The Latest Megamind Trailer Showcases the Comedy Stylings of Brad Pitt

If you wrote off Dreamworks Animation’s Megamind as a retread of The Incredibles , the latest trailer for the film probably won’t to anything to change your initial opinion. So what could potentially separate Megamind from the DVD copy of The Incredibles sitting on your bookcase? Brad Pitt.

5 Other Films Whose Viral Marketing Should Hijack the News

Michael Cera and Jason Schwartzman took the promotional TV news segment to the next level this week, filling in a whole weathercast in Atlanta for the sake of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World . Thus the crack news producers at Movieline HQ have had a look at the late-summer/early-fall movie slate and worked out a whole newscast just for the studios. Suggestions (and the original video) are after the jump.

Jimmy Fallon Recalls How a Forgotten Will Ferrell Character Influenced his Late Night Performance Art

Jimmy Fallon threw one helluva party last night. You should have been there. And by there , I mean on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon ‘s blog, where the host and his writers threw a virtual viewing party of his show. But instead of just providing commentary of Jake Gyllenhaal doing karate , Jimmy performed an acoustic version of the Bee Gees’ “You Don’t Love Somebody,” fantasized about owning a chain of specialty spinach-dip restaurants and cold-called a fan on speakerphone. Oh, and then he told one behind-the-scenes Saturday Night Live anecdote that has never been heard — at least via NBC’ s live-stream — before.
