Source: Brian Stablyk / Getty A Texas mother recently proved that she would do anything to protect her kids, even shoot someone if needed. According to FOX 4 News , on Wednesday Michelle Booker-Hicks went to get gas at a Dallas station when she saw a man get into her car with her 2-year-old and 4-year-old sons. She ran back to her car, hopped in and grabbed her gun out of the glove department as the driver sped down the street. Booker-Hicks then shot the carjacker right under his eye. “I proceeded to jump in my backseat and told the gentleman to stop, to get out the car. He would not get out of the car. He turned around and looked at me,” she told FOX 4. “I reached over the armrest to get my glove compartment and that’s when I fired at him once I got the gun from my glove compartment.” After being shot, the carjacker crashed the car into a fence. Thankfully, Booker-Hicks and her children weren’t hurt. The man, later identified as Ricky Wright, was arrested and taken to the hospital. Booker-Hicks stressed that all she cared about in that moment was her children. “I’m not a killer or anything, but I do believe in defending what’s mine,” she said. “I hope that woke him up.” An attorney not involved with her case told FOX 4 he doesn’t think the mother will face any charges for her actions. When children are involved, obviously the authorities are going to be very understanding of that,” Toby Shook said. “The law says that if a reasonable person in her situation would have acted the same way, found it immediately necessary to protect herself or a third party, in this case her children, then that’s legitimate self-defense.” However, Booker-Hicks doesn’t have a  license to carry, but the state of Texas has laws that allow those to carry guns inside their car even without a license. Marcus Grimmie Breaks Silence on Sister Christina Grimmie’s Death With Heartbreaking Message

Friday night, Christina Grimmie was shot to death following a concert in a senseless act of violence by Kevin James Loibl .  The 22-year-old singer and former contestant on The Voice had a spirited heart and a promising career that was cut short by this disturbed individual. Further deaths and injuries might have occurred had it not been for her brother, Marcus Grimmie, who tackled Loibl upon witnessing the attack on his sister. During the struggle, Loibl turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. Marcus, who goes by Mark, has now broken his silence by posting a heartfelt message about his sister to Facebook. “Christina was more than my sister. She was a partner in life. A superstar. A goofball. Introverted. And a friend to everyone. Genuinely,” he wrote. “But above all…she was my baby sister. She loved the Lord and her family and was always there for me and I honestly don’t know what ill do without her.” Mark then humbly asked friends and fans to share memories they have of Christina to the page to honor her life. “But please, if you are reading this far, I would love all and any of you to post pics of you and her and/or memories you have of her down in the comments,” he shared. “I will cherish it forever and always. So please do that for me.” Christina Grimmie Auditions on The Voice “Thank you all so so much. The support has been crazy and I do feel a peace. I just don’t have any words. I love you all.” A friend of Christina’s, Ashly Nicole, told E! News that Mark and his sister were “as close as can be.” “He was the perfect brother to her and he became almost like a big brother to me too,” she said. “They were only a year apart and he would always talk about how he would do anything for her. She was his world. He cared about her so much.” The 27-year-old Loibl was a resident of St. Petersburg, Fla. and traveled two hours that evening specifically to murder Christina, according to officials. Police continue to investigate a possible motive. View Slideshow: Christina Grimmie Shooting Death: Stars Pay Tribute to The Voice Alum

Is This The Face Of A Cold Blooded Killer?

12-Year-Old Charged In Shooting Death Of 31-Year-Old Man Killed In Drug Deal Gone Wrong It’s hard to believe this kid could kill anyone , but 12-year-old Jarrell Milton is believed to be involved in the death of one man and a murder attempt on another. According to People.com reports: Jarrell Milton, 12, had been on the run since last month and was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Jamymell Ray, 31, who was killed on June 29 in Omaha, Nebraska, according to WOWT 6 News. Another man, 30-year-old Charles Fisher, was injured in the shooting. Jarrell was found in Minneapolis, hundreds of miles away from where the crime took place, police said in a statement late Tuesday, the Omaha World-Herald reports . Authorities are expected to begin court proceedings to transport Jarrell back to Omaha on Wednesday. Jarrell’s 17-year-old brother Jamar and another boy, Shuntayvious Primes-Willis, 15, have already been arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the shooting, NBC News reports. “I don’t recall ever seeing someone that young, charged with a crime that serious,” Omaha police spokesman Michael Pecha told the network. Prosecutors said they believe that the boys had promised to sell the two adult men marijuana. But when the men showed up to do the deal, the boys tried to rob them and ended up opening fire on the men, killing one and injuring the other. Prosecutors also suspect that the three boys have gang ties. “There isn’t any question in my mind,” Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine told WOWT 6 News. “Our intentions are to file on them as adults,” he added. “There’s a question in regards to the 12-year-old under the new law, whether we can proceed in adult court, so we’ll get him into custody and then make that determination.” He’s shocked to be prosecuting such a young boy. “It’s incomprehensible. It’s unbelievable when you think of somebody who’s 12 years old, seventh grade or sixth grade, and being charged with murder for having a gun – approaching somebody and using that firearm with two other people that also had firearms,” Kleine said. “All of it’s even impossible to imagine that it’s even a possibility.” Damn this is crazy. Talk about innocence lost. Sounds like his older brother may have potentially lead him down this path of crime and destruction. Omaha Police
