Pete Davidson Is in a "Dark Place," Worrying Friends and Family [Report]

Last week, Pete Davidson threatened suicide in an Instagram post that left the comic’s family, friends, and millions of fans deeply concerned. The situation was so dire that Davidson’s most recent ex, Ariana Grande, attempted to come to his aid. “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore,” Davidson wrote. “I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember I told you so,” Grande responded to the comment, indicating that she had rushed to 30 Rockefeller Plaza where SNL is shot in order to lend support to Davidson. However, it seems the singer didn’t get any further than the lobby, as security refused to allow her up to the studio. “I’m not going anywhere if you need anyone or anything,” she tweeted. “I know u have everyone u need and that’s not me, but I’m here too.”   Unfortunately, it appears that Davidson’s condition has not improved in the days since his desperate cry for help. In fact, insiders tell TMZ that the situation has only deteriorated . One source tells the site that Davidson believes “the whole world is against him.” “He believes even his friends and colleagues don’t care if he lives or dies,” TMZ reports. Insiders say Pete has reached out to the people in his life — but he’s also “lashed out.” He’s reportedly stated on several occasions that if he were to take his own life, his friends and colleagues “wouldn’t care.” Pete’s friends and family are reportedly doing everything they can for the comic, but they fear it’s not enough. Ariana Grande: I Wish It Was Christmas Today Earlier this week, Ariana Grande joined Jimmy Fallon and several former SNL cast members to recreate one of the show’s best-loved holiday sketches for The Tonight Show . Bizarrely, the sketch became a source of controversy, as many felt it was inappropriate for Ariana to take part, as SNL is such a huge part of Pete’s life. There’s no word yet on how Pete reacted to the sketch, or if he’s even aware of it — but it’s probably best for those in Davidson’s life to tread lightly at the moment. Charisma Carpenter has some real loyal fans despite being 100 years old all because she was on a nerd targeted show in the 90s. If you aren’t a 40 year old virgin, you probably never fucked with Buffy the Vampire Slayer the Sarah Jessica Michelle Gellar Parker years, but you may know some people who did. I knew a guy who was fucking obsessed with Buffy, a total awkward virgin who ended up becoming a blogger, the old school fan boy way…worshipping these sluts like they matter… He would probably cum himself watching the show no hands…not quite a talent when you’re that autistic and socially awkward. Ever since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry back in May, the former actress has been the toast of London. In fact, you could call her the Queen of the British Empire, were it not for the fact that that title is already held by an iconic nonagenarian who doesn’t seem to keen on the idea of relinquishing it anytime soon. Of course, barring a series of violent tragedies that would make George R.R. Martin blush, Meghan will never actually be queen, as her husband is third in line for the throne. Prince William, however, will likely wear the crown one day, which means Kate Middleton will join him as one of the world’s two most visible monarchs. And if recent reports are to be believed, Kate is very much looking forward to the time when she can steal her spotlight back from Meg. Yes, the news of Meghan’s pregnancy came just a few months after her wedding, and insiders say Kate feels as though she’s been shoved to the margins. Of course, patience is Kate’s best-known virtue — she didn’t earn the nickname “Waity” for nothing — but when it comes to reclaiming her spot as the queen bee of Kensington Palace, Kate is not biding her time. Royal watchers have noticed that the Duchess of Cambridge has been attending more events, posing for more pics, and rocking more daring fashions in recent weeks. “A couple of years ago, you might have seen her being a little bit timid,” Royal expert Susan E. Kelley recently told Vanity Fair . “Now, she seems like she’s in a more take-charge position,” Kelley added. “I’m beginning to see the person who’s going to be queen emerging.”   Of course, given the timing of Kate’s emboldened stance toward the media, it’s not hard to see why so many have jumped to the conclusion that she’s responding to the increased attention toward Meghan. Insiders have noted that in many ways, Meg is the ideal royal spouse, having entered the role with years of media experience and a long history of philanthropic work. British tabloids have described the relationship between Meghan and Kate as a rivalry, but that seems inaccurate. Even if Kate is stepping her game up in response to the increase in attention toward Meghan, that doesn’t mean she feels threatened by the former Suits star. Stan Lee Dies; Marvel Comics Creator Was 95

Stan Lee, arguably the best known comic book creator of all-time, passed away Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 95 years old. Lee’s daughter confirmed this very sad piece of news to TMZ. The website writes that Lee was rushed from his home in Hollywood Hills to the aforementioned facility, although it’s unclear at this time what medical condition prompted the emergency. The legendary writer, however, had suffered numerous illnesses over the last year or so, including a semi-recent bout of pneumonia and a number of vision issues. He had receded from the public eye for most of 2018 as a result. Lee started out in the comic business back in 1939. Along with Jack Kirby, he co-founded Marvel in 1961 via the introduction of The Fantastic Four. He went on to create Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Iron Man and The Avengers, among many other notable, memorable and beloved characters. Lee was always revered in the comic book universe, but he became a true pop culture icon about a decade ago after the success of the first Iron Man movie. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has basically taken over the movie world in that time and Lee has made a cameo in every Marvel film to date. In 2009, the Walt Disney Co. bought Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion. Three years later, The Avengers grossed $1.52 billion worldwide take and two years after that, Lee acknowledged his important role not just in the entertainment industry — but in the world as a whole. “I used to think what I did was not very important,” he told the Chicago Tribune in April of 2014, adding at the time: “People are building bridges and engaging in medical research, and here I was doing stories about fictional people who do extraordinary, crazy things and wear costumes. “But I suppose I have come to realize that entertainment is not easily dismissed.” A native of Manhattan, Lee wrote, art-directed and edited most of Marvel’s series and newspaper strips. He also wrote a monthly comics’ column, “Stan’s Soapbox,” signing off with his signature phrase, “Excelsior!” Lee played a vital role as Marvel transitioned into TV during the 1980s, serving as narrator on animated series like Incredible Hulk and X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men, and executive producing the 1990s animated series Spider-Man. In 2002, Lee published an autobiography, Excelsior! The Amazing Life of Stan Lee . Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse  will be the next installment of the Marvel film franchise and will be released next month; it’s very safe to assume there will be a dedication to Lee in the credits. The writer’s survivors include a daughter, J.C., and younger brother, Larry Lieber, who works as a writer and artist for Marvel. Another daughter, Jan, died in infancy. Lee’s wife, Joan, was a hat model whom he married in 1947. She passed away last year. Said J.C. to TMZ shortly after confirming her dad’s death: “My father loved all of his fans. Lexus has just unveiled an extended-length version of Long Live The King, its upcoming Super Bowl commercial for the 2018 Lexus LS 500 F SPORT – a spot in which Chadwick Boseman reprises his title role from Marvel Studio’s highly-anticipated film, Black Panther. What did you think of the ad? Best Super Bowl Commercial ever? Here’s more on the commercial: As King T’Challa (AKA Black Panther), Bosemen is making history as Marvel Studios’ first ever Black lead in a film and has already broken Marvel Studios’ previous pre-sale box-office records. Noteworthy as well is the gender and cultural diversity of the creative team behind Lexus’ Super Bowl work, Walton Isaacson. As the brand’s agency of record for Black, Hispanic and LGBTQ communications, Walton Isaacson spearheaded the partnership between Lexus and Marvel Studios and developed a marketing effort that spans Lexus product integration in the Black Panther film; the creation of the graphic novel, Black Panther: Soul of a Machine; a star-studded Comic Con launch event; forthcoming New York Fashion Week activations; and several digital, print, and in-market extensions to support the program. The Super Bowl spot, directed by Samuel Bayer, and featuring the hit track “Legend Has It” from famed hip-hop duo, Run the Jewels, is filled with intense action sequences performed by actors and stunt people from the Black Panther movie. Die-hard fans will note the attention to canon detail in the portrayal of Black Panther’s Dora Milaje guards, and snippets taken from the film itself. Adam Lind: Released From Jail as Chelsea Houska Moves to Change Daughter’s Name

It’s been a rough year for Adam Lind, and sadly, the Teen Mom 2 star’s destructive behavior has taken a severe toll on his loved ones. His downward spiral began back in June when Lind tested positive for methamphetamines  just prior to a scheduled visit with his youngest daughter. Sadly, the incident did not serve as a wake-up call for Lind, and his life appears to have been on a steady decline ever since. Last month, Lind was arrested on domestic assault charges after allegedly attacking an ex-girlfriend. Earlier this week, Lind was arrested again for violating an order of protection against a different ex. While he was behind bars, another restraining order against Lind was granted to former girlfriend Stasia Huber. Earlier today, Lind was released from prison, but as you might’ve guessed, his legal issues are far from over. “His bail was dropped because he agreed to show up at court for his next hearing,” a court officer told Radar Online. Yes, if there’s an upside to having constant court dates, it’s that you can appease the legal system simply by promising to come back when you’re supposed to. That’s the good news for Lind. The bad news is that his first baby mama, Chelsea Houska, is reportedly taking steps to change her daughter’s name from Lind to Lind-DeBoer. Now, it’s possible the move has nothing to do with Lind’s latest legal issues. But we doubt it. And hey, we suppose it’s also possible that Lind will take the move in stride and handle the blow to his ego in a mature, level-headed fashion. But that also seems like a major long-shot. And unfortunately, that’s probably just the beginning of Adam’s troubles with Chelsea. The parents of 8-year-old Aubree are due back in court for a custody hearing on January 8. At that time, it’s expected that Chelsea will request further restrictions on Lind’s visitation rights. She’s already arranged it so that his visits with Aubree are supervised and he’s no longer permitted to drive with his daughter in the car. It’s almost like smoking meth and assaulting women will make people question your parenting abilities. Go figure.
