We’re very sorry to break it you, North West . But your parents aren’t in love. We know this may be difficult to hear, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are living a “FAKE MARRIAGE,” according to the latest In Touch Weekly cover. The stars allegedly sleep in “separate bedrooms” and engage in “scripted public appearances,” with their relationship no more than a “business deal” between money-hungry celebrities. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard Kim and Kanye are miserable together . But it is the most detailed report we’ve encountered yet on the subject… although it’s important to remember: this is the same magazine that claimed Kimye was done after 58 days . So perhaps we should take its claims with a grain of salt the size of Kanye’s ego. Or Kim’s butt. Whichever you prefer. Here’s the thing: even though we doubt the Kardashian/West marriage is a “charade fueled by image and greed,” as alleged in this article, would anyone be totally shocked if it were true? Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried: Getting Married in January!

One year ago this week, The Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried got engaged on the show after he earned her coveted final rose. Now, Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray own the majority of that spotlight, but the fire still burns between Des and Chris, who are still together and happy. And getting married this winter! Desiree Hartsock’s bridal shower was held in Hollywood last weekend, and upon her return to Seattle, where they now live, they dished on their plans. They are aiming for this coming January, Hartsock and Siegfried say, and are “thinking an intimate wedding with about 125 people,” according to Chris. Will ABC air it? The two are open to that as well. “We are up for sharing it,” says Siegfried . “Our entire love story unfolded in front of (millions of viewers.)” Hartsock, a bridal stylist for eight years in Southern California, has designed her own wedding dress, having teamed up with Maggie Sottero designs. Desiree is also launching her own line of wedding dresses – a combination of Art Deco and modern – with Sottero, along with her own jewelry line. Siegfried, like Dorfman’s fiance Josh Murray , is a former professional baseball player (he pitched for four years in the minors) who now works in finance. Take note, guys who enjoyed a minor league baseball career but couldn’t make it to the big leagues so they got a real job but haven’t landed a hot brunette yet. Des and Chris are also returning to reality TV, albeit briefly. The two will apparently be visiting Bachelor in Paradise this season to serve as couples’ “love doctors.” “We seem to have an immense amount of expertise with this relationship thing,” jokes Siegfried, who says they agreed to that brief role to help out. Whether the wedding goes down in January or a little later, on TV or in private, it looks like the matchmaking show has another bona fide success story on its hands. Is Desiree Hartsock already bored with fiance Chris Siegfried? People are probably just reading into this too much, but here’s how that rumor got started: She asked for help on Twitter, writing, “Ready for a relaxing date night with @ChrisRSiegfried! What are your favorite date night things to do??? Need ideas.” Desiree Hartsock , mind you, has been engaged all of two months. Clearly, this could be just a thing someone Tweets. We realize. And maybe a fan will come through with a truly awesome Seattle-area date idea . Still, part of you has to wonder why she would ask that, given the image of the “honeymoon phase” that she tries to project pretty much at all times. It’s just a little bit strange, especially given the fact that: They live in the vibrant city of Seattle, which has a lot to offer You’d think doing nothing would be perfect for a couple SO in love (or so they claim). Is that not what the honeymoon phase is about? Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried: Will it Last? Guess if your courtship involved climbing mountains, repelling down buildings, dining at five-star eateries and making out on tropical beaches, real life is boring? Desiree Hartsock, Chris Siegfried Silence Critics With Labor Day Love-Fest

Despite all the online chatter, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are not throwing in the towel just yet … if they were ever even close to doing so. Des’ Twitter feed is basically a live streaming look at a couple who certainly appears to be happy, in love and touching each other as much as possible. A far cry from rumors that it’s already over or that they’re cracking under the pressure of going public after their unusual courtship on The Bachelorette . Desiree posted photos of herself and Chris playing volleyball over the weekend, Chris shirtless and putting together furniture, Chris’ poetry on the iPad, etc. She also mentioned treating themselves to massages. Safe to say that if this duo is going through hard times, they are masking it awfully aggressively. For some, Desiree Hartsock sharing her love with the social media-verse 24/7 can’t erase how crushed she was when Brooks Forester dumped her. And that’s fine. So it goes with reality TV love. But is it possible – nay, likely at this point – that her obvious second choice Chris was still the best? And that she’s – gasp! – happier than ever, as advertised? Critics will say she’s overcompensating, trying too hard and going all in hoping Chris will replace Brooks in the end, when it’s destined to fail. Fans say that things work out for a reason, and however unorthodox it was to watch Des and Chris Siegfried get together, that doesn’t mean it’s not perfect. Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried: Cracking Under the Pressure?

Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried of The Bachelorette really want us to believe everything is fine between them. Blissful, in fact. But is that really the case? From celebrity gossip reports that it’s already over, to cryptic Tweets and Des’ brother meeting up with her ex (more on that shortly), it’s been a strange week. Desiree Hartsock, for her part, Tweeted earlier this week, “It’s not about looking into each others eyes but looking out in the same direction. – Ice T” Ever since the show ended, some have felt that she’s been defending her relationship with Chris Siegfried, and is simply trying too hard with stuff like this. Reading too much into it? Probably. But this has been a trend. Chris, for his part, posted a few days back, “Enjoying my weekend with @DesHartsock and some friends in Chelan! Peaceful getaway! #MuchNeeded” Much needed getaway from what? The scrutiny of being in the public eye and having your relationship picked apart cannot be easy, but it seems like they’re letting it get to them a bit. There will be vocal naysayers. This is part of the deal with The Bachelorette. It’s as if they’re trying to make a point and quiet the chatter that can’t be silenced. And then there’s this: Just weeks after he said his sister obviously settled for her second choice on The Bachelorette finale, Nate Hartsock is back at it … with Zak Waddell. Yes, he’s hanging out with the fourth-place finisher this season. Why and what that means for Des, we have no idea, but it’s a little bit strange, no? Zak tweeted a photo with Nate, saying, “So great meeting Desiree’s brother @nate_hartsock83 What a great person! Chris Siegfried, Desiree Hartsock Fiance & The Bachelorette Winner, To Publish Poetry

Chris Siegfried, this year’s winner of The Bachelorette and Desiree Hartsock’s everlasting love, is publishing a book of his poetry, he revealed on Twitter. The book is called Diamonds + Hearts: A Poetic Memoir. While we admire Chris Siegfried for getting the girl and putting it all on the line, we’re not sure about his “prose.” It seems better suited for, say, The Bachelorette: “I step out of that limo / You, standing there so beautiful in that dress / I lost my breath for that moment / Then thought, getting down on one knee would be best.” Right? So sweet in that setting … and that’s about it. It’s unclear who is publishing this, but Siegfield notes in his tweet to “stay tuned” for more info. In the meantime, here’s one he co-wrote with Desiree Hartsock : Experiences we share together keep the memories close to heart, so that with time our love never parts. No matter the distance or the hours away, know that I’m somewhere thinking of you. Just as the waves crash into the shore, I long for the day that I will be with you forevermore . Jake Pavelka on Gia Allemand Death: Devastated and in Shock

Jake Pavelka, who once wooed Gia Allemand on The Bachelor, had to pull his car over to the side of the road when he learned his former fling had died. He said he could not stop crying when he heard the shocking news. Allemand, who was taken off life support Wednesday after an apparent suicide attempt , was “an angel,” he says, adding, “I am in complete shock.” Jake Pavelka is “devastated” at the loss of “one of the sweetest people I have ever known and a very dear friend. My heart goes out to her family.” “We have lost an angel today.” Gia Allemand died yesterday after being found two days earlier, unresponsive in her New Orleans home on Monday, by her boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson. He called 911 and Gia was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The 29-year-old model was placed on life support and eventually passed away. Family, friends and fans are mourning the loss of the New York native. Gia Allemand Dies at 29 “I’m shocked right now,” former Bachelorette star Ed Swiderski says. “I was just with her last week. We were all in New York together and I just can’t believe it.” “She could not have been in better spirits when I saw her seven days ago. She could not have been more of a crisp, clean person. She just defined [healthy].” “Everyone is freaking out,” he adds. “I’m getting calls from all over. We’re all in shock. She was, it’s hard to say ‘was’ because I just saw her, a beautiful soul.” “Not only was she a beautiful person, but she was super sweet.” “She was so full of life. It’s just so sad.”

Olinguito Discovered in South America; New Mammal Looks Like Cross Between Dog, Cat and Bear!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the Olinguito! The Smithsonian Institution announced today that a new mammal has been discovered in the forests of Colombia and Ecuador. He belongs to the raccoon family, looks sort of like a cat crossed with a teddy bear and is the first new carnivore on record in 35 years. Olinguito Discovered: Meet New Mammal! “It was like nothing I’d ever seen before,” scientist Kristofer Helgen said of first laying eyes upon the Olinguito at at Chicago’s Field Museum. It was apparently clear right away that the teeth and skull were different than a similar mammal, the Olingo. Olinguitos mostly subsist on fruit, but they possess the teeth to eat meat. They also have thick, wool-like fur and measure about 2.5 feet in length. Helgen, ever the tease, said this discovery took place while investigating Olingos and that he and and his team have made what they think to be even bigger discoveries… but it may take another 10 years to announce them. In the meantime, come on: How cute is the Olinguito?!? On a scale of grumpy cat to baby panda sucking its thumb ?

Desiree Hartsock "Obviously Settled" For Chris Siegfried, Her Brother Nate Says

Desiree Hartsock’s brother Nate is at it again, offering candid assessments of her love life. This time, he says his sis “settled” for fiance Chris Siegfried. Nate Hartsock famously ruffled feathers last year when Desiree appeared on The Bachelor, bluntly taking his sibling and suitor Sean Lowe to task. Now he’s turned his sights on Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried – who he admittedly likes, but was not her first choice by any stretch of the imagination. “Desiree went on the show because she wanted to get married so badly and she wanted the family and to have kids,” Nate told Life & Style magazine. “Obviously Chris wasn’t her first choice. I think it’s obvious she settled for him.” He’s not hating, though. In fact, not only has Nate signed off on this potential future brother-in-law, he thinks a wedding WILL be in their future: “Desiree is at the point where she’s ‘all in’ with Chris, and I think he is just happy he gets to be with her,” he adds, predicting they will wed within a year. “She is happy with him and with how it ended up. I think this will be a short engagement, I could see a wedding happening even quicker than next summer.” Desiree Hartsock, Chris Siegfried ET Interview Viewers expected Desiree to reject both finalists, Chris Siegfried and Drew Kenney, after she was dumped by #1 pick Brooks Forester in epic fashion. But Nate called out Reality Steve and The Bachelorette spoilers on Twitter, and sure enough, she shook it off and accepted Chris’ proposal on the finale. No one saw it coming, including Nate or Des. But that doesn’t mean it won’t last, and if he says there’s a good shot, you know they’re doing well. If they weren’t, well, he’d be the dude who’d tell it to you straight. Desiree has been active on Twitter this week, expressing sadness over the passing of Gia Allemand , but joy at the fact that she moved in with Chris. The Bachelorette stars Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried have been (publicly) engaged all of a week, and fans still aren’t totally sold on them as a couple. They’re certainly both doing their best to change that. Reports that they were moving in together immediately after the finale were true. They made sure everyone knew about the big move on social media! The future Mrs. Siegfried is now a Seattle resident. She wrote, along with pics of a going-away party: “On the road again! 😉 @ChrisRSiegfried  #newchapter #roadtrips #mylove #goodbyeCali #helloSeattle.” “Always hard to say goodbye… but hello to my new chapter with @chrisrsiegfried.” Upon arriving, Desiree Hartsock shared, “Home. Sweet. Home. #Seattle.” It’s not out of the realm of possibility that ABC is pushing the frequent Instagram and Twitter use to keep viewers engaged and convince us they’re in love. Or maybe they just are that much in love and have to share every detail. Even it’s all genuine, some see it as an attempt to prove that he’s no “rebound” or “second choice,” and that there’s nothing about the show that’s fake. Only time will tell, of course, if the “honeymoon” phase wears off, or whether they can adapt to major life changes after such an unusual, whirlwind courtship.
