Here Are Nipsey Hussle’s Final Words After He Was Fatally Shot

M ore details are coming out about  Nipsey Hussle who was fatally shot on March 31 outside of his Marathon Clothing store. Hussle’s final words were, “You got me.” The Los Angeles Times also reports on Thursday, “The grand jury panel returned a six-count indictment charging Holder with one count of murder, two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He is being held in lieu of $6.5-million bail. If convicted, he faces life in state prison. He has pleaded not guilty.” According to the transcripts, Holder was upset over snitching accusations. The New York Daily News reports, Deputy District Attorney John McKinney said, “Mr. Holder got out of the car, immediately walked up to the group where Mr. Hussle, or Mr. Asghedom was, and they had a conversation. That conversation is important because that conversation had something to do with Mr. Asghedom accusing Mr. Holder of snitching, which in the gang world is a very serious offense.” According to testimony from witness Herman Douglas, Hussle allegedly said, “Man, you know, they got some paperwork on you.” Douglas also testified, “Nipsey was more or less trying to, trying to look out for the dude, was trying to help him. Like basically warning the dude, like, you know, ‘They got some paperwork on you. I haven’t read the paperwork, but you know, you got to watch your back.’” Holder reportedly got frustrated and asked Nipsey if he ever snitched. Hussle “calmly waved Holder off” according to a woman who was with the alleged killer. Holder left but came back soon after and killed the rapper. Holder was a failed rapper whose street name was Shitty Cuz. The 29-year-old was arrested on April 2. He was found in Bellflower, California, which is located in southeast Los Angeles. He has been charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He is facing life in prison. #BREAKING : The suspect in the shooting death of musician Nipsey Hussle has been captured in Bellflower, authorities say. pic.twitter.com/5P9ItJM3kH — CBS Los Angeles (@CBSLA) April 2, 2019   Rest in power, Nipsey Hussle. Source: CHRISsadowski / Getty Texas Mother Locked Up For Killing 3-Year-Old Son In A Game Of “Chicken” According to NY Daily News , a Texas mom allegedly played a game of chicken with her three kids and accidentally ran over & killed her 3-year-old son. Lexus Stagg was charged with criminally negligent homicide after her “3-year-old child ran behind her vehicle as she backed out of her parking spot,” on June 11th. Surveillance video from a nearby apartment complex allegedly shows Stagg getting into her SUV before driving in reverse. As her three kids began running after her, she slowly drove the SUV forward. While two kids evaded the vehicle, the 3-year-old got stuck beneath a tire. A neighbor of Stagg, expressed his grief over the death of the little boy, but made it clear that Stagg was not a great mother. The neighbor recalls: “I felt bad because those parents, they were never there, they were kind of negligent..The kids were always out here without supervision.” Two of Stagg’s older children have been placed with relatives while Stagg was arrested and faces a prison term of up to 10 years, if found guilty.

Kanye West & Pusha T Hit With A Lawsuit Over Uncleared Sample

Original post:

Source: Brian Ach / Getty Looks like Kanye and Pusha T might have to cough up some hard earned dough for not clearing a music sample for Pusha’s 2018 album, Daytona . According to Times Daily , FAME Enterprises Inc. has slapped the controversial producer with a lawsuit claiming that Pusha’s “Come Back Baby” contains a sample of George Jackson’s ’72 song “I Can’t Do Without You.” George Jackson recorded “I Can’t Do Without You” at FAME before 1972, which makes it exempt from the Copyright Act of 1972, according to the filing. The suit lists defendants as West, Pusha-T and UMG Recordings, which owns the Def Jam Recordings label and sub-label of Def Jam Recordings. Def Jam and GOOD also are listed as defendants. The plaintiffs were really specific with their allegations too while throwing a little shade at both Kanye and Pusha T for jacking beats. The suit states “Come Back Baby” lasts 3 minutes, 27 seconds with the Jackson sample comprising 1 minute, 13 seconds of it. “This means that over 35 percent of the entire sound recording ‘Come Back Baby’ is comprised of unauthorized, unlicensed samples of ‘I Can’t Do Without You,’” the suit declares. It further states that “Come Back Baby” is “about drug addiction and the money made from selling drugs,” and that the plaintiffs would not have authorized licensing the song “for such a use under any circumstances.” The filing also asserts, “Defendants have a pattern and practice of willfully sampling sound recordings without consent or permission.” Though FAME Enterprises Inc. is demanding that this trial go to the jury, we have a feeling Yeezy might just up and decide to settle this out of court for an undisclosed amount of money.

The Shooter: 8th Defendant In Tekashi 6ix9ine Case Pleads Guilty

Excerpt from:

Source: Michael Campanella / Getty The Feds have Tekashi69 and his affiliates in their sights , and they continue to drop. Another defendant in the conspiracy case against the Brooklyn rapper has pleaded guilty. By the reports, this guy was “The Shooter.” Reports Complex : On Monday, Kintea “Kooda B” McKenzie, became the eighth defendant in the 6ix9ine racketeering case to plead guilty, according to court documents. The defendant appeared in Manhattan District Court for his alleged connection to the shooting of Chief Keef outside the W Hotel in Times Square. McKenzie pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Kooda allegedly accepted a $10,000 payment from 6ix9ine for carrying out the shooting in June 2018. In his guilty plea in January, 6ix9ine admitted to his role in the attack and named McKenzie as the shooter. However, in February, Kooda was granted bail despite the mounting evidence against him. Unlike many of the other defendants in the case, McKenzie is not suspected of being a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. Interestingly, despite being named the shooter, McKenzie was granted bail earlier this year. “Today, Kintea McKenzie admitted his responsibility for a brazen shooting in bustling Times Square,” U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said in a statement. “In coordination with Tekashi 6ix9ine and other Nine Trey gang members, McKenzie arranged to have another individual shoot at a rival gang member. We continue our daily work with our law enforcement partners to keep our communities safe and to vigorously investigate acts of violence committed by gang members.” Reportedly, the Feds pegged McKenzie to the scene via DNA evidence found on a discarded water bottle. Yeah, if the Feds want you, and you actually did dirt, you may want to take that plea deal. — Photo: Getty

Lonnie G. Bunch III Makes History As Smithsonian’s First Black Secretary

View post:

E ducator and historian Lonnie G. Bunch III has dedicated his career to the preservation of important facets of American history. After leading the creation and development of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Newark native will now serve as the Smithsonian Institution’s 14th secretary; making him the first Black person to be appointed to the position, NPR reported. Smithsonian names Lonnie Bunch III as new secretary, the first African American to lead the institution https://t.co/9e9BhKCGCW — The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) May 28, 2019 Bunch was selected by the Board of Regents to take on the role. He succeeds David Skorton who has served as the institution’s secretary since 2015. In his new position, Bunch will be responsible for steering the direction and driving growth for the Smithsonian as well as overseeing the daily operations of all of its libraries, museums, and the National Zoo. He began his journey with the Smithsonian nearly 30 years ago and has held several executive level positions at the National Museum of American History. When he became the director of the National Museum of African American History and Culture there was only one person on staff and no funding. Through his leadership the museum—which has over 40,000 artifacts that capture the essence of the Black experience—has attracted upwards of 4 million visitors. Bunch has also spearheaded capital campaigns for the Chicago Historical Society where he served as president from 2001 through 2005. One of his goals as secretary of the 173-year-old institution is to keep history relevant in a digital age. He wants the artifacts and information housed in the Smithsonian institutions to foster creativity and innovation. “It is important for the public to view the Smithsonian not simply as an addict of nostalgia, but as a cauldron of ideas of innovation and understanding that can be transformative for our country,” he said in a statement. “It must be an institution that is ripe with technology, an institution better suited to serve 21st century audiences, and an institution of research, of great collections, and of wonder that helps America understand itself and its world.” Bunch is slated to officially start his new position on June 16.
