Help Movieline Caption the First Image from The Dilemma with Vince Vaughn and Kevin James

Ryder co-stars as Kevin James’ cheating wife — a fact that no one in the film knows other than James’ BFF, played by Vince Vaughn. Conflict! Jennifer Connelly shows up too, just because. Click ahead to see the still and do your best to caption four very confused-looking faces.

X-Men: First Class To Be Set In The ’60s And Other Mutant Bombshells

Bryan Singer, director of the two good X-Men movies and producer of the upcoming X-Men: First Class , bravely ventured into Harry Knowles’ clammy nerd thunderdome yesterday and spilled a major amount of beans on the new mutant film. Suffice it to say, it’s not just the casting of January Jones that’s giving First Class a Mad Men -vibe.

Did you read about those scientists who just created a synthetic life form in the lab? Don’t these guys watch movies? Shia LaBeouf Not Complaining About Indiana Jones 5, Says Script is ‘Cool’

Those worried that Shia LaBeouf wouldn’t be happy with Indiana Jones 5 can relax. For the moment, at least. The outspoken star — who happily acknowledged what a failure Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was during Cannes — has given anxious fans an update on the latest sequel. “They’re script writing right now. I got called into Steven [Spielberg]’s office and he pitched a little bit to me and it sounds crazy, it sounds really cool.” Bermuda Triangle , anyone? [ /Film ]

On DVD: Capturing the Gondrys

You know you can trust a filmmaker to be an artist and not a slippery hack when he salts his Hollywood-comedy resume with documentaries about his own family. Of course we already knew Michel Gondry occupies an obsessive, handmade, dreamy moviescape all his own — when he isn’t directing The Green Hornet , that is. But his most recent film, The Thorn in the Heart , is personal in a brand new way. It’s essentially a home movie, and as such is both very Gondrian and exactly what name directors aren’t supposed to spend their time on, especially since the meat of Gondry’s family isn’t sensational or tragic or even terribly funny. Like all home movies, and to some mysterious extent all cinema, The Thorn in the Heart is about time, its unstoppable passage and the residue it leaves behind.

Covert Affairs Picked Up For a Second Season

Just a few episodes into its run, USA Network has already ordered a second season of its female spy series Covert Affairs , which hit a program high of nearly 5.5 million viewers this week. For perspective, over 2 million more people watched Piper Perabo karate kick herself out of a sticky situation than watched Mad Men ‘s season four premiere. Does that mean Piper should start picking out her favorite dress for that Covert Affairs Barbie you’re all hoping to collect next Christmas? [ Deadline ]
