But things escalated quickly when Govan left a few petty comments under the post to remind him that things ain’t sweet between the two and Barnes followed up with a clap back of his own. Well that escalated quickly. #MattBarnes birthday salute to ex wife #GloriaGovan yesterday ended with court battle talk. https://t.co/BIeU7oMKzG pic.twitter.com/9hm3Qc0wuT — YBF CHIC (@TheYBF) February 23, 2018 Barnes also followed up the birthday post with something more fitting for the relationship that we’ve grown to know over the years:
Source: Samir Hussein / Getty Danai Gurira is ready to lead the world’s fiercest warriors as Okoye in Black Panther . In preparation for the premiere of Black Panther on Friday, we’ve introduced you to Erik Killmonger and Nakia, now it’s time for you to get acquainted with Okoye! Okoye is the one you’ve seen piloting a magnificent airship into Wakanda in Black Panther trailers and teasers. As she commands the skies, so to does she command the Dora Milaje on the ground. She is their general, and there is no one more fit for the role than her. In the main Marvel comics Universe (aka Earth-616), the Dora Milaje had been inactive for a while before T’Challa’s reign. When he reactivated it, both Nakia and Okoye were natural choices for the job. However, only one of them could be in charge of the girls. Although they are devoted Dora Milaje, they’re motivated by very different things. Nakia has feelings involved due to her romantic past with T’Challa, but Okoye is a woman on a mission. As the lead member of the Dore Milaje, Okoye is one of T’Challa’s wives in waiting, but she’s not terribly interested in him. In fact, she’s got feelings for another member of the Dora Milaje, Ayo. (You’ll remember Ayo as the woman who had Black Widow shook in Captain America: Civil War.) Sadly, we may not get a chance to see Okoye and Ayo’s relationship. According to Screen Crush , an earlier version of Black Panther featured a brief moment of flirtation between the two, but more recent cuts have deleted the scene. Will the editors return that wink to their romance in the final version of Black Panther? We’ll have to find out starting Friday! Issa Rae is clearly having one of the best years ever…and she definitely deserves it! Not only is her critically-acclaimed and ratings hit show Insecure killing it in its second season, but she has also graced magazine covers, walked high-profile red carpets and been honored for her inspiring talent and vision. Now, she can add movie star to her resume, as she was just cast in the highly-anticipated film The Hate U Give . . @IssaRae joins the cast of film adaptation of BLM-inspired novel, 'The Hate U Give,' led by Amandla Stenberg https://t.co/QjhYJV9lVK pic.twitter.com/fxy02YWXXm — Shadow And Act (@shadowandact) August 24, 2017 Based on the popular Black Lives Matter-inspired novel, The Hate U Give is the upcoming film adaptation that stars Amandla Stenberg and Regina Hall (as Stenberg’s character’s mother.) The casting process has been ongoing for months, with Common and The New Edition Story ’s breakout star Algee Smith recently signing on as well. Shadow and Act reports that Issa Rae has been cast in the drama as an activist who provides support to Stenberg’s character Starr. The synopsis of The Hate U Give reads: “The Hate U Give” tells the story of 16-year-old Starr (portrayed by Stenberg), who navigates between the poverty-stricken slum she has grown up in and the upper-crust suburban prep school she attends. Her life is up-ended when she is an eyewitness to a police officer shooting her best friend, Khalil (Smith), who turns out to have been unarmed during the confrontation – but may or may not have been a drug dealer. As Starr finds herself even more torn between the two vastly different worlds she inhabits, she also has to contend with speaking her truth and, in the process, trying to stay alive herself. The novel was written by Angel Thomas, who was a student in Belhaven University’s creative writing program at the time she came up with the idea for The Hate U Give in 2011. It was originally written as a short story for her senior-year project, but it quickly expanded into a novel-length work. The title comes from a tattoo worn by Tupac Shakur (with the acronym T.H.U.G.) I know it’s supposed to be my job to stay on top of these kinds of things, but right now, I forget if Josephine Skriver here is a Victoria’s Secret model or just another Instagram model. It’s getting harder and harder to tell the difference between the two these days. And just to be clear, I’m not complaining. The more hotties putting up daily selfies on the Internet, the better, as far as me and the Little Tuna are concerned. Enjoy.

Doesn't it feel like we've been dealing with divorce drama from Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin for years now? Maybe it's because we've seen so much of it play out on Teen Mom 2, but whatever the reason, it's been overwhelming for a while now. We know that their issues began in late 2015, after Javi blamed Kailyn for a miscarriage. After that, the timeline gets a little muddled: they've said that they legally separated that December, meaning that while Javi was deployed, they technically weren't together. But on the show, we saw them try to work out their relationship while he was overseas. It seems like even though things were over between them for a long time, they were hesitant to end things officially. After all, their divorce wasn't finalized until this past winter . When Javi came home last summer, we saw him desperate to try to make things work with Kailyn, and we saw him react poorly when she wasn't receptive to his attempts. It's all very confusing, and very sad. And with this new sneak peek from the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2, it's clear that things haven't gotten much better. In the clip, Javi drops Lincoln off at Kailyn's home after spending some time with him — by the way, Lincoln is still as adorable as ever. Javi tells her that he has to go to his lawyer's office to sign some papers, then the divorce would be official. “No turning back now,” he says. “This is it. We made it.” “Or we didn't make it,” Kailyn points out. It's clearly an awkward moment between the two of them, and Javi only makes it more awkward by going in for a kiss. Yes, after informing his soon-to-be ex-wife that their marriage is almost over forever, he thinks it's a good time for a kiss. But hey, at least it seems like they don't hate each other as much as they did last season! Then again, she's not visibly pregnant here, so who knows what these new episodes will bring. Check out Kailyn and Javi's current state of affairs in the video below:
Last night, the world learned the tragic news that beloved MTV star Christohper Boykin had passed away at the age of 45. Better known to many fans as “Big Black” from his time on the series Rob & Big, Boykin was one of the network’s biggest stars at one point. At the time of his passing, his exact cause of death was unknown. Now, People magazine is reporting, citing sources close to the situation, that it was a heart attack that claimed Boykin’s life . Once standing at 6’6″ 375 pounds, Chris had reportedly slimmed down to a tremendous degree in recent months. Sadly, despite his increased focus on fitness, doctors were unable to save the beloved media personality’s life. Boykin has been mourned by numerous celebrities on social media as news of his untimely death circulated Tuesday. Most notable among them is his former co-star, Dyrdek. “My heart is broken,” the pro skateboarder and longtime network fixture wrote in a series of posts on Twitter upon hearing the news. “I don’t want write this post. I don’t want to believe that this is reality. I am so thankful for you,” he wrote, clearly filled with emotion. “We truly were brothers that lived an unexpected unforgettable adventure. I just can’t fathom that it would end so suddenly. You will forever be in my heart.” Last year, in an uncharacteristically candid interview, Dyrdek revealed that his friendship with Boykin had been incredibly strained in the past. At one point, he believed it permanently came to an end as a result of the pressures of fame and the pair’s dovetailing career trajectories: “I think he didn’t want to be known for like the sidekick,” he said. “So that created a lot of that tension between me and him.” He added that while their reality series brought them fame and fortune neither had ever dreamed of, it also did irreparable damage. “I think it was more the fundamental struggle of wanting to not be so connected to each other,” Dyrdek added of the friendship’s dynamic. “Ultimately, we had a big blowout creatively over an idea … things were so tense at certain times … it’s funny now that I think about it.” View Slideshow: 25 Reality Stars Who Died Way Too Young Dyrdek added: “But we literally would film some of the funniest things that we have ever done and would be losing it.” “And then walk away and not talk to each other.” The rift between the two talents brought Rob & Big to a premature end, but Dyrdek and Boykin seemed to have somewhat patched things up. in the months prior to Chris’ death, with Dyrdek recently posting a throwback photo of their time together on set. Our thoughts go out to the Boykin family. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2017: In Memoriam
Tiny And TI May Be On The Road To Reconciliation It looks like there may be a tiny glimmer of hope yet when it comes to Tiny and TI’s union. Even though Tiny filed a detailed divorce decree to end things between her and Tip once and for all early this month…the two seem to be reaching a common ground. Tiny revealed that she and TI have been living separately for some time. But sources tell TMZ that things have warmed up quite a bit between the two in the weeks since Tiny filed those papers. Aside from kicking it with Tiny and the kiddies on Christmas, friends say the couple has met up at least twice, and on one occasion “things got romantic.” But a little familiar passion didn’t quite quell the major issues in their relationship. The major word that keeps popping up in their conversations is — of course — TRUST . To cap it all off, other sources also tell Page Six that Tiny filed the papers as more of a “warning shot” than anything…particularly in response to that whole Ana Montana fiasco from last summer: “I have a feeling they will get back together . . . I think she did this to stop his shenanigans . . . Earlier this year he . . . was very public with a side chick named [Analicia Chaves, a k a] Ana Montana.” At the end of the day, the couple has been together for almost 20 years at this point. There is a lot of history and love there…regardless of how rough 2016 has been for them. So maybe this is just a rough patch… Do you think they can make it?? Splash/WENN
