Woman charged with sexually assaulting young boy

Veronica M. Allen, 25-year-old woman from Fort Edward, New York, has been arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with a 12-year-old boy. Allen, of Notre Dame Street, was acquainted with the boy before the alleged crime according to police, and is charged with two counts of first-degree rape and one count of first-degree criminal sexual act, all felonies. Police was alerted after the boy told his family about the sex acts earlier this month with Allen. Allen was arraigned in the Village of Fort Edward Court and remanded to the Washington County jail for lack of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. added by: b2r

The great depression of 2010

A great deal of the damage being inflicted in my world, and perhaps in yours, stems in part from very rich people acting with a pointed disregard for the well-being of those who are not rich. In some cases the issues are macro – housing bubbles and banking failures and Wall Street bailouts. In other cases, the problems are micro and very, very personal. Despair looms for too many Americans. We want to hope, we need to hope, we try desperately to hope, but blind faith that things are bound to get better only carry you so far. At some point you have to admit that actual, tangible sources of hope are hard to find. I can’t wait for this godforsaken year to be over, but in truth, I felt that way about 2009 and have precisely zero evidence indicating that 2011 is going to be better. added by: hoosierdaddy

‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows’ Dominates Weekend Box Office

Seventh ‘Potter’ film conjures up a magical $125.1 million debut, best opening in franchise’s history. By Josh Wigler Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1” Photo: Warner Bros. Although Harry, Ron and Hermione have yet to secure all the weapons necessary in their impending battle against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, they’ve already raised a significant amount of funds for the first half of their two-part war against the Dark Lord: To the surprise of absolutely nobody, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” is a magical success. The first half of “Deathly Hallows” premiered in theaters this weekend with all of the explosive wonder that fans have come to expect from the “Harry Potter” franchise. With an estimated $125.1 million earned across roughly 4,125 locations, “Deathly Hallows” enjoyed the best opening weekend of any previous “Harry Potter” film, easily stealing the record from “Goblet of Fire,” which earned $102.7 million in 2005. Not only does “Deathly Hallows” mark a new franchise high, it’s also the sixth-biggest opening weekend of all time, sitting comfortably alongside such cinematic titans as “The Dark Knight” ($158.4 million), “Spider-Man 3” ($151 million), “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” ($142.8 million), “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” ($135.6 million) and “Iron Man 2” ($128.1 million). Despite its successes, however, “Deathly Hallows” was unable to wrest away the record set by “New Moon” for best November weekend of all time, falling short by nearly $20 million. “New Moon” also remains the third-highest-grossing opening weekend of all time, giving “Twilight” the edge over “Harry Potter” — for now, at least, as next summer’s “Deathly Hallows” conclusion is poised to break all kinds of records. “Deathly Hallows” wasn’t the only film in theaters this weekend, not that you would have noticed; the film outpaced the combined total of the four remaining top five competitors by a massive $80.1 million margin. Indeed, the only other movie to hit wide release this weekend was “The Next Three Days,” and despite the star power of Russell Crowe, the Lionsgate thriller landed poorly in fifth place with $6.8 million. The Box-Office Top Five #1 “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” ($125.1 million) #2 “Megamind” ($16.2 million) #3 “Unstoppable” ($13.1 million) #4 “Due Date” ($9.2 million) #5 “The Next Three Days” ($6.8 million) Upcoming Releases Several newcomers are entering the box-office arena as “Deathly Hallows” looks to continue its domination next weekend: Dwayne Johnson returns to kicking butt and taking names in “Faster,” Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi tell fairy tales in Disney’s “Tangled,” Christina Aguilera and Cher dance off in “Burlesque” and Jake Gyllenhaal enjoys “Love and Other Drugs” with Anne Hathaway. Katy Perry Weighs In On VH1 Divas ‘Boobgate’

‘Firework’ singer says she was the one who asked for her promo shots to get a digital breast reduction. By Gil Kaufman Katy Perry in a VH1 “Divas” promo Photo: VH1 Is it really fair for one pop diva to have two different “boobgates” in one calendar year? Well, is it, Katy Perry? First, there was flap over the cleavage-exposing outfit the “Firework” singer wore for her “Sesame Street” appearance opposite Elmo , and now the pop star has weighed in on another scandal involving her ample assets — this one involving VH1’s “Divas Salute the Troops” TV special, which is set to premiere on December 5. Us Magazine reported last week that Perry posed for pinup-girl-style shots for a poster to promote the special that depicted her harnessed into a parachute while wearing a snug camouflage jumpsuit. While the other divas participating in the program — Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Nicki Minaj, Grace Potter of the Nocturnals, Keri Hilson and Paramore’s Hayley Williams — were all shot wearing revealing clothes as well, an unnamed source who spoke to the magazine said Perry’s reps felt her pics were just too much. “Her team thinks her boobs look too big,” the source reported. By Wednesday, VH1 had released a retouched photo that appeared to have digitally reduced Perry’s bust. While prepping for her fiery “Firework” performance at Sunday night’s American Music Awards , Perry sought to clear the air about the digital drama, taking to her Twitter on Friday page to explain what happened. “I was the one who asked VH1 to tone down my DIGITALIZED image on the poster, particularly the size of my chest,” she wrote, admonishing the “silly press” to check their facts. “I don’t have handlers… but someone @VH1 offices is a gossipmonger & thought they could use a little extra press planting the story,” she added . What’s your opinion about Perry getting deflated in her “Divas” promo pic? Tell us in the comments. Related Photos The Evolution Of: Katy Perry Related Artists Katy Perry

Laeticia Hallyday See Through of the Day

I realize I start my posts saying “I don’t even know who this bitch is” on a regular basis. I don’t do that cuz I think I am too cool for these bitches and that I want them to think I think they are insignificant so that they email me requests to fuck me, cuz all girls like to be wanted, but because I actually don’t really remember who these bitches are on any level of fame. I have such a bad memory and bad eye sight that I could be sitting in the front of Alba masturbating and I wouldn’t know who she was, possibly cuz I’d be staring at her mom pussy twitching, but probably because I just can’t retain this kind of information… I do know that this bitch in her see through top is married to some has-been French singer, they live in LA for some reason, and they are always in the paparazzi sites, but I don’t really know what she has done, what she does, or what she’s working on, I just know she’s not wearing a bra and I assume she was some groupie slut who knew Hallyday was near death and could offer her the good life, and really none of that matters cuz she’s essentially a nobody and here are her tits.

Angela Simmons Still on the Beach in a Bikini of the Day

Yes. I am the unofficial Angela Simmons in a Bikini fan site. It’s like I’m posting this shit daily. I think I like her for a few reasons…That she’s black and raised in a white suburb cuz it leads to an identity crisis that usually performs nicely on my dick. I can tell she’s a bigger JAP than the Jewish moms who flew into Miami on their private jets for the weekend to escape the NYC November cold…that her dad’s RUN from RUN/DMC and although I didn’t give a fuck about them at the time…it’s funny to grab my dick lookin’ at pics of his baby like she’s some kind of little dirty whore I found on the street corner…just cuz I like to keep it hood for him…even if he’s totally lost his identity….but most importantly, I am her unofficial Bikini fan site because her tits look pretty teenaged….even if the rest of her doesn’t…They are good enough to focus in on and ignore her thickness…and for that reason and my black girl fetish alone…I am posting another post on her.

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong To Appear In ‘American Idiot’

Rocker will make Broadway debut in play he co-authored. By Mawuse Ziegbe Billie Joe Armstrong at “American Idiot” on Broadway Photo: MTV News Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has a major Broadway production, “American Idiot,” on the legendary New York theater row but the rocker has never actually graced a Broadway stage — until now. Armstrong will appear in the rock opera this week, from Tuesday until Sunday, at the St. James Theatre. The Green Day lead singer, who co-authored “Idiot,” will play St. Jimmy; a role typically helmed by stage performer Tony Vincent, who will be on leave for a family matter. In the days before the production opened in April, Armstrong explained to MTV News that when creating the band’s hugely successful 2004 effort American Idiot, the trio sought to break the mold with their music but still retain some of the themes they’ve championed since their debut in the late ’80s. “Right around 2003, I think, as a band, we wanted to have a monumental moment. We wanted to make a concept album, we knew that,” Armstrong said. “Politically, when we were writing it, American Idiot was trying to make sense out of a big mess. We were trying to find something to believe in. It’s about people becoming lost and trying to find their way. And I think that’s been going through our songs since 1988.” Even though “Idiot” was initially released as an LP, Armstrong said they always envisioned the project as a theater production. “This album is our baby. To see it get put in the hands of other people, it’s great,” he said. “We’ve always thought that somehow there should be some sort of stage version, because that’s what was going on in our heads.” Are you excited for Billie Joe Armstrong’s Broadway debut! ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ Rakes In Box-Office Cash

The long-awaited sequel debuts with $19 million. By Mawuse Ziegbe Michael Douglas in “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” Photo: 20th Century Fox The Box-Office Top Five #1 “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” ($19 million) #2 “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” ($16.3 million) #3 “The Town” ($16 million) #4 “Easy A” ($11 million) #5 “You Again” ($8.3 million) Moviegoers didn’t sleep on the long-awaited follow-up to the 1987 financial drama “Wall Street.” Twenty-three years after banking villain Gordon Gekko first fascinated audiences, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” took the box-office crown. Featuring Michael Douglas as fallen financial titan Gekko, Carey Mulligan as his estranged daughter Winnie and Shia LaBeouf as her fianc

‘Wall Street 2’: The Reviews Are In!

Critics are divided, but one praises Oliver Stone sequel as ‘urgent and strangely necessary.’ By Eric Ditzian Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf in “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” Photo: 20th Century Fox Twenty-three years ago, Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street” finished third at the weekend box office, losing out to “Throw Momma From the Train” and “Three Men and a Baby.” Times, and tastes, have changed. Stone’s sequel, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” is likely to nab this weekend’s top box office slot. No matter that critics have not exactly been kind to the film since its Cannes opening in May, after which Stone was said to have headed back into the edit room in search of a new cut. What he found there should be enough to dispatch the animated owls of “Legend of the Guardians” and secure Stone his first #1 opener since 1999’s “Any Given Sunday.” Here’s what the critics are saying: The Story “Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas, sly and purry as ever) walks away from jail in the movie’s 2001 opening scene, brick-like cellphone in hand. Seven years pass and he’s back on top, with a new book (‘Is Greed Good?’) and untold millions. But the money can’t buy what he wants: a relationship with his estranged daughter Winnie (Carey Mulligan). She lives with her boyfriend Jake (Shia LaBeouf), an up-and-coming young trader who hears Gekko speak and is enamored by his message. Drawn into Gekko’s orbit — the older man hopes to use the younger as a conduit to Winnie — Jake gets caught up in the world of deal making, not necessarily to his benefit.” — Moira Macdonald, The Seattle Times The Performances “Douglas is terrific, and he’s joined by fellow heavyweights Josh Brolin, Eli Wallach and Frank Langella as rival financial titans. But the movie belongs to LaBeouf. Stone loves to show us the convoluted world through the lens of a young striver still clinging to antiquated ideals. LaBeouf’s shark-in-training manages to keep all of the balls in the air with a winning performance that balances moral wranglings with love and ambition.” — Clint O’Connor, The Cleveland Plain Dealer The Director “Using an ingeniously layered visual design, split screens and sinuous mobile cameras that move through scenes like the human sharks who inhabit them, Stone here proves that he’s still a director of bold muscularity. If some of his references hit too squarely on the nose — the shot of a child’s soap bubble standing in for the metaphoric financial version, for example, or the vaguely fascist corporate insignia of a malign CEO played by Josh Brolin — Stone has a knack for pacing, detail and atmosphere that manages to feel authentic and fancifully allegorical at the same time.” — Ann Hornaday, The Washington Post The Dissenters “This time around, the team does show occasional flourishes of the original’s snap and urgency. However, it’s nearly impossible to stay invested in a narrative stuffed with pliable characters whose actions fail to stay true to their natures. That’s particularly glaring in a climax that ties everything up with a hunky-doryness that should have been liquidated faster than a risky hedge fund.” — Randy Myers, San Jose Mercury News The Final Word “The movie’s punch-drunk energy can’t quite make up for what, without giving away any plot points, I can only describe as a third-act lapse into maudlin sentimentality. By the film’s last frame, Gordon Gekko has gone from evil to sympathetic to ambiguous so many times that we no longer trust any twist involving him. But thanks in no small part to Michael Douglas’ evident joy in playing the role, Gekko has now become one of those characters, like ‘The Big Lebowski’ ‘s Dude, who no longer needs a movie to sustain him. Oliver Stone’s account of the events of 2008 is as unsubtle in its charms as Gordon Gekko himself. But like Gekko, the film also feels urgent and strangely necessary.” — Dana Stevens, Slate Check out everything we’ve got on “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
