Sarah Silverman’s Boobs: Still Huge, Possibly Fake

Back in August, Sarah Silverman’s cleavage stole the show at the Hollywood Foreign Press banquet, which is an annual event that the world showed an interest in for the first time, all because of Sarah’s boobs. Not unlike the Wicked Witch of the West returning her flying monkeys to their cages, Sarah put her breasts away for a while, figuring their work was done. Thankfully, she unleashed her glorious girls once again at a premiere event in LA last night: Sarah was working the red carpet to promote her new film I Smile Back, in which she plays a suburban mom struggling with addiction and mental illness. Not the kind of indie flick that usually gets a lot of hype online, so perhaps Ms. Silverman knew just what she was doing when she broke out the double-sided nipple tape and slipped into a dress more precarious than anything you’ll see in The Walk. Between showing off her fabulous figure at movie premieres and showing up to the Emmys stoned , Sarah has been elevating her red carpet in a major way recently. Her demo might not be college-aged dudes but now that the Internet has decided to irrevocably link Sarah with boobs and pot, I Smile Back might have the biggest opening weekend since Jurassic World.

Kate Gosselin: Suing Jon Gosselin For Hacking Phone, Stealing Hard Drive!

Kate Gosselin has filed a lawsuit accusing her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, of stealing her hard drive and hacking into her phone and computer … seriously. File this one in the overflowing folder of Kate Gosselin mistakes . The federal lawsuit alleges that Jon Gosselin stole the material for a book authored by Robert Hoffman, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World . How did she fool the world, exactly? We never got to find out. Kate first accused Jon and tabloid writer Hoffman of stealing her hard drive for the book last October, and in turn got the thing pulled from Amazon. Hoffman claimed he found it in a dumpster … seriously. Because Kate argued the material in it was obtained illegally, she sought and was granted a court order blocking it from publication late last year. Now she’s suing. It’s not clear why the issue of Hoffman’s e-book resurfaced now, but she is clearly not happy about it and not about to let it go. Recently, Kate has claimed to have made mistakes in her marriage, and that she is on better terms with Jon these days, though the two are not close. This likely won’t help matters. The couple starred in the TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8 , detailing life with their twins and sextuplets, before they separated in 2009 and later divorced. Allegations of Jon cheating on Kate were the first indication of trouble in paradise, and what followed was one of the uglier celebrity splits on record. She lives in Sinking Spring, Pa., with their eight children, while he lives in Wyomissing, Pa. Both towns are in Berks County, outside Philadelphia.

Good Idea/Bad Idea: A&E Making a Psycho Prequel Series

TCA events bring news that A&E is developing a prequel series to Alfred Hitchcock ‘s Psycho , to revolve around the early life of one Norman Bates and his beloved mother at the infamous Bates Motel. While intriguing, it prompts more than a few questions… like, who wants to watch teenage Norman devolve into filmdom’s most notorious creep on a weekly basis? What gives writer Anthony Cipriano the authority to explore Hitch’s iconic killer? And, most depressing of all to ponder — do people these days even care about Psycho anymore? Granted, the A&E audience is more sophisticated than your average Jersey Shore -obsessed dilettante, and Hitchcock has plenty of fans, even in the age of reality TV. In fact, the sordid melodramatics we’re used to seeing in mainstream television coupled with the elevated profile of dramas on cable TV might actually prepare audiences for such a series; it can’t be any more twisted than, say, American Horror Story , or as grisly as an episode of CSI . The idea of exploring a fictional character’s story in further detail is always intriguing, and often works in surprisingly great ways; see Wicked , for example, which imagined a tenacious but vulnerable humanity for The Wizard of Oz ‘s Wicked Witch, decades after L. Frank Baum wrote her. But there’s a degree to which, as with remakes and adaptations and sequels, it sometimes seems wise to leave good enough (or great, in Psycho’s case) alone. Psycho revealed just enough of Norman Bates’s demented interior to make that film a classic; do we need to see exactly what Mother did to young Norman to mess him up for life? Maybe we do, or maybe we already saw what comes of taking liberties with Hitchcock’s work, without Hitch: of the 1983 and 1986 Psycho sequels, the subsequent 1990 prequel, the abysmal made-for-TV spin-off, and Gus van Sant’s 1998 shot-for-shot remake, none have been especially good. What could help Cipriani’s Bates Motel to avoid repeating history? Take a gander at the unfortunate 1987 Lori Petty/Bud Cort/Jason Bateman pilot-turned-telefilm, also titled Bates Motel , and muse over the possibilities. • A&E Develops ‘Psycho’ Prequel Series: TCA [ Deadline ] Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Report: Mila Kunis to Join James Franco in Sam Raimi’s Oz

Everyone’s favorite Oscar-snubbee Mila Kunis is reportedly set to join Sam Raimi’s Oz, the Great and Powerful , the lonnnnng-gestating Wizard of Oz prequel with James Franco attached as the title character. Kunis would play Evanorah, the young witch-in-training who develops into the Wicked Witch of the East. Of course. Shooting is rumored to begin in July, but I think we all know Raimi’s protracted dawdling really portends an awesome Oz / Sex and the City 3 Memorial Day showdown in 2016. Or something. [ Vulture ]

The Secret Of Oz

It is commonly known in economics academia that The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum in 1900 is loaded with powerful symbols of monetary reform which were the core of the Populist movement and the 1896 and 1900 presidental bids of Populist Democrat William Jennings Bryan. The yellow brick road (gold standard), the Scarecrow (farmers), the Tin Man (industrial workers), the Wicked Witch of the West (Cleveland banker J.D. Rockefeller) and the Wicked Witch of the East (NY banker J.P.Morgan), the Emerald City of Oz (greenback money), the illusory power of the Wizard in the capitol city (who monopolized power through deceit), even Dorothy’s silver slippers (changed to ruby slippers for the color movie version -symbols of Baum’s and Bryan’s belief that adding silver coin to gold coin would provide much needed money to a depression-strapped, 1890s America). Oz is a virtual forest of monetary reform symbolism, done by someone extremely well versed in the Populist monetary reform goals of the period (Baum was a newspaperman and author) – goals which have never changed – they are still valid today, they are needed now more than then. Oz author L. Frank Baum’s symbols represent the solution to relieve the growing economic hardship here in America and the rest of the world. 2009 marks the 70th anniversary of the 1939 MGM release of the The Wizard of Oz movie which has impressed audiences for all those years, imprinting Baum’s cryptic monetary reform symbols on the minds of millions. Money Masters authors Pat Carmack and Bill Still came to the conclusion in late 2008 that now is the time to explain their meaning to the public in a video – the symbols are well known, their meaning is not, yet they hold the key to solving our economic crisis. The familiarity of the Oz symbols to the public makes their explanation a potentially powerful weapon against our modern witches and wizards. So Money Masters Director Bill Still hit the road once again, interviewed experts familiar with the Oz symbolism, and the result is the fascinating new video Secret of Oz. http://www.secretofoz.com/ added by: rodstradamus
