Toddler Who Shot Herself Expected To Survive Well this is good news . Via WSBTV : Authorities in NW Georgia say a 2-year-old girl who shot herself just below the navel is expected to survive. Murray County Sheriff’s Detective Brett Morrison tells the Dalton Daily Citizen that no major organs were damaged when the girl shot herself Thursday morning. Morrison says the girl is in the intensive care unit at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Sheriff Gary Langford says the gun the girl shot herself with belonged to her father. Deputy Chief Brian Ingle says charges aren’t expected to be filed but the Department of Family and Children Services is investigating the shooting. The girl’s name hasn’t been released. How did the parents manage to let her get her hands on a gun in the first place? SMH.

Friday night on Z Nation Season 1 Episode 3, survivors encountered a group of psycho outlaws as they made their way through the City of Brotherly Love. Needless to say, this stop in Philadelphia was one they would soon regret. Watch Z Nation Season 1 Episode 3 Online While Cassandra’s old group wants her back in the fold, she’s ditched them. Tobias has lost his mind, and the Black Summer appears to be to blame. He states with enthusiasm that “in time’s like these it’s eat or be eaten.” Yes, Cassandra and her counterparts are actually a bunch of cannibals, which made for the biggest takeaway from Z Nation Season 1 Episode 3 . Meanwhile, Addy and Mack are trying to contact Citizen Z in the Arctic, but Addy is soon captured by Tobias’ men and taken away to their camp. Addy ends up in a cave with live humans missing body parts. Normal. Garnett demands that Addy be released, and in return Tobias suggests a trade of Addy in exchange for his Sunshine, which Cassandra agrees to. Cassandra would’ve been left for dead by the men, but the ladies decide to rescue her, and soon enough, Citizen Z comes in and saves the day. Using an AM frequency, the heroes are able to blast music that cause the Z’s to follow their truck, and not a moment too soon, considering these events. By the time Garnett breaks through the gates, with zombies chomping at the bit, they overrun the camp, causing Tobias to seek shelter anywhere. He chooses to hide in the cavern that Addy found earlier. Big mistake. The victims there enjoy a nice meal courtesy of him, while Addy and Cassandra are both saved and have lived to fight another day … for now. Want to see all the action? Now that you can pick these Plan B pills up anywhere, will more kids start having sex and protection start coming off? In case you missed it, a federal judge has just made it legal for ANYBODY to pick up a pack of Plan B over the counter after a sex slip-up. Via Salon reports : A U.S. District Court has ordered the Food and Drug Administration to make the “morning after pill” available over-the-counter to women of all ages, overturning previous restrictions requiring women under the age of 17 to obtain a prescription for emergency contraception. According to the ruling, drug companies can now apply to make emergency contraception available without age restrictions and at stores other than just pharmacies and health clinics. U.S. District Court Judge Edward Korman said of the ruling: “The decisions of the Secretary with respect to Plan B One-Step and that of the FDA with respect to the Citizen Petition, which it had no choice but to deny, were arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable.” Nancy Northup, president and CEO for the Center for Reproductive Rights, the organization that renewed the lawsuit against the FDA, applauded the ruling: “This landmark court decision has struck a huge blow to the deep-seated discrimination that has for too long denied women access to a full range of safe and effective birth control methods.” “Women all over the country will no longer face arbitrary delays and barriers just to get emergency contraception,” she added. Georgia Residents Find Unsolicited Invitations To Join Hate Group On Their Lawns Local residents in Newton County, Georgia are in an uproar after unknown solicitors littered several Newton County front yards with fliers inviting community members to join a local hate group. Newton Citizen South Newton County residents notified the Newton County Sheriff’s Office Monday morning that unwelcome fliers were being distributed in their neighborhood. NCSO Public Information Officer Deputy Courtney Morrison said a homeowner living near County Line Road called around 10 a.m. to report that sometime between 6 p.m. Sunday night and 9 a.m. Monday, a flier had been left at the entrance of her driveway that contained an invitation to join the “clan.” The flier was enclosed in a plastic bag with a rock inside to weigh it down. It had a drawing of a robed klansman standing in front of a tree with writing that said, “Join the K*K — Loyal White Knights…” The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is currently monitoring the situation … the fliers are being reviewed to make sure they don’t contain any inappropriate information or threats,” Morrison said. “As far as we know, there are no active triple K chapters in Newton County and these fliers seem to be based out of North Carolina.” #Morrison said the Sheriff’s Office had recovered three other versions of the flier — one that reads, “Help Save Our Race” and shows a clansman in front of a Confederate flag; one with a clansman on a horse with a torch; and another one with a clansman on a horse holding up a cross that reads, “White Pride = White Power.” All have the same contact number and website reference. SMH. These fools need to either have a seat or get a hobby that doesn’t involve being a racist idiot.

It’s a triumph long in coming for the Hitchcock pic, which only first made Sight & Sound’s once-a-decade list in 1982 and has been working its way up the ranks of critical opinion since.
