JWoww Dishes Relationship Advice On ‘Tonight Show’

‘Jersey Shore’ star is out promoting her book, ‘The Rules According to JWoww.’ By Terri Schwartz JWoww on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Photo: NBC Though Jenni “JWoww” Farley is one of the most lovable characters from “Jersey Shore” both on- and offscreen, she certainly has had her problems with relationships. For the first season of the show, she entered the Shore house in a steady relationship with boyfriend Tommy, but after a steamy make-out session with castmate Pauly D, he broke it off with her. Now, however, she’s seven months into a relationship with boyfriend Roger and told Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” that she has learned her lesson. “I wrote the book [‘The Rules According to JWoww’] when I was in the middle of our relationship, about four months ago, and I based it off him,” she told Leno on Wednesday night’s show. “I was like, this is what I did wrong with all my exes, and now I found him.” The book details JWoww’s secrets on how to land the guy you want and how to destroy the competition, and she shared some of her sage advice on “The Tonight Show.” Rule number one for a first date? Don’t drink. “Don’t end up like we are on the show. Avoid that,” the 23-year-old said with a laugh. “You want to build communication. You want to listen to what they’re saying.” JWoww said she’s been in three serious relationships so far, and has had her share of dating men both good and bad. When Leno asked her if she hopes she and Roger will still be together the next time she comes on the show, she said she hopes so. But JWoww isn’t sure whether Roger will be visiting her when the “Jersey Shore” gang heads to Italy for the coming season. Still, with her advice book built around their relationship, it seems that sticking by her own rules — like being up front about her eating habits and not settling for a guy whose lifestyle she has a problem with — has been keeping the two lovebirds happy. Take for instance rule 17: Bust his balls a little. “Roger’s going to kill me. He’s a bodybuilder, he’s huge, he’s about 6′ 3″. E! spokesman John Rizzotti told the New York Post that rumors of Disick’s proposal and a Kourtney and Scott E! spin-off are “not true.” Wednesday’s story reported that Disick had proposed to Kardashian in the last episode of her “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” show “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” and that the two would have a new E! show that followed them as they planned their wedding. ‘Glee’ Creator Ryan Murphy Being Eyed To Direct ‘Annie’ Remake

Murphy is being courted by producer Will Smith and Sony Pictures to helm the reboot of the movie musical, according to Dealine.com. By Terri Schwartz Ryan Murphy Photo: Bryan Bedder/ Getty Images With Will Smith looking to launch daughter Willow’s film career with a remake of “Annie,” it only makes sense that he would turn to the man who helped repopularize the musical genre for the American audience to help him. Enter “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy, who Deadline.com reports is in negotiations to direct the project. In addition to his work with “Glee,” Murphy is as highly regarded at Sony Pictures — the studio that’s overseeing the “Annie” remake — as Smith is, which is likely what helped him land the gig. He directed this past summer’s Julia Roberts drama “Eat, Pray, Love” for Sony and the studio was so impressed with him that they signed a $5 million deal for him to direct another picture with the movie star. And Murphy’s success with songs from musicals like “Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Wicked” has led him to be courted to helm film versions of those productions as well. Smith developed “The Karate Kid” with Sony as a star vehicle for his son Jaden and its release last summer was considered a success. He followed up that ’80s remake with the concept to do a new “Annie” flick with his daughter in the leading role. Though she has not had significant acting parts before (unlike Jaden, who made prominent appearances in “The Pursuit of Happyness” and “The Day the Earth Stood Still”), the 9-year-old has found success as a singer with her pop hit “Whip My Hair.” Negotiations with Murphy reportedly are still in their early stages, but it is clear that Smith and Sony are trying to get the film under way as quickly as possible. The idea for the “Annie” project was only announced last month, but if Murphy does come on board, don’t be surprised if you hear the “Glee” kids singing “It’s a Hard Knock Life” in the near future. Tobey Maguire Thinks New ‘Spider-Man’ Suit Is ‘Cool’

By Terri Schwartz Tobey Maguire Photo: George Pimentel/ Getty Images PARK CITY, Utah — Ever since Andrew Garfield was announced to star as Spider-Man in Marc Webb’s big-screen reboot of the Marvel superhero franchise, all eyes have been turned to Tobey Maguire to see what his response would be. It’s not so much that Garfield replaced Maguire as Peter Parker as that Sony, who produces the films, decided that the series would be better served if it followed the teenage version of Parker through his transition — you know, to tap into the “Twilight” teen audience. And thus, the yet-untitled “Spider-Man” prequel was born. But there never has been any hard feelings between the two Spideys, at least publicly. The first picture of Garfield as Spider-Man hit the Internet on January 13, and it showed a different take on the famed suit than the one Maguire donned in the three Sam Raimi films. MTV recently caught up with Maguire at the Sundance Film Festival, and the former “Spider-Man” star said he has seen the new suit and liked what he saw. “I thought it looked cool,” revealed Maguire. “I mean, I think they did a great job with the design of it, and I’m excited to see it in action.” It’s not the first time Maguire has voiced his approval of the “Spider-Man” prequel . During a December interview with BBC News, Garfield admitted that Maguire had reached out to him to congratulate him on the role and give him his backing. “He sent me a lovely message through a mutual friend,” said Garfield. “He gave me his support, and it meant a great deal, of course, because part of the reason I love and have continued to love this character was because of his portrayal. To step into those shoes is no mean feat. It was generous of him to reach out and say something, so I’m thankful.” The “Spider-Man” prequel is filming right now, and is set to be released on July 3, 2012. Owen Wilson To Be A Dad

Actor and his girlfriend, Jade Duell, are ‘due any day,’ a rep tells Us Weekly. By Terri Schwartz Owen Wilson Photo: Jim Spellman/Getty Images Owen Wilson is the latest Hollywood celebrity to join the soon-to-be-parent club. A representative for the actor confirmed to Us Weekly that Wilson and his girlfriend of more than a year, Jade Duell, are expecting their first child. Duell, who is “due any day,” is currently in Hawaii where she plans to give birth as naturally as possible. This will be the first child for the 42-year-old “Little Fockers” star, and an insider told Us that Wilson is “very excited and involved with the pregnancy.” They added that he “has been doing research and learning as much as he can. He’s super into it and asks a lot of questions to make sure he knows what’s going on every step of the way.” This news comes just hours after Marion Cotillard and her boyfriend of three years, Guillaume Canet , announced they are also expecting their first child. On Sunday, David and Victoria Beckham revealed that they are expecting their fourth child, and Natalie Portman made headlines in late December when she announced that she was newly engaged and pregnant. After “Fockers,” Wilson’s next film to hit theaters is the screwball comedy “Hall Pass,” which co-stars Jason Sudeikis and is set to hit theaters February 25. He also reprises his voice-acting role as Lightning McQueen in “Cars 2,” out June 24, and is set to voice-act alongside his brother, Luke Wilson, in the animated comedy “Turkeys.” Share your well-wishes for the couple in the comments!

Waka Flocka Flame Released From Jail

Deputy Fielder of Georgia’s Henry County Sherriff’s Office confirmed to MTV News that the Atlanta rapper, born Juaquin Malphurs, was at released at 3:33 p.m. after posting $31,950 bond. Waka turned himself in to authorities Monday after his home was raided and his manager-mom Deb Antney and his So Icey mentor Gucci Mane were briefly detained. The “No Hands” rapper was booked on several charges, including possession of marijuana and hydrocodone, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of probation for driving on a suspended license. Antney has told MTV News that despite reports the raid was part of an investigation into a prostitution organization, Waka was not involved in that type of activity. “It had nothing to do with prostitution,” Antney said last month. “The weapons they found were licensed weapons. There was under an ounce of marijuana, but it was nothing but a blunt. The other drugs were medication that was in Waka’s room from when he got hurt,” Antney said, referencing the “O Let’s Do It” spitter’s shooting in January 2010 . Waka has staunchly denied that he’s involved in any illegal activity, maintaining that he has no plans to dip into street dealings now that he’s a hitmaking hip-hop star. “Why would I rap and go try to street gang bang? That’s hustling backwards,” he insisted in December. “Why would I wanna rap all around the world and then go hit the streets and gang bang? I’m a rapper, I’m not a [gang-banger]. How can you gang bang and be a rapper? I don’t understand that. I would love to find out where their information is coming from. Los Angeles was a bit chilly, but mini-dresses abounded on the sapphire carpet. Taylor Swift wore a short princess-style light-pink dress and donned a traditional updo. Justin Bieber’s new girlfriend, Selena Gomez , also went the light-pink route, but her short dress had a bit more pop with its giant frill on her right shoulder. “90210” star AnnaLynne McCord wore a very traditional blue sapphire dress that matched the carpet with a cowl front and an open back and appropriate gold heels. But it wasn’t only the girls turning heads on the red carpet. Zac Efron showed off his new short haircut and wore a black tux with matching vest and blue tie. New father Neil Patrick Harris went tie-less but still rocked the traditional look, while “Nikita” star Shane West also went the classic route. Michelle Williams Says She’ll Watch ‘Brokeback Mountain’ With Daughter

Actress says Matilda will see the film in which her mother and father Heath Ledger co-starred ‘when she’s ready.’ By Terri Schwartz Michelle Williams Photo: Getty Images Michelle Williams already told MTV News that she’ll show her daughter Matilda her racy drama “Blue Valentine” someday, but that’s not the only controversial film the actress thinks she’ll be proud to show her child. In an interview with Angeleno magazine , Williams said that there will be a time in Matilda’s future when she will sit down and show her daughter “Brokeback Mountain,” a film that has a special place in Williams’ heart. “I will watch it with her, when she’s ready,” she said of the gay-cowboy film in which she co-starred with the late Heath Ledger, Matilda’s father. “It is hard to imagine what that would feel like, but one day, yes, we will watch it together.” When describing why “Brokeback” was so important to their family, Williams said, “I was just an actor who happened to be lucky enough to be in the right place, and it was the place where I met Matilda’s father, and that is a lot. It was a lot. And it will be a lot for Matilda too, when she gets around to watching it.” Matilda is only 5-years-old now, but Williams told MTV that she is excited for the day when she can share her work with her child. She described “Blue Valentine” as a movie she could “stand behind” and has been thinking a lot about what Matilda’s reaction to her filmography will be. “I feel like I’m excited for the day when she’s old enough to see it, because my aim is to make her proud that the time I spent away from her wasn’t in vain,” she explained. Williams recently opened up to the press about Ledger’s death. Her ex-boyfriend was found dead in his apartment on January 22, 2008, at age 28. His death was attributed to an accidental overdose of a number of prescription medications. “I’ve found meanings around the circumstance, but the actual event itself still doesn’t … I can’t find a meaning for it,” Williams told ABC’s “Nightline.” “I can find meanings in things and people and relationships that have sprung up and friendships that have strengthened. A new clip from the film shows how Bieber’s talent for drums that surfaced at a young age. It’s also full of more cute Bieber baby videos . “He never had any lessons or anything. I just never thought of it being anything other than for fun,” Bieber’s mother Pattie Malette says in the clip. Bieber’s drum collection quickly expanded from a handheld drum to a mini drum kit, and eventually, his family friends held a benefit concert and raised enough money to buy the young prodigy his own set of Pearl drums. The 16-year-old pop star made waves at the 2010 VMAs when he rocked out on the drums during his amplified set. He also showed off his skills on the skins at the 2009 Jingle Ball in Sacramento , where he played an impressive drum solo during Cobra Starship’s performance. Starship frontman Gabe Saporta, who had been trying to challenge Bieber to a dance off, tweeted after the fact, “Justin Bieber smoked me hard tonight. He couldn’t win the dance off. But he shredded a gnarly drum solo. I back this kid on the real. Legit.” Bieber wouldn’t be the first artist to start out behind the kit before his vocal capabilities propelled him to the spotlight. He joins the powerful ranks of drummers-turned-singers such as Dave Grohl, Phil Collins, Karen Carpenter, Ringo Starr and Tommy Lee. ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Star Billy Boyd Marries Ali McKinnon

By Terri Schwartz Billy Boyd Photo: Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images Love continued to linger in the air Wednesday (December 29) as Billy Boyd, best known as Pippin the hobbit in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Ali McKinnon. Though he earned international fame and legions of fans for a quest for a different One Ring, The Evening Times reports Boyd kept the wedding very small and intimate. Boyd and McKinnon met in 2002 at a pantomime (British winter musical comedy theater) she was appearing in. The two have a 4-year-old son, Jack, and have been living together in Glasgow’s West End for several years. The Evening Times reports the two were married at Oran Mor, just around the corner from their home. The venue sounds like something straight out of Middle Earth, but it’s actually a converted church that was turned into a cultural center including a couple of restaurants and bars, a nightclub and, of course, a beautiful private-events space. Oran Mor wedding coordinator Louise Turner said she’d met with the couple a few times and “they have been lovely to deal with.” She said only 30 friends and family members attended the ceremony, and the reception was planned for about 160. “It’s not a massive bash, and it will be quite intimate,” Turner said. Though the “Rings” cast has stayed close since the premiere of “Return of the King” in 2003, the Times implied that Boyd’s co-stars — including Elijah Wood, Ian McKellan and Orlando Bloom — did not attend the wedding. In addition to his role in the three “Lord of the Rings” films, Boyd won acclaim for his roles in “The Stone of Destiny,” “The Flying Scotsman” and “On a Clear Day.” He was named Britain’s most eligible bachelor, placing ahead of Prince William, who got engaged this year.
