Kendall Jenner Pepsi Ad: PULLED Following Controversy!

Well, we suppose this was inevitable. Yesterday, social media lost its collective mind over Pepsi’s attempt to cash in on the nation’s current socio-political strife with a commercial in which Kendall Jenner heals America’s ills by handing a cop a cold can of carbonated sugar water. If that sounds like an exaggeration, check out the ad for yourself … Kendall Jenner: SLAMMED For Tone Deaf Pepsi Commercial … it might be your last chance, as Pepsi announced today that in response to growing controversy , the ad will be pulled from its marketing rotation. The company issued the following statement moments ago: “Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace, and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologize.” (“Ya think?!” Twitter could be heard responding in unison.) The statement continued: “We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position.” The only one who should be apologizing to Kendall is her agent for not tossing the script for this tone-deaf piece of performative wokeness in the trash, then tossing the trash can out the window. If you don’t want have the three minutes to spare, or just want to save yourself the pain of watching a soda company try and fail to impress you with its social consciousness, here’s a rundown: Blonde Kendall is modeling when she sees a protest going on and decides to revert back to brunette #WokeBae Kendall and join the resistance. The protesters instantly recognize her #WokeBae-ness and are happy to have her. But what about the cops? Surely, they can’t be happy about this celebrity riling up the crowd, right? Ha! Don’t underestimate the power of #WokeBae Kendall. She cracks a cold Pepsi, and suddenly, the cops are … down with the cause? We’re not really sure. The ending is just one of the many things about this ad that’s confusing as hell, but the contrasting images above circulated on social media and help to underscore what so many found offensive about the spot. Initially, Pepsi went into damage control mode, releasing a statement reading: “This is a global ad that reflects people from different walks of life coming together in a spirit of harmony, and we think that’s an important message to convey.” Wisely, they since decided to change course. Curiously, Kendall has yet to speak out on the controversy at all. Somewhere, we’re sure Caitlyn Jenner is assuring her that none of this would have happened if Ted Cruz had gotten elected . Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra Respond to Backlash Over Fake Pregnancy Joke: Get a Sense of Humor, People!

Earlier today, we reported on one of the stranger Teen Mom social media controversies in recent memory. It all began when Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra began discussing their desire to have a third child on Twitter. It’s anyone’s guess as to why a married couple would need to have such a conversation on social media rather than, ya know, face-to-face, but while the parental figures of the Teen Mom franchise love ’em some free publicity, we doubt the Baltierras expected this : Things started out innocently enough, with Catelynn tweeting: “Wahhh I’m ready for another baby @TylerBaltierra.” Tyler (or T-Balz, as we like to call him) wrote back, “Me too babe.” That’s when Catelynn made the (arguably unfortunate) decision to tweet the following photo: She captioned the image: “Proud to announce a new baby Baltierra @tylerbaltierramtv.” Clearly it was a joke, but if you’ve looked at a calendar recently, you know that it’s 2017, and 2017 is the year in which everyone gets pissed off about everything. A number of fans didn’t think the joke was funny for a number of reasons. Some thought Lowell was really pregnant and … felt let down, we guess? Others thought the joke was insensitive to those who struggled with infertility. Still others blamed Tyler and Catelynn for that Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial . Okay, we’re joking about that last part, but in all seriousness, a good number of fans were legitimately outraged, and Tyler responded by basically informing them that he’d run out of f–ks to give long, long ago: “Apparently the world can’t take jokes anymore…don’t worry #TeenMomOG will be back on the air soon so we can disappoint you some more,” Tyler tweeted. “I actually love all of those critics. The fake profile pics & repetitive insults based on the lack of creativity…they just crack me up.” Asked if he could see how some might have thought the joke was insensitive, Tyler responded: “Yes, I’m the lowest piece of s–t, insensitive, entitled, asshole & a sorry excuse of a human being & I shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce.” Man, when that guy does sarcasm, he does sarcasm . For her part, Catelynn responded in a very different and much, much more confusing way: “Why don’t u just go back to ur real family?” she tweeted. “Not like we have mattered anyways.. to u it’s just the thought that mattered” Uh … we really have no idea as to what that might mean. We’re thinking Catelynn meant to subtweet someone, but instead she just tossed that bad boy out there with no context. Of course, we think it’s safe to say she wasn’t in a great mood when she wrote it, so you can be sure it will lead to more rumors about Catelynn and Tyler getting divorced . This has been Teen Mom Twitter Theater. Tune in the next time something pops off, which should be in 20 minutes or so.

Alec Baldwin: LYING About Sex Scene With Underage Nikki Reed?!

Alec Baldwin has a new memoir out, and like most things the sometimes-beloved actor is involved with, the release has not been without its share of controversy. Yes, Baldwin opens up on his feud with Trump . (He even admits they have some things in common!) And yes, he apologizes for being verbally abusive to Ireland Baldwin when she was a child (still hates her mom, though). But Baldwin likely penned those parts of his memoir knowing they would spark some conversations that would hopefully lead to a boost in sales. What he probably didn’t anticipate, however, is the brewing scandal surrounding the portion of the book that concerns a racy scene he shot with Nikki Reed in 2006 … when the actress was just 16 years old. Writing about his experiences shooting the indie film Mini’s First Time, Baldwin had this to say: “I was 47, and it never occurred to me to ask how old Nikki Reed was.” “When I found out, just as we finished, that she was 17, I flipped out on the producers, who had told me something different.” Now, Dana Brunetti, a producer on the film, is claiming Baldwin is doubly full of it: Brunetti says not only was Reed only 16 (not 17, as Baldwin claims), but that Baldwin was fully informed of her age before the scene was shot. “My first indie film was Mini’s starring @AlecBaldwin who knew @NikkiReed_I_Am was 16 (not 17) and he didn’t mind,” Brunetti tweeted last night. “In fact (Reed) was one of four actresses (Baldwin) had approved and her being the only one of those four repped by his own agency CAA.” Brunetti went into greater detail in an interview with The Hollywood Reporte r today, even going so far as to hit Baldwin with a Trump-related burn: “It’s a lie,” Brunetti tells the magazine. “I read it and was like, ‘What the f—. Of course he totally knew how old she was.” Brunetti added: “He knew before we even cast the movie. I think he’s been method acting Trump too much and he doesn’t know the difference between fake news anymore.” Fellow producer Ethan Astrowski backed up Brunetti’s version of events, stating: “What Alec says happened is not accurate. I completely corroborate that. We were on set every day.” The scene was perfectly legal due to the fact that Reed remained at least partially clothed, but lying about it is still not a good luck for Baldwin. And he was having such a great, relatively scandal-free year, too! Oh, well. There’s always 2018!

Can we get a slow clap for Hilaria Baldwin please? The wife of Alec Baldwin gave birth to her third child on Monday. To be even more specific and impressive, the wife of Alec Baldwin gave birth to her third child in about three years on Monday. She and the actor welcomed a little boy named Leonardo Angel Charles in New York City. Fast forward one day – yes, one day ! – and Baldwin stripped down to her underwear for a selfie we can’t imagine many other women being willing to take. “I took this yesterday when Leonardo was about 24 hours old,” the 32-year old yoga teacher wrote. “I did the same thing right after [second son] Rafael was born.” It’s true. She did. In that case, however, Hilaria waited four days before posting the selfie below: In both cases, Baldwin is standing in front of a mirror, her belly very much exposed. We’ve seen models and other women flaunt their impressive, sleek post-baby bodies six or eight weeks after giving birth in the past. But it’s hard to remember anyone doing it as soon as Hilaria is here. And it’s important to note: She isn’t showing off how much weight she has lost since becoming a mother. Quite the opposite, in fact. “It always makes me a bit nervous to do something like this,” she added on Wednesday. “But I feel that in the age of such strong body shaming, I want to do all that I can to normalize a real body and promote healthy self esteem.” What a great message, right? After a tumultuous first four episodes of the fall, what wild and crazy ISH went down Monday night on Teen Mom OG Season 3 Episode 5 ? Watch Teen Mom OG Season 3 Episode 5 Online On the latest installment of the MTV franchise, the fab four went through highs and lows as always – some more profound than others. Speaking of profound moments, ladies and gentlemen: “You know what I wonder? If the earth is a circle, how does the water always stay? Gravity?” Farrah Abraham said, dropping serious knowledge. “But the water is a little bit more heavier than gravity.”  “I love when clouds touch mountains or whatever.” Apropos of nothing, but we couldn’t not include that.  If you  watch Teen Mom OG online , you know that Farrah and Simon Saran have had a tumultuous relationship to say the very least. Finally, Catelynn Lowell went to rehab for mental health treatment, and Tyler Baltierra was in shambles, literally pained for his spouse. “[She’s] like a log just rolling through days,” he told Teen Mom: OG producers, reflecting on how Cate needs help and telling his wife: “You’re not f–ked up, honey. Things happen.” “As long as we don’t mask it no more, and we fix it,” he said, everything will be alright, and Catelynn seemed to take all that to heart.  “I probably wont come home and smoke [pot],” she said. “Actually, I should just start saying I wont come home and smoke ever again.” “I feel like I’m a crack addict or something.” Not a crack addict, but getting help is never a bad thing when you’re struggling. Alec Baldwin finally has a reason to calm down. The often-angry actor is all smiles at the moment because his wife just gave birth to the couple’s third child. It’s a boy and Hilaria Baldwin was feeling well enough after giving birth that she shared an Instagram photo of herself and the newborn soon after welcoming him into the universe. This is what she wrote as a caption to the sweet snapshot: “We are so pleased to introduce you to our new baby, Leonardo Angel Charles Baldwin. It was such a special day bringing him into this world.” The Oscar and Emmy-nominated actor also Tweeted a few details about his son’s birth, including with his message a link to the above image. “Leonardo Angel Charles, September 12, 6:51pm, New York City,” Baldwin wrote on social media. The famous couple got married in June 2012. That was just over four years ago, but they haven’t wasted any time at all when it comes to making many children together. Alec and Hilarious are also parents to a three-year old named Carmen and a 14 month-old named Rafael. The former 30 Rock star is also dad of model Ireland Baldwin, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger. A yoga instructor, Hilaria Baldwin often fills up her Instagram feed with photos of herself doing various poses… while lying alongside one of her adorable munchkins. To wit: In March, the Baldwins announced they were expecting their third child together, less than a year after welcoming little Rafael. “Ireland, Carmen, Rafael, Alec, and I are excited to share with you that we are going to have another addition to our family,” Hilaria captioned an Instagram picture of the couple kissing.  She added that it would be a “little boy” who would arrive “this fall.” And she was right! Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria kicked off 2015 by telling the world they are expecting their second child – and they did it in an especially adorable and romantic way. “The sun has set on 2014 and on my year of daily #hilariaypd,” Hilaria Baldwin wrote as a caption to the above image. “2015 is going to be very exciting as we are thrilled to announce we are expecting another little addition to our family!
