Florida Man Mistakes Suicide Jumper’s Body For Mannequin, Assumes April Fools Prank

A Florida man working the desk at a Tampa Bay apartment complex for seniors nonchalantly disposed of the body of a resident who’d jumped 16 stories to her death. Mistaking the corpse for a mannequin from an April Fools’ prank. Obviously. Tampa Bay Times reporter Weston Phippen detailed the story yesterday:     Ronald Benjamin, 61, looked onto the patio and saw a shape on the ground. It looked to him like a mannequin. An April Fools’ Day joke, he concluded, and went back to work.     Two hours later, another employee of the senior housing complex at 440 Fourth Ave. N told Benjamin about the shape on the patio. It was just a prank, Benjamin assured her.     When a woman and her teen son came by to deliver the Tampa Bay Times, Benjamin asked the boy to help him move the mannequin into a Dumpster. It gets worse …     He grabbed the shoes and the teen clasped a handful of clothes, which was topped with a ball of whitish-gray hair. It weighed almost nothing, Benjamin noted, as they heaved it into the trash.     Benjamin saw what looked like blood, but he thought it was fake.     Hours later, other workers discovered that the shape in the Dumpster was not a mannequin, but a 96-year-old resident who had jumped 16 stories to her death sometime during the night.     They called Benjamin, whose shift had ended by then, and told him to come back. He was stunned when he was told that it was a person . Benjamin, who was fired, says he is deeply troubled and contrite. When the Times asked him about the mistake, he assumed that because the bars had just closed for the night, some reveler was having fun with a mannequin:     “I’m telling you, I swear to God, the face looked like a rubber mask. If I thought for one instant it was a person I would have called the police, my manager, everyone.” The woman, who was not identified, had left a suicide note and was described by an acquaintance at her nursing home as a “refined” individual.

Kelly Clarkson Denies Cheating Rumors on Twitter, Puts Haters on Blast

Kelly Clarkson took to Twitter to blast speculation that her new husband and father of her unborn child, Brandon Blackstock, has been cheating on her. Buzz regarding Blackstock cheating on Clarkson surfaced earlier this month when an anonymous woman posted to Nik Richie’s gossip site, The Dirty. The woman detailed her alleged exploits with the music manager, and an alleged response from Clarkson herself sparked rumors. All false, she says. Kelly Clarkson Responds to Cheating Rumors Clarkson turned to Twitter to shoot down the rumors: Keep hearing random rumors of me & Brandon splitting or that’s he’s cheating on me. Stop with all the lying please #aintnobodygottimeforthat False rumors don’t bother me & Brandon but they do affect the lives of our 12 & 7 yr old. They’re kids &don’t get that people can print lies. A loyal and protective stepmom to Blackstock’s kids from his previous marriage, daughter Savannah and son Seth, she really hit home with the last part. His ex-wife and the mother of his kids, Melissa Ashworth, previously spoke out in defense of Clarkson and Blackstock, so there’s zero bad blood there. “This is ridiculous … this silliness. I have my two children [by Brandon] right here, who I love,” she told Radar . “I adore Kelly and Brandon as a couple.” “If I say anything it’s going to be positive.” Blackstock also responded to the rumors with a humorous tweet last week, though he didn’t deny it like Kelly did. Perhaps she wanted to erase all doubts. In any case, all appears to be well for Clarkson and Blackstock, who married in October and announced they are expecting their first child together last month.

Gisele Bundchen: Breastfeeding and Multitasking!

Gisele Bundchen has once again sparked debate and discussion over breastfeeding, this time by simply sitting there doing so in a terry cloth robe. While being made up and styled for a photo shoot, obviously. The Brazilian beauty shared Tuesday this somewhat controversial photo of herself breastfeeding her daughter as a beauty squad carried out its aesthetic duties: “What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep #multitasking #gettingready,” Tom Brady’s wife captioned the photo. Nursing daughter Vivian as she gets her nails, makeup and hair done by three different people, Bundchen also translated the caption into her native Portuguese. That’s taking multitasking to a new level. Back in August 2010, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel caused a stir after the birth of her first child with her quarterback husband, son Benjamin. “I think breastfeeding really helped,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK about getting back the figure that made her the world’s highest paid supermodel. “Some people here think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think, ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child, when they are so little?'” “There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion,” Bundchen added controversially, “that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.”

Jesus Take The Wheel: Elderly Man Beats Nursing Home Roommate To Death With Wheelchair Leg Rest During Dispute Over Privacy

So sad. Nursing Home Resident Beats His Roommate To Death Dayum, he killed that man with a leg rest…folks just don’t give an isht. According to NY Daily News: A dispute over a curtain separating their beds exploded into blind rage early Wednesday when a Rockaways nursing home resident beat his elderly roommate to death with a wheelchair leg rest, police said. Thomas Yarnavick had been squabbling with his doomed roomie over privacy issues since they began sharing the room in July, police sources said. Yarnavick’s anger finally boiled over around 1 a.m. when they began quarrelling over the curtain, the sources said. Jailall Singh, the battered 71-year-old, was rushed to St. John’s Hospital, where he died at 2:43 a.m., cops said. Yarnavick, 67, who sometimes used a wheelchair, was arrested at the scene and charged later with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon — the leg rest. The suspect and the victim are from Queens. Other residents at the Ocean Promenade Rehabilitation and Nursing Center said the two men in room 308 didn’t get along. “Last night I heard screaming voices, but that happens all the time,” said 63-year-old Kamal Musa, who lives across the hall from the once-warring pair. SMH. But Aaron Lichtman, a spokesman for the home, insisted management was not aware the two men had been at odds. “It’s as if you live in a small, tight-knit town, and you wake up to incredibly tragic news,” he said. “This is like a small town.” Yarnavick, who was waiting to be arraigned late Wednesday, is no stranger to the legal system. He has a prior arrest on his rap sheet. But it wasn’t immediately clear what he had been arrested for because the case was sealed, sources said. His sister didn’t want to talk about him. “I haven’t seen my brother in 20 years,” said Muriel Calame, 69, of Gouldsboro, Pa. Located on Beach 113th St., the rest home was badly damaged during Hurricane Sandy and some 90 residents were forced to shiver for several days in the sand-filled building before it was evacuated. They were allowed to return a week later. It was not known whether Yarnavick or his roommate were among the evacuees. When people don’t get along anything can be the last straw. Unfortunately, this man lost his life over nothing. Shutterstock

Elderly Woman Dies When Nurse Refuses To Give CPR “Ugh, Uh… She Ain’t My Patient!” [Video]

A 911 dispatcher pleaded with a nurse at a Bakersfield, Calif., senior living facility to save the life of an elderly woman by giving her CPR, but the nurse said policy did not allow her to, according to a newly released audiotape of the call. “Is there anybody there that’s willing to help this lady and not let her die?” the dispatcher asked in a recording of the 911 call released by the Bakersfield Fire Department. “Not at this time,” the nurse said. The incident unfolded on Tuesday when 87-year-old Lorraine Bayless collapsed at Glenwood Gardens, a senior living facility in Bakersfield. In the seven-minute, 16-second recording, the nurse told the dispatcher it was against the facility’s policy for employees to perform CPR on residents. With every passing second, Bayless’ chances of survival were diminishing. The dispatcher’s tone turned desperate. “Anybody there can do CPR. Give them the phone please. I understand if your facility is not willing to do that. Give the phone to that passerby,” the dispatcher said. ”This woman is not breathing enough. She is going to die if we don’t get this started.” After several minutes, an ambulance arrived and took Bayless to Mercy Southwest Hospital, where she died. Glenwood Gardens released a statement confirming its policy prohibiting employees from performing CPR. “In the event of a health emergency at this independent living community, our practice is to immediately call emergency medical personnel for assistance and to wait with the individual needing attention until such personnel arrives. That is the protocol we followed,” the statement said. Despite protocol being followed, the nursing home said it would launch an internal investigation into the matter. ABCNEWS.Go.Com

Jesus Take The Wheel: Mother Of Three Dies From 21-Year Coma After Her Drunk Azz Husband Beat Her

Bernadette Jones Dies After 21 Year Coma This is extremely sad, and the domestic violence must stop: Bernadette Jones’ drunken husband beat her into a coma on April 14, 1991. Family members brought the comatose woman home from the hospital eight months later, and that first night, her three children crawled into bed with her and slept. For the next two decades, Jones’ family cared for her in a special room built at the back of their home on 73rd Street in Niagara Falls. But their nursing of a patient who never awoke ended Sunday, when she died at the age of 51, succumbing to pneumonia. “After 21 years of fighting every kind of infection you can imagine, being that she was so vulnerable in her condition, her body finally ran out of gas,” stepfather Robert Anderson Jr. said Thursday. He and his family provided constant care for Jones, and the experience evolved into a closeness most families never know. Government officials at first refused to provide health care coverage, but Jones’ mother sought legal help, and the state relented, helping make it possible to spare her from being institutionalized. At 11 a.m. today, Anderson and other family members will gather with friends in Trinity Baptist Church, 1366 South Ave., to say farewell at a funeral service, but it was the modest, beige one-story ranch home they shared in Niagara Falls’ LaSalle section that was their sanctuary of love born out of a rare level of devotion. “You have to do it willingly and 300 percent or don’t do it,” said Anderson, 70. “Through all the trials and tribulations we went through, we never once argued over Bernadette. When we first brought her home, her brother gave up his room in the basement for her. The void, now, is palpable in the Anderson home. “We know she would have expired a long time ago if she had not come home to live with us,” said Robert Anderson Jr., who is in his third four-year term as a City Council member. “We know she’s gone home to God and to her mother and wow, that’s a plus.” Robert Anderson III agreed. “She’s broken the bonds of pain. She’s free,” he said. So sad. R.I.P. Source

Dirty Dog Diaries: Shamed Politician John Edwards Was A Serial Cheater

This guy really ain’t isht! Not only did JOHN EDWARDS try to seduce a nurse who cared for his elderly mother-in-law but also three other women before getting horizontal with career crusher, tell-all lover RIELLE HUNTER, The ENQUIRER has learned. Rielle’s tell-all – “What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter, and Me” – charges that the one-time presidential candidate also tried to seduce a nurse who cared for his elderly mother-in-law and a single mom whose child goes to the same school as his children. An insider, who revealed these bombshell details exclusively, disclosed that the 59-year-old former U.S. Senator “begged and pleaded with Rielle” not to write about his tawdry, never-before-told cheating secrets. But Rielle, 48 – the mother of Edwards’ 4-year-old love child Quinn – is making the PR rounds on ABC to promo the book, with “Good Morning America,” “Nightline” and “The View” next up. “It’s vindication for Rielle, who plans on revealing that she followed at least three other mistresses John had. “She’s sick of being accused of coming up with the idea of giving John a special cell phone so he could call her without Elizabeth knowing. “Rielle claims John already was using the so-called ‘bat phone’ trick with the other girls. If that’s not enough to make Edwards out to be even more of a disgusting, philandering cad, Rielle goes on to reveal that he targeted a pretty nurse who cared for Elizabeth’s mom in her nursing home. “She also charges he had the hots for a single mom whose child went to the same school as his younger children.” “In a twisted way, Rielle thinks the public will like her better if they know she wasn’t the sole homewrecker,” said a source. Wow. He has to be THEEEE worst ever! Source
