Iceland’s Government In Shambles After Prime Minister’s Father Tries To Clear Pedophile’s Name

OLIVIER MORIN/AFP/Getty Images Prime Minister’s Father Tries To Help Convicted Pedophile According to reports, Iceland’s government was in falling apart on Friday after a coalition party quit because the prime minister’s father tried to clear a pedophile’s name. The centrist Bright Future Party said in a Facebook post that there was “a serious breach of trust,” causing their withdrawal. Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson took office in January with his Independence Party, the Reform Party and the centrists. Benediktsson’s father, Benedikt Sveinsson, reportedly helped a convicted child molester apply for a clause in the country’s judicial system that allows those who’ve served sentences for serious crimes to “restore their honor.” The criminal in question is Hjalti Sigurjon Hauksson, who in 2004 was convicted of raping his stepdaughter almost every day for 12 years, and sentenced to five years in jail. Sveinsson made a statement claiming he didn’t know his actions would do anything beside helping a convicted felon get back on their feet. He said, “what was supposed to be a small gesture of good will towards a convicted criminal has instead turned into a continuation of the tragedy for the victim. For this I again apologize.”

Farrah Abraham Honors Derek Underwood, Is So Depressing

Farrah Abraham is just so awful. All the time. Just the worst. The absolute worst . And yeah, everybody says that all the time about her, but it's just because it's so intensely true. For many people, it could be the truest thing they've ever known. The sun rises in the east, sets in the west, and Farrah Abraham is a human pile of garbage and porn and disappointment. These are irrefutable facts. But while Farrah is horrible , she's still human, and the vast majority of humans are capable of being OK sometimes. They're at least capable of stirring some sympathy in other, less terrible souls, and believe it or not, that's what Farrah's doing in this new video she shared. In the video, she and Sophia discuss “Daddy Derek,” also known as Derek Underwood: the guy Farrah dated in high school. He knocked her up, they broke up, then he tragically died in a car accident on December 28th, 2008. Farrah was still pregnant at the time of his death, so Sophia never got to meet her father. And regardless of what you think about the most heinous Teen Mom of them all, that's incredibly sad. Farrah says that she and Sophia have special ways of honoring his memory during this time of year, and honestly, it's enough to bring a tear to your eye. Check out the sadness in the video below:

The United States imprisons it’s own

With nearly 25% of the world's inmate population, who says the United States doesn't have political prisoners? Excerpt: “Indeed, the United States leads the world in producing prisoners, a reflection of a relatively recent and now entirely distinctive American approach to crime and punishment. Americans are locked up for crimes — from writing bad checks to using drugs — that would rarely produce prison sentences in other countries. And in particular they are kept incarcerated far longer than prisoners in other nations.” How is this helpful to society? Why doesn't Americans and politicians take a good hard look at this issue? Coupled with an extremely dysfunctional judicial system populated largely by opportunistic prosecutors who believe they are empowered to wield the hand of God play the role of Judge, jury and executioner over people's lives, it's little wonder we incarcerate so many. In my own experiences with the judicial system I can tell you with NO uncertainty the legal system has no interest in “truth”, “right” or “wrong”. The judicial system executes sloppily prosecuted people, knowing full well the inadequacies of the process. Prosecutions and executions sought and pushed forward by prosecutors who decided for themselves who was guilty, ignorant of their own weaknesses, failings, projections and externalization. Our nation shoots itself in not just the foot, but the leg and the abdomen. Our judicial system's conduct is terminal and fatal to our society. Need we look at the actions of the Supreme Court allowing corporations the buying of judges, politicians and political favorable agendas and legislation AT the expense of the electorate? That you believe you haven't been touched by the dysfunction of the judicial system is no excuse for ignorance or worse yet, indifference to the violations and victimization's of the judicial system on the American people. Not convinced? Just think about it. Why does the US's 5% of the world's population house nearly 25% of the worlds prisoner population and at what expense to you financially in the form of taxes? At what expense to society to loose so many of it's primarily male population? What is a country more interested in prosecuting and jailing it's people than helping them? More interesting facts: “Children of incarcerated parents have increased risk of anxiety, depression, aggression, truancy, attention disorders and poor scholastic performance.” I met a homeless young man who had been incarcerated for 3 days not paying a bus fee of less than $5.00. And still more interesting facts: “Children of incarcerated parents have increased risk of anxiety, depression, aggression, truancy, attention disorders and poor scholastic performance.” Would you rather the state and Federal Government paid for the bus fare and not incarcerated the young man or waste some $250.00 a day for his incarceration plus court costs? Who makes decisions like this? Is it crazy or has the legal and judicial system itself become the monster? Again, is an unpaid bus fare of less than $5.00 worth blowing more than $600.00 of American tax payer money? Is this what “being tough on crime is”? That's a resounding: YES! Did the people who conduct our legal and judicial system in this way go to college? Are they idiots? Are they intentionally trying to destroy America or are they just really really stupid? Fact 1: Not everyone in prison is guilty. Fact 2: Not everyone accused is guilty. Personally, I can't believe a civilized society would conduct itself so self-destructive and so oblivious to the Obvious! http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/23/us/23prison.html added by: VoyagerFilms

O.J. Simpson Suit Bound For Smithsonian

Most times when you talk about suits and O.J. Simpson, they’re of the legal variety. People suing the knife-wielding maniac for wrongful death and whatnot. This time, though, the topic is a suit the notorious murderer wore when he was somehow acquitted of murder by a jury jam-packed with idiots back in ’95. Those fine threads may be headed to the Smithsonian Institution. After a court hearing Monday, which followed years of squabbling, lawyers for O.J. Simpson and Fred Goldman both agreed to donate the ” acquittal suit .” Here’s the historic judicial system failure in question … The judge called O.J. from prison, where he’s serving a 15-year term for armed robbery and kidnapping, to get his approval. Simpson’s lawyer said he agreed. Provided no one makes money off it, that is. David Cook, Goldman’s lawyer, says, “The donation to the Smithsonian of the acquittal suit puts front and center the shock to America when justice escaped the Los Angeles courthouse. The memory of Ron Goldman shall be on permanent display.” “If the suit is the emblematic of justice gone berserk, justice is served.” Goldman has been relentlessly trying to cash in on everything Simpson-related since winning a $30-million-plus civil judgment for O.J. killing his son. No word if the Smithsonian will accept the thing, or if Christie Prody has changed her name and signed up for a witness protection program yet.

Nervous young men ‘being forced’ to take Viagra

Predatory women are destroying the sexual confidence of young men in Ireland – with some men as young as 20 now turning to Viagra to prop up their flagging libido. A growing 'ladette' culture of women who prefer instant action is proving so intimidating that more and more young men are taking the blue pill to cope. The claim comes from Ireland's leading psychosexual therapist, who says that in the past year she has met a growing number of anxious young males who complain they are expected to “perform at will”
