Kevin Ware Leg Injury: Gruesome, Caught on Camera

Kevin Ware of Louisville is resting comfortably in the hospital this morning, hours after breaking his leg in arguably the most gruesome sports injury anyone has ever seen. The incident took place in the first half of Louisville’s Final Four victory of Duke, as the guard jumped to block a three-point attempt and landed awkward on his right leg. As you can see in the following video, the body part immediately snapped in half in front of the Cardinals’ bench, as teammates reacted in horror. Be warned: this is graphic in nature. Kevin Ware Breaks Leg “I went over and I was going to help him up and then all of a sudden, I saw what it was and I almost literally threw up,” said Coach Pitino of Ware’s bones protruding through his skin. School officials said doctors reset the bone and inserted a rod into the tibia during a two-hour procedure last night. Friends and teammates are now hoping Ware can accompany them to the Final Four in Atlanta this weekend. Pitino left his player the squad’s West Regional trophy and we send Ware our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Drugs Are Bad M’Kay: Alabama Man Popped For Driving On School Lawn, Stripping Nekkid, Peeing On Car, And Claiming He’s “High On Jesus”

Sounds like this guy was on something a little stronger than Molly Via WAAY School officials say a man who stripped off his clothes in front of Austin High School Monday afternoon claimed to be “high on Jesus.” Ronald Ray Fletcher, 27, is charged with indecent exposure. According to police, Fletcher went into the school and tried to check out a student and was told he wasn’t allowed. He then left the building, drove his car onto the grass in front of the school and removed his clothes. Officials said he waved at students in classrooms from outside. School officials said Fletcher also urinated on a car and asked for the same student he had tried to check out earlier before the school resource officer took him into custody. Principal Don Snow told the Decatur Daily he asked Fletcher if he was high, and Fletcher responded with “I’m high on Jesus.” School officials said Fletcher showed no signs of aggression, and police did not find any weapons in his vehicle. Morgan County mental health workers are working to determine if Fletcher was receiving any kind of treatment. If by “Jesus” he means a flaky, crystal-like substance that can be melted down on a spoon and drawn into a syringe, then sure. That’s EXACTLY what he’s high off of…SMH

Lil Wayne: I F–ked Chris Bosh’s Wife (and F–k the Heat)!

Lil Wayne absolutely went OFF at an NBA All-Star Weekend event Sunday, reiterating his claim that he was ejected from a Miami Heat game last week. Moreover, the outspoken rapper told a Houston crowd that “The NBA banned me from all NBA events … because the Miami Heat told them to ban me.” Lil Wayne: I F–ked Chris Bosh’s Wife! His version of events is highly debatable, but he’s clearly not over it, urging his fans, “When I say f**k, you say NBA! When I say f**k, you say Miami Heat!” “F**k LeBron. F**k She Wade. F**k Chris Bosh. F**k all y’all,” he added, referring to the team’s three stars … oh, and also, “I f**ked Chris Bosh wife!” Crickets? Cheers? A little of both? It’s unclear if Wayne has, in fact, made love to Chris Bosh’s wife Adrienne. The star and the Heat have not commented on Weezy’s outburst so far. If you missed it, though Lil Wayne claimed last week that he got kicked out of American Airlines Arena for rooting for the visiting L.A. Lakers against the Heat. Other reports suggested he got the boot for making a gun gesture at another fan; Heat officials said he left of his own volition. So … it’s in dispute. Bosh married Adrienne Williams in 2011; she gave birth to their son Jackson in 2012. He has a daughter, Trinity, by his ex-girlfriend Allison Mathis.

Powerball Jackpot Unclaimed, Up to $425 Million

No one claimed the estimated $325 million Powerball jackpot Saturday, setting up the possibility of a record $425 million winner in the multi-state lottery Wednesday. The Powerball numbers for Saturday were 22-32-37-44-50, and the Powerball was 34. Obviously, no one picked it. The jackpot was the fourth largest in the game’s history. Lottery officials said the Wednesday Powerball total could soar above their current estimate of $425 million as people seek the potentially epic payoff. A single winner Wednesday choosing a lump sum over the 30-year annuity would have gotten a check for $278.3 million. A nice stocking stuffer. The previous top prize was $365 million, won by eight Nebraska meat packing plant workers in 2006. Earlier this year, MegaMillions’ jackpot reached $656 million. You in for the lotto this week? We’re playing 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and Powerball 42.

GOP Will Block Democratic Bills in Senate

WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans intend to block action on virtually all Democratic-backed legislation unrelated to tax cuts and government spending in the current postelection session of Congress, officials said Tuesday, adding that the leadership has quietly collected signatures on a letter pledging to carry out the strategy. If carried out, it would doom Democratic-backed attempts to end the Pentagon's practice of discharging openly gay members of the military service and give legal status to young illegal immigrants who join the military or attend college. Ex Russian Spy From Peru to get $2000 a Month for Life

Spy for Russia, get caught, and get paid $2000 a month for life. Some would say that this is not justice served in the face of laughing in the face of National Security. In a rapidly arranged spy swap, the U.S. government agreed Thursday to send Russia 10 agents who had burrowed into American society — two of them in Seattle — and in return won the release of four jailed Russians accused of passing information to the West. The 10 agents, who pleaded guilty Thursday to acting as unregistered foreign agents, were deported hours later. They had endured only a few days in jail since their arrests in the United States last month. In previous cases, spies spent years behind bars before being exchanged. U.S. officials said there was no point in holding the Russian agents, since authorities had monitored their activities for years and had unraveled their network. Obama administration officials said they had been eager to win the release of the four Russians, some of whom had spent long stretches in prison and were in poor health. The deal was expected to remove an irritant from the U.S.-Russian relationship, which has improved markedly under the Obama administration. But one senior administration official, speaking on condition of anonymity, acknowledged that “vestiges of an old Russia” were evident in the case. “Frankly, that's why we were as aggressive in rolling up this operation as we were,” the official said. Peruvian-born Vicky Pelaez, the only non-Russian among the agents, began crying after she saw a loved one among the onlookers. Anna Chapman, the Russian diplomat's daughter whose photos have become an Internet sensation, played with her red hair. Most of the others were stony-faced. Pelaez's attorney, John Rodriguez, said a private plane had been expected to take the 10 to Russia. He said his client had been given only 24 hours to say yes or no to the “all or nothing” deal for deportation. He said in court that the Russian government had promised Pelaez $2,000 a month for life, housing and documents to allow her children to visit Russia and have all their expenses paid. She decided to go home to her native Peru instead. Peru's foreign minister, Jose Antonio Garcia, said Pelaez had committed no crime in her homeland and would be “received like any other Peruvian citizen.” http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Gl2yhEUbdg8/Sm-clhCBaWI/AAAAAAAAGlo/SWO2V_FeOkY/s400/d… added by: jubal
