Corey Feldman, Former Childhood Friend Of Michael Jackson, Slams ‘Leaving Neverland’

“L eaving Neverland ” premiered Sunday and Monday on HBO and the documentary shocked the world with graphic accusations of long-rumored child abuse allegations against Michael Jackson . Many people have been speaking out about the documentary, including Corey Feldman , who was a child actor when he and Jackson became friends in the 1980s. Kelly’s Marriage To Aaliyah Feldman, who is most known for the 1985 film “The Goonies” told Page Six he was never assaulted by Jackson. “What happened with me [and Jackson] was strictly aboveboard,” Feldman said in the interview published Tuesday. “We’d be on the phone for hours. You’re talking about someone who has spent their life in the industry, who grew up in the industry and didn’t have a childhood and have friends and have sleepovers, I could relate. That was my life. We both came from abuse — abusive homes. There is not a lot of kindred minds that can connect on those levels or achieve the success he had. That was the common ground we shared.” He continued, “I am not saying they are lying. I wasn’t there. I can only go based on my experiences. Every victim’s voice must be taken seriously and must be heard. In no way would I ever intimate that I would want them to be silenced.” The 47-year-old added, “If God forbid these things were true, then there is a completely different Michael that I knew. I guess anything in the world of pedophilia is possible. All I can say is my heart goes out to both of them — and if for any reason the things are proven true, I would be in full support of them.” That said, he explained, “I don’t think we can go jumping on a bandwagon without evidence. That’s why there are court cases and cross-examinations … when [Jackson] was on trial [ending in 2005], he was cleared of all the charges … I don’t think anyone can take [the allegations] lightly, but I also don’t think we should go making a judgment on information we have that’s strictly conversation without backup.” Feldman blasted the parents. “To me, the most shocking and appalling part of this whole thing are the actions and misdeeds made by the parents of both children, and the decision to allow their kids to be unaccompanied in the presence of an adult they did not know and trust,” Feldman said. “As a father, I could not ever imagine allowing my child to go off with a grown man I did not consider as close as family without any adult supervision. Not even Michael Jackson. It comes down to trading your kids out for an opportunity, and making them the focus of your financial interests, as opposed to the child’s wellbeing.” Feldman did say he and Jackson slept in the same room, but the singer slept on a cot. Feldman tweeted Monday that the documentary was more like “la la” land and that it was one-sided. #Neverland OK I WATCHED IT ALL I KNOW IS WHAT I EXPERIENCED, & YES EVERY EXPERIENCE WAS THE SAME….RIGHT UP 2 THE SEX PART! THAT IS WHERE IT BECOMES LALA LAND, INSTEAD OF NEVERLAND 4 ME. WE NEVER SPOKE ABOUT SEX OTHER THAN A FEW WARNINGS ABOUT HOW SEX WAS SCARY, & DANGEROUS. MJ — Corey Feldman (@Corey_Feldman) March 4, 2019 HOWEVER I DO TAKE ISSUE WITH THE FACT THAT THIS WHOLE THING IS 1 SIDED W NO CHANCE OF A DEFENSE FROM A DEAD MAN, & NO EVIDENCE OTHER THAN THE WORD OF 2 MEN WHO AS ADULTS DEFENDED HIM IN COURT! BUT AS WE WILL NEVER REALLY KNOW, I ONLY HAV — Corey Feldman (@Corey_Feldman) March 4, 2019 According to TMZ , Brett Barnes , who knew Jackson when he was a child, threatened HBO with a lawsuit “claiming the documentary puts him in a false light and subjects him to ‘hatred, contempt and ridicule.’ Presumably, the lawyer is saying MJ supporters will target Barnes as a result of the documentary.” Barnes testified at Jackson’s criminal trial in 2005  and said he was never assaulted by Jackson. He also tweeted this in January: Not only do we have to deal with these lies, but we’ve also got to deal with people perpetuating these lies. The fact that they fail to do the small amount of research it takes to prove these are lies, by choice or not, makes it even worse. — Brett Barnes (@IAmBrettBarnes) January 30, 2019 In 1993, Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy. In January of 1994, Jackson reportedly settled for $23,000,000. The accuser’s father committed suicide in 2009, five months after Jackson passed away. Jordan Chandler reportedly has never come forward about the allegations and supposedly lives outside of the country. In 2017, when choreographer Wade Robson accused Jackson of sexual assault—even though he’d said in the past the singer didn’t assault him—there was a hunt to find Chandler. According to The Daily Mail , he left the U.S. to avoid investigators. In 2003, Jackson was charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent to a 13-year-old boy. He was acquitted of all charges. Olympia Valance is an Australian actress who was on Neighbours along with every other Australian actress….because that’s just how Neighbors works…if you don’t do Neighbors you don’t exist….and I am not even sure if that applies to just actors, it may apply to every Australian, like how the Israeli 18 year olds need to join the Army, maybe every Australian at 18 has to do Neighbors…maybe not all in talking roles..but it is a right of passage to keep your citizenship and honor to your country…. That said, along with Neighbors, Australians are just wild and crazy and not just because I watched leaving Neverland and saw the Australian Michael Jackson impersonator weirdo 7 year old who MJ used to RIM….but because I’ve know Australians forever and they are this fun, funny, trashy, slutty, drunk….built on criminal DNA…raised in the middle of no where, far from Civilization….creating the debauchery that is everyone in Australia…even Steve Irwin and his Crocodile fuck that killed him… Point being…here’s some random Australian pussy…which is something you’d experience if you went o a bar in Australia…cuz that’s just the kind of women Australians are….the best kind of woman…. Oprah Says She Knows She’ll Get Backlash From Hosting ‘After Neverland’ Interview

Source: Kevin Winter / Getty Oprah Already Knows Her After Neverland Interview Will Get Hate Oprah Winfrey already knows that she’s going to be sparking some controversy with her new special After Neverland , an interview with the two men who have accused Michael Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were young. “I’m gonna get it,” the talk show host predicted during a taping of the broadcast on Wednesday. But, Oprah argued, the issue of sexual abuse is too important to remain silent no matter how much her program angers the “gloved one’s” fans. “This movie transcends Michael Jackson,” she told an audience of over 100 abuse survivors. “It allows us to see societal corruption.” The program is set to air on March 4, which comes after the second and final episode of the upcoming HBO documentary. Leaving Neverland is a four-hour investigation into the claims of Jackson accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck and Winfrey was joined on stage by the two men along with the director Dan Reed for a talk that was filled mixed emotions. Winfrey made it clear that she finds the men’s allegations credible, but the Jackson estate has continued to push back against Robson and Safechuck. Before going public with his abuse claims in 2013, Robson was known for being one of Jackson’s most avid defenders, denying the pop star had ever behaved inappropriately while serving as a key defense witness in the pop star’s 2005 child molestation trial. Safechuck also testified that he was never abused as part of the singer’s 1993 molestation trial, but declined to testify on his behalf in the follow-up trial. Both men say they were groomed by Jackson to stay quiet as he repeatedly told them that their lives would be ruined if they broke their silence.

Michael Jackson’s Family Suing HBO Over Child Molestation Claims

A new documentary about the alleged sex crimes Michael Jackson made its debut at the Sundance film festival last month. With a runtime of over four hours, Leaving Neverland was only screened once, but despite its small audience, the film quickly became the talk of the festival. Neverland is set to make its broadcast debut on HBO in March, and according to a new report from TMZ, Jackson’s family is doing everything in its power to prevent that from happening. According to court papers obtained by the site, the Jacksons — who have already compared the film to ” a public lynching ” — have filed a $100 million suit against the network. Such a move is not uncommon in cases where a piece of journalism threatens major damage to the reputation of a rich and powerful person — even when that person is no longer living. What’s unusual in this case is that the Jacksons may have a valid case. TMZ reports that the family’s attorneys are not disputing the claims made in the documentary. Rather, they’re arguing that HBO relinquished its right to disparage Jackson in any way when it reached an agreement with the singer nearly 27 years ago. Back in 1992, HBO aired a concert special entitled Michael Jackson Live in Concert in Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour. Jackson’s contract at the time required all major media partners to sign a very specific non-disparagement agreement. “HBO shall not make any disparaging remarks concerning Performer or any of his representatives, agents, or business practices or do any act that may harm or disparage or cause to lower in esteem the reputation or public image of performer,” reads a document reportedly signed by HBO execs. HBO’s lawyers will likely argue that the contract is voided by the fact that Jackson is dead and HBO is a radically different network now than it was in 1992. But no doubt the Jacksons have hired a legal dream team, and if there’s no expiration date on the contract, then they may succeed in burying Leaving Neverland — for now. Unfortunately for the Jackson estate, this is 2019 — an era with a virtually infinite number of media outlets. Which means the film is sure to find an audience one way or another. Michael Jackson Musical CANCELED Amidst New Molestation Allegations!

Last month, a new Michael Jackson documentary entitled Leaving Neverland premiered at Sundance. The film captivated festival attendees, but it’s no lighthearted celebration of the King of Pop’s musical achievements. Instead, Neverland focuses on the many sexual assault allegations against Jackson. The film is set to air for a much larger audience on HBO in March, but those who have seen it already say it’s an appalling piece that brings to light new allegations, offers compelling evidence with regard to older claims, and leaves little doubt as to Jackson’s guilt. And while Jackson has yet to be re-tried in the court of public opinion, it seems the fallout has already begun for the disgraced music legend. It was announced today that a stage musical focusing on Jackson’s life and music has been postponed indefinitely. The show was scheduled to begin a run in Chicago next month before heading to Broadway. According to Radar Online, producers have told cast members and investors that they’re currently “waiting to see what happens” with regard to Jackson’s public image. However, insiders are already prepared for the possibility that the “entire thing could be scrapped.” Interestingly, Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough was initially set to compete with a different Jackson musical, scheduled to make its Broadway debut in 2020. That show was intended to have a much darker tone, addressing some of the many controversies that plagued Jackson’s life, up to and including the drug dependency that resulted in his death at age 50. However, Jackson’s family intervened and threatened to sue if those elements were not removed from the production. “The sexual abuse allegations, the plastic surgery story and even Michael’s addiction to drugs have all been cut out of the stage show,” a source tells Radar. The family attempted a similar strongarm approach to the makers of Leaving Neverland , but were rebuffed. The Jacksons have likened the film to a ” public lynching ,” but their attempts at halting its release have thus far been in vain. Sources say Michael’s mother and siblings are currently fighting to prevent the HBO release, but the odds are against him. It looks as though the horrific allegations against Jackson will soon once again be a matter of widespread public consternation and heated debate.  View Slideshow: Michael Jackson Accused of Grotesque Child Abuse in New Documentary

Paris Jackson Celebrates 30 Days of Sobriety Amid Controversy Over Michael Jackson Sex Crimes

It’s a strange time in the life of Paris Jackson. Paris checked into rehab  last month, possibly in anticipation of the pressure she would feel in response to a scathing new documentary about her father that had yet to be released at that time. Leaving Neverland made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January.  The Jackson family has described the film as a ” public lynching ,” arguing that it serves no purpose other than denigrating a man who’s no longer alive to defend himself. Proponents of the film say it gives Jackson’s many victims a long overdue opportunity to tell their story. Most of the public has yet to see the piece for themselves (It makes its TV debut on HBO in March.), so it’s hard to make a determination as to whether it’s an opportunistic hit piece or essential of journalism that sheds new light on an old scandal. Whatever the case, it’s not hard to see how the release of the documentary could take a profound emotional toll on Paris, who has maintained throughout her life that her father is an innocent victim of a malicious slander campaign. Those closest to the aspiring model say that Paris is breaking down over the new allegations against her father and has thus far refused to watch Leaving Neverland. Fortunately, there’s a silver lining to Paris’ current struggles. It seems that she wrongly believed she could safely delve back into drinking and recreational drug use after a previous bout with addiction, and her latest rehab stint convinced her otherwise. “Paris has actually gotten clean for the time being,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. The insider adds that Paris’ new boyfriend, Gabriel Glenn , has been instrumental in her recovery. “Paris is coming up on 30 days off other substances,” the source added. “She’s is getting a ton of support from Gabriel.” Hopefully, Paris can maintain her commitment to the hard work of sobriety even in the face of new information about her father’s controversial private life. It won’t be easy — but then again, it never is. We wish her all the best in her continued recovery.

SMH: Gucci Apologizes For $890 ‘Backface Sweater’

Okay this Black History Month needs an absolute do-over. Luxury designer  Gucci  apologized Thursday for their new wool balaclava jumper because it happens to resemble blackface a little  too  much. “Gucci deeply apologizes for the offense caused by the wool balaclava jumper,” the brand wrote in response to the backlash. “We consider diversity to be a fundamental value to be fully upheld, respected, and at the forefront of every decision we make.” The $890 sweater was pulled from Gucci’s website and all physical stores. As you can see, it is black and covers up to the wearer’s nose with material. However, the red ring around the hole for the jumper’s mouth resembles a pair of lips, reminiscent of blackface or minstrel cartoons. Jermaine Jackson Cries After ‘Leaving Neverland’ Premiere: ‘There Is No Truth To This Documentary’ [Video]

Jermaine Jackson wants no parts of the ‘ Leaving Neverland’ documentary , which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and details the explosive sexual assault allegations against his brother Michael Jackson . On Wednesday, Jermaine appeared on Good Morning Britain to defend his late brother and speak on behalf of the entire Jackson clan, saying: “I’m a thousand percent sure because Michael was tried by a jury and he was acquitted on all of this because there was no real evidence. There was nothing there. I will say this, our family are tired, very tired. Let this man rest. He did a lot for the world, let him rest. I will say this, there is no truth to this documentary.” He added: “We are living in a time when people can say anything and then it’s taken as truth… they would rather believe a documentary than what was said under oath. We are still mourning… just leave us alone, leave him alone. Let him rest, please, let him rest. He deserves to rest.” The controversial four-hour exposé will premiere on HBO this spring. Will you be watching?
