As previously reported, the Duggar family recently welcomed their 20th child into their home under the most unlikely of circumstances. Now, Jim Bob and Michelle have introduced him on social media! For those who may have missed it last fall, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were awarded guardianship of an eight-year-old boy named Tyler. Yes, JBD and his wife, who produced 19 children biologically (or 20 if you count stillborn Jubilee) acquired this one a little bit differently. Michelle has a 23-year-old niece, Rachel Hutchins, who has fallen on very hard times – unemployed, she’s homeless, and on probation. Sad as that is, Rachel’s son Tyler, was paying the price, and her mom (Michelle’s sister), who had been taking care of him, had a stroke. With T’s mom and grandma both unable to continue looking after him, Michelle Duggar nobly stepped in and took charge of the situation. Jim Bob were granted custody of their great-nephew, seen here: Despite having formally added Tyler to the family, the Duggars have only mentioned the boy occasionally, until posting the photo above. The picture revealed that Tyler was about to “finish off” the jug. Of milk. That’s about as hardcore as beverages get for Duggar family members of any age, but hey, it does a body good and all that. Anyway, the post left fans asking questions about Tyler, but the family didn’t reply. Curiously, they asked for more privacy instead. The Duggar Family Blog, which is not run by, yet in close contact with the family, said that they sought privacy for the child at this time. “At this time, the Duggars are choosing not to reveal the details of the situation that resulted in them receiving guardianship of Tyler.” “We encourage fans to respect the [Duggar family’s] wishes, especially since there is a minor involved,” the site continued. That may change, and when and if “the family decides to share more information with the public, we will post it to our blog.” For now, though, we’re left with more questions than answers. Since the guardianship was granted by a judge, Tyler has been seen in numerous family photos, usually with little fanfare. He was seen participating in homeschooling with the other Duggars, to getting a pocket knife to match Josh’s son Michael’s . A family insider recently said that the guardianship is going well and that the family has high hopes of adopting him for good. That would be quite a storyline for Counting on Season 3, no? As it is, the Duggars are gearing up for a new season that features Jessa Duggar’s second pregnancy and Joy-Anna Duggar’s courtship . Moreover, we expect to see plenty of Jinger’s marriage to Jeremy Vuolo, and likely the announcement of Jill Duggar’s second pregnancy . The adoption story, though, would be the most surprising, and arguably the most heartwarming thing to happen in Tonititown in years. If not ever. Think about it for a second, Duggar Nation: Mating and procreating will always be the family’s meal ticket, but going above and beyond like this is both unexpected and beautiful. A little universally positive PR never hurt … just saying. View Slideshow: Duggar Family Members: The Official Power Rankings!
Sofia Vergara has very big boobs and talks in an accent. No, really! It's true! The actress has put both of these assets to impressive use of the past several years, rising all the way to the top of the television world on Modern Family. But it may be time for Vergara to find a new act. Because she stooped to a rather pathetic low at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards . On stage to introduce Sylvester Stallone’s three daughters as this year’s Miss Golden Globes, Vergara opened her remarks as follows: “Good evening. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has an anal tradition…” Get it?!? Because annual sounds a lot like anal . And because anal is a type of naughty sex some people enjoy and because Vergara is considered a major sex symbol. “I didn’t mean anal,” she then said, by way of correction. “I meant they have an anus tradition.” Get it?!? Because anus is another word for buttocks and it kind of, sort of also sounds like annual . Hilarious, right? How did Vergara manage to finish her introduction duties without stepping into any more verbal land mines? (And the heck is Miss Golden Globe still a thing in 2017?!?) Find out the answer to one of these two questions now:

Earlier today, we recounted the Golden Globes Best & Worst Dressed via a photo montage of stars on the red carpet. However, Lady Victoria Hervey was not included in that collection of photos because she wasn’t actually invited to the event. But also because her outfit deserves its own article. The British model and socialite attended a Golden Globes after-party hosted by Netflix and The Weinstein Company and wore a sheer dress that left VERY little to the imagination. Very, very, very, very little. Ogle it now and then sound off below: What do you think of this fashion statement?
A sewage pipe broke prior to the 71st annual Golden Globes last night, flooding the red carpet. But you know what really stunk at the event? E!’s ridiculous pre-show coverage… and we’re not talking about the Mani Cam for a change. Running through various Fun Facts about nominees throughout the evening, the network honed in on Best Comedy Actor nominee Michael J. Fox and actually wrote: Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991. Following some understandable backlash from viewers, producers issued an apology via a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “We regret the insensitive classification of Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s diagnosis during our live stream. We understand the serious nature of the disease and sincerely apologize.” Hey, Fun Fact: E! is the home of Keeping Up with the Kardashians . It has a lot more to apologize for than this.
While the rest of the world dissects the coming-out portion of Jodie Foster’s Golden Globes speech , I’d like to focus on another potential bombshell the 50-year-old filmmaker appeared to have dropped while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement: The suggestion that she was somehow retiring from the business. “This feels like the end of one era and the beginning of something else. Scary and exciting, and now what?” Foster told the Globes audience. “I may never be up on this stage again, on any stage, for that matter.” WATCH: Jodie Foster Wins The Golden Globes With Her ‘Coming Out’ Speech After the awards Foster clarified that remark , saying: “I could never stop acting. You’d have to drag me behind a team of horses. I’d like to be directing tomorrow. I’m more into it than I have ever been.” So which of those statements is closest to the truth? I’m going with the clarification. Her I-may-never-be-up-on-this-stage-or-any-stage line felt like an emotional and momentarily insecure remark made by a 50-year-old person who works in a mercilessly fickle business, particularly when it comes to middle-aged women. Yes, by turning to directing and producing and making some extremely smart acting choices, Foster has avoided the forced exile that so many actresses suffer once they hit their 40s, but that doesn’t mean she’s immune to an occasional crisis of confidence, especially when pouring her heart out before the world. Also, lifetime achievement awards come with a built-in punchline: the implication that the best of one’s career is in the rearview mirror. Foster’s back-stage clarification seems like a more level-headed parsing of her on-stage remark, and it’s also in line with a comment she made to The Hollywood Reporter in 2011, when she was promoting The Beaver: “I’ve reached that point where I don’t want to act very much anymore,” Foster told the publication. “I am much more interested in holding off on acting, after 45 years as an actor. It’s a long period of time to do the same thing.” That sounds to me like the early blueprint for Jodie Foster’s next act. When an acting role that inspires her comes along, she’ll take it, but, at the moment, directing moves the needle for her. According to IMDb , Foster’s future work commitments are sketchy, but after her role as Secretary Rhodes opposite Matt Damon in Elysium next summer, and her work behind the camera as the director of The Money Monster , which is in pre-production, she appears to be gravitating toward work behind the camera. I do think we’ll see Foster up on the stage at the Golden Globes, or the Oscars again, but the odds are it will be for her work as a director not as an actor. Jodie Foster reached a career milestone last night. Make that two. In addition to winning recognition from the Hollywood Foreign Press in the form of the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement, the 50-year-old actress acknowledged her same-sex-lovin’ status for the first time ever in public! Via US Weekly reports : Jodie Foster stole the show at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on Sunday Jan. 13. The actress and director, 50, accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement — and in her emotional, funny, wild speech, Foster finally, publicly acknowledged that she’s gay. “I have a sudden urge to say something i’ve never really been able to say in public,” Foster (clad in custom Armani) said, clutching her award. “A declaration that I’m a little nervous about, but, you know, loud and proud.” Teasing the audience, Foster continued . . . “I am . . . single!” As the crowd laughed, she added. “Yes I am, I’m kidding. I’m not really kidding, but kind of.” The resolutely private Oscar winner explained of her private romantic life: “i did my coming out a thousand years ago back in the stone age, in those quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family . . . Now I’m told every celebrity is expected [to share] the details of their private life with a reality show.” Joked Foster: “I’m not Honey Boo Boo child! That’s not me. It never was and it never will be. Don’t be sad . . . my reality show would be so boring!” The mother of two, who has been working as an actress since early childhood, said: “Seriously, if you had been public figure for the time you were a toddler. If you had to fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal and against all odds. . . Then maybe you too would value privacy against everything else . . Some day in the future, people will look back and remember how beautiful it once was. I have given everything up there…that’s reality show enough.” As stars (including close friend Mel Gibson) looked on tearfully, the Accused star then acknowledged her former female partner: “There is no way i could ever stand here without acknowledging one of the deepest loves of my life, my heroic co-parent, expert in love, my soul sister in life…Sydney Bernard.” She also thanked her sons with Bernard, who looked on from the audience, Charlie, 14, and Kit, 11. “I am so proud of our modern family,” calling her boys “my reasons to breathe.” Foster thanked her ailing mother, not present for the moment: “I love you, I love you, I love you. I hope that if I say this three times, it will magically perfectly enter into your your soul, you were a great mom.” Implying a retirement of sorts, she added: “I may never be up on this stage again, on any stage for that matter.” Backstage, Foster clarified to reporters that she has no plans to retire from acting. After all these years, it must come as a relief to just let it all hang out, riiiiight?
The 2012 Golden Globe Awards have come and gone. Homeland and Modern Family were recognized on the television side of things, The Artist and The Descendants represented in major movie categories and… … do you really care? Let’s face it: these events are all about the red carpet. That’s why THG staff members spent the majority of their day posting Fashion Face-Offs , pitting one celebrity against another in a showdown of styles. Based on those matchups, we can use actual poll results to recap the best and worst from the ceremony. WINNERS LOSERS
