Rich Polk Getty Images for BET Jemele Hill Isn’t Surprised That ESPN Suspended Her   ESPN host  Jemele Hill stirred controversy after tweeting what everyone already knows about Donald Trump–that he is a white supremacist unfit to serve in the White House. ESPN gave Hill a 2-week paid suspension and received a lot of support standing with her, inspiring people calling and tweeting the network to let ESPN know we #StandWith Jemele. This weekend,  TMZ  caught up with Ms. Hill, and she told the publication that she most definitely “deserved” her two-week suspension from the network for violating social media policy. But not so fast, Hill also said she’ll “never take back what I said.” She’s still a real one, after all.  Jemele spoke with TMZ at the Los Angeles International Airport, “I deserved a suspension. I violated policy…going forward we’ll be in a good, healthy place.” She also added: “I would tell people, absolutely, after my Donald Trump tweets, I deserved that suspension. I deserved it. Like, absolutely. I violated the policy.” Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists. — Jemele Hill (@jemelehill) September 11, 2017 Hill also said she’d only apologize for putting “ESPN in a bad spot,” but you won’t catch her saying sorry for what she said, because she’s still a firm believer in those sentiments. Jemele also expressed the gratitude for all of her supporters during this time and says that her time off was used for reflection. She is returning back to work on Monday.

Kailyn Lowry Breaks Down Over Losing Javi Marroquin: I’m SORRY!

The relationship between Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin … well, it hasn't been great for a very, very long time. We might go so far as to say that it's never been all that stellar. They got married when Kailyn was just 20 years old, and Javi is a year younger than her. It wasn't long after that that they welcomed their son, Lincoln. And before they were even married, we saw them get into some pretty terrible fights. Then, of course, there was all the divorce drama — we're still not sure exactly what happened there. Javi says Kailyn cheated , she says that it was technically cheating because they were already separated, he says that doesn't count as an excuse because he didn't know they were separated. He's broken into her home, she's filed a protective order against him because she said she feared for her safety. It's a lot. But, as we saw in a heartbreaking little scene on Marriage Boot Camp last night, there's still at least a little bit of love between these two. This new episode was the one where the couples play pretend that one of them is on life support, near death, and the other has to, you know, deal with that. This time around, Kailyn is told that Javi was in a bad car crash and he's now brain-dead, and so she has to say her goodbyes. And while she's normally known for being cold and unemotional, her reaction to the exercise was pretty intense. “This is f-cked up,” she says upon seeing Javi in a hospital bed. “No, get me out of here.” She starts crying, something we rarely see her do, and she tries to leave, but the therapist pulls her back in the room. She's asked what she wants to say to him — her pretend last words to him — and she says through tears “I'm sorry, and I'll take care of our son.” The therapist then pulls out a letter Kailyn had written to Javi earlier in the season — one that she thought was going to be destroyed. “I have said the things I wrote in the letter a million times,” she admits in a later interview, but “it wasn't appropriate in the time and place.” So since she refused to read the letter, the therapist read it for her. “I would never want my sons to grow up to be like you are right now,” she had written to Javi. “You've acted childish and don't know how to control your feelings.” If you want to creep a little, you can pause the video and read the rest of the letter — it's all about how Kailyn doesn't want her boys to “think it's OK to try to control someone else” or make them “feel unsafe in their own home.” When asked what she'd like to say to Javi on his deathbed, she starts crying again and says “I care about you so much, and I never knocked you as a father, and I'll make sure that our son is taken care of.” Pretty heavy stuff, right? Later, Javi admits that he never thought she'd actually cry during the exercise. “It was nice to finally get some kind of emotion out of her,” he says, then to Kailyn herself, he complains “You never tell me how you feel.” “If you were to die, a part of me would die. You will always have a piece of my heart.” Is there hope for Kavi yet?! No, like we know they're divorced now and she's had a baby with another man since this was filmed, but still … do they have a chance? Watch the sad scene in the video below:

Rain Brown Details Struggle with Depression

Rain Brown has provided Instagram followers with an update on herself and also on her gravely ill mother. The youngest member of the Alaskan Bush People, Rain has been a consistent social media presence for months. Recently, however, it’s been difficult for her to keep up a happy persona, considering that her mother has tragically been diagnosed with lung cancer. According to a number of reports, Ami Brown is at Stage Four and she may not have very much time left. Earlier this week, Rain tried to keep up an optimistic front, sharing an uplifting text image with her followers that read: “You may not understand today or tomorrow, but eventually God will reveal why you went through everything you did.” She then opened up a lot more about the issues she’s been dealing with of late. “For the past few days I’ve been struggling with some things, such as my depression, life, and some teen girl probs too (ya know a broken nail) and I couldn’t figure out why I was in such bad shape,” Brown wrote, adding: “I stayed in bed for about four days with minor aches and pains and I couldn’t find out a reason, it bothered me so much, I lost any want to be healthy or motivational, I was just a husk.” That’s awful to hear. Sadly, it’s not the first time Rain has mentioned Depression . She wrote the following to her followers last month: I’ve struggled with a lot of depression over the last couple years, I was told it was puberty I was told I was too young to feel any real emotion that I “wasn’t fully developed so my brain couldn’t have actually been depressed” one of the main things I struggle with is my age. This time around, Rain didn’t question her mood too much. As explained below, she sort of just gave in to it: “But just now in the middle of the night it occurred to me, sometimes you don’t have to have a reason sometimes you don’t have to be perfect and somedays you just feel like staying in bed and watching old @simplynailogical videos and that’s OKAY! “In the time of all this happening I told myself that over and over but it also hit me I had to actually believe it and just let it go and stop being bothered by it.” While the Discovery Channel star admitted that she continues to “still feel kinda down and Like being lazy,” she now knows it’s “alright because my body knows what it needs and if that’s rest I won’t be one to refuse.” In conclusion, Amy mentioned her sick mother: “Stay strong my rainbows and listen to your body and soul they know what you need, don’t let your depression or dark feelings try to make you feel bad or people make you feel bad for doing what you know is right for you “Ps my mom gave me some panaway oil and now my aches feel so much better thanks mommy!!!” We really can’t imagine what Rain and her six siblings are going through. On Friday, though, Rain did say that she and her mom spent the morning making peach tea, adding of Ami: “She is now going though her second round of chemo… “Sadly I can’t say how she is doing just yet, but we are all hopeful and faithful, thank you all so much for your support and love in this harsh time.” We wish her the very best. Jessa Duggar’s House Is a Mess and Fans Love It

All of the Duggars work hard to project a wholesome public image, but the burden of “keeping up appearances” falls especially hard on the women of the family. The expectation is not only that they’ll marry young and reproduce endlessly, but also that they’ll slide effortlessly into the role of docile and uncomplaining housewife. For the most part, they’ve fallen in line with expectations, but even the Duggars aren’t immune to the times and the ways in which they’re a-changin’. The consensus amongst fans seems to be that the most outward form of rebellion is obviously Jinger Duggar’s decision to wear pants in direct defiance of her family’s strict dress code. Of course, there are some who believe that Jana Duggar’s refusal to marry just any old dude her parents set her up with is the ultimate middle finger to her upbringing. But while Jinger and Jana may receive the most attention for asserting their independence, their sisters appear to be defying parental expectations in more subtle ways. Take Jessa Duggar’s housekeeping for example: Now mind you–we’re not engaging in any mess-shaming here.  Jessa shared the above photo on her own Instagram page in order to prove a point about the demands of parenting and the importance of prioritizing. “This is real life, y’all. 1.) 6+ loads of laundry piled on the guest bed… can we just take a moment to celebrate the fact that it’s CLEAN laundry,” Jessa captioned the pic. Yes, it’s the little victories that count most in life. In fact, we’re firm believers that if any of your laundry is clean, you’ve earned a lengthy nap. Jessa went on to reveal several of the more uncleanly corners of her home via photos and descriptions. (“Side table that probably hasn’t been dusted in at least 6 months. Henry’s dried spit up on my side of the bed, that I’ve slept on for who knows how many nights.”) So what’s the purpose of revealing her sloppier side to fans? Well, Jessa says she’s hoping to convey this simple message: “Some of y’all may be thinking, ‘C’mon now, it only takes a few min to dust or wipe down a mirror…’ I know, it is so. My reminder today has been that the same is true of the needs of the little people in our lives,” she wrote. “I might think ‘I don’t have time right now.’ But it only takes a few min… here and there.” She added: “Not trying to pit a clean house against interaction with kids– sometimes both are possible, tho often they do seem in opposition to one another. “Just remember, whatever projects are pulling at your time and attention today, don’t forget to make time for the people around you. There's so much talk about Katy Perry vs. Taylor Swift these days that it's easy to forget the current queens of pop aren't the first to wage all-out war against one another. That honor probably belongs to a couple greasy-haired dudes who got in a fight backstage at The Ed Sullivan Show , but who cares about them? We want to rewind a bit, but not all the way back to the days when people paid money for music, like freakin' barbarians. This story takes us back to the early 2000s, a time when many Americans innocently thought we'd elected the biggest jackass president this country would ever know. In 2001, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, and Mya all collaborated on a cover of “Lady Marmalade” for the soundtrack to Moulin Rouge , aka The One Where Nicole Kidman Tried to Sing . Apparently, the former two got into a disagreement about who would sing what part, and there was very nearly a physical altercation. Pink has since attained the status of living legend, while Christina spent some time on that show with the spinning chairs. Anyway, Pink appeared on Watch What Happens Live last night, where she told Andy Cohen about the time that Christina tried to punch her: “We were super young and super new at the whole thing, and I think I’m an alpha, and she’s an alpha,” she said during the show's “Plead the Fifth” segment. “I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal. We’re just very different, we’re very different. And we were very young and new.” Unable to suppress laughter, Pink added: “She swung on me in a club. Hilarious … I was like, 'What's happening?'” Pink says she and X-tina are “fine” these days, which is something Aguilera should be very happy about. That would've been a severely one-sided fight.

Lindsay Lohan: Where Were These #MeToo Stories When I Was Abused?!

Hey, remember a hot minute ago when Lindsay Lohan rushed to Harvey Weinstein’s defense , shamed his wife for leaving him, and suggested that because Weinstein had never assaulted her , these multiple other actresses must be lying? That was what you call a “bad take.” Well, Lindsay isn’t done commenting … unfortunately.  We remember Lindsay Lohan’s history with domestic violence all too well. As with so many aspects of Lindsay’s life, she deserved so much better. There was an alarming photo of Lindsay’s injured leg shared early in 2016 along with a somewhat cryptic message. At the time, the world didn’t even know which person she was vaguely alleging of having done it. It wasn’t until months later that Lindsay Lohan finally accused Egor Tarabasov of domestic violence . Alarmingly, she said at the time that no woman should stay with a man who hits her if he refuses to apologize , as if abusers don’t apologize all of the time and as if an apology for something so vile could change anything. But fans from all around the world read the harrowing tale. Lindsay, who had already been so much — from her awful parents to her child stardom — should never have had to endure domestic abuse. No one should. Fans only grew more worried when Lindsay Lohan sported a tremendous bruise on her arm around that same time. And all of this was after Lindsay cried out for help after  Egor allegedly tried to strangle her . She revealed that she ultimately realized that you can’t stay in a relationship just for love, and she’s absolutely right. That is why fans were so, so disappointed in Lindsay Lohan’s response to the Harvey Weinstein scandal . At first, you remember, he was accused of being a serial harasser. That was before women came forward and accused him of being a serial rapist, as well. But sexual harassment is a big deal all on its own. And it impacts millions of women every single day. Many fans were crushed by Lindsay’s support of Weinstein. (When his own wife leaves him, maybe it’s well past time to give him the benefit of the doubt) Just because Weinstein had never invited Lindsay, personally, to come and shower in front of him isn’t exactly proof that he never did that — or worse — to other women. Apparently, Lindsay Lohan saw the reactions as accusations that she isn’t pro-woman. And, yeah, that was at least part of the response. She posted and deleted a defense of herself … and included a very accusatory tone. Her initial caption read: “Whatever anyone says, I am FOR #womenempowerment as if most women in America cared how I was abused by my exfiancé… when not one person stood up for me while he was abusing me…” She seems to be ignoring countless people who posted concern for her and condemnation of her (now former!) fiance. (I know that I certainly wrote about it at the time) “You could only imagine what it feels like to come out as a #strongwoman BUT, acknowledge this, we all make our own choices and wake up in our own beds in the morning.” That line does not make much sense. At all. “I prefer to go to my home and wake up alone. #BESTRONG let us not blame anyone as #karma will always takes its toll. #womensrights” Note that her first hashtag reads “be strong,” not “best rong.” So … Lindsay spiraled into incoherence in a way that we normally expect from people who are still mastering English and are not native speakers. But you know what? Anyone can find that their thoughts didn’t quite translate to paper. In any case, Lindsay Lohan deleted that original caption and replaced it. The  Mean Girls  star and tabloid legend has changed her tune … up to a point. At the very least, she’s much more succinct and no longer seems to be trying to shame the women of America. “Whatever anyone says, I am FOR #womenempowerment #strongwoman #BESTRONG #karma will always takes its toll. #womensrights” We guess that, to Lindsay, she saw a fan response but not a massive movement that she now sees in the wake of the Weinstein scandal.
