Cops Kill People: ATL Security Guard Shot Dead While Diffusing Son’s Hostage Situation

CNN Security Guard Killed By Police While Talking His Son Down From Hostage Situation In today’s episode of “Cops Kill People” a father was tragically taken from his son under suspicious circumstances… Via RawStory Bobby Daniels was a peace officer by trade – a private security guard employed at CNN’s headquarters in Atlanta. When he learned that his emotionally troubled 25-year-old son Bias had suffered a breakdown and was holding a fellow security guard at gunpoint in a mobile home part in Douglasville, Bobby raced to the scene. Using the skills of persuasion and patient de-escalation upon which a private peace officer must rely, Bobby persuaded his son to relinquish his handgun and place it on the hood of a car. Just seconds later, Daniels was fatally shot – not by his mentally ill son, but by the sheriff’s deputies who had arrived on the scene. In familiar fashion, law enforcement officials insist that the victim of this police shooting – at least the 960th to occur in 2015 – was to blame, and they have provided contradictory accounts as to how it happened. “I think that he could have been trying to help the situation instead of hurting it, but when he pointed the gun at the officers, he was shot,” asserted Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller in remarks to reports at the scene shortly after the December 21 incident. A different official account provided by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation claims that as Bobby and Bias struggled over control of the gun, deputies attempted to incapacitate the younger man with a taser. It’s amazing how each and every time the police murder kill a civilian there are wildly polarized versions of the events.

Is This The Face Of A Cold Blooded Killer?

12-Year-Old Charged In Shooting Death Of 31-Year-Old Man Killed In Drug Deal Gone Wrong It’s hard to believe this kid could kill anyone , but 12-year-old Jarrell Milton is believed to be involved in the death of one man and a murder attempt on another. According to People.com reports: Jarrell Milton, 12, had been on the run since last month and was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Jamymell Ray, 31, who was killed on June 29 in Omaha, Nebraska, according to WOWT 6 News. Another man, 30-year-old Charles Fisher, was injured in the shooting. Jarrell was found in Minneapolis, hundreds of miles away from where the crime took place, police said in a statement late Tuesday, the Omaha World-Herald reports . Authorities are expected to begin court proceedings to transport Jarrell back to Omaha on Wednesday. Jarrell’s 17-year-old brother Jamar and another boy, Shuntayvious Primes-Willis, 15, have already been arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the shooting, NBC News reports. “I don’t recall ever seeing someone that young, charged with a crime that serious,” Omaha police spokesman Michael Pecha told the network. Prosecutors said they believe that the boys had promised to sell the two adult men marijuana. But when the men showed up to do the deal, the boys tried to rob them and ended up opening fire on the men, killing one and injuring the other. Prosecutors also suspect that the three boys have gang ties. “There isn’t any question in my mind,” Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine told WOWT 6 News. “Our intentions are to file on them as adults,” he added. “There’s a question in regards to the 12-year-old under the new law, whether we can proceed in adult court, so we’ll get him into custody and then make that determination.” He’s shocked to be prosecuting such a young boy. “It’s incomprehensible. It’s unbelievable when you think of somebody who’s 12 years old, seventh grade or sixth grade, and being charged with murder for having a gun – approaching somebody and using that firearm with two other people that also had firearms,” Kleine said. “All of it’s even impossible to imagine that it’s even a possibility.” Damn this is crazy. Talk about innocence lost. Sounds like his older brother may have potentially lead him down this path of crime and destruction. Omaha Police

Epitome Of A Bad Mother: Woman Starved Newborn Son So Badly He Weighed Less Than His Birth Weight At 6 Weeks Old!

People really ain’t isht. Mother Starves Her Baby Some people shouldn’t have kids. According to Douglas County Sentinel: A Lithia Springs woman is charged with felony cruelty to children after allegedly starving her newborn baby to the point it needed medical attention. Jamie Lynn Bentley, 33, was denied bond Friday by Douglas County Magistrate Court Judge Susan Camp based on charges presented in court. According to authorities, Bentley fed her baby only two ounces of food every six hours from the time it was born. At the age of six weeks, the baby had lost two pounds from its birth weight. It has since been taken from Bentley and, at eight weeks old, has returned to its birth weight in the hospital. “DFCS has been involved in this since the beginning,” said Kristi Wilson, with the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office. “There are a lot of allegations of drug abuse with the mother.” The baby was so starved it apparently was eating its own muscle mass. “They were surprised it was alive,” said Wilson. “We don’t know if there will be any permanent damage to him. Camp had seen pictures of the baby, and said they were “terrible.” “It was skin and bones,” Wilson said. “Certain people have seen the pictures and that’s what it was. They couldn’t even recognize it was a baby in the pictures. The state is adamant that her bond should be denied. Certainly we feel she is a risk of reoffending.” Camp denied bond, saying Bentley is a danger to the victim.”Looking at those pictures, it looks terrible,” she said. “It looks like you really didn’t care anything about the baby and you were just doing what you wanted to do. I’m not saying that’s right but that’s what it looks like. So what I’m going to do is deny your bond. You may have to take this thing to trial because it looks really bad.” The baby was so starved that he was eating his own muscle mass. Dayum. Shutterstock

When The Checks Stop Coming In: Outdated Child Support Claims Expected To Catch Up With Deadbeat Dads After Treasury Dept. Switches Gov’t Checks From Paper To Electronic

This is a shame. Deadbeat dads dependent on government benefits may be truly S.O.L. thanks to the latest changes in the Treasury Department. Old child support debts could cost thousands of poor men their only income next year because of a policy aimed at reducing the cost to the government of mailing paper checks to pay federal benefits. The Treasury Department will start paying benefits electronically next March. It will stop issuing the paper checks that many people rely on to safeguard a portion of their benefits from states trying to collect back child support. States can freeze the bank accounts of people who owe child support. A separate Treasury Department rule, in place since last May in a preliminary form, guarantees them the power to freeze Social Security, disability and veterans’ benefits that have been deposited into those accounts. Once paper checks are eliminated, about 275,000 people could lose access to all of their income, advocates say. In many cases, the bills are decades old and the children long grown. Much of the money owed is interest and fees that add up when men are unable to pay because they are disabled, institutionalized or imprisoned. Most of the money will go to governments, not to the children of the men with child support debts, independent analyses show. States are allowed to keep child support money as repayment for welfare previously provided for those children. In some instances, the grown children are supporting their fathers. The rule change illustrates how a politically desirable goal like cracking down on so-called deadbeat dads can have complicated, even counterproductive, effects in practice. “The rule doesn’t look at the fact that the money is mostly interest, the money is going to the state, the kids are usually adults, and it’s leaving the payer with nothing,” says Ashlee Highland, a legal aid attorney who works with the poor of Chicago. Highland says her office has clients in eviction, in foreclosure and unable to pay their bills because of states’ aggressive efforts to collect back child support. Marcial Herrera, 44, has had his bank account frozen repeatedly since 2009, blocking his access to $800 a month in government benefits. Unable to work because of a severe back injury he suffered in 2000, Herrera fell behind on child support. He owes more than $7,000 – not to his 22-year-old son, but to the state of New York, because his son received welfare years earlier. Herrera sought help in court and had his son speak on his behalf, but the judge could not erase the thousands he already owed. “I’m just waiting for them to lock me up,” he says. “I don’t see no other way of me repaying that debt.” A legal aid attorney suggested Herrera collect his benefits by paper check. It costs him $15 to cash the check each month, but at least he can be sure that he will have money to pay his bills. States have had the ability to freeze accounts for years. That’s why people like Herrera rely on paper checks to safeguard part of their income. Starting next March, that option will disappear. The Treasury Department will deposit federal benefits directly into bank accounts or load them onto prepaid debit cards. Either way, state child support agencies will be able to seize all of it. Electronic payments are expected to save the government $1 billion over the next 10 years, the Treasury Department says. It costs the government about $1 to mail a check, compared with about 10 cents for an electronic transfer. The Treasury Department understands that forcing people into direct deposit could deprive them of all of their income, say officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the rule-writing process. States can garnish only 65 percent of benefits before the federal government sends them out. But the limit does not apply once the money is in an account and states ask banks to freeze it, according to a Treasury Department memo obtained by The Associated Press. A Treasury spokesman declined to discuss the policy. Letting state agencies seize the money contradicts the public stance of the Department of Health and Human Services, the federal agency in charge of child support collections. The department does not want states to collect child support so aggressively that poor people lose their only income, spokesman Ken Wolfe says. “Child support enforcement – getting that money and passing it on to parents and children – is a measure to fight poverty, and it doesn’t make sense to accomplish that by impoverishing somebody else,” he says. Wolfe said HHS is developing guidelines for states to “make sure we’re not putting someone into deep poverty as a result of an automatic collection.” He declined to provide details of those plans. Lawyers from HHS agreed with Treasury’s decision to let states seize benefits, according to the Treasury memo. An early version of the Treasury department rule protected people from having their federal benefits frozen by debt collectors – including private collection agencies and states seeking back child support. State child support agencies replied in public comments on the proposed rule that blocking their access to people’s benefits would cause great harm to parents and children receiving child support. HHS research suggests the policy could deepen the hardship for people who collect benefits as well. People who owe large amounts of child support are almost universally poor. Among those owing $30,000 or more, three-fourths had no reported income or income of less than $10,000, HHS says. Many had their earnings interrupted by disability or jail time and are unlikely to repay the child support debt, the government-sponsored research says. The usual methods of collecting back child support often don’t work with the poor. States typically start by garnishing wages. If that doesn’t work, they can suspend driver’s licenses, revoke passports and take away professional credentials. Those measures have little effect on poor people without jobs who rely on federal benefits. They have no wages to garnish and no passports. Many can’t afford a car and do not need a driver’s license. The White House is reviewing the final version of the rule. Its impact so far has been limited, legal-aid lawyers say, because people can still use paper checks. A White House spokeswoman did not respond a request for comment. In a letter sent last week, the National Consumer Law Center and dozens of other groups called on the head of the Social Security Administration to withdraw his support for the rule. “While both current and past due child support orders should be paid,” the letter said, it should not result “in the complete impoverishment of recipients” of federal benefits. The issue has failed to raise alarm in part because most people feel little in common with men labeled deadbeat dads, says John Vail, an attorney with the Center for Constitutional Litigation who provided legal services for the poor for decades. “There’s not a lot of sympathy for deadbeat dads, and justly so,” Vail says. “But everybody’s got limits, and I think people who have never walked a mile in some of those old, worn-out shoes are a little quick to rush to judgment about what that life might be like.” See Uncle Sam will always find a way to put his hand in your pocket… even when your pockets are EMPTY! The states shouldn’t be entitled to outdated payments, interest, none of that. Especially not if the kids are grown. SMH This ish is cray! Source YouTube More On Bossip! Jesus Take The Prophylactic: 5 Year-Old Girl Must Undergo Numerous Tests After Attempting To Blow Up A Used Condom Found On The Playground

Ewww, gross… A 5-year-old girl is getting ready to undergo a battery of tests after she found a condom on her school playground and thought it was a balloon. The condom was found in wood chips on the playground at Acres Green Elementary School in Littleton on Thursday. “One of my daughter’s friends brought it over to my daughter and gave it to her as a gift,” the father told 7NEWS. “At that point, my daughter attempted to blow it up.” After playing with the condom, the girl put it in her pocket. “My concern is not knowing if it was used or not (and) my daughter putting it to her mouth,” the father said. We are not naming the father or girl to protect her. B-b-but wait it gets worse… 7NEWS discovered the condom the girl found on the playground was not the only one. “The school went out as soon as they found out about it and went through the playground and did find a few other items, condoms, out on the playground,” said Randy Barber, spokesman for the Douglas County School District. Says the little girl’s father about the incident: “It’s not something I ever thought I would deal with in my life or even conceive of dealing with,” said the father. “It’s real. It can happen, and I think parents need to step up and really take a stronger role in the grounds of the school and what is going on in the schools.” This is some of the most terrifying isht we ever heard of. Go here to read the rest:

One of the teens involved in the vicious assault that killed 18-year-old Bobby Tillman at a Douglasville house party last November has agreed to plead guilty to murdering him, reports the AJC.com . Emanuel Boykins, the 18-year-old who threw the first punch that started the random, fatal attack on Tillman, has agreed to plead guilty to felony murder. The other three defendants charged with Tillman’s beating death have until 5 pm Wednesday (June to decide if they will plead guilty as well. If they don’t, Douglas County will press ahead with death penalty cases against the men. When Boykins pleads guilty to felony murder on June 29, the malice murder charge will reportedly be dropped. Boykins and the three other defendants — 18-year-old Quantez Devonta Mallory and Tracen Lamar Franklin and Horace Damon Coleman, both 19 — had initially proclaimed their innocence, saying in a television interview that someone else killed Tillman. The accused even sent condolences to Tillman’s family in the interview. Read the full story here.
