Instead of putting “Woman of the Year” in plain text, “Man of the Year” is printed with “Man” crossed out and replaced with “Woman” in quotations. Abloh, the man behind Off-White and Louis Vuitton, designed Serena’s US Open tutu dress and he often uses quotation marks on his Off-White designs. However, some people on Twitter didn’t grasp this context and they believed the quotations used for Serena were insensitive to ridicule she’s received in the past. Serena has constantly been labeled a man or unhuman-like for her athletic skills and body type. Serena is the magazine’s sole Woman of the Year, which doesn’t make matters any better. The Men of the Year include Michael B. Jordan, Henry Golding,  and Jonah Hill.  Serena has yet to speak publically on the cover, but she’s been candid in the past about ridicule she’s faced about her gender. Last year, in a reddit post , Williams said: “I’ve been called man because I appeared outwardly strong. It has been said that I use drugs (No, I have always had far too much integrity to behave dishonestly in order to gain an advantage). It has been said I don’t belong in Women’s sports — that I belong in Men’s — because I look stronger than many other women do. (No, I just work hard and I was born with this badass body and proud of it).” She addressed the issue some more back in May when she told Harper’s Bazaar , “People would say I was born a guy, all because of my arms, or because I’m strong. I was different to Venus: She was thin and tall and beautiful, and I am strong and muscular — and beautiful, but, you know, it was just totally different.” What do you think of the GQ cover? Jersey Shore Recap: Snooki Gets WASTED!

The cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was tasked with its most important mission of all-time this week: Finding a new home to crash in for awhile. As you’ll find out below, the residence needed to include at least one prominent feature — and as you’ll also find out below, Snooki can really drink! First, however, she and JWOWW paid a visit to an extremely pregnant Deena Cortese. She explained to her friends how she recently had a scare and was subsequently ordered to be on bed rest until her next checkup. Describing the “scariest moment” of her life, Deena said she began bleeding randomly about halfway through her pregnancy. She assured her fellow MTV stars that she was fine now, but she would be unable to join them on the aforementioned house search. “I totally get it because I was pregnant once,” a sad Snooki told the camera, possibly forgetting that she actually has two kids. From there, it was Deena and JWOWW’s turn to fill Snooki in on everything that went down in Atlantic City a few days before, including Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s insane blowup with Jen Harley over … well… nothing at all, really. There was also the matter of the Staten Island love triangle that formed among Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick and Angelina’s fiance, Chris. Speaking of that latter storyline: In a later scene, Angelina was telling Chris about her forthcoming stay in the new Shore House when Vinny popped up in conversation. Chris was pretty chill about him at first, but then… not so much. “When you were out having your guys’ day, did you guys talk about anything serious?” Angelina asked. “Vinny was saying something like, ‘You seem like a normal guy, so what are you gonna marry Angelina for?'” Chris responded. “Why’s he asking you that?” Angelina asked prior to answering her own question. “Because he secretly loves me. And you know what? I don’t blame him for loving me because he should love me.” “How do we keep coming back to the same topic?” Chris shot back. “Maybe you’re in love with him .” “Chris, shut up,” Angelina said. “Ew! Gross! Hell no. You’re an ass.” But enough about them. We now turn to the home Snooki found on Craigslist, a lovely looking abode that was only missing one key element: a beach! Ronnie met up with his pal there and the two proceeded to get totally sloshed. After Snooki failed to get new intel out of Ronnie about Jen, she headed to a club and danced up a storm. She also convinced Angelina to go straight from the airport to this establishment, leading to her hilariously showing up with, like, 9 suitcases. “Dren has arrived at dinner,” Vinny says during a meal that featured Snooki choosing to drink instead of eat seafood. “I haven’t seen Dren make an appearance at dinner in a long time. Now the vacation has begun,” he added of his pal’s drunken personality. “I’m drunk bitch. What do you want from me?” Snooki replied. Nothing else. We want nothing else from you at all, Snook. Grey’s Anatomy Recap: Who’s Dying?

Ghosts from the past roamed the halls of Seattle Grace Memorial on Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy as Día de Muertos weighed heavily on the minds of our favorite characters.  It was all thanks to a girl named Flo who was in the hospital for surgery, so her family decided to celebrate their tradition, and it resulted in a lot of blasts from the past.  Before that, Richard pulled Meredith aside to let her know that one of his friends told him her father was dying of cancer and was in a hospice.  Gulp.  This threw Meredith for a loop as she tried to conclude whether her deadbeat father deserved to be graced with her presence one last time.  As such, she turned to Maggie because they’re as close as ever, but Meredith quickly realized the journey ahead was one she had to travel on her own.  Cece set her up on another date, and she wasted no time in talking about her issues with her father, and it rendered the whole romance a dud.  Both Link and DeLuca were in a battle for Meredith’s heart, so they were especially pissed to learn that she was still dating.  After embracing Día de Muertos, Meredith exited the hospital, but there were ghosts from the past walking the halls.  There was Derek, Lexie, George and even Meredith’s mother, Ellis. Meredith somehow found herself getting closer to Link after visiting Alex instead of her father. Elsewhere, Miranda and Jo worked together with a woman who was planning her funeral because she was under the impression she was not getting the liver she needed in time.  A patient died, and Miranda decided to try and salvage the liver from his body because he was a match with the woman who needed the liver.  Despite the liver functioning, Alex shut the whole thing down, claiming that he couldn’t allow it to go ahead in case there were issues down the line that put the hospital under scrutiny.  But Bailey and Jo went ahead with the surgery thinking they were saving a life, and that they did. The surgery went well, and the woman survived with a new lease on life.  Jo thought Alex was going to flip out, but he loved that she was right and they got hot and heavy in his office. Elsewhere, Betty went missing, and it threw a wrench in Teddy’s plan to tell Owen all about her carrying his child.  Yes, this storyline is going to be dragged on until the midseason finale, you guys! Amelia, Teddy, and Owen worked together to find the teenager, but their mission was unsuccessful. They ultimately gave up when Amelia had to go to a meeting because she thought she was being triggered.  The mystery of Betty’s whereabouts will continue on next Thursday’s installment.  What are your thoughts on the latest episode? 11 Times Megyn Kelly Was Really Very Racist

You won't believe this, but Megyn Kelly defended the use of blackface during a controversial Today Show segment. Wait… what's that you say? You totally believe it because Megyn Kelly has a history of saying inappropriate things that could best be described as offensive and worst be described as racist ?  That's right. She was a mainstay on Fox News for years, no matter how hard NBC worked to try and make us forget her employment history. Below, we run down the scandal that got Kelly kicked off NBC and compare it to other times in which she said some really awful things about African-Americans: 1. What is Racist? This is the question Kelly actually asked on air, challenging her round table panelists to explain the problem with white people dressing up in blackface for Halloween… apparently unaware of how this type of makeup was used by theater performers in the 19th century to stereotype and mock African-Americans who were being held down in society. 2. Ah, The Good Ole Days… “Back when I was a kid, that was OK just as long as you were dressing as a character,” Kelly said stupidly, adding: “Isn’t the whole purpose of Halloween to dress up and pretend you’re someone other than yourself? I feel like it’s so absurd. Who comes up with these rules?” 3. She Did At Least Apologize “I want to begin with two words: I’m sorry,” she said at the top of the next day’s show. “You may have heard that yesterday we had a conversation about political correctness and Halloween costumes. … I defended the idea (of blackface), saying that as long it was respectful and part of a Halloween costume, that it seemed OK. Well, I was wrong, and I am sorry.” 4. Continued the Embattled Anchor: “This past year has been so painful for many people of colo. The country feels so divided and I have no wish to add to that pain and offense. I believe this is a time for more understanding, more love, more sensitivity and honor, and I want to be part of that. Thank you for listening and for helping me listen too.” 5. Too Little, Too Late? Kelly will be terminated by NBC as a result of these remarks, multiple sources have said. And it doesn’t help that she has made similar comments in the past. To wit… 6. SANTA IS WHITE! During her Fox News days, Kelly got very, very VERY worked up over the idea of black men dressed up as Santa Claus, telling her audience: “For all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white…Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean it has to change. David Eason on Jenelle Evans Beating: I’m the REAL Victim Here!

Earlier this month, Jenelle Evans was hospitalized following a late-night altercation at her home. Fans immediately suspected Jenelle's famously temperamental husband David Eason of causing her injuries, but the Teen Mom 2 star insisted Eason wasn't to blame. However, on Friday, Jenelle's 911 call was released to the public, confirming that she indeed called police in response to an alleged assault by David. In the days that followed, thousands implored Jenelle to take her kids and run far away from Eason — but now it looks as though the couple is planning to pretend the incident never happened: 1. A New Low Eason has been widely despised by TM2 fans for years, but over the course of the past week, he officially became the most hated man in reality television. 2. David the Terrible Rumors of David behaving abusively toward Jenelle and the five children in the couple’s care have been circulating for years. 3. Frightening Times Now, fans have solid evidence that David’s loved ones live in fear of his violent outbursts. 4. Just the Worst These assumptions were always based on more than just his infamous temper and tendency toward verbal abuse. 5. A History of Violence David has been charged with domestic violence in the past, and at least one of his exes successfully filed for a restraining order against him. 6. Kathryn Dennis: I’m a Domestic Violence Survivor. This is My Story.

Over the past several weeks, each time we’ve written about Kathryn Dennis, it’s been in relation to Thomas Ravenel. That’s what happens when you share two kids with the lead of a Bravo reality show… … and then that lead gets accused of sexual assault by two women . In this case, however, we’re here to talk about the Southern Charm star and a different man from her past. We don’t know his name. But we do know that this individual sadly has had a major impact on Dennis’ life. On Sunday evening, the 27-year old posted both the following image on Instagram and included with it a lengthy message about how she is a surivor of domestic abuse. Dennis proceeded to tell her story via this social media platform, prefacing the emotional post with a caption that reads: “This is my past, perfectly put…. worth the read. This is the real aftermath.” The reality star then went into painful detail as follows: I spend a lot of time thinking about those questions. I never saw myself in these situations and neither did anyone else. I had strong opinions, a sharp mind, and an independent spirit. But before I knew it, I was left with a broken spirit, mixed opinions, and an anxious and uncertain mind. I didn’t know who I was anymore. Dennis never names her abuser. She doesn’t get into specifics about the incident or incidents, either. Instead, she focuses more on the effects this experience has had on her life — and continues to have on her life. It was the deepest, darkest secret I kept. And this wasn’t about any particular situation/relationship as much as it was my relationship with men. It ran deep and dark, and I never realized the impact it had on myself and on my self-worth. In these depths of despair, I couldn’t see a way out of this cycle. It seemed anywhere I turned pushed me further and further away from getting to a safe place physically, mentally, and emotionally. I looked around and within and realized that my self-worth had been damaged long before I even realized it was possible. This made me really question myself. And this is how Dennis concludes: Was it me? Was this normal behavior, and I was the one in the wrong? I knew deep down inside that wasn’t the case, but I was stuck in quicksand being guided by those who kept my head above, but my feet locked in. Powerful stuff, no? Tragically, there are millions of women out there who can relate to most everything Dennis describes here. She went on to share a handful of memes, such as the ones below: Kathryn’s revelation about her past trauma with domestic violence comes just weeks after her ex-boyfriend, Ravenel, was arrested for second degree assault and battery . The ex-Bravo personality was taken into custody on charges related to sexual assault claims made by his former nanny, Dawn, who cared for his and Kathryn’s two kids, Kensington, 4, and Saint Julien, 2, years ago. Between people being upset about Colin Kaepernick being black listed from the league to the NFL actually implementing the no kneel rule to for the anthem people are TIRED! Reports surfaced that pop band Maroon 5 were rumored to be this years Super Bowl’s halftime act…and people weren’t feeling it. People took to social media to discuss how tone deaf the NFL’s pick was considering all that’s happened in the past two years. It tipped people over the edge especially because the Super Bowl is in Atlanta this year and there were several home town acts to choose from. Snoop Dogg: F–k Donald Trump and F–k Kanye West!!!

Rapper and gift to humanity Snoop Dogg has laid into Donald Trump before, verbally excoriating the man for his behavior and politics. Now, Snoop is doubling down on that, and also giving Trump’s supporters a piece of his mind. Snoop is singling out one Trump supporter in particular: Kanye West. In an appearance on DJ Suss One’s SiriusXM, Snoop Dogg did not mince words. Not when he spoke about Donald Trump, and not when he spoke about Trump’s fans and supporters. “F–k you,” Snoop said to address any Trump supporters who might be listening. “And,” Snoop continued. “F–k him.” While many Americans may share that sentiment in one form or another, not everyone is willing to be so blunt. Snoop made it clear that his ire extends to his fellow celebrities. Snoop added: “Kanye, too.” “Don’t forget about him too,” Snoop repeated. “F–k you too!” As we mentioned, Snoop has excoriated Kanye for his bizarre support for Donald Trump in the past. Now, Snoop is doubling down on it. “Throw him in the bag too,” Snoop said in reference to Kanye. “Because he’s right there with the motherf–kers.” Most of us vividly remember Kanye’s multiple declarations of support for Donald Trump. Earlier this year, Kanye had what many assumed was a mental breakdown, and began tweeting things that made little to no sense to his millions of followers. “We are both dragon energy,” Kanye said of Trump. “He is my brother.” The man who had declared in 2005 that George W. Bush had no compassion for black people or their well being seemed to have shifted his own priorities. But Snoop had his own theory for why Kanye was seeing orange. Snoop Dogg says that Kanye West needs a black woman to set him straight and to talk sense into him. He says that Kim Kardashian humors Kanye too much when she should be influencing him to be a better, less self-sabotaging person. Snoop believes that, were Kanye’s late mother still among the living, Kanye would not have said and done the stupid things that have become a huge part of his brand for the past decade. That means that Kanye would have voted in 2016 and would never have voiced or felt support for Trump. Still, others say that perhaps Snoop is just making excuses for Kanye, just like the people who are saying that Kanye is mentally ill. Maybe Kanye isn’t mentally ill and maybe he isn’t lost without a black woman in his life. Maybe he’s just … bad. And it sounds like Snoop may have come to that conclusion, because he is no longer suggesting things that Kanye needs. A simple “f–k you” may be what Kanye deserves — at least, that seems to be how Snoop feels. Unlike many people, who walk on eggshells while discussing Trump’s supporters but are perfectly blunt when discussing Trump, Snoop isn’t making allowances for “economic anxiety.” If you support Trump, Snoop has made it very clear where you stand in his eyes.
