To make matters worse, Wallace was a K-9 handler! You’d think he would be more compassionate to animals right? According to NY Post reports: The footage was captured when Wallace responded to a call about an aggressive dog at an apartment complex in Conway, AR, Fox 16 reported. It shows the deputy speaking with a homeowner while two small dogs run around the yard, but when Reeses starts barking, Wallace shoots the dog. The yelping from the animal is really heart-wrenching. The page had raised 14,698 of a $15,500 goal as of our reporting. Wallace has been terminated from his position according to a post on the department’s Facebook page: “I was notified Friday of an incident involving Deputy Keenan Wallace. Deputy Wallace fired his service weapon that injured an animal while in close proximity to a citizen. I believe there were numerous opportunities to de-escalate the incident, “ reads a statement from Tim Ryals on the County Sheriff’s Facebook page announcing Wallace’s termination. “Our Department is saddened about this incident and apologizes for any distress and disappointment this incident has caused anyone who was affected by this disheartening event. We will keep Reeses in our thoughts through the recovery process,” continues the post. Prosecutors are reviewing the incident to determine whether criminal charges will be filed or not, Ryals said. Mississippi Officers Enter Man’s Apartment Without Permission, Orders Him To Stop Filming Them [Video]

Cardravious Crump hosted a Halloween party at his moms house in Tate County, Mississippi on Sunday, and felt that all was well — until two deputy officers came into the apartment unannounced just an hour after the soiree was over. Crump and his mom discovered the policemen roaming around their kitchen — and when they asked what the issue was, the cops mentioned underage drinking, even though the party had already ended. Cardravious’ mother told reporters , “I asked him nicely to step out. I said, ‘Well then, I can talk to you, but can you step outside? [They refused] so I cursed him out. I was like, ‘You gonna get the [expletive] out my house ’cause I did not tell you to come in here.” Crump took out his phone during the altercation and cops responded, “You can turn that off. You can turn that off. You’re gonna turn that off, get that out of my face. I just told you to turn it off. I’m not gonna tell you again.” Cardravious told reports that he didn’t know what the cop was reaching for when he reached around his side, which is why he started recording. Even Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance said the deputy was wrong to ask Crump to turn off the camera. Luckily no one was hurt or arrested.

Here’s What Could Happen To Trump If He Fires Rod Rosenstein

D eputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein ’s job was in jeopardy Monday, as he awaits a meeting with President Donald Trump  that could end with the White House in deeper turmoil. See Also: Here’s Everyone Charged In The Trump Russia Investigation Rosenstein will remain in his post for now and meet with Trump on Thursday, the Washington Post reported. The number-two person at the U.S. Justice Department, who’s overseeing the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, was expected earlier on Monday to be removed from his post, according to USA Today . Trump, who has long sought to fire Rosenstein over special counsel Robert Mueller ’s Russia probe, could set off a series of events that ends in his impeachment if he decides to fire the deputy attorney general, USA Today note. Rod J. Rosenstein to stay in job, will meet with Trump on Thursday, White House says https://t.co/ZmfCXTPy8B — Washington Post (@washingtonpost) September 24, 2018 This all stems from an explosive New York Times report on Friday, which said Rosenstein, in 2017, had suggested wearing a wire while meeting with the president to possibly invoking the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which spells out the procedures for removing a president who’s unfit for office. Rosenstein denied the claims from anonymous sources in Times’ report. His suggestion to wear a wire reportedly came in the aftermath of the chaos from Trump’s controversial decision to fire FBI Director James Comey , who was leading the Russian collusion investigation. After Trump dismissed Comey in May 2017, Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel in charge of the Russia investigation. The removal of Comey was seen as possible obstruction of justice evidence against Trump. The deputy attorney general began overseeing Mueller’s probe because Trump’s former political ally, Attorney General Jeff Sessions , recused himself in 2017 from the case. Rosenstein has defender Mueller every time the president has hinted at firing the special counsel. Removing Rosenstein has been viewed by many as a first step to replacing him with someone who will follow the president’s wishes to end the Mueller investigation. But there could be political fallout from replacing Rosenstein. Even some Republicans have urged the president not to make that move, especially ahead of the midterm elections. It would be seen by many voters as the president’s attempt to end the Russia probe and lead to calls from the left and right for his impeachment. If Trump does fire Rosenstein, Solicitor General Noel Francisco would assume oversight of the Russia investigation, according to the Times. Francisco was a partner at Jones Day in 2016. The law firm represented the president’s 2016 campaign. Consequently, there could be a conflict of interest if Francisco oversees the Russia probe. Busted: 7 NYPD Officers Face Court For Prostitution & Gambling Ring Involvement

(Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images) Seven NYPD cops will have to answer to the court on Thursday for charges related to a prostitution and gambling ring. According to CBS2 , the officers are accused of providing protection, including info about ongoing investigations, for illegal gambling and prostitution locations in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and Jackson Heights, Queens. The suspects are identified as Sergeants Carlos Cruz, 41; Louis Failla, 49; Cliff Nieves, 37; Officers Steven Nieves, 32; Giancarlo Raspanti, 43; and Detectives Giovanny Acosta-Rojas, 40; and Rene Samaniego, 43. They face charges of promoting prostitution and enterprise corruption. Sources say the Internal Affairs Bureau began investigating in 2015. They were tipped off by another officer. Since then, sources say investigators have obtained thousands of hours of surveillance, including wiretaps of the cops allegedly involved. In a statement, NYPD Commissioner James P. O’Neill said the accused officers “swore an oath and then betrayed it.” He continued, “The people of this Department are rightly held to the highest standard, and should they fail to meet it, the penalty will be swift and severe. I thank Deputy Commissioner Joseph Reznick for the thorough investigation performed by the Internal Affairs Bureau, in partnership with the Queens District Attorney’s Office, in rooting out this illicit activity. His unit initiated this probe and in doing so has sent a clear message: there is no place in the NYPD for criminal or unethical behavior.” More sources say a retired NYPD detective was arrested as a “major player” in the operation. Two more uniformed officers were put on modified desk duty, and their guns and badges were taken away. More than 40 civilians are also said to be wanted for their involvement in the illegal activities. The Queens County District Attorney will lead the prosecution of the case. More info will be revealed in a press conference expected for Thursday afternoon.

Demi Lovato Opens Up About "Addiction Hell" In New Interview

Earlier this week, fans were shocked to learn that Demi Lovato had relapsed after six years of sobriety. To her credit, over the years, Lovato has not attempted to conceal her struggles with addiction, instead allowing her story to serve as a cautionary tale for young fans. And she’s been just as open about her most recent battle with the bottle. Demi’s new song, “Sober,” is a surprisingly confessional ballad detailing her lapse back into addiction. Sadly, Lovato’s relapse was not a one-time event but has instead proven to be a source of ongoing difficulty. Sources say Demi is still drinking , and has been for more than two months. But it seems she feels that it’s important for her fans to see her at her lowest depths, as Radar Online is reporting today that Lovato is planning to grant a candid TV interview to Hoda Kotb of Today. Demi was reportedly reluctant about stepping back into the spotlight in her current state. She had a change of heart, one insider claims, because of three important factors: 1. Her loyalty to her fan base and her desire to be completely straightforward with the millions who have stood by her through thick and thin. 2. Her belief that honesty is the first step to sobriety. 3. Her faith in longtime friend Kotb. “They have a history together,” the source says of Demi’s relationship with Hoda. “Demi is ready to share what led to the relapse and what she is doing now to stay sober,” the insider adds. “She has always been very open and honest with her fans about her struggles, so it’s only natural that she would do this.” There’s no word yet on when the interview will take place or when it will air, but the insider says Demi is hoping to sit down with Hoda as soon as possible. In “Sober,” Demi croons the heartbreaking line: “I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.” She lays her soul bare in the song, but the lyrics offer no details about the how, why, and when of Demi’s relapse. Now, it seems she finally fill in those blanks for the sake of her very worried fans. View Slideshow: 22 Times Demi Lovato Has Kept It Real

Capital Gazette Reporter Tweets Horror of Latest Mass Shooting

Another mass shooting has taken place in America. On Thursday afternoon, a gunman broke into the offices of The Capital Gazette in Maryland, opening fire and killing at least five individuals and wounding many others. According to law enforcement officials, an unnamed suspect is in custody, but very little is known about him at the moment. (UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as 38-year old Jarrod Ramos. He once filed a defamation lawsuit against the newspaper that was thrown out.) We can confirm, however, that the suspect was found hiding under a desk inside the building and that a package (or carrying device of some kind), which contained a flammable liquid, was discovered near him on the ground. Police have also said the suspect was an adult male and that he used a “long gun” to carry out his massacre. More than 170 people were in the building during the shooting; those who did not suffer any injuries were evacuated and taken to a reunification area. Among those unharmed was reporter Phil Davis, who has made headlines for Tweeting a few details from the awful incident. “There is nothing more terrifying than hearing multiple people get shot while you’re under your desk and then hear the gunman reload,” Davis Tweeted at one point on Thursday, adding: “Gunman shot through the glass door to the office and opened fire on multiple employees. Can’t say much more and don’t want to declare anyone dead, but it’s bad. “A single shooter shot multiple people at my office, some of whom are dead.” In a later interview posted on the newspaper’s website, Davis said the scene inside the newspaper’s office “was like a war zone,” expounding: “I’m a police reporter. “I write about this stuff – not necessarily to this extent, but shootings and death – all the time. But as much as I’m going to try to articulate how traumatizing it is to be hiding under your desk, you don’t know until you’re there and you feel helpless.” Elsewhere, Jimmy DeButts, an editor at the Capital Gazette, Tweeted that he was “devastated & heartbroken,” explaining why it is he and his co-workers do the jobs they do: We keep doing more with less. We find ways to cover high school sports, breaking news, tax hikes, school budgets & local entertainment.. We are there in times of tragedy. “We do our best to share the stories of people, those who make our community better. Please understand, we do all this to serve our community.” Along these lines, the newspaper has said it has no plans of going on hiatus or taking any sort of break. “I can tell you this: We are putting out a damn paper tomorrow,” reporter Chase Cook Tweeted. President Donald Trump, has has often referred to the press as the “enemy of the people,” something he reiterated two days ago at a rally in South Carolina, chimed in as follows on social media: “Prior to departing Wisconsin, I was briefed on the shooting at Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland. “My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. Thank you to all of the First Responders who are currently on the scene.” Added the First Lady on Twitter: “Today’s violence at the Capital Gazette was tragic & evil. “My heart goes out to all affected in this brutal & senseless attack, & I send thoughts & prayers for comfort to the friends, family & colleagues of those killed & injured.” Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Lt. Ryan Frashure said that officers were on the scene “very, very quickly, I think it was around 60 seconds or a minute-and-a-half” after receiving the call about the active shooter. As of this writing, the suspect is said to not be cooperating with police. Here is a look at the building where the shooting took place: Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has also released a statement about this shooting at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, saying at a press conference: “We are terribly saddened by the loss of five members of our community in today’s heinous shooting. “The Capital Gazette is my hometown paper, and I have the greatest respect for the fine journalists, and all the men and women, who work there. “They serve each day to shine light on the world around us so that we might see with more clarity and greater understanding. “There is no place in our society for this kind of hatred and violence, and the individual responsible for this horrendous crime must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” UPDATE :  Anne Arundel Police Deputy Chief Bill Krampf has now confirmed this was a “targeted attack” against the newspaper.
