When Hollywood legend Kim Novak presented at the Academy Awards in February, the iconic actress didn’t receive quite the reaction she expected from her rare public appearance. Now, the actress is speaking out against the “bullies” and “jabs.” In a lengthy post on her Facebook page, Novak admits to receiving “fat injections” in her face in order to smooth out her skin and blames her speech difficulties on the fact that she had “taken a pill to relax.” “After the Oscars, I was bullied by the press and the public on the Internet and TV,” Novak writes. “However, I will no longer hold myself back from speaking out against bullies. We can’t let people get away with affecting our lives.” Novak claims the cruel criticism she received triggered a personal “tailspin” and she goes on to specifically call out Donald Trump who tweeted that Kim should “sue her plastic surgeon” during her presentation. The Donald ragging on other peoples appearances? We’re definitely Team Kim on this one.  She may have not brought her A-game on Oscar night, but Kim is 81! At that age, we can definitely understand the desire to pop a Xanax and visit the plastic surgeon before appearing on TV in front of millions. Demi Lovato will not be torn down by her haters. She made this clear as she defiantly advised her Twitter fans to choose kindness over cruelty this week. This positive message came after she was bullied by an unoriginal, anonymous troll who called the pop star “fatty.” Her response? Taking the high road. Demi Lovato Responds to ‘Fatty’ Tweet Instead of attacking the user who called her “fatty,” one of Demi’s fans responded with a simple message: “you are beautiful.” Lovato gave her a re-tweet. Abandoned Dog Befriends Paralyzed Cat: Amazing Video

Prepare yourselves for an extra special story about a cat and a dog. A couple weeks ago, we reported on a feline who adopted a pit bull and helped nurse it back to health. Now, we’re very proud to present Ruth the cat and Idgie the dachshund. They were found abandoned at the end of a driveway in Florida last October and Ruth is partially paralyzed; she gets around by dragging her body with her front paws. And they’re best friends. The animals have been adopted by Hollywood Houndz Boutique & Spa, where owner Jacqueline Borum says they get endless attention. “We’ve seen friendships between dogs and cats before, but never anything like this. Chris Brown Rejects Assault Case Plea Bargain

Chris Brown appeared today inside a D.C. courtroom and – good news! – he didn’t punch anyone inside. But in even more surprising news, the singer did reject a plea bargain in conjunction with assault charges he faces after an October confrontation . According to TMZ sources, the prosecutor told a judge that he had offered Brown a deal that would have reduced the charge to simple assault… but the artist’s attorney turned it down. It’s unknown why at this time, but it is believed that Brown’s lawyer has not yet been given surveillance footage from the night in question. It allegedly depicts Brown getting into it with a man outside the W hotel around 4:30 a.m. on October 27. The incident started when Brown posed for a picture with a female and then two individuals rushed in to be included in the frame. From there, details remain sketchy, but Brown supposedly dropped a gay slur – and then dropped one of the men to the ground with a broken nose. Geragos is apparently waiting to see the video footage before agreeing to any deal. And we’re hoping to never see Brown and Karrueche Tran pose like this again.

Dad Responds to Daycare Questionnaire, Says 11-Month Old Loves to Nosepick

Teachers often tell kids in school that there are no dumb questions. That may or may not be true. But there are definitely dumb questionnaires. To wit: a father recently received a document from his child’s daycare that asked him to list her strengths, her goals, her interests and more. His child, by the way, is 11 months old. So the parent went ahead and actually answered most categories honestly… he just did so in a totally hilarious manner. See what we mean here: Wrote the user who posted this on Reddit, of his friend: “When daycare, completely seriously, asks my friend to answer stupid questions on behalf of his 11 month old daughter, it is inevitable that stupid answers is what they’ll receive.” We totally wanna hang out with this dad and the mom who made her cyber bullying daughter sell her iPod .

Ignorance is a disease . P.R. Exec Tweets Racist Joke According to NY Daily News: It’s sounding more like OK Stupid. The communications director for media conglomerate IAC which represents brands like OKCupid is in boiling water after publicly tweeting a racist joke that’s getting few if any laughs. Sacco, whose represented brands also include Vimeo and CollegeHumor, was not immediately available for comment. But her boss was. “This is an outrageous, offensive comment that does not reflect the views and values of IAC,” the company, operated by billionaire media executive Barry Diller, said in a statement to The News. “Unfortunately, the employee in question is unreachable on an international flight, but this is a very serious matter and we are taking appropriate action.” What that appropriate action may be for the public relations head, who describes herself as a “troublemaker on the side” on her Twitter account, may not be known until she lands. Meanwhile public outrage over her dubbed “worst tweet of year” was seen piling high with one vengeful twitter user publishing her cell phone number online. “She gon get that message I left,” Twitter user 070180 wrote after snagging the digits. When asked by another user what that message was, he replied: “That from this day forward she will never feel comfortable around us. Because of her actions. Not ours.” Nothing says “we think her comment is outrageous” like firing her azz.

WATCH: ‘Elysium’ Trailer − Matt Damon’s HULC Suit Vs. Lockheed-Martin’s

The new trailer for Neill Blomkamp’s  Elysium  features some interesting contraptions, as you might expect from a science-fiction movie set 150 years into the future. And at least one of them is very plausible. HULC, Not Hulk I’m not so sure about the viability of a cancer-curing body scanner that calls to mind the autodoc from Prometheus ,  or lethal gun-wielding robots, but the exo-suit that Matt Damon wears to invade idyllic Elysium in search of a cure for his radiation sickness (and, no doubt, so much more)  is already in development at defense contractor Lockheed-Martin . It’s called the Human Universal Load Carrier or HULC , for short.  This is how Lockheed-Martin’s website describes it: The HULC is a completely un-tethered, hydraulic-powered anthropomorphic exoskeleton that provides users with the ability to carry loads of up to 200 pounds for extended periods of time and over all terrains. Its flexible design allows for deep squats, crawls and upper-body lifting. An onboard micro-computer ensures the exoskeleton moves in concert with the individual. The HULC’s modularity allows for major components to be swapped out in the field. Additionally, its unique power-saving design allows the user to operate on battery power for extended missions. When battery power is low, the HULC system continues to support the loads and does not restrict mobility. HULC can also support a maximum load, with or without power. I’ve posted a HULC demo clip below, but, first, check out the Elysium trailer and poster, which will give you a better idea of Damon’s exo-suit.   Blomkamp told Yahoo! that it will carry the Kawasaki logo because he wanted the contraption to be like the “motocross kind of version of a strength suit.” Given some of the squirm-inducing scenes in Blomkamp’s superb last film,  District 9 , Damon’s Kawasaki suit will require some kind of gory and painful connection to his brain, spinal cord or some other part of his body . (The trailer shows part of the apparatus being attached to his skull with screws. I hope they used some strong bone-appropriate anchors.) I don’t know what a boom saw is, but, judging from the trailer, it will be used in the procedure. Twitter Sex Scandal: Vine App Features Adult Video in Editor’s Picks

Vine’s recent “sex scandal” became a nightmare for parent company Twitter after an adult video appeared in the app’s “Editor’s Picks” this week. Twitter rushed to keep its younger users away from questionable content Tuesday, while Vine announced it had blocked searches for adult material. Hashtags like #sex and #porn no longer turn up results. The social network, currently valued at $9 billion, recently tuned up its photo capabilities to compete with Instagram and launched its video service , Vine, last week. Vine lets users make and share six-second looped videos. Some of its users turned it to less tasteful ends, however, a problem highlighted when Vine accidentally featured a video called “Dildoplay” in its Editor’s Picks. Twitter apologized in a statement: “A human error resulted in a video with adult content becoming one of the videos in Editor’s Picks, and upon realizing this mistake we removed the video immediately.” “We apologize to our users for the error.” It wasn’t necessarily a one-off, however. Vinepeek, a new site that lets you watch streams of so-called Vines from around the world, began to feature porn as well. Over the weekend technology websites reported that a simple search for “#porn” in the new app brought up many videos with, yes, hardcore porn. Funny how that works. Vine says that users can report this content and the video will be covered with a warning message and that if a video violates its guidelines it will be removed. “Uploaded videos reported and determined to violate our guidelines will be removed, and the user account that posted the video may be terminated,” Twitter said. Vine’s Terms of Service does not explicitly say anything about pornography or nudity, however, and clearly there are filtering needs that must be met here.

Kim Kardashian on Instagram Kontroversy: All About My Kareer!

Let’s give Kim Kardashian points for honesty. And hilarity. The giant-breasted reality star has openly taken issue with Instagram because the company’s new Terms of Service agreement can be interpreted as giving it permission to sell client photos without compensating the user. What is Kim’s main issue with this controversial addendum? “I just don’t think they should have the right to sell [our photos] to advertising companies on our behalf,” Kardashian told TMZ yesterday. “What if we don’t want to advertise what they want? HA! That’s a good one, Kim Kardashian. When was the last time you didn’t want to advertise with a company? Oh, right. When you weren’t paid for it. In reality, this is an understandable point of contention for Kim and any Instagram client, although the company’s CEO says the wording has been misunderstood and Instagram cannot actually sell your likeness to the highest bidder. Still, will Kim take her nearly six million followers to another photo-sharing site? “I just hope they revise it,” she said ominously of the Instagram policy.
