Florida Man Kills Brother Over A Cheeseburger A florida man was not his brother’s keeper. He reportedly got into an argument with his sibling over a damn cheeseburger and ended up shooting and killing him. Via Orlando Sentinel : A 25-year-old St. Cloud man is facing murder charges after shooting and killing his brother Thursday night during an argument over a cheeseburger, police said. Benjamin Middendorf called 911 about 10 p.m. and told police he had just shot his brother, Nicholas, at their home on Sixth Street, between Michigan and Virginia avenues, an arrest report said. Nicholas Middendorf, 28, was later declared dead at the home from a single gunshot wound to the chest, police said. In the 911 call, Benjamin Middendorf is heard screaming and shouting at a dispatcher that he was “trying to hold the pressure” on his brother’s chest. He’s also heard telling the dispatcher they “were in a fight and I grabbed a gun and I shot him. Oh, my God.” Police talked with Benjamin Middendorf, who said he doesn’t drink alcohol and was home when his mom and brother came back from the bar, the report states. Nicholas started bullying him, Benjamin told police, and they argued over a cheeseburger. He said he couldn’t remember much after that, according to the report. Police said Benjamin owns a 9 mm pistol and had blood on his clothes and body. Middendorf is facing a charge of first-degree murder and is being held in the Osceola County Jail.

Via 40/29 : Cody Morris, 18, was arrested Monday for putting soda inside a water cup at a Springdale McDonald’s, refusing to return the soda, according to the police report sent to 40/29 News. The manager told police he tried to stop the suspects from driving away, but he was hit by their car, according to the report. The manager for the McDonald’s at 520 S. Thompson St. called police Monday to report a robbery, according to the report. The manager told police 3 people went through the drive thru and asked for 3 large waters. Those 3 parked, went into the restaurant, dumped out the water and then filled the cups with soda, the manager told police. The manager asked the 3 people to return the soda. Two of them did, but one did not, the manager told police. Then, the manager stood behind the suspect’s car and tried to stop them from leaving, according to the report, but the car reversed and hit the manager. The manager tried to get the keys out of the ignition and was hit on the hand and then by the vehicle again, the manager told police. Okay…who was this manager playing captain save-a-soda? Of course, the boys definitely should not have pulled something so stupid. BUT was the $1.25 for the carbonated drink serious enough for this person to go running after them, block their “getaway car” and try to take the keys out of the ignition???

Aroldis Chapman Accused Of Choking His Girlfriend A baseball star has been accused of choking his baby’s mother and firing off a gun 8 times within their garage. However, with little to no cooperation from the victim, it’s not looking like charges will be filed… Via People : Cincinnati Reds All-Star pitcher Aroldis Chapman allegedly shoved and choked his girlfriend and then went into the garage of his Davie, Florida, home alone and fired eight rounds with a handgun into a concrete wall, according to a police report obtained by PEOPLE. The alleged incident occurred on Oct. 30 but was first reported on Monday in a Yahoo Sports report. The report states that Chapman, 27, “was involved in a physical altercation with his girlfriend… over information she obtained from his cellphone.” According to the report, Chapman’s girlfriend told cops that he ” ‘choked’ her by placing his hands around her neck, but did not prevent her from breathing at any time.” She also allegedly told them that he pushed her up against a wall and caused her to fall to the floor. Chapman allegedly admitted to cops that during the argument, he left the house and got into the passenger seat of his Land Rover, where he punched the side window with his left hand – his pitching hand – causing a laceration. After that, Chapman allegedly told cops, he locked himself in his garage alone and shot several rounds inside. Police recovered eight shell casings. But once cops needed to press charges, Chapman’s girlfriend changed her tune… No arrests were made in the incident. Investigator Mark Brent wrote: “Due to conflicting stories, lack of cooperation by the victim and witnesses, no physical injuries, and the fact that Mr. Chapman fired his gun in a closed garage with no one present, there is insufficient evidence to charge him with a crime.” Chapman’s girlfriend, who is the mother of his infant child, left the house with police still there, the report states. When Brent asked the girlfriend’s brother to pass along his telephone number, the brother allegedly told Brent that she probably wouldn’t call him, the report states. Interesting. Via Bleacher Report : Former NFL cornerback Will Allen is facing decades in prison after being indicted on 23 felony counts stemming from an alleged Ponzi scheme run by the 36-year-old and a co-conspirator. Allen faces “12 counts of wire fraud, six counts of aggravated identity theft, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of illegal monetary transactions,” according to records obtained by Jeff Ostrowski of the Palm Beach Post. Each charge of wire fraud could result in a 20-year prison sentence, according to Ostrowski, with shorter sentences for the other felonies. Prosecutors allege Allen and Susan Daub were the heads of a business, Capital Financial Partners, that offered short-term loans to professional athletes but ultimately defrauded investors of nearly $14 million. Of the $31.7 million obtained from investors, only $18 million went to the loans. “The defendants sold investors on the idea of lending money to pro athletes, but we allege that’s not where a large portion of the investors’ money went,” Paul G.
