-Up Store

Superstar duo will sell copies of their brand-new album from shop in New York’s SoHo neighborhood. By Rob Markman The Watch The Throne pop-up store in New York City Photo: Rob Markman/MTV News NEW YORK — Watch the ingenuity. In what has already been an unorthodox album roll-out, Jay-Z and Kanye West are keeping the surprises coming during the record release for their tag-team LP, Watch the Throne . On Friday afternoon (August 12), the duo erected a pop-up store to sell copies of the album in Manhattan’s trendy SoHo neighborhood, and MTV News was among the first inside. When the album dropped on Monday as an iTunes digital exclusive , it seemed that Friday’s physical release of the LP would be nothing more than an afterthought. Not so! The store-front, located at 201 Mulberry Street, is regally wrapped in gold, just like the album’s Riccardo Tisci-designed cover art, the real attraction however is inside. As if slinging albums weren’t enough, Hov and Yeezy are putting the tricked-out Maybach from their “Otis” video on display inside of the retail space. Read what some hip-hop DJs had to say about “Otis” as an unconventional single. The black luxury vehicle sits there in all its remixed glory: hood on the trunk, trunk on hood, doors ripped off. Unfortunately, there is a strict no photo/no video policy in the store, but visitors are allowed to walk right up to the ‘Bach-mobile and can even touch it. On a large overhead screen, the Spike Jonze-directed “Otis” plays on a loop. There are even rumors that Hov himself will make an appearance sometime tonight and the store will be up until Sunday. For fans stopping by the Mulberry Street store, it will be open on Friday until 10 p.m. ET, on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jay, who doesn’t take to his Twitter often, posted the SoHo address this afternoon. So much of the Watch the Throne release has been shrouded in mystery. Other than “H.A.M.,” which was released in January and the LP’s first official single “Otis,” fans had heard nothing from Hov and Yeezy’s project until it was released Monday morning. Who knows what they will come up with next. What did you think of the “Otis” video? Share your thoughts on Facebook or tweet your reactions and videos @MTVNews with the hashtag #MTVOtis! Tom Hanks’ ‘Larry Crowne’: The Reviews Are In

Critics have mixed feelings about Hanks’ first directing effort in 15 years. By Eric Ditzian Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks in ‘Larry Crowne’ Photo: Universal Pictures Perhaps only the boom-boom-pow theatrics of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” which will be making most of the noise (and the box-office bucks) at the multiplex this weekend, could overshadow a new offering from Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. Or possibly the mixed reviews for their comedy, “Larry Crowne,” are helping create a lower profile for the heavily marketed film. Hanks has taken on directing duties for only the second time in his career (his debut was the 1996 nostalgia trip “That Thing You Do!”) and recruited Roberts to join in the action. But the results have been met with outright disdain in some corners, with critics scoffing at a lack of laughs and a bland story line. Yet where others see a milquetoast comedy, many reviewers see a skilled director delivering a warm-hearted summer diversion. Read on for those “Larry Crowne” critiques and more. The Story “In ‘Larry Crowne,’ Hanks plays a nice guy who gets fired from his retail job because he lacks the education to qualify him for a management position. This happens despite his countless awards for Employee of the Month. Larry cashes in his possessions, trades his car for a scooter and decides to enroll in a local community college. As his economics teacher, he draws Dr. Matsutani (George Takei), the only character in the film interesting enough to have a movie made about him. As his public speaking teacher, he gets Mercedes Tainot (Julia Roberts), a character who seems to have drifted over from the auditions for ‘Bad Teacher.’ … I watched the movie with all the pleasure I bring to watching bread rise. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy watching bread rise, but it lacks a certain degree of interest. You look forward to it being finished.” — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times The Performances “The real reason to watch this modestly charming, featherweight bauble is the chemistry between Hanks and Roberts, beloved superstars who make a beautiful pair. ‘Larry Crowne’ is only their second movie together (after ‘Charlie Wilson’s War’), but Hanks’ noble everyman is an inspired match for Roberts, who plays her character’s bitter disappointment with a believable acidity.” — Rene Rodriguez, Miami Herald The Direction ” ‘Larry Crowne’ marks Tom Hanks’ first work as a director since his delightful ‘That Thing You Do!’ 15 years ago. And now, as then, the star demonstrates a generous instinct for calm, steady pacing and cleanly framed scenes that acknowledge every character’s place in the whole, whether in the classroom, on the streets, or in the working world: When, for example, Larry draws on his Navy skills to take a job as a short-order cook, Hanks the director observes the work of every diner employee with genuine interest. … It’s easy enough to accept the romantic-comedy luck of the two finding each another. It’s much tougher, and ultimately useless, to buy everything else about this fairy tale of self-reinvention in a stalled economy.” — Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly The Laughs “The script by Mr. Hanks and Nia Vardalos (‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’) is one of those wonders of the cinema: You wonder who thought any of this was funny. The fractious scenes between Mercedes and her stay-at-home husband (Bryan Cranston) are painful, although they do give Larry the opportunity to provide a romantic palliative. Larry’s adoption by a group of younger students — all of whom ride eco-friendly motor scooters — is cloyingly, comically clueless.” — John Anderson, The Wall Street Journal The Final Word “I don’t know how ‘Larry Crowne’ is going to do this summer, but I am surprised at the venom some people seem to have mustered towards it. I found it engaging, constantly warm and funny, and very direct in its ambitions. If you want a break from the barrage of spectacle that crams out theater screens every year at this time, ‘Larry Crowne” represents a lovely alternative, and I hope people give it a chance. I’d hate to see Hanks wait another fifteen years to direct again.” — Drew McWeeny, HitFix Check out everything we’ve got on “Larry Crowne.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
