Kevin Spacey Gets Charged With Felony Sexual Assault, Responds as Frank Underwood in Bizarre Video

Last year, Kevin Spacey was fired by Netflix and written out of his long-running series on the streaming service after multiple young men came forward alleging that they had been sexually assaulted by the actor. House of Cards carried on without Spacey , but clearly, the Oscar-winner has not moved on from his role as corrupt politician Frank Underwood. Multiple news outlets are reporting today that Spacey has been charged with felony sexual assault in connection with a 2016 incident, in which he allegedly sexually assaulted an 18-year-old aspiring actor. For reasons that defy explanation, Spacey chose to address the charges by posting a video in which he portrays Underwood. “I know what you want,” Spacey begins in Underwood's accent, addressing the audience directly in the character's signature style. “Oh sure, they may have tried to separate us, but what we have is too strong, too powerful. After all, we shared everything, you and I. I told you my deepest, darkest secrets,” he continues in an unsettlingly sinister tone. “I showed you exactly what people are capable of. I shocked you with my honestly, but mostly I challenged you and made you think. And you trusted me, even though you knew you shouldn't. “So we're not done, no matter what anyone says. And besides, I know what you want. You want me back.” Bizarrely, Spacey concludes the video by implying that the Underwood character didn't actually die, as House of Cards claims. “Miss me?” he asks the audience before sauntering off camera. It's anyone's guess as to what may have led Spacey to believe now would be a good time to adopt the swaggering style of a notoriously ruthless and immoral fictional creation. The allegation that resulted in today's charges surfaced last year, when Boston television personality Heather Unruh held a press conference , in which she claimed that Spacey had gotten her son drunk and grabbed his genitals. “My son was a starstruck, straight 18-year-old young man who had no idea that the famous actor was an alleged sexual predator or that he was about to become his next victim,” Unruh said at the time. “When my son was drunk, Spacey made his move and sexually assaulted him.” Something tells us an ill-advised publicity stunt isn't gonna help Spacey get out of this one.

Offset’s Out Of Pocket Pops Publicly Criticizes Cardi, Says She Spitefully Released Kulture’s Pic

Upset on… Offset’s Father Criticizes Cardi B The father of Offset had some things to get off his chest on social media. Michael Woodward who goes by Tony Pla on social media, recently aired out his daughter in law in the midst of her ongoing drama with his son Offset. According to Woodward who’s a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and owns a property management/renovation company, he’s sick and tired of people harshly criticizing his son. Not only that, Offset marrying a “hot headed female” like Cardi B was a recipe for disaster. “People do and say hurtful things about my family members daily; specifically my child. While he ain’t perfect, he is mine and as a parent, I have a duty to protect him,” wrote Michael in an Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity group page. “Right now, I cannot do that. Like most young adults, he doesn’t always do what he’s advised to do but we are talking about a 25-year-old with an unlimited supply of money, women chasing him, people at his disposal, etc. Couple that with a hot headed female that thrives off of social media attention and is on the same financial level as/above him and it’s a recipe for disaster. He also added that there may be other elements at hand that could be exacerbating Offset and Cardi’s issues and notes that there were family emergencies that the public doesn’t know about. “Psychological issues, depression, and drugs that make the situation worse,” wrote Michael. “You all do not know how that effects the rest of the family from late night phone calls, emergency travel, news, media, etc. I did not sign up for this. Everything I do and say is scrutinized, everyone wants a favor to get close to him or Cardi. He also broke down a scary situation where his home was raided by federal agents and added that his daughter came home to a blocked off street where agents were waiting with guns drawn. Most interesting however is when he breaks down what happened when Cardi released that video announcing her split from Offset. Michael says his phone blew up after Cardi not only sent out the video but dropped that first pic of baby Kulture to “spite his son.” “Last week when Cardi posted the divorce video I could not get any work done at work as the phone calls, texts, DMs, etc were non stop. She released the baby picture out of spite. It was supposed to come out in his album. She basically screwed my whole family over that vowed not to release pictures to social media. My whole family is in an uproar right now and I can’t fix it. […] I would not wish this on anyone.” Michael recently attended Offset’s “Set Gala” with Offset’s mom Latabia Woodward.   Do YOU agree that Offset’s dad is out of pocket for speaking on his son’s situation??? Ayanna Pressley Calls Out Democrats For Not Supporting Black Women Candidates

View original post here:

M assachusetts Representative-elect Ayanna Pressley remained true to the message she shared with NewsOne before winning her primary race for Congress: The Democratic Party is at a crossroads and must support Black female candidates to succeed in the future. “I think our campaign is asking the question, ‘Democrats, are we really who we say we are or do we just roll out hashtags and bumper stickers to make for cute slogans’?” she told NewsOne when asked about the party’s failure to support her and other women of color. See Also: Blue Party: Say Hello To The Black Wave At a gathering Tuesday of party donors in Washington, D.C., Pressley talked to the audience about the record high number of Democratic female candidates who won elections in 2018, according to an audio recording of the event obtained by BuzzFeed News . “Now we must push ourselves to ask the tough questions about whether or not we provided them with the institutional support so we can break through more glass and concrete ceilings as rapidly as possible,” she said, adding that the party must invest in candidate diversity, as well as inclusion at the staff level. #NOTheOne is giving shine to all the Black women currently owning the political space this season. It includes several members who are the first African-American women to represent their state or district, including Pressley, Lauren Underwood of Illinois, Jahana Hayes from Connecticut and Georgia’s Lucy McBath . Unlike the other three, Pressley and many other Black female candidates received no support from the Democratic Party. Indeed, the party’s establishment backed Pressley’s primary opponent, 10-term incumbent Rep. Michael E. Capuano . Despite trailing in the polls leading up to the September primary, Pressley won 58.9 percent of the vote to his 41.1 percent. Pressley, who was a Boston city council member, vowed to champion bread-and-butter issues for her constituents, such as improved housing, public health and education, as well as economic development and criminal justice reform. She connected with struggling working-class families by promoting those progressive issues, she told NewsOne. At the gathering Tuesday in the nation’s capital, Pressley told her audience that she discovered a “mandate for hope” while running her own campaign and supporting the campaign of other insurgent candidates. She urged party leaders to take careful note as they navigate a course for the 2020 elections. Drake Took Almost $200K Worth of L’s In Atlantic City, Still Rich As F*ck

More:

Source: Boston Globe / Getty Drake isn’t out here just living his best life, he’s living the fast life as well. According to Page Six , the 6 God hit up Atlantic City and gambled away damn near $200,000 while living it up at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with his crew. The night started out simple enough with the “In My Feelings” rapper rocking the crowd at his Aubrey & The Three Migos tour in Philadelphia. From there he and his entourage made their way to Daer Nightclub for a quick performance before eventually hitting up the gambling spot to try his luck. Unfortunately luck was the only lady not willing to cozy up to Drizzy that night. The source told us the star then headed to a private high-rollers area, which was cleared out for Drake and his crew to have a private party. Sources said that the casino even opened up restaurant Sugar Factory after-hours for the rapper and his party to nosh on “mini burgers, chicken fingers and french fries,” as well as a colossal cocktail dubbed “The Drake,” served up in 60-ounce goblets and composed of the rapper’s Virginia Black whiskey, peach puree, sweet tea, Sour Patch peach gummies and cotton candy. Yeesh. “He stayed at the table,” said a spy, who added that before the sun came up Drake had put down close to $200,000. Insiders said that even with the loss, Drake likely still had a nice chunk of change left from his appearance earlier. This isn’t the first time Drake’s taken an L on big money. Earlier this year the Toronto rapper lost 10K to Quavo on a single half-court shot like it was spare change. Must be nice. — Photo: Getty

Michelle Obama Announces 10-City Book Tour For Candid Memoir

View original post here:

Michelle Obama is going on tour . The former First Lady admits she’s “a little frightened” by how candid she got in her brand new memoir, Becoming but she’s nonetheless proud about her open and honest new memoir. “Over this time that I’ve been out of the White House, I’ve had time to think and reflect for the first time in a long time. I spent some time really thinking about the people, the stories and the experiences that have shaped me and helped me become the person I am today,” Obama, 54, explains in an intimate new video released Wednesday. Mrs. Obama will be hitting 10-cites this fall including stops in Dallas, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., her hometown of Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia and San Jose. “I am proud of what I’ve created. I’m proud because it is candid, it’s honest, it is totally and utterly me. So I’m also a little frightened because it is so candid and honest and open,” she added. The synopsis of the book reads, “IN A LIFE filled with meaning and accomplishment, Michelle Obama has emerged as one of the most iconic and compelling women of our era. As First Lady of the United States of America—the first African American to serve in that role—she helped create the most welcoming and inclusive White House in history, while also establishing herself as a powerful advocate for women and girls in the U.S. and around the world, dramatically changing the ways that families pursue healthier and more active lives, and standing with her husband as he led America through some of its most harrowing moments. Along the way, she showed us a few dance moves, crushed Carpool Karaoke, and raised two down-to-earth daughters under an unforgiving media glare. In her memoir, a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling, Michelle Obama invites readers into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her—from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work, to her time spent at the world’s most famous address. With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it—in her own words and on her own terms. Warm, wise, and revelatory, Becoming is the deeply personal reckoning of a woman of soul and substance who has steadily defied expectations—and whose story inspires us to do the same.” Tickets are on sale at https://www.becomingmichelleobama.com starting at $29.50.

According to her statements in the new book Unnecessary Roughness, written by Hernandez’s double-murder lawyer Jose Baez, Jenkins had no clue whatsoever that the man she was about to marry was gay or had gay thoughts. This excerpt comes via DailyMail : There has been much speculation about Aaron’s sexuality since his death. I can say this: Aaron was very much a man to me, writes Shayanna Jenkins in the forward to Jose Baez’s new book Unnecessary Roughness. ‘I saw no indication that he was gay or homosexual. I wish I had known how he felt, just so we could have talked about it. I wouldn’t have disowned him. I would have been supportive. I can’t fault him if he was feeling that way.’ She goes on to say: ‘When you love someone so much you just want to be there to support them. The fact that he felt he couldn’t come out to me or he couldn’t tell me these things hurts, because we had that bond,’ states Jenkins. ‘I’ve accepted that he may have been the way he was said to be, or that it may not be true. Regardless, I won’t know.’ This woman has been through it.
