Rob Kardashian & Blac Chyna Wedding: Officially Called Off?!

By any measure, Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have had their share of troubles over the course of their year-long relationship. In fact, it often seems they had nothing but troubles. Through it all, however, Rob and Blac never let their frequent arguments and obvious incompatibility interfere with what really matters… … the profitability of their reality show, Rob & Chyna , which was recently  picked up for second season  by the family network E! But now, it looks like the long-hyped Rob and Blac wedding special (along with production of the show’s second season) is on indefinite hold. Why? No one’s saying concretely, but the principal players finally realizing it would be a terrible idea for them to get married is a factor. At least we’re assuming as much. So what finally led Rob and Blac to the same conclusion that the rest of the world reached about five minutes after they first got together? Was it the creepiness of the fact that a marriage would mean that Rob and his sister Kylie Jenner will likely soon have the same stepson? Did they finally realize that a couple engaged in violent drunken fights on a regular basis probably shouldn’t be making any permanent commitments? No, apparently the thin-skinned, emotionally combustible reality stars decided to hold off for an appropriately superficial reason: Blac feels Rob is too fat to be husband material. In fairness, sources claim the reasoning behind this decision has less to do with the troubled 29-year-old’s appearance than his health. In that respect, it’s hard to argue against this. As you may recall, Rob was hospitalized following flare ups in his diabetes symptoms, which have wreaked havoc on him over the last month. It’s also been a factor in his depression through the years. The incident apparently prompted to Blac to inform him that their relationship can’t proceed unless he starts taking better care of himself. “He will not marry Blac Chyna looking like he does,” a source close to the situation tells celebrity gossip staple Radar Online. Apparently, Rob agrees with his future wife’s assessment, and feels he must make his health his top priority at this point: “The hospitalization was just a huge wake-up call and now he knows that he must lose this weight because, if not, he could die.” “He has a lot of pressure on him right now and he usually turns to food to cope with it,” the alleged insider continued to explain. “Everyone in his family just wants him to be happy and he is simply not happy being overweight and unhealthy like he is.” Of course, some of that pressure is a result of the most ill-advised business venture in the history of celebrity side-projects: “Rob knows that if he doesn’t lose weight that his fitness company will tank,” the source says, summing up what’s truly at stake. LuAnn De Lesseps: Wedding Ruined By Jill Zarin?!?

Did anyone seriously that LuAnn De Lesseps could get married without there being a whole lot of drama? The Real Housewives of New York City star has proven many times that the drama just seems to follow her wherever she goes.  That’s not entirely a bad thing if you have the camera crews following you to try and get some juicy footage for the latest season of your reality show.  However, there’s word that the only camera crew in sight during LuAnn’s marriage to Tom D’Agostino was from none other than People Magazine.  LuAnn allegedly decided to tell RHONY execs that she wanted her wedding to be kept private in order to have the magazine cover the wedding for a $20,000 fee.  If you keep up to speed with the likes of Jill Zarin on Instagram, you were probably wondering why she was acting like she was the only eyes into the exclusive event.  That’s because there’s now word that former RHONY star Zarin sabotaged LuAnn and Tom’s big pay check by giving too much away on social media. Yes, that’s a lofty sum for some wedding pictures, but the magazine are not willing to shell out the dough because Jill’s Instagram spoiled the goodies. If this turns out to be true, LuAnn and Tom will not be impressed. How could you realistically forgive someone who lost you $20,000? That’s far from the only controversy surrounding the nuptials.  On the gift side of things, there is word that the pair initially requested that guests donated to one of two charities as opposed to bringing gifts.  That’s a nice gesture, but not when you change things up at the last minute.  The pair allegedly set up a GoFundMe page for a relative to help them pay their medical expenses, but there was no indication about who the mystery person was.  The pair asked that people donate to the the page instead of donating to the charities.  “You’re going to spend a half-million-plus on a wedding, and then ask your friends to cough up for your relative’s Band-Aids?,” sniped one. “LuAnn and Tom are both very rich — [they should] write a check to their relative and not hustle their wedding guests for cash.” What do you think about all of this?  Sound off below! Girl Meets World: Canceled After Three Seasons!

Looks like the rumors about Girl Meets World not make the cut for a fourth season were actually true since the Disney Channel series has been canceled after three seasons.  The Twitter handle for the writers of the series took to Twitter on Wednesday night to confirm that the show was really over.  “It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over,” said the tweets.  “I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty. Please watch our January episodes” Have a look at all of the tweets from the writer below.  Series star, Rowan Blanchard was devastated by the news and revealed some of her thoughts on the matter via Twitter.  “Being on Girl Meets World is the most significant event in my life thus far, it changed absolutely every aspect of it, and takes up most of the life, I am able to remember,” Rowan Blanchard wrote. View Slideshow: 19 Teen Dramas We Miss More and More Everyday “It is with this cast family I experienced mourning and heartbreak and overjoyment and long days that turned into long nights, each and every moment so painstakingly beautiful.”  Thanks to the show I have four moms, three of which are named Elizabeth, all of which became best friends themselves.” Rowan added, “Doing a show in general, specifically doing a show as a child into your teenhood, is so incredibly cosmic and scary but you do it because you love these people, because this has become your routine, because it is the closest you will get to being in real school, etc.” “I am crying typing this because yes, we were making a show, but our lives turned into a movie. We dressed The Breakfast Club, hid under stairwells to tell each other about our crushes, sobbed together when we suffered the death our teacher… these are things you don’t forget. That I will never forget.” The cancelation comes as the shock to pretty much no one. After Disney Channel refused to confirm the series’ fate, fans have been wondering what would become of it.  Recently, Rider Strong sent shock waves through the fan base when he implied that the show was over, but sources close to the production refuted the claims, saying there was no word on a renewal.  Unfortunately, it seems like most of the cast and crew had a feeling the show was over as a lot of them seemed to say goodbye to the show when filming concluded.  What do you think about the show coming to a close?  Sound off below!

The Wit & Wisdom of Gossip Girl: Make Me Wanna Die

It took four seasons — well, three seasons and nine episodes — but the Gossip Girl creative team finally produced their worst hour of television ever. Well done, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage! “Witches of Bushwick” was everything a terrible episode of Gossip Girl normally is — stagnant, convoluted and boring — but with the added bonus of having the three worst characters come out on top. Yep, if you watch Gossip Girl for Vanessa, Jenny and Juliet, this was the episode for you! Wait, no one watches for them?

Breaking Bad Creator Vince Gilligan on AMC’s ‘Big Balls’ and a Potential Fifth Season

Over the course of three seasons, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has transformed his protagonist from a spineless husband and chemistry teacher into a cold-hearted meth chemist who neglects his family in order to churn out hundreds of pounds of lethal crystal for cash. The role, born somewhere deep in Gilligan’s subconscious, won star Bryan Cranston back-to-back Emmys, and tied together three seasons of one of the best (and darkest) dramas on television today. Gilligan himself, though, could not be any more different than the grim world and characters he created. In anticipation of this Sunday’s season finale, the native Virginian — who also wrote and produced over 30 episodes of The X Files and penned the Will Smith blockbuster Hancock — phoned Movieline to cheerfully talk about the nuttiest scene he ever wrote for Walt (that never made it to air), the encouragement of AMC, and the possibility of renewing Breaking Bad for a fifth season.

Lost’s Jeff Fahey on the Fate of Frank Lapidus and that Machete Trailer

Last week’s pivotal episode of Lost brought with it many casualties, and though Jin, Sun, and Sayid all got their due, we at Movieline would like to sing a ballad for Frank Lapidus. Over the last three seasons of Lost , Jeff Fahey has managed to make his errant pilot character one of the show’s most-liked with little more than a pocketful of one-liners in his arsenal. He may never have gotten his own flashback episode, but damn if we didn’t love him all the same. Last week was a big one for Fahey, between that nutso Lost episode and the trailer for Machete , where he reprises his Grindhouse role for director Robert Rodriguez. I called him up yesterday to chat about both.

Matthew Weiner Says Mad Men Is Half-Over

Good news: You don’t have to worry about watching Don Draper run around the ’70s wearing bell bottoms. Bad news: Mad Men only has three seasons left! Or so sayeth creator Matthew Weiner, who told the National Association of Broadcasters that his series won’t go past six seasons. No truth to the rumor that in the wake of this announcement, AMC executives have asked Frank Darabont to set Walking Dead in the ’60s. [ The Weekly Blend ]
