Joe Jonas Says He’s ‘Working On Lots Of Music’

‘I’ve heard it,’ brother Nick says of Joe’s solo material. ‘It’s awesome.’ By Jocelyn Vena Joe Jonas Photo: MTV News While his brother Nick released a solo album earlier this year under his side project Nick Jonas and the Administration , Joe Jonas says he has no formal plans to go solo himself. But the middle Jonas, who made a cameo this week on TV Land’s “Hot in Cleveland,” admits he is working on some new music . “I didn’t say that,” he laughed when MTV News asked about a solo LP. “I said I’ve been working on lots of music. I’ve been working [with] lots of musicians having a great time.” While he wouldn’t get specific about what it is he’s working on, or whom he’s working on it with, Joe did add, “[I have] been writing with a lot of friends of mine and some artists here and there, and we’ll see what comes out it.” So, in the event that he does release some independent work, will he borrow Nick’s band name? “I leave the Administration stuff to Nick,” he quipped. Whatever he decides, it seems he’s got the full support of his bros. “I’ve heard it. It’s awesome,” Nick said, before Kevin chimed in, “It’s really good music.” With both Nick and Joe making strides to pursue their own endeavors apart from the band, we wondered, what has big brother Kevin been up to? “I’ve just been really enjoying the first year of marriage,” he explained. “So far, there’s a couple things in the pipeline for me and, I don’t know. She claims all she wanted to do was move home to Florida and get out of the spotlight, but a newly-single Vienna Girardi hit the town Saturday in Hollywood. “I”m moving on with my life and I’m not looking back,” a smiling Vienna told Radar Online at the Carrera Sunglasses Escape event at the Chateau Marmont. With a positive attitude and without that stiff she used to be engaged to, she said “I’m really excited about just living on my own and being happy again.” Surrounded by friends, as well as some other celebrities like Nicole Richie, Vienna Girardi certainly looked pretty in a white tank top and skinny black jeans. From leaving Chris Brown after he assaulted her in early 2009 to releasing her album Rated R to finding love again with Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp , the singer has been through a lot. And in a new interview with Seventeen magazine, the singer says that the best time of her life is now. “There’s a balance in my life that wasn’t there before,” Rihanna, who is set to kick off her Last Girl on Earth Tour this Sunday, says in the August issue of the magazine. “It’s a really different peace, a different energy.” So, how does all that emotional growth make Rihanna feel these days? “It’s really liberating. It makes you feel so proud when you look back and see how much it took you to actually get here,” she explained. “And it’s the best feeling. I’m really enjoying life right now.” Always known for her outgoing, colorful, and independent spirit, style, and personality, Rihanna says people shouldn’t be afraid to be themselves, even if other people don’t understand it. “Don’t be afraid to be yourself just because you’re not like everybody else in class. If you want to dye your hair green and that’s what makes you happy, then dye your hair green — no matter what other people might say about it. Not everybody is going to like you,” the singer, who sports a big smile and lots of beaded necklaces on the cover of the magazine, said. “That’s the world we live in. Miley Cyrus Warns Kids About The Internet

Disney star Miley Cyrus has urged kids not to use the internet as it’s “dangerous” and wastes their lives. The 17-year-old admitted that she is enjoying her life a lot more since she closed down her page on social networking site Twitter when speaking to Movieline. “I’m telling kids, don’t go on the internet. It’s dangerous, it’s not fun, it wastes your life, and you should be outside playing sports or something. I just think it’s kind of lame. I feel like I hang out with my friends and they’re so busy taking pictures of what they’re doing and putting them on Facebook that they’re not really enjoying what they’re doing.” This is usually where we’d make some joke about her being from the South or the backwoods but the Hannah Montana star makes an absolutely great point about how people today are living their lives on social networking sites instead of in reality. Nice one Miley!

Despite coming of age in an era where websites and wired fans fawn over her every move and contribute to her fame, Miley Cyrus has no love for the online world. THG has no love for her, so it looks like we’re even! At the very least, you have to give Miley props for practicing what she preaches, having axed her Twitter to focus on being truer to herself and BF Liam Hemsworth . But bashing the Internets in general? Watch it, girl. It’s one thing to call out your critics , it’s another to bite the cyber hand that feeds you, no matter your intent. “I’m telling kids, don’t go on the internet,” Miley told Movieline . “It’s dangerous, it’s not fun, it wastes your life. You should be outside playing sports or something.” EAT IT : That’s basically Miley Cyrus’ message to the World Wide Web . “I just think it’s kind of lame. I feel like I hang out with my friends and they’re so busy taking pictures of what they’re doing and putting them on Facebook.” “They’re not really enjoying what they’re doing. You’re going to look back and have a million pictures, but you’re not actually going to be in any of them.” “Because you’re not having fun, you’re too busy clicking away. So I think just enjoy the moment you’re in, and stop telling people about it. So just enjoy it.” Okay, we have to agree with Miley on that philosophy. It’s very mature. We’re impressed that a huge star can reflect and maintain that kind of perspective. With a fashion brand and best-selling novels with a movie adaptation in the works , what’s the key to LC’s success? Time management. “Well, I meet up with the team several times a month and we have lots of conference calls,” she said about how she manages to design her line while writing her “L.A. Candy” books as well as producing the film version. “It’s just something I’m doing throughout the day. It’s all about fitting it into your schedule. I don’t sleep much.” She also juggles her duties, writing some days and designing clothes during others. “Well, they’re all different. There are days when I spend my entire day writing. There’s days like today where I’m dealing with the [fashion] line all day,” she explained. “I’ve always loved fashion. It’s always been my number one, but I’m really enjoying all the different things I’m getting to do right now.” So is LC going to add any new projects to her already busy schedule? The answer, for now, is no. “I like where I’m at right now,” she said. “I think I’m at a good place where I’ll see all those [projects] through.” For now, Conrad has hooked up with department store Kohl’s for her LC by Lauren Conrad clothing brand — if fans have always admired the former “Hills” star’s laid-back, girly sense of style, now they can achieve the look. “It’s very much a California brand. It’s all about incorporating new trends and putting our own twist on it — relaxed cool without trying too hard,” she told MTV News at a press event for the line, adding that there’s a piece in her collection for every occasion.
