Ariana Grande: I Was So Drunk and Sad I Barely Remember Making "Thank U, Next"!

2018 was a crazy roller coaster ride for Ariana Grande.  She hit some extremely low points after she and Pete Davidson began dating, got engaged and broke up all within the span of about six months.  And then again when she had to deal with the tragic loss of her ex-boyfriend and beloved rapper Mac Miler who passed away after an accidental drug overdose . But they say you can’t appreciate the good days until you have had some bad ones, and Ari definitely faced numerous difficult days.  And with her losses came major gains.  In February of this year, Ariana was taking over the charts. Literally, it felt like she was releasing a new banger every other day.  Thanks to her whirlwind romance with Pete Davidson, her latest album Thank U, Next  was born. And thanks to music Ari was able to find a bit of peace following Miller’s death.  In her new cover interview with Vogue , Grande opens up about the making of her album along with growing up and dealing with grief.  The Sweetener songstress started by revealing that her friends had actually convinced her to move to New York City from Los Angeles for the summer of 2018.  “My friends were like, ‘Come! We’re gonna have a fun summer,'” she recalled. “And then I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction.” “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic,” she said. “And I loved him. And I didn’t know him.” Ari then went on to explain how she isn’t good at real life — we all get it, adulting is hard. “I’m like an infant when it comes to real life and this old soul, been-around-the-block-a-million-times artist,” she added. “I still don’t trust myself with the life stuff.” Grande ultimately released her hit breakup anthem “Thank U, Next” which graciously called out exes including Davidson, Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez and yes, Mac Miller. The song was released during the period in which it was made, which is one of the first times she had been single in a while.  “I think that this is the first album and also the first year of my life where I’m realizing that I can no longer put off spending time with myself, just as me,” she explained. “I’ve been boo’d up my entire adult life.” “I’ve always had someone to say goodnight to. So “thank u, next” was this moment of self-realization,” she continued.  “It was this scary moment of ‘Wow, you have to face all this stuff now. No more distraction. You have to heal all this s–t.'” Not only was Ariana putting out music because she had fresh inspo from her break up with Pete , but also because the studio was her safe haven.   Miller passed away in September 2018 and Ari and Pete split the next month, with both of those dramatic events taking place back to back, the 26-year-old admits she barely even remembers making the album. “My friends know how much solace music brings me, so I think it was an all-around, let’s get her there type situation,” she said. “But if I’m completely honest, I don’t remember those months of my life because I was (a) so drunk and (b) so sad.” “I don’t really remember how it sarted or how it finished, or how all of a sudden there were 10 songs on the board,” she recalled. And while the Florida native is for the most part extremely open with her fans, she still prefers to keep that part of her life private. “I’m a person who’s been through a lot and doens’t know what to say about any of it to myself, let alone the world,” she admitted to the outlet.  “I see myself onstage as this perfectly polished, great-at-my-job entertainer, and then in situations like this I’m just this little basket-case puddle of figuring it out.” “I have to be the luckiest girl in the world, and the unlickiest, for sure,” she said She went on to explain how she is currently working on celebrating the good, rather than always fearing for the worse . “I’m walking this fine line between healing myself and not letting the things I’ve gone through be picked at before I’m ready,” she said. “And also celebrating the beautiful things that have happened in my life and not feeling scared that they will be taken away from me because trauma tells me that they will be.” “you know what I mean?” she adds. But while she is currently on tour, we feel for her. “I was researching healing and PTSD and talking to therapists, and everyone was like, ‘You need a routine, a schedule,'” she said. “Of course because I’m an extremist, I’m like, OK, I’ll go on tour!” “But it’s hard to sing songs that are about wounds that are so fresh,” she admitted. “It’s fun, it’s pop music, and I’m not trying to make it sound like anything that it’s not but these songs to me really do represent some heavy s–t.” While Ari still has many shows left on her Sweetener world tour, we send all the love and well wishes her way.  View Slideshow: Ariana Grande DESTROYS Haters Over Disgusting Mac Miller Comments!

Pete Davidson Wishes Ariana Grande Never Told The World How “Huuuuuge” His Burly Beef Cake Is

Source: James Devaney / Getty Pete Davidson Jokes About Size Of His Manhood Back when Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande were still a thing, the “God Is A Woman” singer had no problem letting everyone know that her man was well-endowed. Ariana, who was engaged to Pete before everything took a sudden turn for the worst , was doing a Q&A on Twitter when a fan asked about Pete’s length. Hilariously enough, the fan was talking about the song Ariana dedicated to Pete on her album Sweetene r —still she responded in a since-deleted tweeted, “Like 10 inches?…. oh fu**…. i mean… like a lil over a minute.” After they broke things off, Ariana also seemed to reference Pete’s alleged mandingo meat in the burn book she wrote in for her  Mean Girls -inspired “thank u, next” video. See that here . In retrospect, the comedian isn’t so happy that his ex led women to believe he’s got a big ol’ baby arm. According to People , he spoke about her comments while doing a standup set over the weekend: “I don’t like that she talked all that sh** for my [manhood]. Everything is huge to her,” he joked. “Why would she tell everyone that I have a huge p*nis? So that every girl who sees my d— for the rest of my life is disappointed.” “I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world,” he reportedly added. Self-deprecating comedy seems to be Pete’s shtick, so in this case we can probably trust Ariana’s word. Plus, he seems to have some pretty decent-sized feet…what do you think?

Pete Davidson is Dating Again After Epic Ariana Grande Breakup

Enduring the most famous breakup of the year is no easy feat, but Pete Davidson is managing. He’s continuing to live his life even though some deeply misguided Ariana fans want him to kill himself . In fact, a new report says that Pete has started dating again! Good for him. E! spoke to a source about Pete Davidson’s personal life. The Saturday Night Live star “is dating again,” the insider reports. This news comes about a month and a half after Ariana Grande called off her engagement to Pete on October 14. Pete and Ariana had a whirlwind romance this spring that became a sudden engagement that endured throughout the summer. Their highly publicized breakup ended in a highly publicized split, which left Pete reeling. Before dating Ariana, Pete had been dating Cazzie David. Cazzie, best known for being Larry David’s daughter, is a comedian in her own right. She and Pete had enjoyed a two-year relationship before their breakup. Given that Ariana had so recently ended a long-term relationship with troubled boyfriend Mac Miller, she and Pete were both looking for their next relationship. The fact that they had been attracted to each other for a couple of years did not hurt. But rebounds rarely last. After the breakup, insiders reported that Pete Davidson was “doing fine.” Pete has been open about his mental illness and he definitely did not come out on top after the breakup, so this was a relief for his fans to hear. “He has a strong support system of family and friends around him that are keeping him laughing,” the source said at the time. “While Pete’s focusing on himself,” the insider also added. “He always wishes the best for Ari.” That is very sweet, even if it probably comes from a place of personal and emotional pain. Meanwhile, Ariana famously penned “Thank U, Next,” her record-smashing single. It’s a breakup anthem with a much more positive message than most would assume. It’s about being grateful for one’s exes. While Ariana made it very clear that the song was not a diss track, she did release it just heartbeats before a new episode of Saturday Night Live aired. (Ariana’s sweet but she’s also a Slytherin — don’t forget it) “I know some of you are curious about the breakup,” Pete said on that first SNL episode after the split. “But the truth is, it’s nobody’s business.” “And sometimes things just don’t work out,” Pete continued. “And that’s OK.” “She’s a wonderful, strong person,” Pete affirmed on air. “And I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world.” Pete has built his career about joking about misfortune — often his own — and this was no exception. After no longer residing with Ariana in the luxurious $16 million apartment, Pete cracked a joke at his own expense while doing stand-up. “Does anybody have any open rooms?” Pete asked his audience. “Looking for a roommate?” On a much sadder note, Pete posted a very direct and forthright message on social media on Monday. He is being bullied and harassed, possibly by overzealous Ariana stans who don’t understand that not every breakup has a “bad guy.” Their young ages and their ignorance is no excuse for what appear to be attempts to needle him into harming himself or taking his own life. Pete Davidson lost his father in 9/11 and has battled with substance abuse and with mental illness throughout his life. He can absolutely cope with cyberbullies, but he should not have to. It’s great to hear that Pete is moving on with his romantic life. But we have to wonder who seized their chance to grab Ariana’s savory seconds. Pete Davidson: Ariana Grande Fans Want Me to Kill Myself!

It’s been almost two months since Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson broke up , but the scrutiny and speculation surrounding the former couple just won’t die down. Of course, part of the reason for the continued fascination is that Pete and Ari can’t stop talking about their split. Last week, the breakup became the talk of social media yet again, thanks to Ariana’s well-received music video for ” Thank U, Next .” The lyrics to the song address several of Grande’s past relationships, and the video features a nod to her time with Pete. Many were hopeful that that would be the end of it, but it seems Ari’s fans have been relentless in their harassment of Davidson. And the situation apparently got so bad this week that Pete felt the need to issue a public statement. Taking to Instagram, Pete posted the following heartfelt plea for compassion: ” I’ve kept my mouth shut. Never mentioned any names, never said a word about anyone or anything. “I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference. “Especially in today’s climate where everyone loves to be offended and upset it truly is mind boggling . “I’ve been getting online bullied and in public by people for 9 months. “I’ve spoken about BPD and being suicidal publicly only in the hopes that it will help bring awareness and help kids like myself who don’t want to be on this earth.” “I just want you guys to know. “No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won’t. I’m upset I even have to say this. To all those holding me down and seeing this for what it is – I see you and I love you .” Folks who only became familiar with Davidson due to his relationship with Grande might be surprised to hear him say that the bullying has been going on for the better part of a year. Pete’s been open about his struggles with addiction and bipolar disorder, and has frequently discussed his troubles during SNL segments. As a result, there’s been considerable interest in his personal life for quite some time. Many who were familiar with Pete were surprised by the uproar that occurred when he joked about his relationship with Grande on the air. After all, this is a man who’s made a career of pushing the envelope and being intensely open about his personal life. But today, Pete bared his soul for reasons that have nothing to do with comedy. We hope those who might be inclined to heap abuse upon him out of misguided loyalty to his ex might pause and consider what Pete said today. Ariana Grande BLASTS Pete Davidson: This Loser Used Me For Fame!

Hard to believe that it was less than five months ago that Ariana Grande stunned fans by announcing her engagement to Pete Davidson . Of course, saying the situation didn’t play out the way she expected would be putting it very, very mildly. Ariana and Pete broke up unexpectedly last month, and from what it seems, the split was far from amicable. Now, there are many perks to dating a comedian, chief among them, of course, is the fact that your relationship is sure to be filled with laughter. But there are downsides, as well, particularly the fact that comics tend to mine the more painful aspects of their private lives for material, which means there’s a good chance that a difficult breakup will immediately become joke fodder. So it’s not terribly surprising that a new promo for the upcoming episode of SNL  finds Pete playing the news about his love life for laughs. Standing alongside hosts Jonah Hill and musical guest Maggie Rogers, Davidson jokingly proposes to Rogers, who promptly shoots him down, an obvious reference to Davidson’s tendency to move very quickly in relationships — particularly when his partner is a well-known singer. Take a look: Pete Davidson Jokes About Ariana Grande Breakup Pretty harmless stuff, if you ask us, and Davidson is clearly poking fun at himself more than he’s skewering Ariana. Still, Grande was obviously not thrilled to find that her very recent breakup is already being played for laughs, and she made her feelings very clear with a pair of scathing tweets. “For somebody who claims to hate relevancy [you] sure love clinging to it huh,” Grande wrote. “Thank [you], next,” she added. We can’t help but think “fame” would’ve worked better there than “relevancy.” After all, who hates being relevant? But we digress. Needless to say, fans have overwhelmingly sided with Ariana, with the tweets attracting many references to the spillage of tea and state-sanctioned beheadings.  (We assume that’s what’s meant by the phrase “slaaaaaay queen!”) And as the details of Pete and Ariana’s breakup are hard to come by, it’s impossible for us to say if it was appropriate for Pete to joke about the breakup so soon after the fact. But we can say that if Ariana is this thin-skinned, it’s a safe bet that her relationship with a famously envelope-pushing comic was likely doomed from the start. Again, this argument is null and void if it turns out that Pete precipitated the breakup with some sort of monstrous behavior, but if it was just a standard split, then Ari might have to just come to grips with the fact that the snarky sense of humor she previously found so endearing will now serve as a source of mild irritation. And hey, if she wants to shoot back by claiming that all that talk about ” big dick energy ” was just her way of compensating for Pete’s micropenis, we’re 100 percent here for it. Cazzie David: Fans Urge Pete Davidson Ex to NEVER Take Him Back!

Grandson is over. By which we mean that Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson split , mostly because of bad timing. Now, some fans of Pete’s ex, Cazzie David, think that those two will get back together. In fact, they fear it — and are publicly urging Cazzie to keep Pete out of her life. Fans who admire Cazzie David are terrified that Pete will come crawling back to her — and that she’ll accept. “Don’t take him back,” implored one of Cazzie’s fans. “I REPEAT don’t take him back!!” For the record, she wasn’t saying that she would and he wasn’t saying that he was going to try to reconnect with her. “Girl we all knew it wasn’t gonna last,” wrote another follower. That follower continued: That relationship was pure lust. You are too good for him.” We can’t agree with the characterization that Pete and Ariana were only dating for the banging, but sure, that was part of it. Others didn’t flock to Cazzie’s social media to give advice. They just wanted to share their opinion. “Honey,” one announced. “You won the breakup.” That doesn’t sound like a healthy way to look at a breakup. “Yup he got his karma,” declared another. “Living the luxury life now it’s cut off.” Pete wasn’t with Ariana for her money and he’s not exactly a pauper himself, but okay. “If ur lowkey sad about Pete,” wrote another. “Just know that u honestly lost nothing.” That’s supportive but also mean. Cazzie and Pete broke up a relatively short time before Pete started dating Ariana. (Ariana had recently broken up with Mac Miller — the same good timing that brought them together became bad timing and split them up) Cazzie hasn’t exactly been outspoken about Pete’s relationship with — and engagement to — Ariana. Instead, she responded to the news with a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post: “Been in Africa. What’d I miss??” That sounds cheerful enough. And that’s no less than what we’d expect from Larry David’s daughter and a woman who’s an actress, writer, and comedian in her own right. Cazzie never even publicly responded to the rumors about Pete Davidson’s impressive dong . (But you know that people in her life had to be itching to ask her about it, right?) But we don’t see any reason for her fans to “worry” that she’ll go running back to Pete. First of all, they had broken up before he and Ariana hooked up. He just moved on really quickly. That happens sometimes. Second of all, Pete is reportedly deep in his feelings about this Ariana business. It’s always possible that he and Cazzie could date again, since exes try it again all of the time. But it doesn’t seem likely. News about Ariana and Pete’s split broke over the weekend. Ariana has also shared that she is stepping back from social media because she is feeling overwhelmed. “Ok today was v special and i’m so grateful i was able to be there,” Ariana wrote to her fans and followers. Ariana then announced: “Time  to say bye bye to the internet for just a lil bit.” “it’s hard not to bump news n stuff that i’m not tryna to see rn,” she explained. “it’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep goin,” Ariana concluded. “Love u. and thank u for  bein here always. ” When it comes to news that Ariana would rather avoid, it comes in two forms. One, speculation about her split with Pete. She understands that people are curious, but she just wants to avoid seeing it right now. We totally get that. Two, people are still discussing her late ex, Mac Miller, who’s death is believed to have been one of the nails in the coffin of her engagement. We hope that Ariana and Pete get the space and emotional support that they need right now. And we kind of hope that fans, well-meaning or no, stop telling Cazzie David what to do with her life. She knows what she does or does not want. View Slideshow: Pete Davidson Answers the Giant Penis Question Once and for All

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson: Will They Get Back Together?!

Star-struck millennial heart throbs Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson made ALL the headlines with their whirlwind romance this year. They were head over heels in love, no doubt about it. But all good things, as the saying goes, must come to an end in a matter of months. Blindsiding a nation, Ariana and Pete called off their engagement this weekend and one saw it coming … okay, not the case. We all saw it coming. But does that mean it’s over for good? Or is it a break that will do them some good, and lead them to a better place? That’s the million-dollar question THG’s staff debates below. Read our hot takes on this hot couple and then hit the comments below! YES by Emily Trainham Love is real, and that is a fact. And the cool thing about facts is that even if you don’t believe personally believe in them, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Ariana and Pete love each other. And you’re dang right that’s in the present tense. Do people get engaged after just a few weeks of dating if they don’t love each other? Do people adopt pigs together if they do not love each other?!  Do people get multiple tattoos dedicated to their significant other if they don’t love each other?  OK, sure, love is not a requirement for any of these things … you can be mentally unstable and do all of them just fine. But Ariana and Pete did them out of love, and that’s just a fact. Listen to “Pete Davidson” on Ariana’s new album and try to say it’s not. They just broke up, and that’s unfortunate, but sometimes the greatest romances take some time to come together, and it’s obvious that now is not the best time for Ariana.  She still seems to be reeling from the death of Mac Miller, and it’s likely that she’s still dealing with the trauma from the Manchester bombing as well. So maybe she needs to take some time to heal. Maybe a few months, maybe a few years. Maybe she’ll date around during that time, and maybe Pete will, too. But as she sang in her song dedicated to him, he’s her soulmate. And soulmates are forever. Their time will come, but sadly, their time is not now. Keep the faith, Grandson lovers.  Love shall prevail. NO by Hilton Hater Neither Pete Davidson nor Ariana Grande were involved in THE MOST DRAMATIC ROSE CEREMONY of all-time… but their relationship has still followed the trajectory of those who get together on The Bachelor. The comedian and the artist were never dating in a traditional sense of the term. They went out. They goofed around. They got all silly on social media. They were almost, literally, a walking Saturday Night Live skit. It was all cute and fun and we’re sure quite enjoyable for Davidson and Grande, but then real life interjected: Mac Miller died of a drug overdose . Sources have all indicated that Grande (understandably) took the death of her ex-boyfriend very hard. Ariana’s been in a dark place for about a month now. Such a trauma could spell the end of many relationships, but especially one such as this; one essentially built on partying and cosplay. There’s simply no sturdy base here for anything as dramatic as a loved one’s death. Mix in the awkwardness of that loved one being Grande’s previous serious boyfriend… and here we are. Davidson may be equipped with a 10-inch long penis, but he simply isn’t equipped with the emotional maturity to deal with a tragedy of this nature. YES by Simon Delott This summer, in the wake of Ariana’s engagement to Pete Davidson , I was so confident that they would stay together. Now, I’m eating crow. I didn’t see this coming. “Sociologists at NYU used decades of statistical data from 4,500 families and found that couples in which the man was much taller than the woman were more likely to stay together,” I wrote at the time. “Folks, Ariana Grande is 5 feet tall. Pete Davidson is 6-foot-3,” I continued. “Those 15 inches could see them through to the end.” We all know that the best way to discuss love and romance is using cold hard numbers and statistical analysis. I’m not sure where I went wrong. After all, if a spur-of-the-moment relationship between a pop star with baggage and a comedian who’s never met an impulse on which he didn’t act can’t work out … what hope is there for the rest of us? In all seriousness, though, the cause of their breakup was reportedly largely Mac Miller’s tragic death earlier this fall. The passing of Ariana’s very recent ex, so soon after her return to the public eye, left her wounded. It was all too much. But that doesn’t mean that these two won’t ever get together again. They’re both still young, and it sounds like this breakup was as amicable as a dropped engagement can possibly be. My real question is this: Is Ariana going to sing the song, “Pete Davidson,” when she goes on tour in the future? There’s no non-awkward way to either sing or skip that song unless they get back together. Just saying. NO. by Tyler Johnson No. The relationship between Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson was doomed from the start. After all, how could a singer with a four-octave vocal range ever relate to a comic whose style is so painfully one-note? Let’s forget for a moment that Pete mocked the Manchester bombing that traumatized Ariana and so many of her fans. And let’s ignore, for now, the fact that Davidson said he sympathizes with the man who groped Grande or that he beamed with pride over the fact that Bill Clinton ogled Ari at a freakin’ funeral. (As a guy with a Hillary Clinton tattoo, that must have been an extremely confusing time for Pete.) What we’re focusing on today is the fact that Grande is clearly a woman who’s drawn to virtuoso talent, and despite spending the past four years in the best comedy college imaginable, Davidson (rather ironically) comes up short when his abilities are compared to Ariana’s. On a more serious note, insiders have claimed that the breakup was at least partially the result of Ariana’s grief over the death of her previous boyfriend, the immensely gifted Mac Miller. There’s been a lot of talk about Pete and Ari’s perceived insensitivity toward their exes in publicly admitting that they’d secretly longed for each other for years (in other words, since well before they were single). To be clear, both parties’ duties to their exes ended the moment they broke things off – but who wants to live in a world where we’re all just fulfilling our minimum obligations to one another? It’s not hard to see how Ariana might have wound up with some seriously conflicted feelings – as well as some major doubts – in the wake of Miller’s overdose. But in the end, out guess is that a talent gap wider than Pete and Ariana’s height difference also played a significant role in bringing this ill-fated romance to a halt. View Slideshow: Pete Davidson Answers the Giant Penis Question Once and for All And unless Pete drops his Adam Sandler impression and develops a comedic identity of his own, he’d probably be better off dating someone who doesn’t prioritize talent the way Ariana seems to.

Pete Davidson: Chevy Chase Is a Racist Douchebag!

If you’re under the age of 30, there’s a very good chance that the name Chevy Chase doesn’t mean much of anything to you — and with good reason. While he was once thought to be one of the country’s top comedic talents, much of Chase’s work has not aged well, and he’s repeatedly torpedoed his own career with bigoted remarks and other acts of supreme douchebaggery. Though he’s attempted to revive his career several times in recent years, those efforts have proven ill-fated, largely as a result of the fact that Chase’s co-stars tend to find him insufferable. Chase likely sees this as a result of jealousy over his self-appointed status as a comedy legend, when in reality, it’s simply a consequence of the fact that people prefer not to work with racist jackasses. (See the incident in which Chase hurled racial slurs at Donald Glover on the set of Community for evidence of how much this guy sucks.) At this point, it seems Chase has all but given up on making a comeback and has instead opted to burn every bridge between himself and the people who cursed us all by making Chevy Chase famous.  Chase got his start on Saturday Night Live , and many were shocked this week when he decided to attack the show for its decline in quality. “First of all, between you and me and a lamppost,” Chase recently told The Washington Post . “Jeez, I don’t want to put down Lorne [Michaels] or the cast … But I’ll just say, maybe off the record, I’m amazed that Lorne has gone so low,” he added. “I had to watch a little of it,” he said of the show. “And I just couldn’t f–king believe it.”  Now, ragging on SNL is a fun activity that we should all engage in as regularly as possible, but a former cast member attacking the current cast with such vitriol is a violation of an unwritten law among performers. For a while there, it looked as though no one would push back against Chase, but thankfully, Pete Davidson eventually rose to the challenge. Yes, folks, Pete is more than just Ariana Grande’s fiance . He’s also one of the more outspoken SNL cast members, and he’s having none of Chevy’s nonsense. Davidson sat down with Howard Stern this week, and he really let loose on the topic of Chase. “He’s a f–king douchebag,” Davidson said. “F–k Chevy Chase. He’s just a genuinely bad, racist person and I don’t like him. He’s a putz.” Davidson added: “It’s disrespectful to Lorne, too, a guy who gave you a career … No matter how big you get, you can’t forget what that guy did for you.” Now, to be clear, Pete Davidson is a better person than Chevy Chase by every measure. But can we dispense with this notion that Lorne Michaels is some unassailable comedy god and SNL is his flawless gift to the world? Go ahead and watch a full episode from any point in the show’s 4,300 years on the air, and you’ll find that it’s always been mostly unwatchable. It’s true of Chevy’s cast, and Pete’s, and it goes quadruple for the Joe Piscopo days. That said, Kanye is gonna be on this week, so we’ll totally be watching.

Ariana Grande: Heartbroken, Leaning on Pete Davidson After Mac Miller’s Death

Just a couple of days ago, we heard the tragic news that rapper Mac Miller had passed away with all signs pointing to an overdose as the cause of death. It’s obviously been extremely hard on the people close to him — he’d been dealing with addiction for a long time, and he was only 26 years old. And despite the fact that they broke up back in May , Ariana Grande was still one of those people. When the couple split, Ariana wrote a statement on Instagram calling Mac “one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet.” “I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us,” she continued. She explained that she still loved him, but “unconditional love … is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment, it’s not you.” She finished by telling him “I can’t wait to know and support you forever and I’m so proud of you!” It was a very sweet thing for Ariana to do, and Mac was, in turn, publicly supportive of her quick engagement to Pete Davidson shortly after their breakup. As of now, she hasn’t made a statement about his passing, but she did share a photo of him , presumably from their time together. And according to a new report from Us Weekly, she’s “absolutely heartbroken” about what happened. “Her entire family is in shock too,” a source claims . “They all grew close to Mac during his relationship with Ari.” “He was a huge part of her life, and they always shared such a special bond. She wanted nothing but positivity in Mac’s life after they broke up.” But even though Ariana was obviously a sweetheart about the breakup, and even though they were obviously on good terms, a lot of people can’t help but be awful. Several people have had the nerve to blame her for Mac’s death , because that makes sense, right? “Look I ain’t even even gon sugar coat it,” one of those people tweeted. “This is @ArianaGrande fault.” “Mac Miller was really killed by a heartbreak,” another person speculated. “Ariana and Pete really took him there don’t @ me. Love powerful. Ariana really a dangerous woman holy f-ck.” Some liked to put the blame on Ariana without directly putting the blame on her, like the person who wrote “I’m not saying that Ariana killed Mac, but the break up may have had a role in the death.” “Ariana Grande is in NO way to blame for Mac Miller’s death but when someone leaves you and is immediately with a new person … ya that sh-t hurts,” another one of those tweets read. And then there were the people who just got right to the point — one of those tweeted “It’s definitely Ariana Grande’s fault. F-ck that bitch.” The hate continued on Instagram, and it go so bad that Ariana had to disable comments on her account altogether because of the plentiful “it’s your fault” comments. Can you even imagine how rough that must have been? But on the bright side, a source who spoke with Hollywood Life says that Pete is doing his best to be there for her during this insanely difficult time. “Pete is amazing, he’s so solid, and he’s like, totally Ariana’s rock, her shoulder to cry on, support system, voice of reason, best friend, everything,” the insider claims. “Pete knows grief, he’s been through unmentionable horror and loss himself, and it doesn’t frighten him — he’s a real stand-up guy.” The source adds that “For all his goofy, comedian persona, he’s actually a super deep and sweet guy, he’s really empathetic, and he loves Ariana with every piece of his heart, all he wants to do is protect her as much as humanly possible.” As for all the unwarranted blame she’s getting on social media, the source says that “It’s bad enough that Ariana is suffering the trauma of losing somebody she cared deeply about, but then to be blamed for his death is just despicable.” “Pete is doing all he can to shield her from any poison and negativity.” The source also points out that “Mac had a lot of demons that he was battling and he struggled with addiction issues throughout his whole life pretty much so to try and lay the blame at Ariana’s feet is truly appalling.” “She’s just heartbroken.” Hopefully it’s true that Pete is doing all he can to take care of Ariana right now — again, we can’t imagine what she must be feeling.
