A dam Trammell ’s father is furious that the criminal justice system allowed two cops who repeatedly shocked his mentally ill son with stun guns last year will not face justice. SEE ALSO: Report: Most Victims Shot By Cops Are Mentally Ill Or In Crisis The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office announced on Friday that there will be no charges against two police officers in the death of 22-year-old Trammell. District Attorney John Chisholm found “no basis to conclusively link Mr. [Adam] Trammell’s death to actions taken by police officers.” “This is a nightmare. I can’t believe this. I think those people should resign. The D.A. and the chief of that police department,” said Trammell’s father, Larry Trammell , according to USA Today . Two West Milwaukee police officers who “tortured Adam Trammell to death” will not be charged. Trammell, who was mentally ill, was naked in the shower when police broke down his door, tased him 18 times, broke his rib, and gave him a black eye. https://t.co/ABgDOk6Jf7 — Fair Punishment Project (@FairPunishment) April 27, 2018 The two officers responded to a call on May 25 at the apartment complex where Trammell lived. A neighbor was concerned that he was experiencing a psychotic episode. Another neighbor who lived in the unit below Trammell’s apartment told the officers that water was leaking through the ceiling. The cops broke down Trammell’s door and found him naked, taking a shower. Bodycam footage showed Trammell confused but calm when the cops confronted him. The officers used a Taser 15 times over a 30-minute period after he struggled to prevent them from taking him out the shower. Trammell ultimately lost consciousness, and the officers handcuffed him. He wasn’t breathing and had no pulse when the paramedics put him into the ambulance. Trammell was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at the hospital. “These police tortured Adam Trammell to death,” said Robin Shellow , a lawyer representing his family. “This was not ‘help.’ They were not protecting or serving anyone. Naked, cold, confused, alone in his own bathroom and crying for Jesus to take him, he needlessly suffered.” It’s no surprise that the cops are back on duty, without fear of prosecution. “If you are mentally ill and black, you already have two strikes against you if you come into contact with law enforcement,” wrote civil rights attorney Ben Crump , referring to the spate of high-profile police killings of mentally ill African Americans. In the article he wrote for CNN, Crump lamented a third strike, based on a U.S. Supreme Court decision on April 2. The justices ruled that an Arizona police officer who shot and killed a woman with a history of mental illness could not be sued. The court said the officer was entitled to qualified immunity. Kailyn Lowry is obviously done putting up with Chris Lopez’s BS. Lowry and Lopez welcomed a son together back last year, and at first, it looked as though Chris would step up and fulfill his fatherly duties. While he was nowhere to be seen throughout the pregnancy, Lopez made a surprise appearance in the delivery room and even drove Kailyn and baby Lux home once they left the hospital. Despite frequent rumors that Lopez wanted nothing to do with his son, Kail remained hopeful that he would experience a change of heart once the baby arrived. And she was right … for a while. Unfortunately, it seems that Chris’ flood of fatherly feelings was short-lived. According to Kailyn, Lopez is a deadbeat dad these days and has little to do with the life of his infant son. But as you can see, that doesn’t stop him from posturing on Instagram. Lopez posted the above photo of himself with Lux earlier this week. So, it seems he does spend some time with the boy – but according to Kail, it’s not nearly enough. “Don’t be an Instagram parent,” Lowry tweeted in response to Lopez’s pic. Not surprisingly, Chris took issue with her comment, and he immediately fired back: “Buuuut a person who literally made a living off of putting their kids on tv and social media but hey who am I to talk,” he replied. “Honestly not worth my time lol,” he continued, later adding: “I might have to violate someone today.” Needless to say, Lopez-Lowry relations aren’t exactly going smoothly these days. And sadly, poor Lux is caught in the middle. Obviously, at this point, Kail has proven herself a committed parent, so we’re inclined to side with her in a dispute like this one. Still, hammering her baby’s father for the benefit of her millions of social media followers isn’t a great look. Worse, all of this is now a matter of public record. Even if Kail deletes the tweet, she’s famous to the point that – once they’re old enough – her kids will likely have no trouble finding an archive of everything she said online. Oh dear. Lamar Odom is reportedly back at it again, making the rounds and indulging himself in Las Vegas. What happens in Vegas does not, in fact, stay there, and multiple witnesses are describing exactly what they saw go down. Is he spiraling out of control again? The world remembers how, just a few years ago, Lamar Odom suffered a horrifying medical crisis that many feared would claim his life. He was rushed from the Vegas brothel to the hospital. By mistake, Khloe was initially told that he had died . The situation was so dire that Khloe asked a judge to bring their divorce to a grinding halt so that she could make any medical decisions necessary. And so that she could supervise his recovery — which she eventually did, practically nursing him back to health. Between that and major health scares like Lamar’s collapse at a night club late last year, you’d think that he’d be being careful. Unfortunately, it sounds like he’s putting himself at risk again. RadarOnline reports that, per multiple eyewitnesses who spilled everything to them, Lamar Odom is back in Vegas . And it doesn’t sound like a social visit. They report that Lamar returned to Vegas for gambling last week, and that his indulgence lasted multiple days and spanned two different casinos. One was the Wynn Hotel and the other was SLS. And they describe the reports of eyewitnesses. The first, who saw him on March 4th, describes spotting him nearby. “He was right at the table next to me gambling.” They went on, saying how casually they were able to engage with him. “He was very easy to approach.” Another who saw him on March 5th. “I was kind of surprised to see him in Vegas after the events of his last foray out there that nearly cost him his life.” This isn’t the first time that Khloe’s ex has been spotted tempting fate. Reportedly, Lamar was drinking on New Year’s . Drinking alcohol can be fun, but surely it’s not worth risking your life. But it is his life to throw away. Recently, he appeared to throw shade at Khloe over her pregnancy. That did not go over well, and prompted Kim Kardashian to slam Lamar by reminding him of his brush with death in Vegas. One might wonder if Lamar is in Vegas purely to defy the Kardashians. But it’s important to note that Lamar was, per the reports, just gambling. The former NBA player wasn’t accused of drinking or anything else here. And while Lamar did have a health crisis in Vegas, it was not because he was gambling. It’s possible that some fans are overreacting because they worry about his health. But … someone has to worry about his health, right? And since Khloe Kardashian is happily with Tristan Thompson and eagerly expecting the birth of their daughter and being a happy family together, we’d say that she has her hands a little too full. The procedure was reportedly performed in Beverly Hills by one of the country’s top surgeons. A source close to Carey, told Page Six that “Mariah has always been proud of her curves, but this summer, as her Caesars Palace residency came to a close, and then she went on tour with Lionel Richie, she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from body shamers.” The report goes into further detail about what initially caused Carey’s weight gain, citing increased late-night eating and cocktails after shows with current boyfriend and back-up dancer Bryan Tanaka. Things are apparently looking up after the surgery, as the source says “Mariah underwent the procedure about a month ago, and she is already seeing some good results, and she feels a lot better.” Meanwhile, just last week Carey officially parted ways with her controversial manager Stella Bulochnikov after almost three years of working together. Currently boyfriend Bryan Tanaka has taken over the day-to-day responsibilities of being Carey’s manager. The soul singer filed divorce papers on September 15, citing “irreconcilable differences,” and “inappropriate marital conduct that such further cohabitation would be unsafe and improper,” according to the outlet. Scott, 45, married Mike Dobson , 49, in a June 2016 secret ceremony much to the surprise of her fans and supporters. The grounds listed in Scott’s divorce petition could range anywhere from meaning cruel treatment, infidelity, verbal or physical abuse or sexual impropriety, according to Tennessee law, where the couple exchanged their vows. Dobson, who spoke to BOSSIP, maintains none of the above happened in their relationship. He told the outlet that he was “blindsided” by the news, even though court documents listed the couple’s separation date as September 5. “She’s an evil woman,” Dobson said in the interview. “I’m telling you. It’s like what Jill Scott wants, Jill Scott gets. People are in her ear, and if someone comes in to challenge the dumb s**t, they made me be the bad guy and that got me outta there.” Dobson also said that the couple decided to live separately while they worked on their marriage, agreeing to continue wearing their wedding rings. “She’s got issues. There’s no men in that family, there’s only women. And when a man comes in, it’s like a challenge,” he continued. On the divorce petition, Scott listed her occupation as a writer and PhD student, marking Dobson as unemployed. He told BOSSIP that Scott tried to smear his name by doing so, saying he’s maintained a job with the city of Atlanta since 2011. She also asked the court to enforce an existing prenup agreement between the couple. Dobson also warned that he’s geared up to fight dirty. “She likes to emasculate men – that’s her problem,” he said. “I told her, she’s from Philly, but I’m from New York, and if you want to try to disgrace me, try to slander me, I can fight dirty.” This is Scott’s second divorce. She was previously married to Lyzell Williams from 2001-2007. She shares an eight-year-old son named Jett from her previous relationship with drummer John Roberts . For months now, fans of the Duggar family have been expressing their concerns about Derick Dillard’s health . There’s been no official word on what’s ailing Derick, but fans have noticed that the soon-to-be father of two appears to have lost a good deal of weight in a short amount of time, and often appears pale and tired. At first, the Duggars refused to acknowledge the controversy, but while Jim Bob likes to exercise complete control over his family’s privacy, he likes ratings even more, so it looks like we’ll finally start getting the inside scoop on the curious case of Derick Dillard. The first promos for the new season of Counting On hinted that Derick would confront his health problems after a series of scary incidents. The preview shows Derick vomiting while running, an episode that appears to have resulted in an emergency visit to the doctor. “It feels great to be home and run like I used to,” Derick tells the camera at one point, “but it is difficult sometimes.” Jill is seen explaining that physical exertion makes her husband “gaggy.” The strange symptom, coupled with Derick’s rapid and unexplained weight loss, has left fans worried. Adding to the problem is the fact that Derick’s appearance has changed not only as a result of his weight loss, but also because of extensive oral surgery. In late 2015, Derick had several bones in his face broken as part of an orthodontic procedure. The 27-year-old has been wearing braces ever since. Amidst all of these changes, the Dillards spent several months in El Salvador , performing missionary work in one of the Central American nation’s poorer sectors. So it’s possible that a series of major life changes have simply manifested themselves in Derick’s appearance and there’s no one thing majorly wrong with the reality star and substitute teacher. Fidel Castro, the controversial Cuban revolutionary turned head of state, has passed away at the age of 90. Castro brought Communism to Cuba and led the island nation through a tumultuous five decades, partially retiring from public service and handing the reins to his brother Raul in 2008. Raul’s administration issued an official statement confirming Fidel’s death just moments ago. One of the few Marxist-Leninist leaders of the Western world, Castro was a widely distrusted figure in the US. He remained ideologically at odds with the American government throughout his time in office, first Prime Minister of Cuba (from 1959 to 1976), then as the nation’s president (from 1976 to 2008). Castro remained in power as First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba until 2011. Throughout the majority of Castro’s reign, the United States government enforced a trade embargo with Cuba, a result of both anti-Communist sentiment in the States and lingering wariness over the Bay of Pigs invasion of 1961 and the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. Both incidents served as defining events of President John F. Kennedy’s brief time in office and helped to characterize Castro as a dangerous military presence operating just off the coast of Florida in the mind’s of America’s populace. However, the reality of Castro’s reign was very different from the way his regime was portrayed in the American press. Derided as an autocrat who trampled civil rights throughout his reign by some, Castro is still hailed as a hero by many who have lived under his power for the bulk of the past 60 years. He cut a larger-than-life figure with his military fatigues and ubiquitous cigar and for many, his image is inextricably linked with the caricature of authoritarian strongmen. Tensions between Cuba and the US ran so high in the decades after Castro assumed power that was only when the Obama administration began to lift regulations in 2015 that Americans were once again permitted to freely travel to and from Cuba. Several embargo restrictions remain in place, and the future of relations between the two nations remains very much in question. Castro’s legacy will no doubt be debated among historians and political scientists for many years to come. But regardless of one’s feelings on the iconic leader’s politics, he was, and will no doubt remain, one of the recognizable political figures of the 20th Century.
