Well Duggar fans, whether you like it or not, Jim Bob and Michelle’s eldest child is slowly worming his way back into your lives. Many feared a day would come when Josh Duggar would once again be foisted upon an unsuspecting public, and a handful of perverse weirdos have been openly hoping for it. But whether you’re currently celebrating or cringing yourself into oblivion, there’s no denying that the second coming of Josh is close at hand. We won’t bother to brief you on Josh’s sex crimes or the various other ways he’s shown himself to be less than a model of Christian virtue. Instead, we’ll skip right to the ongoing effort to rebuild his reputation: It started with the announcement that Josh and Anna were celebrating the ten-year anniversary of the day that they got engaged. Yes, the Duggars were in such a hurry to push this agenda that they couldn’t even wait until the actual wedding anniversary. Shortly thereafter, Josh and Anna made a public appearance together , posing for pics at the wedding of family friends Josie Bates and Kelton Balka. This may not sound like a big deal, but it’s the first time that the couple has appeared in public at a non-family event since 2015. Let’s not forget that when Josh attended Joy-Anna Duggar’s wedding last year, his family was still so keen to sweep him under the rug that he was edited out of footage shot by TLC. Now, in keeping with the proud Duggar tradition, Josh and Anna are getting their kids in on the act. Or at least one of their kids, anyway … Mackynzie Duggar turned 9 this week, and Anna celebrated by posting the above pic along with a touching caption. “Nine years ago today we transitioned from newlyweds to a family of three when our first daughter Mackynzie was born,” Anna wrote. “Mackynzie, it has been a joy to watch you grow into such a kind, fun and caring young lady!” she added. “You live up to the meaning of your name as you are a wise leader! I am thrilled to watch you love Jesus, love others and strive to do what is right!” Now obviously, Mackynzie is totally innocent, and we hope her birthday was a joyous occasion. But these days, it’s hard not to be skeptical of everything that Anna posts — particularly when said posts are coming out so much more frequently that any other point in the past three years. Maxine Waters an angry Black woman for denouncing allegations of her staff’s involvement in a data breach. The breach came on Thursday, hours after the Senate testimony of Christine Blasey Ford , who alleged that Kavanagh sexually assaulted her when they were in high school, the Washington Post reported. Indeed, South Carolina’s GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham also expressed his outrage at Democrats during the hearing. Waters has long been a target of Republicans because she stands up to the GOP. Image via Splash/Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Botham Jean’s Family Suing Amber Guyger The family of Botham Jean is preparing to file a lawsuit against the officer who killed him and the city of Dallas, Texas. NBC News reports that Jean family Attorney Lee Merritt announced that there will be a lawsuit against now-fired Dallas police officer Amber Guyge r and the city of Dallas. Guyger is facing a manslaughter charge for fatally shooting Jean September 6 after she “mistook his apartment for her own.” No word yet on when the suit will be filed. This is pretty common practice with police brutality cases. Remember when the city of Baltimore paid Freddie Gray’s family $6.5 million??? Monique Greene and Nelly filed paperwork earlier this week agreeing to toss the civil rape case, which accused Nelly of luring her to his tour bus and attacking her following a concert at a Seattle nightclub in late 2017. Each side will pay their own legal fees, but it was unclear Thursday whether a financial settlement was in play. The case was acrimonious from the get-go, with Greene, 21, accusing Nelly, 43, of smearing her reputation before she even filed the suit with lies about her character. Nelly meanwhile insisted that their encounter was consensual and accused Greene of trying to inflame public opinion against him with her claims in court documents. We’ve reached out to lawyers for both Nelly and Greene for comment.
Just a few weeks ago, Tyga was claiming that he’s the one who made Kylie rich and famous , if you can imagine. But even though he put Kylie on blast in that interview, when he had a run-in with Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian, it was anything but awkward. In fact, Kris insisted on getting a hug. A source tells E! that Tyga was at Beyonce and Jay-Z’s concert when he ran into none other than the momager herself, Kris Jenner, along with Kim Kardashian. For a host of reasons, you might imagine that they’d give him the cold shoulder. Instead, it was the opposite. According to an eyewitness, Kris and Kim greeted Kylie’s much-older ex “warmly.” “Kris looked especially excited to see him,” the source said. “And also went in for a hug.” Tyga spent a lot of time with the family while he was with Kylie, which explains the hug. But … does Kris not care what he said about her baby girl? In case you, like Kris, have forgotten, Tyga spoke to Nicki Minaj just a few weeks ago. First, he denied that he misses Kylie , saying: “No, I’m good. I’m good love, enjoy.” That part was fine. Some doubt that it was honest, but it’s fine. He then claimed that it was a “big fact” that he was the one who put Kylie on the map through their relationship. Tyga claimed that “everybody know that” and “that’s public.” As evidence, he suggested that people look at “the before and after.” “She always had a platform, and she was always destined to be where she was going to be, regardless,” Tyga admitted.. “But, when I stepped in, and there was a lot of codes being taught,” he says. “It was like, ‘You could do this. Many would say that basically no one had heard of Tyga before he started dating then-underage Kylie, but Tyga feels that the universe owes him. “It was a lot of stuff, but, it’s like, I’m not that bitter type of person,” Tyga says. “Because God is going to pay me back; the universe is going to pay me back.” “And people are seeing what’s happening now,” he adds. But, he says, he doesn’t have any gripes about Kylie’s happily ever after with Travis Scott. “I’m not a bitter person. That’s like, if we break up, we break up,” Tyga claims. “We had a good time and we kept moving,” Tyga says. “You know, we went our separate ways, and we both are doing good, you know what I’m saying?” Tyga emphases that he has zero issues with Travis Scott, saying: “We aint got no beef.” Some have cynically suggested that maybe Kylie, who is now 21 years old, has just gotten too old for 28-year-old Tyga. If you’re a Duggar fan, then you’re likely aware that Jana Duggar is single . Jana’s marital status is a big deal among Duggar obsessives, as most of the women in her family are well on their way to spawning a legion of flannel-clad fundies by the time they turn 28. There are many theories as to why Jana might still be single . And of course, very few of them take into account such eminently logical explanations as “she hasn’t met the right guy,” or “she might just prefer being single.” Instead, every few weeks a new theory emerges to explain why Jana insists on bucking the family trend, and most of them involve some scandalous secret that the Duggars are supposedly going to great lengths to keep buried. The latest has to do with Jana’s longtime friend Laura DeMasie. Given the amount of time these two spend together and the fact that they’ve both defied expectations by remaining single, we suppose it was only a matter of time before fans began speculating that Jana and Laura are dating . And if it were true, it would be a deeply satisfying narrative: Two women in a male-dominated frontier finding solace in one another’s arms, like some sort of reality-TV version of a Willa Cather novel. But of course, the Duggars are not deriving as much pleasure from the Jana-Laura love story as the rest of us. Asked point-blank on Twitter this week if Jana and Laura are romantically involved, the ever-outspoken Derick Dillard replied simply, “uh no.” Apparently, that wasn’t blunt enough for one fan, who replied: “Derick you should have put just ‘no’ the ‘uh’ implies you don’t know lol, so this is not confirmation for the masses.” That led Laura to speak out on the matter herself: “How about this then: no,” she replied. Jeez, you would’ve thought someone accused her of something truly scandalous, like preferring Applebee’s to Chili’s. Jana still hasn’t spoken out on the matter, but that’s at least partially due to the fact that partially due to the fact that as an unmarried Duggar woman, she’s not allowed to use social media. Thomas Ravenel is merely under investigation for rape. But the former Southern Charm star has now been arrested for assault and battery. Here is the wealthy reality star’s mug shot: According to Charleston County jail records, Ravenel was booked at 10:11 a.m. on Tuesday and, as of this writing, remains behind bars. The circumstances surrounding his arrest are unclear, however, although news outlets say the charges are “second degree” in nature. As mentioned at the outset of this article, Ravenel has been at the center of another, likely far more serious investigation for months. Police started looking into Thomas back in May after a woman reported him for sexual assault. An ex-nanny to his kids has gone on record as saying that Ravenel “corralled” her into the master bedroom, dropped his pants, blocked the door and “ proceeded to rip my clothes off .” She said this incident took place while Ravenel’s daughter was asleep in the room next door and that she managed to escape before the ordeal went any farther. “Although I believe he should be in jail for his crimes, the reality according to statistics is that he will go unpunished,” the nanny told People Magazine, adding this spring: “I feel the only justice I will receive is to share my story in the efforts to educate the public and support assault survivors Another woman, meanwhile, has also accused Ravenel of attempted rape. In this instance, Ravenel allegedly forced himself on a date back in 2015 , pushing his fingers into her private parts and shoving his penis in her face. According to this alleged victim’s daughter, the woman screamed at Ravenel that he was a “rapist,” which caused him to stop his actions long enough that she also managed to escape. Ravenel, through his attorney, has denied both of these accusations. “My client enjoys a certain degree of fame, which has unfortunately made him a vulnerable target for such claims,” this lawyer, Richard P. Terbrusch, said in response to this second allegation. “The person this woman describes is simply not the man that I know. My client is a loving father, successful businessman, and upright member of the community. He is appalled and hurt by these allegations – and is committed to defending his reputation in the appropriate legal forum.” In response to the hit his reputation has taken as a result of these claims, Ravenel quit Southern Charm several months ago. The lead cast member for the first five seasons of this Bravo program, he said via Twitter that producers have been making him look bad and he’s simply had enough of allowing them to do so. “I’m not doing the show anymore,” he wrote as confirmation, proceeding to play the victim as follows: “In the contract they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I’ve got too much to lose and informed them I’m not coming back.” Oh well. Jill Zarin returned on The Real Housewives of New York City Season 10 Episode 11 , and we wish it were under better circumstances. The former cast member reunited with the ladies as she geared up for her late husband, Bobby Zarin’s funeral. “I got a text from mutual friends and Jill herself that Bobby passed away. It’s really sad. I knew how close they were,” said Ramona Singer while chatting with Dorinda Medley. That’s a pretty big move when you consider the history between the three of them. “Bethenny hasn’t seen her for six years,” continued Ramona, which essentially confirmed we were going to be in for one of the most awkward reunions in the history of reunions. If you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online , you know that Bethenny and Jill were once best friends, but a falling out paved the way for them to part ways and never speak again. “Despite what happened with Jill, Bobby loved me,” said Bethenny of the whole situation, and made her way back from Aspen in luxury via a private jet for the event. Bethenny maintained that she was going to pay her respects and make a swift exit, but it all hit home for her when she was there. “I don’t know why I’m not leaving. I want to see her again. I’m feeling bad for a woman who lost her husband. It’s a real loss,” Bethenny said to the audience. Their reunion was as heartbreaking as one would expect. Jill admitted that she was in a difficult spot because she had not been alone since her 20s. “So proud. Bobby loved you,” Jill declared. “Where are the gift bags? Terrible funeral,” Bethenny said, clearly attempting to make light of a dire situation. After the funeral, Luann appeared in the episode thanks to the power of the telephone. Bethenny hit her up, and they got talking. Luann was mad that she missed the funeral, but she realized she needed to get herself better or she was going to end up in some serious trouble. “It was a wake-up call for me. This is the bottom,” Luann shared with her friend. But Luann was looking at the positive side of things and admitted that it was for the best she was arrested because it gave her the nudge in the right direction she needed. Tinsley’s mother, Dale, was in the city and met up with her daughter. It quickly emerged that Dale was meddling in her daughter’s life by telling Scott Tinsley’s biological clock was running out. “Oh my god. Literally,” Tinsley said, before telling her mother to stay out of her life if her aim was to mess things up. Despite all of the drama, Tinsley went to look for wedding dresses with her mother. Is there actually hope for them to get married? There may be a way for them to have kids. Tinsley made a video call to Dr. Denker aka her fertility specialist, and he showed them a picture of her eggs. “I’m looking at what potentially could be my children,” said Tinsley. We finally got more intel from Luann as the episode drew to a close. “This past month for me has been eye-opening,” Luann said to the audience. “I feel really, really good,” said Luann on a phone call to Dorinda. “I’ve been self-medicating for a while. On Tuesday night, Farrah Abraham was arrested on battery and trespassing charges following an incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel. According to police reports and eyewitness accounts, it all started when a highly intoxicated Farrah began arguing with other guests at the hotel. A male employee of the hotel attempted to get Farrah to leave the premises and she responded by striking him. At that point, cops were called, and if you think she went quietly in order to avoid further damage to her reputation, then you don’t know Farrah. After telling the arresting officers to go f–k themselves , Farrah was taken into custody. She remained behind bars overnight and most of the next day, and we’re guessing staff at the county jail were very happy to see her released on $500 bail Wednesday afternoon. Most public figures would keep a low profile and allow the dust to settle after such a humiliating incident. But Farrah being Farrah, the former Teen Mom OG star was quick to vomit up some meaningless word salad that she probably thought was insightful commentary on the situation: Farrah Abraham Talks Arrest: I Was Targeted! “I was targeted, things were made up, It was fine,” Farrah said in a video recorded for TMZ. “I don’t know who called the cops, why people called the cops … I was focused on my friends and then someone was trying to be involved, another guest.” She added: “I don’t know if the guest was intoxicated [editor’s note: LOLOLOL]. I don’t know who he even is or what he looks like.” Then, as is her M.O. Farrah made a lame attempt to turn the whole thing into a feminist issue, saying: “I hope no other female finds herself in this position or situation, and I know it’s very hard being a public figure or ‘celebrity,’ if you will, but that is what happens when you are targeted.” Those closest to Farrah have also been sounding off on the situation. Her mother, Debra Danielsen, wept for Farrah’s 9-year-old daughter, who was in the hotel at the time of the incident. (It’s not believed that Sophia witnessed the incident, but still … not a great look.) And now, Farrah’s most recent ex, Simon Saran , is also offering his two cents: “Jail time will be good for her,” Saran told Hollywood Life on Wednesday. Farrah fired back in response to that remark in baffling fashion, saying: “I have no online profiles, I do not date at the moment and I do not have time for fake stories as these.” She added: “Exes should stop trying to make up derogatory things about a hard working woman who is focused solely on TV, movie projects, along with running three stores,” Reps for Farrah have issued multiple statements maintaining her innocence. “This situation has been blown out of proportion,” reads one such document issued last night. “Farrah has not been charged and was released this afternoon. A misunderstanding occurred and there was no battery or trespassing. Farrah is the hardest working individual I know and sets very high standards for herself.” To be fair, Farrah has not yet been charged — but prosecutors still have until the end of this week to make a decision on that matter.
