One Waffle House customer in South Carolina took matters into his own hands when he entered the restaurant after a drunk night on the town, craving their signature waffle and bacon. But upon entering, Alex Bowen noticed that all the employees were sleeping, and, well — he got behind the counter and chef’d up his own meal. WH headquarter soon released a statement about the matter, saying, “ Our local Division Manager has spoken to Alex and apologized. For safety reasons, our customers should never have to go behind the counter. Rather they should get a quality experience delivered by friendly associates. We are reviewing this incident and will take appropriate disciplinary action. In a related note, obviously Alex has some cooking skills, and we’d like to talk to him about a job since we may have something for him.” Next time you leave the club starving and noticed the restaurant employees sleeping, you know what to do.

Marcos Taylor—who portrayed the infamous former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight in both Straight Outta Compton and Lifetime’s Surviving Compton TV movie—has been arrested on assault charges. According to TMZ , Mr. Taylor got into an argument at a Carrabba’s Italian Grill in New Jersey that ended up with him punching the Carrabba’s manager in the face multiple times. It’s been reported that it took a number of the Italian Grill’s employees to drag him out of the restaurant, and to make matters worse, at some point he allegedly hit a woman on the side of her head. As far as Taylor’s account of the events, he told TMZ that he is the one who got jumped and his attorney says it was only in an act of self-defense that anything went down, but he didn’t lay hand or foot on anyone.

James T. Hodgkinson has been identified as the man who opened fire with a semiautomatic weapon on Wednesday morning in Alexandria, Virginia. As previously reported, the incident took place around 7 a.m. on a baseball field where Republican Congressmen were taking batting and fielding practice. Five people were reportedly injured in the attack, most prominent among then Representative Steve Scalise from Louisiana . He’s been listed in stable condition and his office confirmed that Scalise was in “good spirits” upon wheeled in for surgery at a local hospital. Rand Paul was among those present during the attack and described the baseball field as a “killing field” during an interview on Morning Joe . He said the death toll would have been unimaginable if not for the swift actions of Capitol Police. Added Congressman Mo Brooks, who estimates that Hodgkinson fired at minimum 50 rounds before authorities took him out. “I see a rifle… I hear another blam… at the same time I heard Steve Scalise scream. He was shot… It sure as heck wasn’t an accident. He was going after elected officials.” It has since been confirmed that Hodgkinson asked someone close to the baseball field whether the man playing on it were Republicans or Democrats. As of 9:45 a.m. EST, Steve Scalise was in stable condition and entering surgery following a heinous attack orchestrated by James T. Hodgkinson. “We may have our differences, but we do well, in times like these, to remember that everyone who serves in our nation’s capital is here because, above all, they love our country,” President Trump said in a statement, adding: “We can all agree that we are blessed to be Americans, that our children deserve to grow up in a nation of safety and peace, and that we are strongest when we are unified and when we work together for the common good.” “Please take a moment today to cherish those you love, and always remember those who serve and keep us safe. God bless them all, God bless you, and God Bless America.” The President also confirmed that James T. Hodgkinson is dead from the injuries he sustained upon exchanging gunfire with officers. This is what we know about James T. Hodgkinson: – He was a 66-year old resident of Belleville, Illinois. – He belonged to a number of anti-Republican groups, including one called “Terminate the Republican Party.” – He was a licensed home inspector from 1994 to 1997 and also from 2003 through 2016. – Two days ago, Hodgkinson shared an angry tweet about President Trump on Facebook. It reads as follows: I Want to Say Mr. President, for being an ass hole you are Truly the Biggest Ass Hole We Have Ever Had in the Oval Office. – He has been arrested or cited for such offenses such as: Failing to obtain electrical permits, damaging a motor vehicle, resisting a peace officer, eluding police, criminal damage to property, driving under the influence and assorted traffic violations. Hodgkinson also volunteered for the Presidential campaign of Senator Bernie Sanders in 2016. Upon learning this piece of information, Sanders released the following statement: “I am sickened by this despicable act. Let me be as clear as I can be: “Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms.” Law enforcement officials say there’s no reason to believe the assailant had ties to international terrorism. Two firearms, a rifle and a handgun, were recovered from the scene, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives say. The shooting also wounded two members of a dignitary protection unit of the U.S. Capitol Police,. along with two members of the Capitol Police. All are in good condition.
Amanda Stanton knows the double-edged sword of social media all too well. She’s competed on The Bachelor and signed up for two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise , but what’s drawn the ire of fans and followers isn’t her reality show antics — but her parenting. So now she’s taken to Instagram to BLAST mom-shamers who think that she’s neglecting her kids. “I don’t normally like to address the trolls/mom shamers … but it’s so out of control!” We don’t usually recommend addressing trolls, but we know how irresistible the temptation can be. And in this case, we’re glad that she did. “I’d like to take a moment to clarify first of all that my kids DO have a father that is part of their life. They spend time with him too.” We wonder how many of the mom-shamers just don’t understand how custody arrangements work. “So if you see a photo of me without my kids one weekend and comment something like ‘mother of the year’ or ‘wow shouldn’t she be with her kids?’ Well, there’s a VERY good chance that I can’t be with them because they’re with their dad.” Children should always come first for any parent, but they don’t need to spend every moment when they’re apart from their children laying about despondently like they’re on a commercial for depression meds. Her post went out before Bachelor in Paradise ‘s production was shut down and everyone was sent home, so she also defended her decision to appear on the show’s fourth season . “As far as Bachelor in Paradise goes, it doesn’t film for very long at ALL. I know it airs for 2 months … but it actually takes a lot less than that to film it.” Now, Amanda, isn’t saying that that going to ruin the TV magic? We kid, of course. Any TV magic that Bachelor in Paradise might have used to make viewers forget the true nature of reality television was pretty effectively neutralized. You know, by the whole sexual misconduct investigation . You’d think that after her relationship with Josh Murray ended disastrously , she’d have learned her lesson about using reality TV to actually find a partner, but she decided to do another season. But you know what? If it works, it works. And if it doesn’t work, she still brings in more money to give her children an even better life. That’s our take, anyway. Though clearly this season of Bachelor in Paradise hasn’t worked out as planned and may never actually happen. “I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home and spend more time with my kids than most parents.” Brag much? We know that she’s trying to be reassuring, but some parents are tormented by how much of their children’s lives they miss because of work. Anyway, the rest of her message is kinder. She explains that when she’s filming, her children stay with their father or grandparents. Which makes sense — that’s usually how life works, it’s just that most people are on work trips or something instead of filming. Then she talks about how, you know, different parents lead different lives, but this time sounding a little less snooty about it than she did when she bragged about working from home. “I understand that most parents don’t go on reality TV shows … but everyone’s lives are different. … My kids are my entire world. I am doing my best to give them a great life.” And, honestly, that’s why we have to come down on her side, more than anything else. Fame can be toxic, but a little fame and the money that can come with it can make the difference between a good life and a great one. How many kids wish that their parents had gotten opportunities like Amanda Stanton has? Can you imagine how her children would react if they grew older and learned that she’d declined the chance to pursue a reality career because she wanted to spend every minute with them? She’s not dropping them off at the mall to wander around for hours (they’re 3 and 4), she’s leaving them with their relatives who love them. Some cases of parent-shaming are well-deserved . B these mom-shamers sound like their families never knew to cut the umbilical cord. In news that will surprise literally no one, the feud between Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes just keeps on getting worse. And, yet again, Eddie Cibrian is stepping into defend his wacky wife. The issue is the same as it was last week — Brandi got upset that LeAnn viewed her boyfriend’s Snapchat videos and then coincidentally ended up at the same restaurant as her. LeAnn brought Brandi’s children and Eddie to celebrate Stepmother’s Day, and Brandi perceived the move to be a calculated attempt to upset her . (Brandi was also upset because LeAnn has allegedly been trying to copy her whole entire life for nearly a decade now, but they all seem to be focused on the Snapchat incident, so we’ll stick to that.) Eddie responded to Brandi’s claims — or, as he called it, her “foolishness” — in a statement telling the world that “I will not allow false and reverse accusations to go unanswered about my wife.” He said that LeAnn is “a fantastic stepmom to the boys,” and that she’s “always gracious to their mother,” which is a laugh . Then, in another statement, he claimed that when everyone was at that same restaurant, “Brandi was very drunk” and kept trying to come to the Cibrians’ table. “After witnessing Brandi’s behavior at the restaurant,” he said, “I was concerned about what pictures Brandi might post.” “We looked at their socials after we got home to make sure there was nothing of concern. That’s exactly how it all went down.” And, well, if Eddie took the time to specifically say that “that’s exactly how it all went down,” looks like we’ve got no choice but to trust him. But Brandi’s still not having it. In a new statement to Us Weekly, Brandi insists that LeAnn viewed her boyfriend’s Snapchats before they went to the restaurant. “At the moment we saw them at Nobu we questioned the timing and saw they had viewed the Snapchats prior,” she says. “This happened while we were at the restaurant.” “To justify your wife’s stalking of my boyfriend’s social media as you were ‘concerned’ as to what we might post seems a bit farfetched.” Well, she’s not wrong. Brandi adds that “I am not interested in this back-and-forth game. I am asking for them to leave us alone and not monitor our lives through social media and other methods.” She also tweeted “Why is Eddie speaking out for LeAnn she’s 35 & old enough to defend herself isn’t she? Someone balls have been clipped, her bitch I guess!” When asked why she was bringing up their personal issues on social media, she wrote “I’d rather not but it’s always been the only way I can curb their behavior at least for a time being.” “The amount of sh-t I’ve put up with privately is ridiculous. They look like their innocent because they do it to me in private.” Sadly, she added that “My kids will know how I was treated one day. I’ve never discouraged my boys from loving her. She’s the one wanted to get rid of my title!” She also advised Eddie to “tell his wife to have some boundaries. 8 years of letting her do crazy sh-t! Enough is enough.” So it sounds like both Brandi and Eddie have their own version of how things went down, and unless one of them admits they’re lying (or unless Snapchat comes through with some time stamps), we’ll never know the truth. WELP! Kenya Moore Serves Matt Jordan A Restraining Order Kenya Moore should finally feel safe now that he ex has been served a restraining order. As previously reported the RHOA star filed a petition for a restraining order against Matt Jordan because she “feared for her life.” Why? Because the window-breaking reality star allegedly told someone she would “get what she deserves” after they broke up. Now after months of dodging it, Matt’s been formally served. According to AllAboutTheTea the personal trainer who “keeps a low profile” was tricked into being served the restraining order by Kenya’s publicist. The site reports that on Thursday (June 1st) Matt ran into Kenya’s publicist at a local mall and “expressed his frustration” over Kenya’s recent “Breakfast Club” interview. While chatting with the hosts it was alleged that her publicist demanded that Matt be referred to as “that boy” and a none too pleased Matt confronted the publicist about it. The publicist then allegedly told Matt that that was untrue, and he no longer worked with the RHOA star because she owed him money. He then offered to help him seek positive press opportunities and asked to chat at a local restaurant. Matt allegedly fell for the whole act and after five minutes of meeting with the publicist at the restaurant, a process server (suddenly) popped up and served him. Twirl on that, Matt!
