The fate of the world is in Brad Pitt’s hands! I, for one, couldn’t think of anyone more capable. Check out the latest clip from World War Z : World War Z Clip – Mother Mature Pitt stars as Gerry Lane, a man who leaves his family behind to travel the world looking for a cure to the zombie pandemic that threatens humanity. Here’s hoping he finds one! And that it’s not something like “be kinder to others,” because that’s not happening. Mirielle Enos, James Badge Dale, David Morse, Ludi Boeken, Matthew Fox, Fana Mokoena, and David Andrews round out the cast, with Marc Forster directing. Prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse on June 21.
So much for not speaking out about her marriage. Within 24 hours of Life & Style running a cover story that details her husband’s alleged affair with family nanny Nicole Cemelli, Teresa Giudice has come out and blasted the allegation as ridiculous. Of Cemelli, Giudice writes on her website: “We’ve known her and her family since she was in high school. No secret. No mystery.” She adds: “Joe and I are on TV, so I get it that our lives are open for everyone and their mother to criticize. What’s unfair and completely disgusting is that you would drag every person we ever speak to into your fake stories. It’s not acceptable to falsely portray our friends, family, business associates, fans, and even acquaintances this way.” Along those lines, Teresa says Cemelli is “freaking out now… getting harassing calls at her work, being stalked on the Internet, and even followed.” And a lawsuit may be filed as a result. “You know we have four daughters that are personally hurt every time you print these lies, but that doesn’t seem to faze you at all. Maybe being sued for defamation finally will.”
If Hollywood trends are anything to go by, the Zombie Apocalypse is nigh. And they’re he fast, scary, diseasey, terrifying type of Zombies. World War Z is the latest in a series of Zombie Apocalypse films. Watch the new World War Z TV spot below: World War Z TV Spot The film is based on the novel of the same name by Max Brooks, and follows a U.N. worker, played by Brad Pitt, as he leaves his family to help find a cure for a Zombie pandemic that threatens to destroy humanity. Marc Forster directs the film, which will hit theaters June 21.
Dr. Joyce Brothers, a popular psychologist who was also known as an author and general media personality, passed away today. She was 85 years old. Publicist Sanford Brokaw broke the said news, confirming that his client died in New York City after a long battle with an unidentified illness. Brothers rose to fame after winning The $64,000 Question in 1955. She went on to a wildly successful broadcast career that included hosting a syndicated talk show where she gave advice to listeners. Dr. Joyce also appeared – typically as herself – on numerous of television programs, from Saturday Night Live to CHiPs , while making cameos in a range of films. Also an author, Brothers wrote a number of best-selling books, including What Every Woman Should Know About Men in 1982 and Widowed . The latter, published in 1992, was inspired by the death of her husband of 40 years, Milton Brothers. Dr. Joyce is survived by her daughter and our thoughts go out to her loved ones.

At Casa Dubrow, Terry asks the most disgusting question a husband can ask a wife. “Do you want to cut my toenails?” Minus 20 . These two are still on the outs following their dinner the night before. She tries to explain why she was hurt the night before and he just goes right on clipping his toenails. Minus 10 . Heather’s issue is that she needs support from Terry instead of jokes. Terry cracks another joke. Get it together, you two! The wine is in and Tamra checks to make sure she’s the center wife on the label. She and Eddie head out to Malibu for a little wine tasting with the girls. Tamra’s jealous of Eddie’s bike and says if there’s anyone he would ever have an affair with, it would be his bike. Vicki climbs into the limo with the Dubrows and the McLaughlins. She’s feeling like a fifth wheel as the only person on the trip without a significant other. Lydia’s kids made a get well card for Slade’s son. Super sweet. Plus 12. Tamra’s ready to do some business. Yes, they’re sampling wine, but they also need to choose new wines for their mail-order business. During the first sampling, the wine goes to Vicki’s head and she insults the winery owner by saying she thought he and his daughter were actually a couple. Minus 13. Heather asks how old the daughter is and she responds “24.” Then Vicki adds injury to insult by telling the girl she looks older than 24. Minus 7 . Jim and Alexis have a new Sky Zone opening in San Diego so she’s not on the Malibu trip. And she wasn’t invited in the first place. They’re going to the opening of their trampoline park for kids without their own kids. Back in Malibu, the group arrives at their hotel and Vicki turns on the tears and whines about the fact that she’s single. Or just there by herself, since she and Brooks are sort of dating but then not? At dinner, there’s more alcohol. Doug asks which wine they’re drinking at dinner and asks who chose it. Tamra raises her hand and Vicki gives her the Evil Eye. Talk turns to the missing dramatic element of the night: Alexis. Lydia says that Alexis misses Gretchen and Gretchen says she doesn’t believe that. To change the subject, Tamra asks Heather if she’ll get to make out with anyone on her upcoming guest role on Hot In Cleveland . Atta girl, Tamra! Way to shift the focus! Plus 8 . Terry starts cracking jokes and Heather’s demeanor changes instantly. Vicki has a new business venture that she hasn’t told Tamra about, one to which she’s focusing most of her attention. Instead of helping sell Wines by Wives, she’s peddling Vicki’s Vodka. It’s day two in Malibu and there are more wines to taste. Eddie and Slade are missing breakfast for cycling. Heather asks if Tamra and Eddie need to have a conversation about the cycling and Tamra tells her that’s an argument she’ll never win. Thus begins a conversation about marriage and compromise and pretty soon Terry spills the beans that after their dinner, he dropped the “D” word in conversation with Heather. Vicki actually gives sage advice when she says that throwing around the word “divorce” builds a wall between a married couple. Plus 10 . Heather just wants what she gives. That’s not too much to ask. Eddie and Slade arrive from their ride just in time to draw the attention away from Terry and Heather. Plus 5 . Instead of tasting and choosing wine, Vicki tries on coats. Then she needs to leave to go to dinner with friends in L.A. even though she’s supposed to be on a business trip. The best thing that could possibly happen for Vicki and Tamra at this point is for the two of them to stop being business partners. Tamra calls Vicki a bitch and Vicki calls Tamra a miserable person. Heather and Terry take a moment to talk about brunch and he apologizes. He knows he screwed up. They agree to hit the pause button on the conversation and pick it up again after she films. Briana brings Troy by Vicki’s office because that’s the only way she feels like she can see her mom. Vicki gives her side of the story about Malibu and definitely angles the conversation so she’s in a good light. Minus 8 . Tamra and Eddie go to dinner to discuss the fitness studio. Tamra has trouble balancing two businesses. She also thinks she has an anger issue given her latest outburst with Vicki. Angelina Jolie has gone public with her choice to undergo a preventative double mastectomy. In Tuesday’s New York Times Op-Ed section, Jolie revealed the difficult medical decision she made after discovering she carried the BRCA1 gene which leads to an increased risk in breast and ovarian cancer. Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, passed away at the young age of 56 after battling cancer for over a decade. As Jolie said in her article, We often speak of “Mommy’s mommy,” and I find myself trying to explain the illness that took her away from us. They have asked if the same could happen to me.” Jolie’s doctors estimated her breast cancer risk at 87% and ovarian cancer risk at 50%. The double mastectomy has now reduced her risk to 5%. She privately began the surgeries in early February and has just finished in late April. She credits longtime partner Brad Pitt as always being by her side and helping find moments to laugh throughout the difficult process. Jolie underwent her surgeries at the Pink Lotus Breast Center. Her choice to open up about the double mastectomy was to help shed a light on cancer prevention for other women around the world. “On a personal note, I do not feel any less of a woman. I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.” That sounds like the Angelina we know and love!
Angelina Jolie is not married, she says, despite a curious ring switcheroo. The actress sparked speculation when she swapped her $500,000 diamond engagement ring for a simple gold band during a humanitarian trip to the Congo. This was logically done so it wouldn’t get lost or stolen , but given that this is Angelina Jolie, speculation ran wild that she married Brad Pitt on the down-low. Not so. She denied this personally yesterday, which means one thing: Across the U.S., gossip magazines still have endless subject matter.
Angelina Jolie says she’s thinking about giving up acting to be a stay-at-home mom, but hasn’t she been semi-retired for a while now? Jolie, who can generate headlines simply by pursing her pillow lips a certain way, started the Internet buzzing when she told Britain’s Channel 4 News (via the Huffington Post ): “I think I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years…too much to manage at home.” Jolie also told the British broadcast concern that if her acting career “went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children.” But after looking at her work schedule as of late, I can’t help but think that she’s already begun saying her goodbyes. Her last films were released in 2011 and, technically speaking, she didn’t appear in either of them: She wrote and directed In The Land of Blood and Honey , and she was the voice of Tigress in Kung Fu Panda 2 . In other words, she was last seen onscreen in the flesh in 2010. Yes, she’s currently shooting Maleficent (and her four-year-old daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt reportedly has a minor role in it), but that doesn’t hit screens until 2014. She’s also rumored to be talking Tigress again in Kung Fu Panda 3 , but that isn’t expected out until 2016. According to IMDb , she’s also working on a project with La Femme Nikita filmmaker Luc Besson slated for 2013, and that Cleopatra and, sadly, Salt 2 may be in the works, but those projects are more tentative. If Jolie does follow through on her intent to retire when her kids hit their teens, she doesn’t have a lot of time for smoldering close-ups. The eldest of her six kids, Maddox is 11, and if you’ve read any Bret Easton Ellis , you know that the kids of Hollywood royalty grow up faster than their civilian counterparts. The good news is that, with her marriage to Brad Pitt in the works , Jolie won’t have to worry about fading from the public’s short-term memory if she does retire from the screen for a while. She’s one of those rare actresses whose life makes a more interesting tale than some of the movie choices she’s made. Marvel’s Iron Man 3 which is set for a May 2013 release and starring Robert Downey Jr. , Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce , Ben Kingsley, Rebecca Hall and Jon Favreau, may seem a long way off, but fans are getting a peek at the action/adventure/sci-fi with four new pics. Directed by Shane Black, the story centers on Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) who goes up against a powerful enemy: The Mandarin. New images depict the Iron Patriot armor (main photo), Rebecca Hall looking a bit scruffed up, Downey, Jr. as Stark in an immaculate goatee and a iron mask in-hand. After an illustrious career playing intimidating characters, Ray Liotta got to see how the other half lives (and begs for mercy) in Killing Them Softly .
